also I wonder if he still has that eating disorder??? or at least, disordered eating habit. like, he STILL doesn't like most "junky" foods (I'm specifically thinking of Tim suggesting he try Doritos from Anti-Social chapter 7, and Selina suggesting coney dogs from Stolen moments)

but SOME foods that can be kinda gross he IS okay with and sometimes even seems to prefer (like bad Chinese and hot dogs from Third Wheel chapter 3. I would include gyros from the same chapter and Anti-Social (again) chapter 6 on this list but that shit's tasty. can you tell I've read this collection of fics too many times)

but that doesn't necessarily mean he DOESN'T still have that eating disorder. it could just mean he's gotten very good at gestimating nutritional information and keeping mental track of stuff like that

anyways. I also feel the need to mention his "my father liked to cook" mini-monologue from HR chapter 7, but I don't know how to weave it into here. it just feels important somehow. have a lovely day, I love your writing i'm far too obsessed with it

i don't know if orthorexia is really the word for what i write bruce as having, because that's usually associated with Clean Eating and Health and No Processed Foods and that's not really what he does. what he's concerned with is Maximum Efficiency. if he were left to his own devices he would take a multivitamin and then eat mostly peanut butter out of the jar and possibly some kind of whey slurry (which is p much exactly what he's doing in chapter five). protein and calorie density are the priorities.

the foods he favors tend to be things that in his mind don't 'count', foods that made it onto his list early on and now he sticks with them. like cucumbers. or yogurt. a handful of plain kix. when you have an eating disorder and you're carefully tracking everything you develop certain habits and certain 'safe' foods, and even when you try to go back to eating intuitively you still have that list in your head. if he's going to eat Real Food he favors protein-heavy and cheap because it feels like less of a waste that way. he thinks high quality foodie stuff is a pearls before swine situation when he's the target audience for soylent.

he hasn't noticed that he thinks of cheap chinese food as special occasion food, but he does

Since your request was pretty vague, I've decided to do a list of Headcanons about what it would be like to be in a relationship with Minho whilst in the Glade. I hope that this is what you wanted, but if not, I'm more than willing to do another request with more of a story based structure :)

SUMMARY: Minho × fem!girlfriend!reader. Just Headcanons.

WARNINGS: Inappropriate language, kinda smut/spice content further down, so skip if that makes you uncomfortable.

Dating Minho isn't for the faint of heart. Truly- it's a stressful endeavour.

He's always out in the Maze, risking his life to try and protect you and everyone else that lives in the Glade. But, boy, does that make it stressful.

You always wait for him at the Doors, waiting patiently (impatiently) for your loving boyfriend to return.

And if he's even the slightest bit late? All hell breaks loose.

"You're late! Again!"

"By what? Thirty seconds?"

Obviously, you only act like this because you care about him so much. He sees it, and he understands why. Sometimes, he'll linger around the final corner of the Maze just a little bit just to see your reaction.

Minho likes to see that someone cares. Most of the Gladers are completely used to it, but no matter how long you'd been there, the thought of him not coming back stresses you out. You know he's the best, but the thought still eats you alive.

Minho never pushes it too far; he just wants to see that you care not give you a panic attack.

He'll always give you a kiss as he enters the Glade, but after lagging behind a little bit, you're always more forceful and needy- another reason he slows down.

The problem with Minho being the best is that he also knows he's the best. The boy definitely has a cocky streak. Sure, to outsiders, he seems cold and collected. His brow is almost always furrowed, and it's a rarity if you convince him to join in with Bonfire night. But when you know him, you know what he's like. Sarcastic and quick-witted. He's willing to argue with anyone (especially Gally) just for the sake of winning.

The main thing he argues about is, well, you.

More like defends.

Being the one girl in a place as chaotic and testosterone driven as the Glade means that Minho, along with a couple of other friendly faces, are constantly keeping an eye on you. If Minho is out in the Maze, Newt or Alby are always close by, per your boyfriend's request.

But that doesn't stop some people.

Minho has gotten in numerous scraps and shouting matches to defend you. He knows you can defend yourself, but you're hit girlfriend- of course he's going to protect you.

He's overprotective. Something you probably shouldn't find attractive, but you do.

