I may be rude for saying this but yes...I did root for bellamy to suffocate ecco in 4x10 when he found her cheating and shooting arrows. In fact I cheered louder for than fight than any other in the episode

I want to add to this post because it is another big thing that others have mentioned too: does Echo even like each other and why? Like sure you can love someone but do you also like them you know as a person? 4x09 sorta did a good job of telling us this because it was pretty clear Echo don't actually like each other (yes I was petty and cackled at the negative back and forth that validates this). Again this isn't me being entirely negative just critical about what we've been given.
Even back in episode 4/5 Liz was just fine with whatever decision Max was making because he's going to make them anyway and that's just how he is... but that's not entirely healthy or shows actual trust just like resigned acceptance. Trust would be knowing that the decision includes the other person instead of some false idea of protecting or handling the issue alone. Time and time again we've seen they really don't trust each other and that's sad. They're supposed to be the main couple and I want the main couple to be untied!
And the thing about if a couple like and love each other: We already know Malex do! We've known since they were teens and actually got together (another telling difference) even after all the drama and them having opposite opinions on certain subjects, they have continued to vouch for each other. It's kinda why Malex works. From the start they've wanted to be together, to build a home together and felt that there was something there (they literally have a word for it) and have learned to trust each other AND work together.
Bottom line: Echo still don't trust each other even after everything when they should've been well passed this because aside from their own decade long longing, we've been shown that they don't even like each other.

RNM 4X08
So many people talked about this episode as if it was going to pay back for everything lacking in this season, at least for the Alex and Malex part of it.
People hoped for an Alex centric hour, for flashbacks, for feral Michael. Instead, there wasn't anything like this in the episode. Selling it like an episode for Malex fans was unfair, if not a blatant lie. How can it really be about a couple if they aren't the focus? If everything about them is twisted to be a mirror for someone else? There was so much Echo that it was insane. I know they're the main couple, I'm well aware, but can something not be about them? For once? At least in another character's storyline. But then, I ask myself, why am I surprised? Like always, it's Alex's story but it's not really about him. It's about everyone else. Perceiving him is about Maria and her powers, and keeping secret that he's missing is about Max and Liz's relationship. Not even Michael going feral is strictly about Alex but more about the way he reacts to things. All the promised snapping and going crazy lasted the blink of an eye and then it was all good. Michael got level headed surprisingly fast. I mean, good for him. He's really the pinnacle of emotional maturity this year. He even ends up apologizing to everyone, like he is the one in the wrong. But again, when did RNM allow anyone to be really angry? Never. If a character is lucky, it gets to scream a little bit, throw some punches or a few dirty looks around, and that's it. Unless you're Michael and you're angry at Alex. Then it's going to last two and a half seasons.
So, no Alex, absolutely no flashback of any kind, and not enough feral Michael IMO. So great for an episode that was "for Malex fans". 4x08 was hyped to be something it was not. It's sad.
I'm really not capable of considering Alex's ghostly self like it's enough. I don't really know what to do with it, and with that entire music scene. I would love to be moved by it but it doesn't work for me. Great scene for Michael, but for Malex? I want to see them play together, both physically present, not like this, with a scene that's just a cheesy attempt at pleasing Malex fans. I mean, it's an alien show, it's not like I ever expected it to make sense, but I personally draw the line at this level of cheesy. It's just on the wrong side of ridiculous for me. To be fair, the same concept worked wonders for me in "Ghost", but in that case the ghost was visible. So, maybe my problem is that Alex is still nowhere to be seen, so I don't really feel anything for this "presence". Totally my problem, I get it. I was hoping for so much more in this episode, instead the only good thing that came out of it was Michael's return of perspective on the Oasis question Vs his life with Alex (and his final breakdown in Max's arms). Took long enough.
Everything else was underwhelming for me, even other people's concerns. I didn't fully buy it, but I guess it's normal in a show where these same friendships are nonexistent since season 1. It's a struggle trying to fully believe any of it. And, even so, half of the characters don't really care for Alex, but for what he means for Michael. So, like I said before, it's a great season if you're a Guerin's fan.
I'm happy for the fans that are enjoying this season, I really am. I envy them. Watching RNM would be so much more pleasant if I was capable of doing the same. Sadly, I'm not, and I watched 8 seasons of Arrow and 7 of Agents of shield, so I'm used to a crazy amount of angst for my favorite characters. I'm even used to not seeing my favorite for a very long time. The point is that RNM did an awful job handling Alex's situation. And I don't want to hear anything more regarding the actor's availability. It doesn't matter when the writers can't come up with a compelling solution, and they didn't here.
Let's hope for 4x10 now, maybe we will see a glimpse of Alex at least. Or maybe not, who knows. I really hope so, though, even if I don't believe he will have any real importance outside of Malex in the rest of the season. Still, we'll have to cherish that, even be grateful for it, because it will be the only thing with Alex in it. Disappointed is not enough to explain how I feel about this. And I will still feel the same if they end up married. As the saying goes, it's not about the destination, it's about the journey… and I don't think it has been a great journey so far.

