Retiring from Miraculous

Hello everyone, so if you all saw my recent post or if you saw my post on my main blog, I announced that I will be officially retiring from the Miraculous fandom as well as the show for good.

I'm really sorry to those who followed me and only liked me for Miraculous content, but after hearing about how the recent episodes of Miraculous have been (*coughDerisioncough*), I don't see the show improving or getting better anytime soon nor do I see myself enjoying it the more it continues. Especially with how the recent season has been nothing but: Multiple retcons, terrible character development, scenes cut from the final version for the most stupidest reasons ever and to make the show have bigger plot holes than ever, inconsistent writing, and lackluster plots, I really don't see myself following through with it anymore.

However,

I won't be officially retiring at the moment!

Yep, even though I do plan on retiring from Miraculous, I won't do it for a long time for these 5 reasons:

I wanna rewatch the entire series until I start on S5 since I'm waiting for the whole season to drop at once. I mainly wanna see what still holds up and what doesn't after these 8 and a half years the show has run for. (And I think we can all agree which ones didn't age the best)

I mainly wanna watch S5 to see if I can use it as a rewrite for some of my AUs; mainly The Lost Miraculous. I know this one might be tricky to do since from what I heard, S5 did retcon a lot of characters and plots, so I'm not entirely sure if I can rewrite the whole season, but I do plan to add a few new elements to my rewrite if I ever do.

Speaking of AUs, that's another reason why I won't retire immediately from the show: I'm still hoping to use it as a source of inspiration for my AUs as I still wish to write them. Mainly The Queen Bee and the Vesperia, The Lost Miraculous, The Undercover Tales of Rena Furtive and Invisible Hornet, The Bee Sisters Duo!, Bug and Wasp Game, A Fox and Her Club, and more!

I'm incredibly excited for the Awakening movie coming out this July, and I do hope that it will at least be one last hope for the show to get better. If not, then I guess we can call that one the real canon while ignoring the show itself, LOL.

I still wanna post some of my views on Chloe and Zoe themselves.

All in all, while I won't necessarily retire from the show permanently (as of now), I will be saying goodbye to it as time goes by because it's about time I move on and start looking through other shows that have similar Magical Girl themes.

Speaking of which, I made a poll on my main blog asking people what should be the next Magical Girl show I should try while I wait to end my time with Miraculous, and when I cut ties with it. If you wish to vote, please click right here.

okokok. with all the beloved bird!fitz asks coming in i feel that it is high time for me to ask something that's been on my mind for a while. hopefully i haven't asked you this before - ik i've written it out in the ask box and deleted it multiple times, so my memory's a bit fuzzy. anyway.

so. wings au!fitz is part bird. the beginning of his brain starting to rewire to be more like a bird was probably when he first got his wings. for the context of this ask, i've imagined the first moment of him having fully formed wings - not just little bones poking out his back or anything - being the moment where he "hatched". (correct me if i'm wrong there.) when a lot of types of birds hatch - including golden eagles, and owls - they imprint. they take a look at the very first thing they see, from what i understand, and go "THAT'S MY MOM THAT'S WHAT I AM THAT'S MY MOM MOM MOM MOMMMM SPEND TIME WITH ME" even when that very first thing they see isn't their mom. for example, one study found that ducks will imprint on inanimate objects if that's the very first thing they see. now all of that is just me skim-searching google months ago, so i could be wrong about how imprinting works. and that's fine!

but what i really wanna know is: have the bird elves (belves?) imprinted on anything or anyone? how would that work, with the way that their elf brains like to fight their bird brains? (ex: are we gonna see fitz repeatedly trying and failing to call, like, a dandelion or something, his mom because he knows that's not della but his bird brain keeps going "THAT'S MY MOM I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE HER GO GIVE HER LOVES GO GO GO"?)

Bird Fitz truly is beloved you're so right. Also you have not asked this before! You probably would've had an answer too your question if you'd asked it before, one I am now going to give you!!! ...under a cut because many words :)

Okay so if we go with when his wings were first fully formed, that'd put it right in-between that scene where they all glide off the big monster thing they accidentally hitched a ride on and the scene where he and Sophie have that heart to heart at the beginning. That's not 100% how I was thinking of it, but it also a fair assessment and reasonable! In my head their minds were rewiring themselves as the wings were growing, so it was a process occurring simultaneously. In which case that would put it probably about when Sophie first saw her forming wings and woke everyone up, because after that was when they all noticed how being in cramped quarters underground was really affecting them.

To answer your question, I didn't have bird imprinting in mind when writing the wings au, so you'll find no current hints towards it. I was focusing more on the wings than anything, for obvious reasons, but! I am also skim searching google rn to look more at imprinting, at Google is telling me that part of imprinting for eagles is learning to recognize what species they are and what they identify as eagles, which would work really well with how I've been writing Fitz honestly. You may have noticed in a recent chapter (idk which one there's so many dude. like. there's a lot of words) Fitz very plainly refers to them all as still elves, so I could and also probably will now work some imprinting brain mechanics into that.

