Lemon balm contains tannins, which are astringent & contribute to lemon balm’s antiviral effects, & eugenol acetate, which is believed to be one of the phytochemicals responsible for lemon balm’s reported antispasmodic effect. (Y’all really need more phytochemicals) 🌱

TODAY...Saturday, October 6th...It started with a seed. Seeds of Sound Music and Arts Festival was founded in 2017 by Anthony Prince and Jennifer 'Uncle Jenny' Edouard. On March 18th, 2017. ATL-based rock band, The Night Shift., had a show at Buffington's in Milledgeville. Too exhausted to drive back to Atlanta, they decided to stay at an Air-BnB in a town called Sparta. It was there that Anthony & Jennifer began their journey with the Oasis Family Tribe, and that year on September 26-28th, the seed was planted. By 2018, a bridge was built and the arts community began connecting at Alphapalooza, Friendship Music Festival, and Sigh in July Music and Arts Festival. Through intangible collaborative experiences, the team has grown to able to produce a cathartic, musically diverse, grassroots camping festival at Oasis Family Farm. This healing and arts festival is both a celebration for the community but a rejuvenating experience for the individual. You, the individual, are invited to create your space within our family, to dive into yourself, and to leave with a heightened sense of compassion in humanity, and an awareness for your community. Be Cherished, Be Healed The Seeds of Sound Family #SOSMA The Jesse Williams Band will be gracing the music platform with a delectable blend of spicy vocal notes and saucy blues strums on the guitar to get your boogie toe jumping Saturday, October 6th from 4-4:45pm. YA'LL COME ON OUT!!! #sparta #sosma #seedsofsound #oasisfamilyfarm #thejessewilliamsband #jessewilliamsband #georgia #music #arts #healing #festival #musicfestival #musicevent #blues #rock #folk #spartaga #thursday #friday #saturday #spartageorgia (at The Oasis Family Farm) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bomn7oJllyt/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=wja4fm2xn77s

Ok soooo I went to Georgia last weekend by myself and it was the most amazing experience ever. I met some great people and made memories and I’m truly sad to be back home, but I’ll most definitely be back over some day. I went specifically because I’m a big walking dead dork so I visited filming locations in Atlanta and Senoia and you guuuuuys omg, if you ever get the chance to visit Senoia please do. It’s such a beautiful little place and it’s so amazing like as soon as you arrive you’re like “oh ok this is Woodbury I see I see and that’s where that happened yup” and so on. I couldn’t believe it. I also stayed the night there at an air bnb with a lovely family who made me feel so welcome and at ease and it was just perfect. I also went to Nic & Norman’s and felt hella cool sippin’ on a zombie cocktail. They have the best key lime pie ever btw. So I have lots of photos from my trip, here’s part 1. If anyone has any questions regarding the tours I went on or whatever message me and I’ll be happy to talk :) I seriously hope all you guys get to visit these places some day, it is an absolute must for walking dead fans, plus the official shop is insane like I spent a ridiculous amount of money on merch. It also has a museum with everyones signatures on the walls and other cool stuff including dARYL’S BIKE. Photo guide: 1. “Away With You” wall seen in opening credits 2. Just nice scenery in Newnan 3 & 4. Inside Morgan’s house 5. Steps up to Morgan’s house 6. Scene where Daryl and Martinez battle for who is manliest 7. More scenery 8. Place where the governor and Rick meet for the first time 9. Lil TWD plague on main street, Senoia 10. Nic & Norman’s, Senoia Stay tuned for more photos.

YouTube - Letterboxd Happy to finally say that my new film, The Death Of A Home, is on YouTube! The Death Of A Home is an experimental documentary about our personal experiences with the gentrification of Atlanta. This documentary specifically concerns our second gentrification in a two-year span with the current rise of emptying out affordable apartments to reconfigure them as tourist Air BNBs and pricier condominiums. It was the second time we were gentrified in a two-year span. This documentary is built up of footage I captured of our daily life during that second gentrification. I've been working on this documentary in periods since late-2018. Most of that time was spent figuring out how exactly to contextualize and sequence all the footage, giving a mental and emotional sense of comprehensiveness that matches the events as they happened. It's odd feeling to post a movie this directly personal, but I've been told over the years that this was a film that had to be finished and released. Most of the documentaries in this style I would make are usually of more casual lives, like with Tree People, or positive events as respectful tributes, like Moonlight Tunnel and the Polymorph Bodyshop Documentary. This film is about as direct I could get when it comes to capturing capitalist alienation on film. The sense of being dehumanized and demoralized as a statistic or product. It's grim.