One of these outbursts was the first time he told you he loved you. Clint and Jeff had left you to patch up his bloody nose, not wanting to deal with anymore of Minho's bullshit, and he just kind of said it. Out of nowhere.

"Seriously, dude? You got hit shuckin' hard."

"I love you."

"...What?"

"I love you- I- I think I'm in love with you."

Minho's surprisingly into PDA. Not all of the time, and not too much, and it's definitely more of a cautious possessive thing than just being cute, but you don't mind. He normally stands behind you, hands on your waist. His grip is firm but not forceful and he loves it when you lean back into him, staring up at him with doe eyes. He melts like butter when you look at him like that.

Though, it's not like you're all over each other. You respect the other Gladers boundaries and don't want to make them uncomfortable, so your more heated interactions remain behind closed doors.

That being said, he is known to steal kisses or nip at your neck mid-conversation with someone else. You know, just to make sure they don't get the wrong idea.

You would always make an effort to spend time together. With Minho barely being in the Glade, dinners and evening times are by far the most precious. Once Minho is finished with his maps, he'll eat with you, then you'll both join in on the nights festivities. And by that I mean, you join in and he watches. Then you'll go to bed together.

You had moved into Minho's hut the second you started dating. It's world's better than sleeping in that gross old hammock.

He'd often joke you're with him for his bed.

Sleeping in Minho's arms was probably the highlight of your day. He was always gone when you woke up and the empty hut always put a dampener on your morning, but it wasn't so bad because you knew you'd fall asleep with him again that night.

His strong arms always swallowed you. You wouldn't be shocked if they crush you one day. Not that you'd complain- it would be a decent way to die.

Minho sleeps easily, often meaning you're awake later than he is. You spend the time tracing his skin with your finger, brushing over his lips and admiring his features. He sure is pretty.

Little do you know, that he does the exact same thing to you during his early rises.

Minho is shockingly easy flustered. You'd think for a guy of his skill and reputation that he'd be more receptive to someone matching his energy. But, no. He flirts with you day in, day out- that's nothing new. But you mainly roll your eyes or swat him away, but when you reciprocate, he ends up being the blushing mess.

"That shirt looks great on you- you almost look good enough to eat."

"Is that a suggestion? Be my guest."

"..."

Alright, smut time. I know why y'all are here. It's more spice than smut but still. Though, leave now if this makes you uncomfortable.

You and Minho actually didn't have sex for a long time. It wasn't that you didn't want to or think about it, and things definitely weren't made easier when you spent every night sleeping next to the shirtless God of a man. But Minho seemed reluctant.

It wasn't that you'd not done anything. You'd spent plenty of hours making out and grasping at one another, desperately trying to close the distance between you. But the second it went further- it would stop. You'd buck your hips against him, slide your hand down his abs, try to palm his crotch- anything. And he'd pull away. Obviously, that was your cue to stop as well, and you did.

It always turned sweet after that. Delicate kisses and laying in bed with your face buried in his chest, listening to his heartbeat. But you wanted more.

You heard the boys talking about it a lot. They always think they're so subtle, but they're really not. They'd always ask Minho questions like, "What's she like in bed?" "How hot is she, really?" "Is she good at (insert any inappropriate action here)?"

Minho never answered. If he did, he'd tell them to shuck off and mind their own business. But, in reality, there wasn't much to tell.

It caused all kinds of insecurities to come to the surface. Did he not find you attractive? Were you just a trophy? That he'd got the girl and no one else could?

He noticed your distance attitude fairly fast but got little to no answer out of you. So one night you were just laying in bed, back away from each other and you just decided to ask.

"Why won't you have sex with me?"

You'd never seen Minho so speechless before and you don't think you have since.

"Are you not attracted to me?"

"What? No? I mean, yes. I am attracted to you."

"Then why don't you act like it?"

Minho had to explain that he does, indeed, find you attractive. And that your little make-out sessions and flustered interactions get him riled up. Too much. He's scared that you'll think he only wants your for your body; that sex is all he wants you for but that isn't it.

He knows you spend half your time in the Glade listening to how horny teenage boys think women should be treated and what they think women like. But Minho didn't want to be like that.

He obviously didn't make a good move by brushing off your desires, but he was too worried about crossing boundaries to think about that.