Soooo Cam is definitely suspicious of Max and I get Liz being all "we're partners and have each other's backs" but like, girl when? Literally every season is them lying to each other and keeping secrets until it blows up in their faces! I want to like them, I do, but I'm soooo tired of their storyline going in circles. And at the mid-point of the last season we're going to have her being betrayed by Max again and having the same argument AGAIN, and I'm just...so tired.

One manifestation of anti-transmasculinity I see again and again, primarily in discussions about the existence/denial of anti-transmasculinity is the treatment of transmascs in the same way cis men treat feminists as hysterical women and rad/feminists treat men as ignorant beasts. Of course these really just echo each other in that the other is deemed lesser but it's really in the wording.
You do not, can not ever understand misogyny, you are just ignorant sluts vieing for attention, what happened to you wasn't that bad, you're exaggerating, it was just a joke, it doesn't matter, you deserved it, you're being dramatic, who cares, who cares, who cares. Just shut up already.

Imagine thinking that ANAKIN SKYWALKER - the guy who nearly refuses to help his own Captain go save one of his own men, the guy who routinely forgets to think about the clones' physical limitations when coming up with battle plans (and is the only Jedi we actually see who does so), the guy who straight-up doesn't check in with his own men after the Blue Shadow Virus in favor of checking in on his own wife, the guy who consistently forces his Captain to lie to superior officers for him, the guy who is willing to sacrifice his own men to go save one droid, the guy who throws his own Captain off a wall without warning, the guy who refuses to believe one of his own men when they accuse the Chancellor of being a bad guy just because he likes the Chancellor, the guy who literally enslaves them and uses them as tools to help commit a genocide - would actually take the time to engineer an entire arm for one of his men purely out of the goodness of his heart.
Can't relate.