Also, in both instances we identified for Fitz, the thing/person he imprinted on would probably be Sophie. First waking up, she's central to the room so he'd probably look at her first, and after that glide if it was something that happened in the first few hours, Sophie was the person he was talking to most in that time frame. I don't know if duration of time spent with the thing being imprinted on is important, but this is my au so my rules.

For how it works, I'd think that to mesh with the elf brain mechanics of already knowing what things are that their brains would need more time and seek out things it previously recognized as similar to it. They're not new to the world, they're just perceiving things slightly to the left now. They know that an inanimate object isn't what they are and that it's not like them. They already have a sense of things. So I think imprinting would take more repeated or prolonged exposure to the thing during the designated time period, and that the thing would have to be something they already kinda recognize as similar to themselves. Hence: Sophie.

But that's just Fitz; there are other bird boys! Here's the thing. If we go with the imprinting first starting when they wake up before running away that would have like almost all of them imprinting on Sophie. Because she was central and then started talking so she would've caught their attention! Currently imagining a gaggle of bird boys just trailing after her...

As for the others...I think Dex and Keefe (as an honorary bird boy he can have some imprinting, as a treat) would've imprinted on each other. Keefe is right there to support Dex through his issues with his wings when they start falling apart and growing wrong, so I think that would be enough for the two to be attached, which would be an interesting dynamic.

Maruca I'm less certain of because we don't really see as much of what she first does during that period. She's mentioned talking with Wylie and then with the whole group, so anyone could be her person in this case. My guess is either Wylie or Marella, they're the two people she would've interacted with the most during that time.

To summarize: I haven't written anything about imprinting into the au so far, but I think that if the bird boys did imprint it would all be on each other, ending up as a confusing more intense attachment to the person that they don't quite understand. But even though I haven't currently written it, it does work well with some things, so I may add it! Hopefully that answers your question but also I love talking about the wings au so feel free to ask more!

I like to imagine Charlotte just showed up in the Pizzaplex one day to silently keep watch of the place for danger. When she got to the Daycare, Sun saw her and was like, "that's... strange! We never detected the door or slide. No guest profile either..." then disregarded all of that because goodness, the child is crying! Perpetually, but he doesn't know that. He sends an alert to a guard to help the lost girl get back to her parents

It is written off as a bug, as there is no child. This sends Sun into a very confused crisis of repeatedly glancing back at this unknown girl that no one else acknowledges throughout the day, because glitches do happen, and he has no idea if this quiet child is even real or not. It would be easier to ignore if the child had left after the guard's arrival, but she just lingers until the Daycare closes. Again, no door detection. Just gone. She doesn't show up the next day

A week later, Moon spots the same girl lingering around the atrium past closing and Sun's internally like, "THAT'S WEIRD, RIGHT??"

Oh she also ADORES DJMM btw. Post uhhh re-possession, please imagine her puppet hands softly whacking together in an attempt to clap for DJMM after a song. Please also imagine that I have any idea how this AU even functions, I'll figure it out

Why,why, WHY I'm I actually making this a thing?!

This is the new design for mosquito Sun. In this au, he lives in the swamp with his brother, Moon. The duo love to terrorize the local bug population, as they are the insect's equivalent of vampires. Anything that is too big for them to scare, they bother the hell out of. One day, a new visitor comes into their domain. Fairy y/n. This peeks the interest of both of the boys. However, they didn't bother y/n the way they bother others. Sun and Moon do constantly bug them. But checking on them, watching them, not killing them...could they be...trying to make friends? (Y/n is terrified, thinking they're gonna get eaten)

"Who is a cutie?! You are! Yes you are!" (Y/n) cooed as she pinched Ness' cheeks. The now 2-year-old boy laughed and grabbed both of her hands.

"Hmmmm!" Ness exclaimed as he nuzzled them.

'He is the most adorable, little baby! I am shedding tears!' (Y/n) thought, removing her hands from his face and hugging him tightly.

"I think (Y/n) won't mind watching Ness for the day, Noa-san." Anri laughed a little as the French man nodded his head.

"Looks like it." The man answered, secretly taking a picture of the two.

'I sometimes don't know if he is a bigger simp or if she is.' Ego thought before returning to his previous work.

"(Y/n)... why are you kissing Ness' cheeks?" Aryu asked as he glared at the magenta-eyed boy, who was sending him and Rin a victorious smirk. What had happened now? Well, after the boys found out about Ness' condition and saw the way he was clinging onto (Y/n)... a jealous hell broke loose. The first people to show it were Aryu and Rin. Although the two would like to pretend they were rational, they weren't, and instead of practicing properly they decided it was a smart thing to scare the toddler by shooting the football a little too close to him. This of course caused the boy to start crying and pissing (Y/n) off.

"You two are completely heartless! Scaring a baby like this!" The girl scolded the two as she held Ness in her arms.

"It's just Ness, (Y/n). Calm down, by tomorrow he will forget about it." As soon as Rin said that, he regretted it when he saw the glare she was sending him.

