- CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE II AND CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE III. CARRY FORWARD CONTENT: YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED!
What is “Carry Forward”?
The term “Carry Forward” simply refers to content currently available to players in Modern Warfare II and the current version of Call of Duty: Warzone (such as weapons and cosmetic content, including Bundles, Operators, and other rewards and unlocks from the game), and how much of it will be accessible in Modern Warfare III.
TLDR;
Skins that have been unlocked from various challenges, battle passes, and bought from the store, will move forward to MWIII.
However, limited timed skins and camos that have been featured only for certain time, will not be obtainable again. (ex: Valaria base skin from season 4 battle pass, IO from season 4 Black Cell pack).
If the player does not have the base game of MWII and did not unlock the base skins of some of the operators, they will not be able to obtain that base skin in MWIII. (i.e: operator Nova base skin that the players can unlock from the mission 'Violence and Timing')
All of the blueprints for all of the MWII weapons will move onto MWIII. (for more detailed answer please visit the FAQ site.)
Players cannot equip MWII weapon camo onto MWIII weapons and vice versa. However, you can equip a previously locked MWII Camo onto a MWII weapon in MWIII if you fulfill the unlock criteria in MWIII.
Weapon progression will continuously update between games. Meaning, cross progression between both games for the weapon leveling.
Weapon Charms (including Weapon Mastery Charms), Weapon Stickers (including Decals), Emblems, and Loading Screens all will carry forward to MWIII.
Some vehicle Skins may not carry forward.
Wartracks will not carry forward.
Some Tactical and Lethal equipment may not be available depending on the removing of those items in MWIII, to be replaced with MWIII-only equipment.
Otherwise, all this Modern Warfare II cosmetics will be usable in Modern Warfare III. However, as with Operators and Weapons, any cosmetic item with a limited time unlock won’t be available unless it was unlocked in MWII at the appropriate time.
If you own both games, you’ll have both sets of content, no matter when you purchase. Weapon progression will continuously update between games, and if an Operator is unlocked in Modern Warfare II (via a Campaign, Multiplayer, or a Special Ops Challenge), that (Base) Operator will then become available to use in Modern Warfare III as well.
There is no “carry back” from Modern Warfare III to Modern Warfare II. No MWIII content will be playable in MWII.

*dated september 2023*
i am here to post more things individual to me! this time, it's my top 25 video games. i am honestly not remotely content with this list and will update it around september of this year, and make it a tradition going forward. i never realized how hard it actually is to put this out on a chart/list. i always knew what i held dearly to my heart, but god when it came down to it, i had to REALLY think. imagining how this list will look by the end of this year is currently challenging. this chart is in no order besides grouping series. certain games will ALWAYS be on this list, most definitely the red dead series, and grand theft auto series. those are masterpieces, or damn near. red dead redemption ii is 100% the best game i've ever touched. the first redemption game i still highly regard to be one to stand the test of time. i have a fondness for fallout, there are many things to love, and things to not love, and that's all i'll say there for now. grand theft auto iv has one of the best stories i've played, and it's so played out but the VIBE of that game, the darkness, grittiness, it's great. san andreas is one of my childhood games, i owned so many copies because i was a stupid child. moving onto guitar hero, i still remember my first experience with it at my sister's, i remember getting my first copy of the game from fred's of all places. i mainly play clone hero nowadays, and am mostly average. i play expert, still have never got past that ttfaf intro. i got into wwe pretty early on in my life like most of these games, being able to watch the show weekly and hop in the games after school was special. cozy survival crafting is definitely one of my favorite things ever, and it's funny to call terraria cozy but it is to me LOL. i will never EVER understand terraria hate, how can you hate something so good? i have fallen out of love with minecraft over the years to the (in my opinion) underwhelming updates and odd direction the game has taken. with that however, the new auto-crafter and trial chambers look so sick. i want to say i got into stardew valley in 2018 and have loved it ever since, still haven't gotten through the beginning of ginger island though, maybe someday. ever since extremely late 2017 or early 2018, my main game has been fortnite: battle royale. at one point, i wanted to go pro and make a living streaming, but sadly i am NOT built for that. i've always loved zombies, first experience was probably like season 2-3 twd, and been hooked ever since. project zomboid was such an insane experience in february of last year. such an eye-opener. easily the best zombie game ever made. 7 days to die is also a great game, the impending doom you feel every week is fun and refreshing from what i normally play while still have that survival crafting i love. i grew up on tony hawk games and wasn't sure which ones to put but these were the standouts, and i didn't want to load the list up with a ton from one series. i remember spending all my savings as a kid on saints row: the third and i still wonder if that was a good decision or not. i have played tons of call of duty in my day, although i stopped at ghosts, and have dabbled in and out ever since. black ops is easily my favorite, the campaign, and multiplayer, agh. zombies even. modern warfare 2 is a classic and one i cannot ignore. ghost looks cool. i have played HELLA sims 3 in my lifetime, yes i have played the sims 4 and i can confidently say the sims 3 clears with ease. i dumped crazy hours into the console ports and the pc as well. around this final stretch of the list is where i really struggled so i went for nostalgia with atv off-road fury 2. that series and mx vs atv were definitely a blast to 10 and below me, and might even be today. i'm not quite sure. if anyone actually finishes this, i am sorry, for i am the rambler.

