It’s so hard for me to make it to protests these days as they tend to be super-inaccessible, but this pic of my and my OH protesting with mates came across my dash today.

Today is Martin Luther King day.
I bring this up because his civil rights protest movement in America inspired John Hume and his own civil rights movement in the north of Ireland, enabling my own ilk to start standing up to British oppression again.
But the British political establishment don’t want you to know that. Their treatment of my ilk between 1921 and 1969 (and afterwards leading to 1998) is of their many dirty little secrets.
Some of their useful idiots on this site (royalists, the cult of Brexit, and so on) even deny that it ever happened.

absolutely perfect that the protest bill passed a year ago or so but actual leftist marches are the only ones claimed to be disruptive and actual nazis can make an even bigger display and not get shit for it
this is the same fucking country that can have pedestrians beat the shit out of climate change protestors and the police just fucking STAND THERE
and have a weird fucking counter protest group telling them to shut the fuck up as if it's the greatest use of their time
this is the same fucking country that dismantled a quiet vigil that was about a woman brutally murdered by a monstrous police officer and claimed it was an unlawful gathering whilst fuck all was done about anti lockdown protestors and retroactively about 17 fucking Christmas parties the government were having
I am literally homicidal just having to live in this fucking country

One recent display of utter brainrot I’ve been seeing is the belief (mostly from conservatives and other idiots) that one is foolish or “cringe” simply for protesting against something.
“How DARE you care about anything.”
Keep that shit in 2016! Starting yesterday!
Such idiots also seem to think that if said protests don’t lead immediately to direct and/or immediate success that it’s somehow a failure.
Demonstrating in turn a complete ignorance of the purpose of protest and how society works.
So kindly get in the bin with that shite.
Yes, some protests are often misdirected but that’s not an argument.

All these anti-immigrant protests in the UK are getting me worried. I’m seriously scared to walk around at night knowing that people know my nationality.
What is happening ?!?!