"Never mind! We are sorry, Ness!" The younger Itoshi gulped as Aryu rolled his eyes, but apologized as well.

"(Y/n)!" Ness yelled as he hugged the girl's leg, hiding from Isagi and Kurona's glares. The girl looked away from her papers and down at Ness, raising her eyebrow.

"What is it?"

"Hug!" The boy exclaimed with a smile, causing (Y/n) to let out a squeal and hugged the toddler.

"You are so adorable!"

Isagi and Kurona looked at the two in shock as Ness poked his tongue out, hugging (Y/n) tightly around her neck.

"That little bastard..."

"I hate him so much. When are they leaving?" The duo wondered, looking at each other. While the two boys were plotting a kidnapping, (Y/n) was just cooing at Ness, who was enjoying every second of it.

"No." (Y/n) said as she pushed Ness behind herself, the boy just smiling and holding tightly onto the girl's pants.

"But-"

"No Kaiser, you are not playing football with him." The German pouted and walked closer to (Y/n), causing Ness' alarm bells to ring.

"Come on, (Y/n)~ I won't play rough with him, you know me!" Kaiser said as he swung an arm around her shoulders. (Y/n) glared at him and tried to pull his arm away.

"Yeah, I know you that's why I am dying you the chance. Look Kaiser, Ness is a toddler now and can't play like he used to. Just leave him alone." (Y/n) said as Kaiser moved a little closer, trying to speak up again he was cut off by Ness. More accurately by Ness kicking him in the leg, causing Kaiser to let go of (Y/n) and grab on his bruised leg.

The girl looked at Kaiser in concern as he groaned and Ness poked his tongue out.

"Are you alright?"

"No! That little bug kicked me!" The blonde said, pointing at the magenta-eyed toddler.

"Ness?" (Y/n) asked looking down at the boy, but before she could scold him, Ness showed her his puppy dog eyes, causing (Y/n) glare to melt.

"Awww~ did the mean, old Kaiser scare you? Come here, it's alright~" (Y/n) cooed and picked Ness up, giving him a few kissed on the forehead as the boy giggled.

"It's alright, nobody is mad at you!" Kasier watched her behavior in disbelief and anger. The anger was more directed at the way Ness had the girl wrapped around his finger.

"Am I a nobody now? I am mad at him!"

Ness started crying at the sudden yells and hugged (Y/n) around her neck.

"Kaiser, you are scaring him again!" The blonde flinched at the glare she was sending him.

'I can't be losing against a toddler?!'

Chigiri knocked on (Y/n)'s bedroom door and waited for the girl to open it, which didn't take longer than a minute.

"Chigiri, what did you need?" (Y/n) asked as the redhead showed her his haircomb.

"Can you braid my hair tonight?" Chigiri asked with a small smile. (Y/n) was about to say 'yes', but was interrupted by Ness.

"(Y/n)~ sweepy..." The two looked down at the magenta-eyed boy, who was yawning and stretching his arms out.

"Ness? What is he doing here?" Chigiri asked, growing a little annoyed that he was in (Y/n)'s room. The girl hummed and picked Ness up.

"He didn't want to sleep in his own room tonight." The girl explained as the boy laid his head on her shoulder.

"And you just let him into your room?! Just like that?!" Chigiri asked with wide eyes, not believing a toddler-sized Ness was outdoing him.

"Yeah? Sorry Chigiri, I need to put Ness to sleep, maybe you can ask Aryu for help tonight."

"I... fine..." Chigiri grumbled, both annoyed and jealous of the situation. They both said their goodnights and just as (Y/n) was about to close the door, Chigiri saw Ness poke his tongue out and smirk at him. Dumbfounded Chigiri looked at the closed door and let at an annoyed groan.

"Stupid German and his stupid ways... I will kick his ass once he is back to normal."

I swear, everyone audibly groans whenever they see you two together. They just know that it's gonna be pretty unbearable when you're both involved.

Horror is pretty big, so you look like a leaf next to him.

But the difference is, is that Horror is like a cuddly bear towards you, and you're like a menace to society.

After awhile, Horror will probably start to think that you're a married couple. You're cleaning for him, cooking for him (which he helps you out with), hell, you do SO many things for him. (He's just confused with what your relationship is 😭)

He likes how deranged you are. Makes him at ease knowing that you won't freak out when he brings a dead human home.

He keeps saying that you're like his sun. (MY HEART)

Ink:

You're both short asf. So when he makes a comment about you being short, you make one right back.

You're both just stuck in a never ending insult game about your heights. 💀

Doesn't get why you're always cleaning. He doesn't see the point if it's gonna get dirty again anyways.

The only thing he probably likes about you is how hyper you are. (You're matching energies.)

i found a part of reborn au that's just like "here's how i justify team 7 still existing"

Minato was having a conundrum.

He had the files of twelve of the current academy students lined up in front of him. These were the twelve their teachers had deemed reasonably likely to graduate; the rest would be given their fair shot at graduation, but were likely to need further training. He’d already sorted the bottom of the class into teams he thought were reasonable.