Today is August 7, 2020. I am currently on a flight home to Atlanta after spending more than two weeks out West in Colorado and Utah. Though I am coming off a desert adventure, I am sitting on this plane feeling intensely anxious. The last time I remember feeling this way was during my sophomore and junior years of college—the years in which I couldn’t see straight and didn’t sleep properly for weeks at a time. So, I am scared. I would very much prefer not to spiral in the way that I did 3 years ago. I would prefer to prove to myself that I have grown since then, and that I have ways of dealing with my anxiety other than just pretending it doesn’t exist. If it turns out that I am unable to handle my anxiety, then I will need to follow up on my years-long intention of getting professional help. Anyway. I wanted to open up a blank page and write a little bit about the past two weeks, rather than writing about my job and my stress levels.
For context: the world is still in the middle of a pandemic. In the US, COVID-19 cases continue to rise every day as public officials make laws, take back laws, and take back their take backs. In general, flying is frowned upon. When I drove up to the Atlanta airport two weeks ago, I felt enormous tidal waves of guilt. I felt selfish, ignorant, and borderline idiotic. But I still went through with it. So I guess none of those feelings really matter.
This summer, Maddie worked for Jefferson County in Golden, Colorado. She was a trail specialist and spent three days a week performing maintenance on trails all around Jefferson County. At the same time, Nevada was driving around the West Coast, spending time in California, Nevada, Arizona, and Colorado. For the past two weeks, both Maddie and Nevada have been living in the suburbs of Denver.
With both of my sisters in a city that I have always wanted to visit, and with the opportunity to work remotely from any location I choose, I felt like I could not pass up such a special moment in time. Special feels like the wrong word to use. I may look back on this decision and think, “IDIOT!” But, for now, I feel grateful for concentrated time with Maddie, who is growing and evolving so quickly and confidently.
I arrived in Colorado on July 23. That weekend, Maddie and I, along with her roommate Emma, made a drive out to Great Sand Dunes National Park. It was wild. There was sand everywhere. The hills were steep and tough to trek, due to our feet sliding backwards four inches with every step we took. But, we eventually found our own little peak to claim. And then we claimed it by eating peanuts and dancing to Harry Styles and throwing our cowboy hats into the wind. We finished the day by ordering six burritos in the drive thru of La Casita, and eating them in the Colorado wilderness. A hard Saturday to beat.
The next day, we met up with Nev to check out UC Boulder’s campus. We grabbed coffee at a Boulder café, walked around the Quad, found Varsity Bridge, and talked smack about our family members. I am so thankful for those moments—no matter how nasty or silly or irritating we may be when we are all together, we are all together.
Unfortunately (the word “unfortunately” is comical in this context), I was not permitted to take more than two days of PTO while in Colorado. For the last week of July, I worked a four-day week before we set off on our four-day weekend in the desert.
We left Thursday night and drove to an Air BnB in Grand Junction, Colorado. We woke up the next morning and drove straight to Arches National Park—the park I have been dreaming of ever since I went to Zion with Zander last year! It was 105 degrees. The air was dry. There were no trees. It was amazing.
Because I am obnoxious and feel the need to prove points that don’t need to be proven, I suggested that we attempt the longest hike in the park—an 8-mile loop through the most northern tip of Arches. To my surprise, Maddie and Emma agreed. Maybe they shouldn’t have. But they did! So we set off! We made it about halfway through the trail—seeing some beautiful arches along the way—and then spent about 90 minutes trying to locate the correct path to take to lead up through the second half of the loop. It was a little bit fun and a little bit concerning.
I love National Parks and I love the West because they make you feel small. You can look at a canyon or a mountain or the clear night sky and feel like a speck. Which then means that all of your problems and worries are smaller than specks. And that’s nice. However, when you are lost in the middle of a canyon, feeling small is not so reassuring. As we drank the last sips of our water, we decided to turn around and cut our losses. So, we did not complete the 8-mile loop, but we did complete an 8-mile hike. I was so thankful to be with my sister in nature. Not even a powerfully persistent dry mouth could ruin the day.
