not to put my own two cents in on the whole shine debaucle but kpoppies can only pay attention to stuff for 5 seconds and thats why they get upset when groups perform old songs because it isnt in their monthly kpop playlist rotation. also i would be more accepting of the idea that shine is overplayed if the pentaboys didnt love the shit out of that song. like idk if youve ever seen a group perform a song they actively hate or are bored of but its pretty obvious when theyre just going thru the motions but pentagon have so much fun every time they perform shine doing adlibs with the biggest smile jumping around stage