Of the top twelve, some could still fail. It was his job for the day to finalize their proposed genin teams, with the goal of maximizing their success for graduation and also the beginning of their genin careers. The Academy liked to lie to its students and pretend the teams were all composed to be evenly matched, but this was only partially true. It would be detrimental to both the students’ development and Konoha’s interests if an unworthy candidate graduated simply because they were put on a team with more all-around skilled classmates, or if an otherwise promising student was barred from graduating because their teammates bungled their Jounin’s test.

At the same time, Minato understood better than anyone how this sort of system stacked the deck in favor of clan-born students. If you stuck all the best students together, then you ended up with a lot of teams of all clan kids who’d had access to more training opportunities than students without large shinobi families to rely on.

This year was especially annoying to balance, in that it had five clan heirs graduating, plus the second children of two clan heads and Minato’s own son. This meant the top portion of the class was all especially heavy-hitters in terms of current skills.

He wanted to spread these eight students out with the other, more “normal” kids, but… well, he couldn’t split up the latest iteration of Ino-Shika-Cho, and his analysis team had made an incredibly good case for a Hyuuga-Aburame-Inuzuka tracking team.

Hyuu-Abu-Inu? Abu-Inu-Hyuu? Excellent Tracking Combo Team: All-seeing Bug Dog?

He pondered this title for a few moments. Well, it was a work in progress.

So that was two teams that were basically guaranteed to pass, and he now had to arrange another two teams. This is where things got tricky.

The analysis team had identified that Naruto and Sasuke had the potential to make an incredibly effective combat duo. Minato agreed with this. He also understood that they… ah, didn’t really get along, and suggested the third member be someone who could balance them out. His analysis team had suggested Haruno Sakura.

He stared down at her class photo, right at the center of his desk. He’d talked to Sakura maybe twice. She was the only student without at least one Jounin parent to make it into the top twelve. Between her near-perfect written scores, excellent classroom behavior, high chakra proficiency, and acceptable scores in physical tests, she probably would be a stand-out in a less competitive year. Compared to other students in this year, however, she wasn’t really anything to write home about. Minato only recognized her because Naruto happened to have a giant crush on her.

Through Naruto’s mooning, he also knew she had her own crush on Sasuke. He knew more about the intricacies of this little preteen love triangle than he wanted to, really. It was very dramatic.

Maybe Sakura would be a good balance. Or maybe her presence would make the team one highly flammable tinderbox. His analysis team promised the former, but they seemed inexperienced with the nature of insane pre-teen crushes.

Minato leaned back in his chair and swiveled it around to stare out the window.

They were twelve years old. Maybe they’d just get over their wild feelings.

Then again, he’d never gotten over his first crush…

But wasn’t it important for young shinobi to work with different kinds of people despite their previous feelings about them? Or was this just him trying to justify favoritism towards Naruto, wanting him to be friends with Sasuke?

He turned back to his desk, to see if he could figure out another way to arrange the teams.

Actually, the three remaining students would make an excellent infiltration team. It would be stupid to break them up.

He went back to pondering a team title for the Hyuuga-Aburame-Inuzuka team.

Minato finished his speech with, “...so you see, choosing the right sensei for a team is imperative, and you’re the only man for the job.”

He smiled nervously at Kakashi, who looked like he’d aged about ten years over the course of the last five minutes.

Kakashi’s shoulders slumped. He looked up at Minato from the file on his new team with incredibly tired eyes.

“Why would you do this to me?” Kakashi asked.

“Er, well,” Minato tried again.

He’d been much more assertive with the other jounin sensei. But the other jounin sensei weren’t his personal students he was maybe possibly screwing over in a very personal way.

“Shouldn’t Naruto be exposed to other people?” Kakashi asked. “I heard you gave Asuma a team. Wouldn’t he be a better fit?”

Asuma was Minato’s top pick for Naruto’s jounin sensei, actually. Asuma had wind chakra and also intimately understood what being the son of a Hokage was like, and he was also someone Naruto hadn’t grown up with. Minato was originally going to hand Kakashi the tracking team.

Unfortunately, Team 7 would eat Asuma alive. Also…

“It’s not about just Naruto,” Minato said. “I need someone who can handle the whole team.”

It would undoubtedly be weird for Naruto to have his former babysitter as a sensei, but that type of conditional role swapping was something clan kids navigated every day. Importantly, Kakashi was someone Naruto would trust not to give him special treatment for being the Hokage’s kid. Kakashi was also a rare Jounin who could help Sasuke with lightning jutsu, which he wouldn’t necessarily be able to get from his clan.

“And Sakura is a wildcard,” Minato continued his pitch. “She’s been identified as a genjutsu-type, but her chakra control could lead her to many different specialties, and she has no familial connections to help her explore them. A jack-of-all-trades like you is an ideal teacher for her.”

Kakashi’s eyes drifted back down to the file in his hands.

“Isn’t she that girl Naruto likes?” he asked.