1, 4, 13, 18, 29 for the COD ask game?
1. Favorite Call of Duty? Black Ops 1, always. I loved every part of it. Campaign was amazing and memorable, I have so many fun memories in multiplayer with friends and randoms and went crazy leveling up, and that was my main zombies game for years. Could talk about my fave memories of this damn game forever lol
4. How did you get into Call of Duty? I'll be so real with you, it was on accident. I actually despised CoD because in like 2009/2010 I was obsessed with the Left 4 Dead games and was so mad that people were leaving L4D to play CoD Zombies. My younger stepbrother at the time got Black Ops for Christmas and we played Kino together and I remember being like "hey this is pretty cool." Then it all went downhill and I never let it go lmfao.
13. Favorite MP mode? I am a fucking god at Gun Game (I'm assuming this means multiplayer)
18. Character(s) you think is underrated? I had this exact answer the first time I did this meme but Ultimis Takeo never gets enough love.
29. Three hopes for the upcoming Call of Duty game? (At the time this post was made, it’s COD: Vanguard) Honestly I don't really have any hopes for the games anymore. I actually had a friend message a few days ago saying DID YOU HEAR ABOUT MW3 and I was like "wait thats... huh????" I became so jaded after they just got worse every year UGH

Soo I’m a long time lurker on you blog and I recently gotten into COD, I have been consuming any crum of any of the operators and have been playing the game as well as the campaign and of course reading you’re fics as well.
Ok back story over my question: How did you get into the COD community from the games or just by stumbling onto them by accident because beautiful men and women?
Love you’re other works too not just the cod ones also hope you have a good day or night thank you
Okay, so, when I was a wee child, I used to watch my dad and brother play video games until I was old enough to start playing myself (and by playing I mean designing characters and being pretty*). That I remember, the first COD game I ever played was Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Fell in love right then. I've always loved war games or anything involving war. My dad is former military, so it's always a sense of comfort for me to play military games. And the ability to throw grenades back at enemies and snipe heads? Oh, sign me the fuck up.
And I played MW and MW2 RELIGIOUSLY as a kid growing up. And I mean, I saw OG Gaz, Ghost, Roach, and the other characters die growing up. I saw that shit first-hand. So, I've been into the COD games since I was a kid. Like I grew up with it.
Now, I didn't play all the others, Black-Ops, Vanguard, etc., mainly because my interest in games typically falls into futuristic like Mass Effect and fantasy like Dragon Age, but my brother played them, and those were the times that when we hated each other, we bonded where I would watch as he would play.
The only downside of being a religious PlayStation gamer (because that's what I started on and I'll die on this fucking hill that if I choose any other platform it's going to be PC--but I don't have the money for a PC yet), IS I CAN'T PLAY GAMES ONLY MADE FOR XBOX. I also do not play multiplayer games. Can't fucking stand having to get online with folks in order to get characters. Give me my fucking character and a challenge full of CPU's and I'll be happy. But yeah...that's why most games stop me from playing is because they're multiplayer or online and I fucking hate both. I video game because it relieves my stress. I do not need more by having to worry about not being murked online.
But thank you for asking! I love talking about myself :)