That night, we camped at a private campsite in Moab. We grabbed fresh corn, broccoli, and vegan sausages from the grocery store and grilled them over charcoal. We slept in Emma’s tent, sleeping on the camping pads that I purchased last November when Kristy and I spent the night on Maddie’s dorm floor. I had not been camping since I was little, and I had not felt so disconnected from technology since my time in Uganda. It was a welcome change.
We woke up to the blazing sun burning through the side of our tent, and set off for another stint at Arches. The second time around, we waltzed around the more touristy parts of the Park, taking ~4 minute walks to reach beautiful viewpoints. It was relaxing. And beautiful. And I think we were all happy to have the car within a half mile.
Arches was everything I thought it would be. I wish I could explore the that place for weeks, rather than days.
The second night in Moab, we drove to a Utah state park called Dead Horse Point. It sits at the northern end of Canyonlands National Park. It was insane. I saw the Grand Canyon last year, so I know what big canyons look like, but this one still took my breath away and had me repeatedly saying, “Wow,” like an idiot. I hope that that feeling never goes away no matter how many feats of nature I come across.
We asked the park ranger if we could stay past closing hours, and he suggested that the answer was yes. We laid on the rocks of the canyon wall for hours, watching the sky turn from neon orange to dark blue. It was the night before a Full Moon, and the light of the moon lit up the canyon walls so brightly that we ran and danced and played music until nearly 11PM. The tiny desert mice made a couple of appearances. We said thank you.
Day three in the desert: we drove to the center of Utah. Along our drive, we saw signs that said, “No Services for 100 Miles.” We thought we were in the desert in Moab. But when we drove farther West, we started to realize that Moab is a bustling city in comparison to the center of the state.
We spent the afternoon at Little Wild Horse Canyon, a slot canyon near Goblin Valley State Park. We had a photoshoot between the canyon walls and soaked up the shade that the narrow slots created. It was a beautiful, totally unique ~4 mile hike that left us in high spirits.
That night, we stayed at a campsite in Goblin Valley. Emma got us some firewood and we roasted corn over a fire. Maddie made me tiki masala with chickpeas. There were signs at the campsite that advised boiling water before consuming. We tried. It was very bad.
After dinner, we drove to the valley of the park to soak up the stars. Goblin Valley is home to one of the darkest night skies in the US, and we could tell how special that darkness was, even in the blinding moonlight. Maddie and Emma stripped and ran around the valley naked. I curled up in the crevice of a boulder and stared up for an hour. Sometimes, I wish I would not be such a square. Sometimes, I appreciate my ability to choose the things that bring me most satisfaction, even when others are telling me that I am choosing incorrectly. But that’s for another time.
We drove home to Golden the night after our rendezvous with the goblins, and we all took showers and curled up on the couch after nearly four full days in the desert heat.
I have already written this so many times, which I hope suggests that it is authentic: I am so thankful for experiences like the one I had last weekend. Particularly in the midst of a world that is stressful for me as an individual, but also stressful for global society, I feel so lucky to have the relationships and resources at my fingertips to experience truly special pieces of life. Never have I ever wanted to buy a van and live off of rice and beans so badly. There is so much that I haven’t seen and so much that I want to see again. I often feel as though I approach life like a race—trying to squeeze in experiences even when doing so is inconvenient or difficult or exhausting. I hope this is a good thing. I am not sure yet.
I spent the last four days working from Maddie’s home in Golden. She finished up her summer job this week, and is driving back to North Carolina this weekend. I am landing in Atlanta tonight and moving into my new apartment tomorrow. Jake and Dad are driving down from Raleigh to help me with the insane one-day moving process. They are kind.
I am stressed about work, stressed about moving, stressed about money, stressed about COVID-19, stressed about the social and political atmosphere of the country. Sometimes, it is so much that I break into tears without any specific triggers. But at the same time, I am feeling such immense gratitude. I have siblings who are so smart and thoughtful and unique. I have spent more time with Mom and Dad in 2020 than I did in the four years previous. Zander is loving and kind and gives me advice when I feel helpless. I have a job that is challenging, but full of some of the brightest people I have ever met. I am moving in with one of my best friends from college tomorrow, making a beautiful apartment on 14th Street into our home. I got to see the desert and soak up the dirt. So, really, life is very very good.