“Well,” Minato said levelly. “Naruto does like her, but you shouldn’t think of your new student that way.”

“Doesn’t Naruto keep fighting Sasuke over her?” Kakashi asked, ignoring this statement. “Sensei, you’ve somehow made something worse than Team 4.”

Trolls - Accidental Knight Branch AU

My hyper fixation continues and for some reason I got this idea while watching a Bug's Life. And i"m thinking of linking this to my Keith and Branch Brother hood Au (link to that post if interested - https://empressgeekt.tumblr.com/post/744629825487126528/trolls-branch-and-keith-brothers-au). I think I'm going to re-name it A Field of Forget-Me-knots Au. If they end up linked that is.

The Au would start before the first movie. Branch is still grey and on his own, with the exception of his little stalker. Keith had been following him for the past year, and branch had taken a reluctant liking to the kid. Pretty much becoming a big/little brother duo that no one in the village gets. Keith's habit of story telling, is encouraged by Branch, who buys the kid notebooks to put his idea on paper. During the summer evenings, Branch would help edit his grammar and spelling, while working on a latest trap as Keith read his latest chapters. The trolling's current story fixation, being one about a trolling knight who protects his village and wears a suit of armor in the brightest green leaves. Branch askes Keith where he found the inspiration for it, and Keith explains that it came to him when he was helping Branch with the alarm systems and predator preventions he made for the village. Branch is flattered when he learn that the kid thinks of him as a hero, but doesn't admit it.

When Keith's birthday rolls around. In addition to another note book, and some custom made drawing pencils, Branch decides to bring Keith's character to life. With all the mechanical know how, he learned from making traps and weapons, (and sewing skills thanks to Grandma), the grey troll can pretty easily fashion together a suit that is both functional and how Keith described it. With room for all the Gadgets that Keith gave his character. Which on the weapons side Branch kind of cheats due to him already having multiple back up bows and spears. He just paints those to match the suit. Keith is ecstatic to see Branch in the suit, and insists on Branch wearing it while they check the traps that day. Branch allows it, partially because it makes the kid happy, and partially because he wants to show off his gadget re-creations. Keith even calls Branch, "Forest Guardian" all through the walk. At some point, Branch falls into a flower patch, and pollen gets all over his hair making it turn into a maroon color.

Their on the last of their safety checks, this one just outside of the village borders, when suddenly the alarm strings go taunt and screaming is heard in the direction of the village. Branch tells Keith to run back to the bunker using their escape tunnels, and keith says that, "Forest Guardian is needed". Branch rushes off, completely forgetting that he's in a ridiculous looking suit, finding a rabid wolf charging through the middle of the village. Most the pods are too high for the predator to reach, but the trolls on the ground are done for...Branch grabs hold of the spear tied to his back.

Poppy is on the ground, trying to get as many trolls away from the wolf, but she's at a lost of what to really do. A predator like this had never gotten this close to the village, so she's scrambling. All she knows is that everyone is screaming and running, their afternoon song is ruined, then suddenly out of nowhere the wolf is taken down. Poppy looks up, and finds a troll with maroon colored hair, clad in armor of the brightest green, their hands gripping a spear that was impaled in to the base of the wolf's skull, killing it. In the corner of her eye, she sees one of the trollings, Keith, Call out "It's Forest Guardian!"

Branch is very uncomfortable with all the people suddenly staring at him, once the wolf is down. Then he hears Keith call out, and suddenly remembers he's in the costume. They don't know who he is. Still he doesn't like being the object of all there attention. Branch rushed back into the woods before Poppy has the chance to thank him.

Keith meets Branch back at the bunker. Branch immediately takes off the suit, and confronts Keith as to why he was in the village and not safe in the bunker. Keith said he wanted to see Forest Guardian in action. Branch retorts he's not Forest Guardian. Keith said he could be, and gets upset, because he based a the character off of branch, but the grey troll doesn't want to be a hero. Branch said he wasn't a hero. Keith says that he is, and recounts all he does for the villages protection and no one sees it! And they are all mean to branch. It makes the trolling frustrated, and this way they can be nicer to branch without Branch having to deal with them invading his personal privacy.

Eventually Branch gives in, after all the armor stopped him from getting hurt by the wolf, and it would make it easier to carry needed essentials. So when ever he goes after predators that get too close to the village he wears the suit. Keith promises to be Branch's man on the inside and reports to the grey troll on all the rumors that were spread about them. They have a good laugh over it.

Meanwhile, the village is set on fire with news of their new hero. People are gossiping and word of the "Forest Guardian" is spreading fast. And one troll in particular has become engulfed by the flames. Poppy has become obessed with the Forest Guardian. She wants to thank him, know who he is, and become his best friend. No she is totally not fangirling over him, like the twins tease. The snackpack is equally enthralled with the new village hero. Cooper, Biggie, And GD are impressed with how cool he looked, The twins have been making fan wear based on eye witnesses on the armor, Fuzzbert and DJ Suki want to know who his gear works, and Smidge wants to know where he learned how to take down a wolf. They are all willing to help Poppy find the Guardian. Creek is grateful for the new hero, but he is a little apprehensive about Poppy wanting to find him. After all he could be dangerous, and what kind of troll would use violence before friendship.