Regarding the call of duty lore ask you received recently; most cod games post World at War (released in 2008) and that were developed by Treyarch (one of the main studios in charge of making the games) have three game modes; the main campaign, multiplayer, and Zombies.
The main campaigns are mostly self-contained stories with some continuity nods here and there, with the most heavily connected games in the Treyarch-developed cods being Black Ops 1 and 2; the multiplayer is almost always entirely devoid of lore, story or a connection to the campaign, existing only as an excuse to play with friends.
Zombies is an entirely different can of worms; what started as a fun little mode about seeing how long you and your friends could last against an endless horde of zombies, with little to no plot to speak of, quickly grew into the single most complicated story in the franchise, with every level eventually having new characters, adding more lore to the universe, and telling an overarching story across multiple games, all divorced from the main campaigns. Just for reference, the most in-depth Zombies timeline video, released in 2021 and explaining the plot and lore of the series from World at War to Black Ops 4 in chronological order, clocks in at just under 7 hours of length, with very little of that time spent on anything other than important plot and lore details and events.
I'm not sure it's quite on the same level of complexity as Kingdom Hearts lore, but it's damn close; the amount of effort they put into the worldbuilding and story of what, by all rights, should just be a context-less alternate gameplay mode to play with friends is nothing short of bizarre, but i'll be damned if it's not entertaining, especially since there's a lot of really good storytelling there.
Yooo, that definitely sounds crazy yeah lol

I really wanna get Bloodborne, Vampyre, and Diablo so badly. I tried to get into Destiny, but i dont really enjoy online multiplayers. It's too stressful. I have Dead by Daylight but I rage too easily with it ajsbsjsbsus
I enjoy open world games the most!

Hi!
Do you know/ play call of duty?
If not or you don’t want to know please stop readying now 🛑 Spoiler alert 🚨

I was so mad and sad how soap died! In Orginal you felt the death, the loses… now it’s a 3 min cutscene. I have the feeling the gaming scene become more and more cheep or at least lacking passion.
I do know Call of Duty, and I played it heavily from 2007 - 2016, basically from Call of Duty 4 to Black Ops 3, with Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops 2 being my favourite ones in terms of the multiplayer. I stopped playing after Black Ops 3 though, I didn't really like the direction that the series was taking.
Regarding the single player campaigns though, yeah I got upset at Soap's death. I haven't played the recent remastered versions, but I heard that the campaigns of the remastered Modern Warfare games had a retelling of the original story? I doubt I'll play them so I may as well spoil myself on what happens, lol.

CoD Notes: Infinite Warfare Finished
Plowed through the rest of this game last night, skipping all the side quests. I’m glad they’re there, but I didn’t need the extra help to clear the finale.
I really liked the mission on the asteroid near the sun. It was fun to have one mission of only robots to really lean into the anti-robot tools. The spinning skybox and sun-avoiding were a nice touch that reminded me of mass effect which is always a good thing. And the finale of this mission with a whole swarm of bots is pretty cool.
I also really enjoyed the final earth mission where I got to do some sniping and solo play, had a good feel to it. Got a lot of use out of my single shot Volk I brought.
And then of course, hijacking and then using the main Mars ship is pretty cool.
The actual final ground assault was actually less bombastic, but well enough. I was surprised that Ethan’s actual death was so much less tragic than his almost-death earlier.
Then I played a couple matches of multiplayer. I like having a different random goal every match. Is this the only infinity ward game to use the pick 10 system? I generally like pick 10, but I also like being able to overload attachments with no repercussions so I’m torn. Anyways, this multiplayer feels pretty good and I wouldn’t mind playing more here or there.
Then I did a round of zombies. I really will have to get the season pass for this game at some point because I love Zombies in Spaceland to death. I’m particularly curious about the Elvira DLC. And I do like Fate cards better than gobblegum if only slightly. I at least need to come back and play enough to get the pack a punch on this map which would be no hardship for me to have to play a few more times.
Overall, this game impressed me and is far better than its reputation. I’d love to see a return to this style of game, full stop. Just in terms of campaigns, I’d rank it above the original MW3 but below the original MW1. But this is the best package of the “dark age” by far when you add up the campaign, multiplayer, and zombies stacked against against Ghosts, AW, Black Ops 4, and maybe WW2 but I need to play it first. Black Ops 3 is a tough package to contend with though, it’s just that the campaign is its weakest offering. And all of these games from AW to BO4 are made worse by gameplay-affecting micro transactions (actually can’t remember if BO4 has that).
Oh, also I always liked Advanced Warfare’s killstreak customization so I’m happy to see it here!