Calypso x Leo SUCKS, here is why
Look, I get why that sounds harsh, and it is, but hear me out.
First and most importantly, Calypso is a pedophile. We see her fall in love with 14 year old Percy, then 15/16 year old Leo. Already weird, right? And look, if we got some explanation as to why it would ever be okay for a titaness who is thousands of years old to fall in love with CHILDREN, maybe I could see past it.
BUT in the odyssey myth, Odysseus was MUCH older than a teenager. He was already noted to be an old wise king (who was old enough to feign madness from old age) at the START of the Trojan war. Now that war lasted 10 years and add to that the multiple years he spent traveling to Ithaca, and you got an old-ass man. So either Calypso was already a mature adult, or a child thirsting after some old dude. Sure, it happens, but weird. Let's not forget that Odysseus was married and very much still in love with his WIFE Penelope, but Calypso basically kept him hostage on her island and would not let him leave at all.
Now let's get to Percy, he got blamed for not making sure that the gods kept their promise??? Good sir that is a 16 year old who just got out of a WAR and had his memory stolen, of course he didn't check with the gods. ITS NOT HIS RESPONSIBILITY! He shouldn't be held accountable. Also let me remind you that Calypso wanted him when he was 14. Not a good look.
And finally, we get to Leo. Poor poor Leo. A boy who was oh-so starved for love that he took anything he could get, and that's my explanation as to why Calypso x Leo ever happened. Honestly, I adored Leo. I had a crush on him (still kinda do shhh), I won't lie. However, I also adored Annabeth but since her and Percy are amazing together, I could get behind Percabeth. But Caleo? Hell no. Sure, they have a fun dynamic, but it's more of a sibling dynamic in my opinion. I would've rather had Leo x Khione or something. Maybe Leo x Echo cause that would've been adorable. But Caleo??? No. He should've never gone back for her. Leave her to rot.
Secondly, Calypso is simply a jerk. And I'm the type of person who adores asshole characters when done right. Octavian is great because he's an irredeemable asshole AND he gets karma. But Calypso? She's a bitch and gets such a kindhearted boyfriend in return. Like I said, she tried to pressure a (married) man into sleeping with her and is simply a dick to Leo (HER BOYFRIEND) and I could understand if they were siblings, cause siblings are dicks to eachother with love underneath, but she just sucks. She immediately hated him, which she has reason to do after what happened to her, but even after that she was just horrible to Leo. I seriously don't see why he loves, likes, or even tolerates her.
In conclusion, I hate what Rick did to Leo. I adore his stories like no other (which is why I'm so passionate about this), but he really fumbled the bag here. Calypso is just not a good fit for Leo.
Personally I really do prefer Leo x Jason, Leo x Nico or even Leo x Echo. And yes it does sound weird for me to say that considering that I call Calypso a pedo, but I could see Echo not being able to age normally because of being stuck with Narcissus. Echo x Leo is in my opinion much better than Calypso x Leo.
Um sorry- that was really mean but I needed to say that.
On a lighter note I saw this really long worm which was cool! :D

saw haters mad at the ending of echo show, thinking its not convincing enough (???) and not very R rated. but it IS a show abt maya. maya choosing her ancestors, her ppl instead of kingpins criminal empire IS decolonization. she chose to remove the kinpins influence on her. she chose another way than violence, the only way she has learned. she moved beyond violence and vengeance, she chose healing, she chose to grieve her mother and her father properly instead of just entering the endless cycle of violence again. the ending is NOT abt kingpin is abt HER.
stop making everything and anything abt white men