COSTA RICA 2019
yasir and i just came back from costa rica - our first international trip together! (not really counting pakistan, because....well it’s not worth counting it). and so, as per tradition (re: green/california) i want to remember my trip so i’m going to record the stuff here!
feb 5th, 2019
had our flight with delta, toronto > atlanta (4 hour layover) > liberia
arrived in liberia at around 9:30 pm at night and went straight to our hostel (hostal nanku) and fell asleep
feb 6th, 2019
woke up in the morning and headed to alamo car rental to get our rental for the week
got our rental and headed to our first destination; tenorio volcano national park
the weather was just gorgeous; sunny and clear skies and the drive was great
did our first hike at tenorio and saw these gorgeous falls (after going down 65698465454 steps - climbing back up them was a bitch and a half)
Tumblr media
for me, i was too tired to continue after the first part of the hike, but yasir went on to the end to see all the different attractions
i sat there and waited for him to get back and rested my head - i hadn’t had breakfast that day and it was a hot hike so i guess that might have been why i felt sort of lightheaded
once he was back, we finished up and went back to the entrance from where i purchased cheese empanadas that a woman was selling at the park entrance (they were delicious, tasted like the sweet dawn bread that you eat in pakistan!)
then we went to arenal and on the way stopped at this little roadside cafe called cafe y macadamia with gorgeous views (below)
Tumblr media
by the time we got to arenal (stayed at arenal observatory and lodge) yasir had already fallen asleep and i got my first taste of actual driving in costa rica; i.e. driving at 60 in total darkness which roads that had little to no shoulder that were twisty and turny and just sort of amazing/creepy to drive on!
we checked in and went to sleep pretty immediately (i think i showered first, actually)
feb 7th, 2019
we woke up and had breakfast at the lodge - this was by far both of our favourite places to stay at during our time at arenal
breakfast was done in their eating hall/dining room which opened out to an observatory deck with the arenal volcano right across from us (pictures of our room and lodge deck view below)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
we finished up our breakfast with coffee on the lodge deck and then went on our free guided walk of the property
this was great! the tour guide took us through the walk and we saw toucans (first time) and danta falls and then we got to take a tractor ride back to the lodge reception (pictures below)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
after this we went back to our room and rested for a bit before going out and climbing the nest - which is this lookout built on the lodge that’s i think 28 floors high!
from the top you can see arenal volcano, cerro chato, and lake arenal and gosh such beautiful views
from here we visited the arenal observatory lodge museum (which was basically a bunch of pictures and then a viewing area for again the volcano); you might think this would get tiring but gosh how often do you get to see such a gorgeous volcano - we tried to make the most of it!
then i went swimming in the lodge pool and spent some time in the hot tub while yasir stayed on his phone (which he did for MOST of the trip - drove me insane and caused a bunch of fights as well)
then we decided to go into the city la fortuna to grab some dinner and incidentally that day my sister javaria was there too; so we had dinner with her and her friend (who was doing the trip with her) and talked about what we’d done/seen so far
the dinner was at this place called nanku; it was delicious and i thoroughly enjoyed it!
then my sister treated us to ice cream (dinner was my treat :p) and they left and yasir and i went back for more ice cream 8- ) lol
when we got back to the lodge, we realized that in my planning of the trip i had fucked up and not planned any place to stay for the following night - so we proceeded to book a night in monteverde and then subsequently cancel after we found out that half the path there is dirt roads and i got worried our 2wd wouldn’t be able to handle it
instead we booked a night in san jose (as it was on the way to manuel antonio - our final destination out of the 3 cities)
after that we went back to the lodge and again fell asleep
feb 8th, 2019
the next morning we grabbed breakfast and then again enjoyed a coffee on the lodge deck
throughout the trip the best weather we experienced was in arenal - nice and windy and sunny and just gorgeous
then we went back to our room to climb a smaller version of the nest lookout on the lodge where it looks out onto lake arenal (instead of the volcano) (picture below)
Tumblr media
again gorgeous views *insert heart eyes emoji* and once we were done we went back to our room to pack and get ready to check out
once we were done, we checked out and went into the city la fortuna again just to sight see and explore a bit before our coffee/chocolate tour at don juan farms
the chocolate and coffee tour was pretty cool! we learned that neither of these items was indigenous to costa rica but are significant exports from there and saw how both these items are made
after the tour, we got into the car and went to san jose for the night
feb 9th, 2019
woke up in san jose the next morning (it was a mission and a half to try and find our air bnb the night before, but we managed :p)
the night before i had looked up stuff to do and found that there was a free walking tour in san jose in the mornings
so we went to that; it was really cool! we walked around the city and the guide explained some of the history
his name was guillermo (hope i’m spelling it correctly) and he was very very knowledgeable and nice and i would definitely recommend the tour again :)
it lasted about 3 hours and then we walked around on our own for a bit and then grabbed lunch from mcdonald’s and then a crepe from pops (this baskin robbins equivalent chain there)
then once again we headed back to the car and went to manuel antonio
feb 10th, 2019
in the morning we had booked the catamaran cruise that went around the beach and we got to do snorkeling
it was the coolest experience in the world! i thought from my greece scuba diving mishap i wouldn’t be able to snorkel, but i was surprisingly OKAY!