I don't know if I have said this a lot here but I tend not to play a lot games on my phone as I am really not all that big into the mobile game stuff as, in my opinion, 98% of mobile games are either terrible or are littered with constant, annoying ads that one is forced to watch a million of. Anyway, out of curiosity, I decided to give Call Of Duty Mobile a try and here are my thoughts on this one.
Graphics: for a mobile game, the game doesn't actually look all that bad. Yeah, it's one of those mobile games that boasts about having console quality graphics and I'd say the graphics are close to like PS3/Xbox 360 era which is pretty decent for a mobile game to have.
Controls: I'd say that the controls are fine enough at best. There's the option for simple controls and advanced controls. They have a virtual thumb stick on the left side of the screen and on the right is the ADS, fire weapon, jump and reload buttons. The only difference between simple and advanced is that advanced gives you a button to fire your weapon whereas simple lets you aim at an enemy and the weapon just fires at the enemy you are aimed at. The middle of the screen from left to right is your scorestreaks, switch weapons and grenade. Also, the top right of the screen is where your like operator power weapon is. It's not a terrible control layout but it can lead to some issues I have found. This games causes my phone to warm up and that causes my finger to stick sometimes and sometimes makes screen taps not register. The point is that when I tried playing CoD Mobile with a controller is was SO much BETTER, it's like a night and day difference. I used a PS4 controller. R2 & L2 are ADS and fire weapon, R1 & L1 are grenades, X is jump, square is reload, triangle is switch weapons and the D Pad are the scorestreaks and that makes playing the game a thousand times more comfortable to play, so much so that I need to keep playing it this way.
Maps: It's a pretty decent selection of maps here but the problem is a lack of creativity because all of one map is actually original and the rest are from past CoD games. I don't remember the names of all of the maps but they are from CoD 4, MW2 (2009), MW3 (2011), Black Ops, Black Ops II, and Modern Warfare 2019 and I am pretty sure that is it. The maps are small to medium size and that works here with matches being 5V5.
Music: The music only exists in the main menus and is pretty awful if you ask me. I really love rock and metal music and this game uses this generic rock music that just isn't very good at all and doesn't make me think of CoD at all either. If they're so obsessed with past CoD games in this one, why not use past CoD game music for this one? What's worse is that when you get into a match, there isn't any music at all and that makes the match feel kind of lifeless to me.
Weapons: The weapons all look pretty good. I do find it weird how a lot of the weapons do not have their proper names anymore. I recently unlocked the SCAR but it has a completely different name and that seems weird to me. Did CoD like lose the rights to actual names to these weapons that they use the designs and just name them something else? They all sound pretty good too but they sound better in the PC & console CoD games.
Modes: I'm sure it's obvious but, this game doesn't have any kind of single player campaign and I feel like that's expected. Multiplayer has a lot of different modes like TDM, Free For All, Kill Confirmed and so on. There's also the Battle Royale and I have no idea how that is because I've not tried it because I don't like Battle Royale games. The last thing it has is zombies which I also have yet to try. I am not a fan of CoD zombies but I will probably give it a go at some point just to say that I did.
Overall, I think that CoD Mobile is a pretty decent little phone game. The thing is that I'd really only recommend this to people who are obsessed with CoD and people who can only play games on their phone because I'd definitely highly recommend a controller for playing this game and that's not something I'd recommend to someone who plays mobile games casually as a controller that connects to ones phone isn't cheap.