Nothing could stop Poppy's hunt. She askes everyone in the village what they know about the Forest Guardian. She sadly doesn't get much information. Until she asks Keith. The little trolling tells her all about how the Guardian lives out side of the village in the forest, and that he's been defending the village from predators for years, the wolf had been a rare instance when they snuck passed his defenses.

Poppy: Keith how do you know about this?

Keith: I see him. I go into the woods sometimes, he's always looking out for us.

Poppy: And no one knows? No one's thanked him!

Keith: He's shy and a little different. He doesn't think the village will accept him.

Poppy: He's our hero, we'd always accept him

Keith: he doesn't think so. He's seen how you treat other people who aren't like you.

Poppy: We aren't mean.

Keith: not actively.

Poppy: Look Keith Sweetie, you think you can get me meeting with him?

Keith agrees and leads poppy out into the woods. And calls out to the "Guardian". Branch and the trolling had come to an agreement that if he was refered to Guardian or Forest, then someone was with th trolling and Branch needed to play the part. Branch just didn't think Keith would bring the princess of all trolls. Poppy excitedly begins to ramble, until Branch clears his throat. In a deeper voice he sends Keith home, and asks what Poppy wants.

Poppy: We'll first to say thank you

Branch: I don't do this for thanks your highness

Poppy: Well, we're going to give it to you now that we know about you! Especially since you've been protecting all of us for so long.

Branch: How do you know about that?

Poppy: Keith told me.

Branch: Of course.

Poppy: Now, to show you how grateful the village is for all your work, we're throwing a party for you and officially inviting you-

Branch: Pass.

Poppy: WHat?

Branch: Apologizes for my brashness Princess, but I do not enjoy big loud parties.

Poppy: Why not?

Branch: You're larger celebrations attract a lot of attention from Predators your highness. Any part you through means a lot of work and stress for me. After years of this, I've lost my taste for such gatherings

Poppy's thrown by this, but in some form understands. The Forest Guardian's work is dangerous, he could've gotten hurt many times over while they partied. She had no idea that their parties attracted predators. She asks if their was any way to prevent that

Branch is shocked, all he had to do was save the village and put on a mask and suddenly people wanted to listen to him?! Taking advantage of this new found respect. Branch takes Poppy around the forest explaining how he keeps everyone safe from the forest, and just how vulnerable they all are. And that he deosn't want them to stop their fun, he just doesn't want anyone to get hurt or worse.

Poppy takes all this information, back home to her father, and suggests a few changes to make life better for both their guardian and the village. Peppy says that some of these suggestions would need to be consulted by the council however one of them they wouldn't need approval for. When talking with Keith the trolling had offered a less explosive way of thanking the Forest Guardian. Peppy agrees to knight the hero.

Word spreads quickly as troll village hadn't had a knight since before bergen town was established. So everyone is really excited. When keith tells Branch about the knighting thing, it's really surprising to the grey troll. After all he only took down one wolf their acting like he conquered the sun for them. Still the kid talks branch into going to the ceremony.

The ceremony goes smoothly although branch doesn't stay very long at the after party. Keeping up appearances is hard. Not to mention Poppy is all over him wanting to dance and find out his real name. He doesn't give it. Still some how rumors fly about hiw the princess and the new knight are smitten with each other. Keith teases branch about when ever they meet up. Branch is just worried about Poppy getting too close to him. After all in reality he isn't the hero they all think he is.

Life goes on, Poppy tries to reason for more safety measures but the council won't allow them. She goes to branch as the forest guardian for help. Shockingly its easier to standup and reason his ideals while in costume. He gets them to think about it, and Poppy offers lunch as a thanks. She disappointed that he won't take off his mask to eat, which leads to a conversation over why he hides his face. Once more rumors about the knight and princess pick up pace.

When the 20th freedom anniversary rolls around, Poppy trie to invite the knight but Branch declines saying that such a party 2as too big of a risk during predator season. Poppy doesn't head his word as Guardian or normal branch and goes trhough with it. You all know how this ends. Poppy goes to the bunker and asks Branch if he has seen Forst Guardian any where worried about if the Bergan had already gotten to him as he didn't show up to fight the bergen. Branch said he didn't know. As in canon Poppy stuffs the village in his bunker. Keith tells Branch to go after her as Guardian. They both know Poppy has 0 to none on survival skills, and this way no one will stumble onto his secret while in the bunker.

Poppy is at first thrilled when Forest Guardian joins her, however her excitement dwindles as she realizes that he's more of a grump then she thought their hero was. He doesn't join in on her songs and she's desperate to hear his voice. So also probs him on his back story, which Branch lies and says, "I don't have any."

Poppy: what how?

"Leta just sya that the story of the escape isn't as happy as everyone makes it out to be princess."