yasir, however, was not :p (unsurprisingly) lol he was with the instructor the wholeeee time and was continually being made fun of :p
after snorkeling we got food from the cruise and then headed back to the marina
then we were dropped back to our hotel (casa mare novstrm) and at the hotel we showered and got ready to go to manuel antonio national park to do the tour
at manuel antonio national park i was hoping to do the tour but unfortunately we got there around 2:30 pm and the park closes around 4 pm - so we were advised by the parks admission people that it maybe wasn’t the best time to go in
so we didn’t and i fell into despair thinking my whole costa rica trip i wouldn’t see a SLOTH! (note feb 10th was a sunday and monday all parks are closed so that was shitty because the following day was also our last day in manuel antonio)
then we decided instead to just go to the beach and play in the water; which was super fun
and while we were just lying on the beach watching, yasir found some courage to actually do the parasailing that was happening along the beach
so we did parasailing! i had originally booked my parasailing alone for the following day, but then i figured i better not lose the opportunity while yasir still has some courage in him to do it now, and so we did it together
the experience was amazing - i loved it so much!
after parasailing, we came back to the beach and played in the water some more, watched the sunset and then decided to eat at one of the restaurants along the beach (delicious food)
then we came back to the hotel and fell asleep
feb 11th, 2019
in a last ditch effort to see the sloth, i booked a group guided tour at a private property in manuel antonio
we hiked up to punta quepos and saw the ocean all around and the rainforest and oh man it was soooo beautiful and so hot
and WE FINALLY SAW A SLOTH - actually we saw THREE!
that hike was about 3 hours long, then we came back to the hotel i showered and checked out and once again we were on our way back to liberia
on the way we stopped at pops for ice cream though :p
once we were back in liberia we got dinner at this burger place and then strolled around the city and then checked in to our last hostale (dodero)
we checked in and then we went back out to get some ice cream (just now realizing two desserts in one day, wow) from mcdonald’s and then return our rental car at alamo
we got a ride back from the alamo representative and fell asleep
feb 12th, 2019
woke up the next morning bright and early and finished up our packing
took the bus to the airport (made a scene because gave the incorrect amount of colones lol embarassing moment of the day, complete)
and then at the airport grabbed (a $59) breakfast
then got on our flight for atlanta where we would proceed to have a 9 hour layover (+ flight got delayed because some storm was happening in canada)
in any case though, we left the airport in atlanta to explore and went to the coke museum
which was a pity because when we got there i saw the CNN building and upon googling found that they do tours too! except by the time we got out of the coke museum, the tours had ended - maybe next time atlanta!
then we grabbed some food at the popeyes/burger king and were on our way back to the airport where we rode the terminal train once end-to-end and then dicked around the airport
our flight was delayed an hour and then we boarded and sat in the dormant place for almost an additional hour
reached toronto around 2:30 am feb 13th and baba was there to pick us up and bring us home - where we immediately fell asleep (but i guess not immediately because we first had some biryani that mama had made)
and that was our trip! i loved it and hated it and loved it. i loved it twice as much as hated it (mostly because yasir was on the trip with his phone, not with me) so i guess it was well worth it :p
i would 100% recommend costa rica to anyone as a great tourist destination! and i hope everyone goes to see what a great, educated, peaceful country looks like. and how the people are so chill and kind!
and that’s all! finally finished this post :p
much love,
-k

Why You Should Diversify in Atlanta
Investments come in all shapes and sizes. The investors who see the most profit, boast a diversified, and intelligently put-together portfolio. In this post, we will explain exactly why you should diversify and what you can do to get started!
Why Should I Diversify?
When you diversify your portfolio, real estate or otherwise, you are aiming to lower your risk, while maximizing your return. Investors will agree that a diversified portfolio will yield the results you are after faster, and with the least amount of risk. You should have a plan in place and specific goals in mind. As the market changes, so should your strategy. It is important to be flexible so your investments can change as the market does.
