'yourself in your favourite show's style'

So, I don't know if mha is technically my favourite show, (fighting it out with a couple of other fandoms rn-) but I prefer the light novels of ascendance of a bookworm to the anime, and while I like bsd, I just... I'm still not sure I actually like the art style? I mean, I like the anime and I can tell how good at drawing the mangaka is, but out of my top 3 favourite shows, mha definitely has my favourite art style. (I'm talking about the manga btw, the anime is pretty cool art wise, but anime isn't something I go to, to admire the pictures) It has definitely influenced my own drawing a lot, and I just... I like it.

Whatever. I'm finishing these when I have the time. I guess it's not really a 30 day art challenge anymore, but eh. It's fun so I don't care.

I don't think I've ever really had a following for OC's but that being said, if anyone wants to send prompts or questions they would be very welcome. I have MISSED follower participation lmao, twitter does not hit the same.

I'm sure there are also so many people that are like 'who tf is this', I used to do tons of bnha art, I did a 30 day fanart challenge like a maniac, and then carried on from there drawing a metric fuckton of maizawa. I'll very likely not draw bnha again- someone asked if I was still caught up, but alas I stopped reading roughly when hawks was introduced. I *might* draw a rare maizawa but yeah feel free to jump ship haha.

10. How do you decide what to write?

This is a good one that I don't really know how to answer. My brain is constantly spitting out ideas and picking which ones will be fun or viable is not easy. I try to pick stuff I'm excited about, as well as stuff that I feel like I can do in a way that hasn't been done yet (or often, since the fic-writing world is a very big world). I want to write something fun and I want to challenge myself to learn something new and create something exciting, so if an idea meets all three of those very broad and serious criteria, it usually hits the WIP list.

15. What’s your favorite AU that you’ve written?

This is a really hard question for me since I've written so many AUs, so I think I'll pick one from each of my fandoms. For the Tolkienverse, Kairos is my favorite, but I'm ultimately proudest of seeking a friend because of how much work went into destroying the second half of the first draft and writing everything from Chapter 21 on as the story was being posted. As for BNHA, I feel like I did the best work on Love Like Ghosts as far as AU construction goes.

30. Have you ever written something that was out of your comfort zone? If so, what was it, and how did it affect your approach to writing fic thereafter?

I think the thing that was most out of my comfort zone at the time was soon you'll get better, which was the collection of whump prompts I did -- one for every day in February 2022, plus two extras. It definitely expanded my viewpoint for what I could do with AUs and showed me that I could fit Barduil into basically any genre I wanted to. It also gave me a chance to write some darker stuff (see Chapters 2, 4, 13, 17, 18, and 23). It really helped me gain confidence, and the responses I got for some of the more out-there fics made me more comfortable with the thought of posting the fic that came to be known as Kairos. So it did a lot of good for me!

35. What aspects of your writing are completely unlike your real life?

Almost all of it, honestly, since I'm not a parent, a guy, or a high school teacher with superpowers and a tragic backstory. It would probably be faster to list the things my writing does have in common with my life than the stuff it doesn't.