Cloud guy pissess him off as usual. And they can't spare Creek from getting "eaten". When freeing the snack pack, some of them ask for his autograph which, branch thinks their crazy for. Not the time and who has a pen on them at the moment anyway.

Branch still refuses to sing, with Bridget, and when cornered all he can say is that it tore his family apart. With a mix of truth and lies forest guardian says that he used to sing all the time with his family, but that made them prime targets for bergens. He became silent that's what saved him. "So forgive me if I'm not comfortable with singing in bergen filled town. I stay silent so that others don't have to."

The date goes the same, only Poppy is more giggly than in canon when Branch says she has a nice smile.

They both choke creek

True colors happens

then when confronting the chef, she doesn't react for Branch when she tries to for feed gristle. She reaches for Poppy. Branch jumps in and stabs the chef in the hand protecting the princess. Chef would then pull out a knife and with it smach brnahc into the far wall. Severally injuring him. Gristle orders for Chef to be captured. While Poppy runs over to Branch. She pulls off the mask and reveals the identity of the village hero. Shocking everyone.

Brnach remains unconscious for weeks afte the event. Poppy and Keith at his bed side. The village is rebuild. Peppy announced his retirement. And Poppy planns to create a team of well trained trolls to help bench protect the village.

When he does wake up, Branch is welcomed back home and offered the position of head of village security. If he wants it. With peace with the bergen established. Branch accepts the job. Creating the Forest Guardian's. Pop villages own defences force.

Not sure what will happen in the othe movies yet, but branch is definitely sporting a new scar that JD will freak out about.

lusopp au where they’re both content creators!!

luffy’s most popular videos are his mukbangs and parkour/stunt videos. usopp always goes viral for his horror game let’s plays, but he posts a wide range of content from art to chemistry to gardening.

one day, ace shows luffy one of usopp’s videos (feat. franky) where he’d been blowing random shit up and he falls down a rabbit hole of watching usopp discuss bug facts, obscure celebrity impressions, and tutorials of how to recruit an army of 8000 warriors.

luffy thinks usopp is the most hilarious person ever, so he reaches out and practically demands that they meet. usopp, who’s been subscribed to luffy forever positively freaks and almost passes out when they finally do meet in person. his nerves soon fall away when he realizes that luffy is even sillier and more friendly than he appears in his videos and over text.

cue them becoming fast friends and the internet’s favourite new duo! luffy gets usopp to join his mukbangs and stunt videos, they play video games together on usopp’s channel, and they have spider wars while luffy helps usopp set up his latest garden.

usopp generally tries to avoid reading comments due to past events, but even he can’t ignore all of the shipping that goes on in his livestream chats, especially because he’s head over heels for luffy and is petrified that his feelings are obvious for the world to see.

lots of ‘hopeless’ pining on usopp’s part. he doesn’t realize that luffy has been flirting with him the whole time because 1.) he never thought he had a chance and 2.) luffy’s brand of flirting is not subtle but definitely not traditional. easy to misinterpret for a nervous guy like usopp.

one day they’re live streaming and luffy reads a comment, which says luffy should just kiss usopp to make it obvious that he likes him. luffy brightens up, because it’s a great idea that he should’ve thought of sooner!

usopp’s in the middle of ranting about the latest enemy in the video game they’re playing when luffy turns, grabs his cheeks, and pulls him into a kiss.

“usopp!” he exclaims when they part. “i like you! be my boyfriend, okay?”

and usopp’s so stunned but so, so delighted by the confession. he whispers an, “okay” and pulls luffy into another kiss before he remembers that they’re live and ends the stream with an embarrassed yell.

the video clip of their confession is #1 on trending for a week. <3

There are two types of DnD duos in the pjsekai DnD AU:

Akitoya

A: "what do you mean?! We are half-way through the journey and you just quit" I grab Toya by the collar. "You'll just let everything behind?! What did your dad say to you?"

T: "it's my own decision, not my father's. Let go off me"

A: " Why?! And act like none of this existed?! Like you didn't want to do this with me?! To make it all seem like nothing?"

T: I teleport myself to the door, I put my hand in the handle and I look at him. "At this point, I think it is." And I leave.

And Ruikasa

GM Ichika: and you guys see a an old stone, abandoned, spyral stairs going down to the ground, in the darkness. What will you guys do?

R: I turn to Tsukasa. "Rock, paper, scissors to see who goes on the front?"

T: "You're on!"

R&T: "Rock paper scissors shoot!" * Tsukasa chooses paper, Rui chooses scissors *

T: "Not again!"

R: I point to the stairs "lead the way, my bard!"

T: I go down the stairs while grumbling "If there are any bugs in here,I will shove my lute up your throat in your sleep."

With Respect to Harry and Meghan’s Australia Tour, from an Aussie:

1) A fair few of their engagements were at popular tourist spots, so the spots had a crowd anyway, with or without the duo’s presence.

2) The crowds were average to small. The photos are very carefully engineered to make the people who turned up look like massive crowds. They crammed whoever turned up into very small spots and took close range photos to make it seem like there was a crowd, or they whoever turned up and strung then out along a line one or two people deep to create a crowd for the photos. If you know the areas they visited, the manipulation is obvious.