It was an awkward conversation, but a necessary one. And things picked up a bit after that.

"So, do you want to fuck now, or what? Because I'm telling you I want to."

"Yes. Please."

Obviously, you were both bumbling virgins with little to no knowledge about the others anatomy. But somehow, that just made it more fun. The learning part was huge at the start. Figuring out what the other wanted whilst learning what you wanted too.

It was all new and daring and exciting.

It was also a lot of watching one another touch themselves. Something that completely flustered you and entertained Minho.

He learnt fast, just like he does everything. He learnt the perfect way to curl his fingers, the pace, the way to move his tongue- all exactly how you liked it to turn you into a trembling, stuttering mess in his arms.

You had a lot of insecurities. You didn't like your chest or your hips, and being under Minho's lustful gaze just made you more insecure. He didn't care. He thinks you're gorgeous. And he'd tell you that every single time you were even slightly vulnerable in front of him. Or even when you weren't. The man loves you, okay? Let him have this.

Minho's huge on consent. Massive on it. You show any tiny little sign of being even remotely uncomfortable, and he'd stop dead in his tracks. There's no way he'd risk making you upset just because he was turned on.

You found it sweet, but then slightly frustrating as you wanted more. He'd be so gentle and loving all of the time (and, yes, you love that too), but you'd wanted him to dare to be darker, rougher, even. You weren't gonna break in two if he used a little force.

You told him about this, and he seemed awkward, so you dropped it. Only to be slammed into the wall of your shared hut a couple of days later after a particularly bad day in the Maze. That was one of the first times of many that Minho would take his pent-up frustrations out on you.

With your permission, of course.

Minho's a switch through and through. It depends on how his day's been, but sometimes he's dominating and forward, knowing exactly what he wants and how to get it. And other days, he just wants to be taken care of.

He's not exactly loud in the bedroom, but he is vocal. He mainly grunts and provides heated words and praises. There are lines he won't cross though- sorry guys, he's not going to insult you, no matter how into it you are.

Though, he is into marking. He learnt pretty fast that he doesn't have to always be around with his hands on your waist if there's soft bruises staining your neck and collarbone.

Minho's also big on aftercare, probably because of his previous fears.

Overall, Minho would be a great boyfriend, and I stand by that. I mean, have you seen this man? He's willing to do anything for people he cares for.

Heya!! just wanted to say I'm totally in love with your work and with how are you rewriting their story, I'm so happy I found this.

Is just... idk how to put it but I used to like LO when I was younger and kinda binged it in a couple days, y'know? Now I'm re-reading it as I'm older and I'm like "wtf is this". Might sound silly but is kind of a heartbreak, something I used to like and now I just realize how... not good is it in reality.

So reading this makes me really, really happy. Your work is amazing and is dripping PASSION and love from it and I just love that.

I can definitely share that feeling with how it feels now to go back and reread LO, it's just not the same anymore. I wasn't even that young when I picked it up (grand scheme, yes, but not compared to the folks who picked it up when they were in high school, I was well out of college by the time I started reading it, so like... early-to-mid 20's?) but I was still admittedly pretty naive at the time and rarely noticed the red flags from the start; and when I did, I just brushed them off or went "I'm sure Rachel has something planned for that" which, unfortunately, she never really did in the long run (it took until the trial arc for me to go "oh god I don't think Rachel planned this out" and that's when the rose-colored glasses started to fall off lol)

I made Rekindled for exactly that purpose, to recapture that magical feeling of reading LO for the first time, just like it was for me and many others who shared the same experience back then. It's also really gotten me out of my stubborn ass comfort zone, I've learned so many new art techniques making it and the plot that I chose to go with is one that I adore writing because it's not far from the stuff I normally write (the original foundation for the Act of Wrath plot was the biggest one I wanted to retell because so much of it resonated with me as someone who's written plotlines similar to it in the past).

Hello! I know you're one of the people who ship Moon and Solar (TSAMS) And y'all have gotten me into the ship as well! XD I'm not caught up on the lore of the show(s) So i haven't even seen Solar IN SHOW before (i am very behind to before Lunar was Sun and Moons brother :' D) But I have some ideas I'm debating writing for the ship buttt....I have no clue how Canon Solar acts??? Do you know if theres somewhere I could find a Summary on his personality? (and I suppose...new Moon?) I'll probably unintentionally make them OOC...never written for anything TSAMS related, but i'll try!