RNM 4x10
I was really hoping for at least a glimpse of Alex in 4x10 but, like the last eight episodes, let's hope for the next one, right? At this point, it's an exhausting exercise because they aren't doing a good job on screen to tie us in this game of wishful thinking and hopeful waiting. Let's be clear, I don't find any joy in being critical but it's just so frustrating. I mean, everything that we are watching it's just a way to drag this season to the end, it doesn't hold any of the high stakes that this storyline could potentially have. It's a shame, really.
We could have had an entire season of meaningful searching making this annoying kidnapping really important but no. Eight episodes later we still don't know anything about why Alex was kidnapped and what that contingency plan really was. Probably nothing, judging how Tezca never acknowledged it, nor with her dark triad or with Isobel in this boring redemption arc. It seems just something thrown in an episode for the fun of it, probably because it sounded cool. If I'm wrong and the last three episodes give us the most epic twist on this front, I will be really happy though. Will it happen? Eh, again, the past experiences tell me no but I hope so (see? the wishful thinking again 😔 so frustrating 😤)
What irks me more it's the low speed at which Alex's storyline is proceeding. Five episodes to have someone just notice that something was wrong (someone not Michael, lol) and five more to finally start searching for real. Amazing. Two episodes full of discourses about how Michael not jumping in the sinkhole was a sign of character growth, because he knew he needed a plan, just to have him going through the portal still without a plan. Do you see the irony in this? It wasn't that the disappointed Alex's fans couldn't see Michael's growth, it was that they were annoyed at yet another attempt to stall the search. I don't care if in canon it's all happening in a handful of days, this thing is so badly handled that it doesn't matter. However you watch this storyline, there's a lack of urgency that's undeniable. Everything falls flat, saving a couple of moments here and there. This season needs to shift gears and it needs to do it fast. I mean, it's kind of overdue at three episodes from the end, right? I don't know if the writers thought they would have a fifth season, so that this one would have been part of a multiseason storyline, but I don't think it really matters.  It's a slow repetitive season no matter what. The new things introduced by the dark triad started strong, and then ended up being a lot of exposition and a compelling villain that now is no more. It's confusing.
For the rest, I don't think anyone from the main cast really got a story arc worthy of this name. Even Echo, it's just the same problem again and again, just in another font 🤷🏻‍♀️ If a was a fan of them I will be pissed, because four season in and they still have the same problems of season one. They talk a lot and make big speeches and promises to just be back at square one when the next science excitement or moral discourse comes along. I understand the beauty of flawed characters, but at a certain point they need to make some kind of progress that sticks. Otherwise it's a never ending repeat of the same thing. At least, even if largely off screen, Malex had real growth on both parts. I still think that, in normal circumstances (aka with a fifth season), there will not be a wedding in 4x13. Otherwise, it will be laughable, because Echo is nowhere ready to take the big step, and Malex has been nonexistent. And going from a move-in with a lot of trauma-related doubts to a wedding after a kidnapping, it feels like a rush decision, even if they are ready and the commitment is there from the start. It sounds like a consolation prize, for whichever couple goes there. It's not ideal but, if it happens, I will gladly take that as a finale. RNM has already made a lot of mistakes, some sort of happy ending it's the least they could do. It's not gonna change that this group of characters deserved better. They all did. And Alex...
Alex deserved so much better than the way he has been treated in these four seasons. I'm going to mourn all it could have been and it has not. I'm sorry if this makes me a bad fan. I don't have the slightest problem admitting that Alex is my favorite and that I care about him and not much more. I think it's fair, because everyone watches a series for a motive. Sometimes it's for the ensemble, sometimes it's for the plot, sometimes it's just for one character. Everything is valid. Disappointment for something you hoped to be good and it wasn't, it's absolutely valid. So, I'm going to wait for Alex to finally return, hoping for the best in terms of screen times and importance, and I'm going to enjoy whatever they'll give us. Will it make me less disappointed? Absolutely not. This is still a season that has wasted my time and I would love to be able to miss the episodes I don't care about, but I'm not that kind of tv watcher. And I can't wait until the end of the season to binge-watch the entire thing, because I really lack the patience to sit through a mess like this in one long session. Me problems, I know. Being aware of that, though, doesn't make me less disappointed. And it's valid.

I think it's funny everyone excepted Max to be the one to propose to Liz during the malex wedding/reception but it was Liz 😂😂 has no one realized Liz is the toxic one and Max is just left to pick up the pieces.
It's the same with keeping Alex missing a secret. Everyone thought it was Max but turns out it was Liz. I had a feeling because when it comes to Alex she has no respect. Everyone forgets that she pushed Maria to act on her feelings right after learning Alex is in love with Michael. Maria was literally like no I only have a crush our best friend is in love with him and lost his virginity to him and Liz pretty much went. Yea cool but you deserve to be selfish. Then literally went to Michael acting like she didn't know shit.
Liz is the problem not Max. Like this bitch fully prepared to leave her friends wedding celebration and whips out a ring right there. That is the definition of selfishness. Doesn't matter how small or simple malexs wedding was, it's still messed up

Trent, Sending to Essek while waiting for the Nein to arrive in Blumenthal, wondering if he can lure Essek in as extra bait since Caleb clearly needs motivation: Shadowhand, I think we are due a conversation. Come; have dinner with me. Or I shall inform the Dynasty of your betrayal.
Essek, who ran from Vurmas Outpost seven years ago, not looking up from his knitting while he catsits in Caleb's home: They knew, but hey.