3) William and Catherine were far more popular. I lived through both tours, and I know which one has genuine popularity and organic coverage (the Waleses) and which one was all hype (the Harkles).

4) The tour was supposed to be a solo visit by Harry in support of the Invictus Games, and he was supposed to spend most of it at the games (not just one event and the closing ceremony). The fact that he barely attended the Games and insisted on on inserting Meghan into the event left a sour taste in many mouths (Meghan was never meant to present medals or make a speech, he tantrumed, threatened, pulled rank and blackmailed to get those events for her).

5) No one who had anything to do with Meghan in a service capacity liked her. Harry spent all his time apologising for her behaviour (he still has some sense of decency then).

6) The split tea rumours are true, both the event and BP paying $$$.

7) The tour was so bad that Prince Andrew was sent on an ‘apology tour’ a few weeks later to mend diplomatic ties, while ostensibly doing something for Pitch for the Palace (this was pre Epstein scandal).

8) I believe the other countries the duo visited (New Zealand, Tonga, and Fiji) had a similarly bad experience, if not worse.

9) The popularity of the tour exists only in the Harkle’s PR. For everyone connected with it, it was a disaster - so much so that the late Queen summoned Harry and Meghan to account for their behaviour when they returned to the UK (apparently Meghan cried bug tears and played the pregnancy card at the meeting).

10). If you want to see big crowds, look at the photos of Princess Diana in Australia. She drew massive crowds. The Harkles were lucky if they had an eighth of that amount of people turn up for the, including the tourists already at their destinations.

So I do remember it was to be only Harry and it was to be solely focused on the Invictus Games. From what I can remember at the time, Meghan had been pushing really hard for a United States victory tour shortly after the wedding and that was denied so when the AUS tour was being planned, Meghan insisted on going and making it into a free vacation.

The whole tour was a disaster from what I recall. Meghan belly-cupping a seven week old fetus, her failing to curtsy to the King and Queen of Tonga, leaving the market after 10 minutes so she could go to a spa...etc...

The Amazing Digital Downpour

Woe, Rainworld and TADC au be upon ye.

It’s mostly just the designs but I’m still going to ramble about what’s planned down below

So the general premise is ‘What if the circus was in rain world’ and this is it.

Caine and Bubble are the classic duo of iterator and overseer. But Caine has kinda forgotten his original goal and so has taken on the task of keeping all these not ancient ancients from going insane through fun challenges and adventures. Especially since there’s no escape from his can due to some technical oversights during his creation, and the whole cycle thing prevents anyone from truly dieting, so that’s not an escape either.

(If they die they just get ‘respawned’ the next cycle with minimal harm; everyone still remembering and coping with it)

Now on to the main stars of this show. Everyone here was at some point an ancient and only remembers attempting to ascend before suddenly falling from a random pipe within Caines structure. Oh and ending up in rather unusual bodies.

Caine has no idea where they come from nor how they appeared, so that’s a dead end. And escape is practically impossible as far as anyone is aware.

So what’s going on with everyone?

Pomni

Weird lantern mouse (her tail glows instead of her open tire body)

Absolutely minuscule

Practically shakes from how much anxiety she has

Otherwise she’s the Pomni you know and love

Just add on some extra existential dread

Ragatha

Mostly a normal slugcat

Just extra fluffy

Surpassingly craft for having less dexterous hands

Kinger

Scavenger

Just a weirdly colored scav

About as obsessed with bugs as he is with pearls

Somehow has managed to get quite the collection of both

Jax

Really weird slugcat

Got lizard in him or something

Still just as much of a jerk

Has absolutely gotten everyone killed once

Zooble

They’re just a mix of everything, you name it, it’s probably in there (somewhere)

Which has somehow led to them being pretty chill, guess all those instincts just cancel everything out

Takes full advantage of their size, and uses it to scare off Jax (no it has not stopped him from being the end of them)

Gangle

A garbage worm with some vulture

She’s still heavily influenced by her masks for her emotions, although to a lesser degree

Without them she looks mostly like a normal garbage worm (just red)

She gets very upset and angry, and will chase whoever stole or broke her mask (only does it for awhile till she tries herself out)

After she tires herself out she just acts generally mopey

Is in fact made of three different organisms, the smaller worms act as her arms

Bubble

It’s Bubble not much to say

He’s an overseer and acts the exact same, if not more annoying since he has more free reign

Caine

He’s an iterator, capable of controlling practically everything in his can

His face got destroyed before anyone can remember (Kinger doesn’t count)

Just as clueless on how ancients work, he didn’t get to talk with them much

He will often create purposed organisms and alter his structure to fit the daily adventure, trying to keep it from killing anyone

The structure is unusual, almost like it was made for what’s currently happening

With huge rooms and areas just mostly empty, and much more editing capabilities than most iterators

Despite being trapped in his room, he tries to stay connected vie Bubble and built in screens