The World Is Not Enough (PS)
Original Release: 2000
Developer: Black Ops
Publisher: Electronic Arts
Platform: PlayStation
Tumblr media
While Eurocom made the N64 version of The World Is Not Enough, Black Ops – the developers of Tomorrow Never Dies – still made the PlayStation version. From playing the games, it doesn’t seem like there was any cross development or sharing resources, both games were developed completely independnatly.
While TWINE on PlayStation is a first person shooter, it still feels a lot like Tomorrow Never Dies. The HUD (which I still can’t see properly) and controls from the previous game are still here, with the developers still not taking advantage of the PlayStation’s analogue sticks. I could create an dual stick FPS-like setup, but without the ability to look up and down (without manual aiming).
Tumblr media
The game stars off in the bank but the layout is very different. You go up a lift and then down an oddly long corridor with a lot of cameras – these are a massive pain to shoot due to the game’s shoddy controls and I just gave up and accepted the extra guards. One thing also evident is that the levels in this games are small “rooms” with short loading screens when going through doors, which make the levels feel disjoined.
After this, you get some long clips from the film, as it skips through the attack on MI6 headquarters and we go and chase the assassin down some short, narrow London streets. At the end of this level, the game automatically selects the grapple watch to fire at the hot air balloon. This watch isn’t used to help level design, but instead just triggers cutscenes.
Tumblr media
Next up is the game’s skiing level which is just really odd. You have full control of Bond’s movement, but his acceleration has been altered. You awkwardly shoot some enemies and start going own a slope – for around 4 seconds. Due to the game being made of lots of tiny areas, you need to go through a pipe and load the next area, so you get the awkward controls and none of the fun of actually going downhill for a decent amount of time.
Tumblr media
Next up is a level that the N64 game skipped, as Bond infiltrate’s Zukovsky’s laughably small casino. This is both the best and worst level. There’s only a few room and your mission is to win money at blackjack, which is more enjoyable than the actual game. I did nearly have to restart this mission due to an NPC blocking a patch.
You also have to use Bond’s credit card lockpick to open a door, which is neat the first time but is used far too much and the animations for it are far too long.
Tumblr media
Next up is this game’s stealth level. This takes place entirely inside Elektra’s house, as you “stealth” by running and punching guards. There are a few items you can turn on to distract them. The level design for this mission is just bizarre, as the house doesn’t feel like a house due to its nonsensical layout and completely lacking a front door.
You skip from here right to infiltrating Renard’s men, who are trying to steal a nuke. This level feels really strange as you have to sneak past guards (having to punch some out) as you sneak into an area where you were invited into.
Tumblr media
Another mission that wasn’t in the N64 game (apart from a multiplayer level) is Elektra’s pipeline, as you try to reach a bomb. You have to shut off the oil and rescue hostages to reach another part of the facility, then protect Christmas Jones as she fixes an oil pipeline maintenance vehicle.
The “City of Walkways” is a single level in this game, and feels far less dynamic, with the helicopter fight being extremely dull and then it’s onto another chase level, which coincidentally involves a bomb being placed in a train station (this time in Istanbul instead of London).
Tumblr media
After Bond gets captured, you get to see a lovey, large room with big windows transform into a tiny room in a dungeon. The film footage and game design don’t match in any way whatsoever and I don’t know why they included the torture chair – they could have omitted it and it would have seem like Bond had moved to the next room instead.
You need to go back and forth then fight a few bosses. The first requires you to unload a few rounds from your assault rifle, the second is immune to all of your weapons due to “special armour” (he’s wearing a suit) and you’re told that you need to throw his explosives back at him. Headshots don’t do anything and the game gives you a grenade launcher, which also does nothing. You can only kill him by throwing his own pipe bombs. It’s just odd.
Tumblr media
The final mission is on the submarine as you chase Renard. You have to navigate a really strange room filled with toxic barrels. When you reach Renard, you have a boss fight – but not against him, but against a reactor instead. There’s no flooding, and then you run back through the level.
The ending to the level isn’t locked away this time, however there is a secret video if you complete the game on the highest difficulty – which is just the sex scene from the end of the film. There are a few cheats to unlock, but there’s no multiplayer.
It’s amazing just how different these two games are, with the N64 version of the game being a much better game all around. The PlayStation version is stiff and disjointed.