What Should I Invest In?
Rental Properties – Owning a single or multi-family property is a great way to provide additional income. Do your homework on being a landlord or hire a property management company to help you navigate the process until you get the swing of things. One tactic many people use is to purchase a property with up to 4 units, living in one and renting out the other 3. A property with 4 units or less will still qualify for a residential loan. The great thing about rental properties is that you can buy 1 or 10. You can start small, and grow it into an empire, or simply own a rental property that pays for itself. Many people do this with their future retirement homes.
Fix and Flip Properties – Flipping requires a lot of experience, knowledge and math skills. Many people dive in after watching too much HGTV and get in over their head. If you choose to flip homes, it is wise to have a construction and real estate background. You will need to accurately price repairs, project times and market fluxes. Many people choose to work with a partner. One person being versed in real estate, the other versed in construction.
Commercial Properties – Commercial property investment is often over-looked by new investors. It can be a great niche with low vacancy rates if you are in the right location. There are also great tax breaks that come along with commercial property investment. There is less competition and a great opportunity for continual cash flow.
REIT’s – Or a “Real Estate Investment Trust,” is similar to a mutual fund, except the trust invests in real estate. They purchase both commercial and residential properties. This is a great option for an investor looking to diversify in more of a hands-off investment.
Vacation Rental – With sites like Air BnB, renting out your home to travelers has become much easier, There is a bit of hands-on maintenance involved, however, the right property can see great profits over the course of a month. Renting your home out only 15 days of the month at $150 per night equates to $2250 a month!
Niche Real Estate – This includes things like trailer parks, storage units, and land (often leased for recreation, parking, etc.) These niche investments offer low competition and high returns.
What Else Should I Know?
Try to own in different parts of the state or even the country. This way you won’t have to deal with all your property succumbing to geographical market shifts.
Crowdfunding services can help to connect developers and investors. These services are typically for people with higer incomes.
How Do I Start?
Start planning right away. Think ahead and set your goals. What are you trying to achieve with your portfolio? Consider up-and-coming areas and do your research! Follow your market trends and keep yourself abreast of major real estate transactions in your area. Look into future zoning and connect with professionals who can assist you in finding off-market deals.

Aeration… air, worm holes, elimination of waste that is a benefit to the entire system. These piles of worm poo give me inspiration. They excite me to continue to create healthy soil. They encourage me to share with others the dimensional joy of observation. Nature is abundant and we are responsible to keep it that way.
Save the soil.
Save the butterflies.

We love our 👂👂!! We all love the music, and protecting our ears is CRITICAL in order to enjoy the music until we're 80+ 👴🏼👵🏼 (Can anybody say rave grandpa/grandma?? 😜). Grab these awesome musicians ear filters at the ✨LINK IN BIO✨ to save your ears and help us bring the LIVE @surprisinglysimple and @makinwhoopee experience to you! Each case comes engraved with the SS symbol and a little love note from us ❤. Each case has 3 tan colored (for less obvious look when wearing) filters, so that if you accidentally lose one you aren't out of luck! These clip straight to your key chain so you have them anytime! They are fantastic filters and work excellently for concerts, for airplanes, for sleeping in loud environments (festivals, air bnb, cars on road trips, etc.). 👉🏼👉🏼👉🏼 If you have a testimony for using these, please SHARE in the comments so people can see how well they work! 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼 . . . More on how important hearing protection is..... (especially for frequent concert goers) . . Often times, concerts are 105 Db at the sound board, which we can only sustain for 5 minutes without PERMANENT hearing damage. And think... we often are in front of these massive systems for 8+ hours at festivals.... 😳. These MUSICIANS EAR FILTERS take the volume of all frequencies (except bass, because bass is a physical experience with a big sound system) down by ~16-18 Db to make the concert experience more enjoyable for a longer period of time. If you've ever had ringing in your ears after a concert, that means they have been damaged and these will save your ears! Unlike foam ear plugs that filter the high frequencies more and make voices muffled, these are designed for musicians to filter all frequencies evenly to create an incredibly safe and musical experience. I find that wearing these makes it feel like you are submersed and swimming in the 🔊🔊🔊BASS🔊🔊🔊, without the high frequencies punishing your ears. TRUST ME, there is still plenty of sound for you to hear everything clearly, these will simply save your hearing when used over time ❤ 📸: @sociallyyou (@mk.mcg) (at Atlanta, Georgia)
