🚨ART THEFT WARNING🚨

This is a PSA for fellow artists that @/orendaforest has taken to tracing my art and passing it off as their own. They have used my lines for COMMISSION WORK that they profited off of and what’s more- they refuse to admit they traced my work.

I requested they take the posts that show my work down and they have, though they continued to deny having traced anything. They’ve ONLY taken the posts on tumblr down, not any of the work from their cardd or other media. I’m not sure if there are other artists works who have been taken, but figured it safer to make a post. Below are the pictures they had on their blog and the pieces they traced overlayed on top:

I have since blocked them and urge others to do the same. This is so incredibly infuriating and in turn makes it hard for me to feel like sharing my art- even though I need to to help support myself. Please be vigilant and if you see something, say something. Theft is theft.

Additionally, if anyone knows the people who commissioned some of these pieces (or are the commissioner themself) please feel free to contact me in DM’s. I’d like to make them aware of this ASAP so they know the situation!

Hi everyone, I’m not a big blog and I mostly just lurk here but I won’t stay silent for this one.

This blog has blatantly stolen artwork from @beetlecrest and reposted it as their own. This is wrong and infuriating. They have refused to take down the stolen art or credit beetlecrest in any way and people who have messaged them to take it down have been blocked. The whole blog is full of stolen art. Please spread the word and go support the original artist!

Don't do what I did kids, and properly research your etsy seller to make sure they're a reseller and not just selling others' artwork without permission. Otherwise you'll find yourself trying to use google lens to identify the original artists of the 100 TUA stickers you bought, so that you can make them aware of the seller if they want to make an IP claim, and so you can find a way to reimburse them as an apology for buying from someone who stole their work.

It is not as easy to track down the artists as I thought... The first one I found straight away...others are taking more digging...

The Wenclair fandoms ART THIEF, JBlueSky01, has returned!!!

They have blocked me as they continue to leave the stolen work tagged with their name posted on their profile, while continuing to steal more art and claim it as their own.

I don’t know how to report a post that I’m blocked from viewing, but you all have the ability to report the posts. I will post the direct links to the stolen work, along with the links to the true artist posts under the break. If you have accounts on these websites, then please give the real artists your support. These are just a few of the stolen posts I’ve gone through and was able to track down the true artists, but please keep in mind that it’s highly likely that every single piece of art they have posted is stolen from someone else. Some of their stolen art has thousands of notes, and I’ve even seen people on other websites believing that the work is theirs and actually giving them credit for it, which is completely unfair to the original people who have created the stolen work! Please please spread the word, report the posts and their account, because they will just keep coming back and posting stolen work again, because they are getting away with it.

blocking me doesn’t change the fact that you are a blatant thief and liar. Blocked or not, I will bring attention to the original artists any time I have the chance to do so. You have people on other websites giving you credit for stolen work that they truly think belongs to you. I promise, it’s a much better feeling to get credit for something that you actually put your own time and effort into creating. Stop being literal scum and actually give it a chance, put in the effort to actually create art, instead of stealing things to pass off as your own.

I found an art thief, and I don't know what to do. Please help me!!!

This dude has been stealing art left and right from multiple users from multiple websites. He mainly operates in the Gooseworx/TADC fandom, but I also saw some artwork of William Afton that I can only assume is stolen as well.

He hasn't stolen my own art, but I've been working on doing whatever I can for at least 3 days, mainly talking to this guy and contacting literally every artist I possibly can that he stole from (I don't know how to do a reverse image search, so I could only contact the artists who had left watermarks that I could read and were on Tumblr and the ones I already recognized). However, my heart's been feeling like an erupting volcano every time I think about this guy, so I've realized it's time to turn this over to other people so that they can handle it or at least give me some advice.

And then there's this answer to an ask I sent:

Context: JXD3H is one of the artists he stole from. I contacted them, and while I don't know what conversation they had, this guy deleted the art he stole from them.

In the replies on the screenshotted post, we had this conversation:

Me: Uhhhh, no? No, you didn't? "Fixing it" means you stop stealing art and start deleting all the artwork you've already stolen, or at least add credit to them. But I checked your page, and lo and behold, a whole lot more stolen art!

What does "fixing it" mean to you?

Thief: It's not stolen art, I just take art and publish it and if they tell me to delete it, I deleted it.

Me: You "take art and publish it"? Without asking?

Me: You don't tell them you're doing it? You just rely on them to find it on their own?

He didn't respond after that. He did, however, post multiple more stolen art, same business as usual.

(Note: I doubt that it's a good idea to share the username. Also, while I have been referring to the thief as "he", that is only for simplicity, and I don't know the person's actual pronouns or gender.)

Like I said, my blood's been boiling in a way that can't be healthy over a prolonged period of time. Plus, there's only so much that an autistic girl with anger issues in place of experience can even do.

So, I am literally begging everyone: Please help me out here. What should I do? Can anyone else do something? I can't keep this up, but I can't just let this dickweed get away with it, either.

I find it so funny when people are getting upset and aggressive and block me for reporting them for copyright infringement after deleting my request to take down my stolen art. Don't steal and use people's art without permission and artists won't report you, easy as pie. Also STFU because I had all rights to report you and you had zero rights to use my art. I got also told that they used the cover art for my fanfic for their fanfic and cropped out my title before. Like seriously? This fandom isn't that big. Sooner or later people will notice stuff like that so just don't do it.

(Also do you really think blocking me will do anything? I can still see what you're doing without being logged in and I will report you again if you use my artwork again. All it does is showing me that you know exactly what you're doing and you don't care that it is wrong.)

To the other artists, if you want a short cut to the right form to fill out to get your art taken down, DM me, I have the link still open. (took me a moment to find the right one)