And is there a ship names thats...like used for them instead of Solar X Moon or is it just called that?

Heheheh. Thank you. I've been shipping these two since June 2023 so I'm glad I can share the brainrot and some people are more welcoming and cool then I expect. (mostly the ones who can't think critically are the youtube audience but that's expected. Since a lot of the youtube target audience are... like.. minors or really young adults who can't conceive the concept.)

I rewatch that Episode where Solar changes his name and rebuilds the Daycare in a week just for Moon constantly cause it's just... so much admiration and appreciation Moon has for Solar in that episode. I swear I don't know if it was a flub on the actor's part... but I swear Moon calls him 'sexy' as he's dragging him to charge. the stock sound effect of "OOOOH" doesn't help my APD and I've listened so many times and I have no possible idea what Moon could be saying to Solar other then 'come here you stupid, sexy-...." (trails off) sooo... idk. I might have misheard that severely but that's just what I'm hearing.

Like, in terms of New Lore of the show, it gets pretty complicated.

So complicated in fact, TSAMS themselves released a new video on the subject.... But it's NOT a very good guide, as it misses a lot of things. (and no I don't mean the stupid guest cameo stuff) this is more or less an abridged take on what happens with no emotional impact:

Like, this is a good starting point if you want the barest of bones, but it misses so much stuff. I think they don't even mention how Solar gets introduced into this family. lol. Just like "yeah Im here and I helped kill Eclipse" fheahehf. It's a super well made video though, and I don't mind the editing mistakes (clearly when the actors change the avatar on screen.... whoops. Happens a few times)

There is also the Fan Wiki, but as of now, it is incomplete, (@twinanimatronics is working tirelessly on updating the wiki and I wish they got more reconignition from the tsams community as a whole ) but it does give a decent look into Solar

There is also the huge TSAMS Lore Document, which Ceph(twinanimatronics) also worked on which contains a further detailed explanation of the story so far, for those who don't have time to watch 2 years worth of youtube content that aren't in a concrete playlist. (TSAMS. PLAYLIST YOUR STUFF PROPERLY. YOU HAVE TWO YEARS OF LORE HERE)

Liike.... yeah... this is okay but like..

This is VRchat. Aka the lore. Which also includes when they play videogames in VRchat, which don't impact the story... Like Uno, Amongus and SCP stuff.....

And it doesn't divide the arcs. Something that TSAMS severely needs more then any other SB Show channel.

Also, in the early days, the gameplay videos USED to be part of the lore. As the concept of Eclipse itself, being a rouge evil ai that lived in Sun's head (as it was presented initially but we know the truth it was the killcode moon planted in Sun when they separated.)

These days, they kinda dropped the gameplay videos being directly connected to the over arching plot. Other then just saying that their vids are pre-recorded or "we're back" after an annual halloween takeover.

Not to mention... When Earth and Lunar got a show, they became intertwined with the Sun and Moon show. LAES is very much it's own thing, but it's the ONLY Security Breach Show that consists of two Original Characters spawned from the Sun and Moon show. A rarity. So their lore continues off from the Sun and moon show, giving more info on Lunar these days and Earth (their sister)

Then you have the Monty and Foxy show (which is my least favorite of the shows... Personal Preference. I try not to complain cus I know some people like it. But I do not like the plot points in that show, or the character writing and weird directions they take while being connected to the same universe.)

And Monty is a character voiced by Davis, who also voices Sun. So Monty started out as a prominent character on the Sun and Moon Show, and then got his OWN show... at a point in TSAMS history after Eclipse got the star and killed Lunar.

So yeah. I wish the playlists were better organized here. So we knew when each era starts.

(people say Matpat should get on this show lore... And noooooooo no thanks. Keep him away. We got you covered. Ceph honestly has enough info to make a video guide at this point.)

But long story short, Solar is a "Good Eclipse" from another dimension that the Old Moon introduced to Lunar, when Lunar was struggling with his trauma of leaving Eclipse. Good Eclipse and Lunar become friends.

Anyway, here are some key episodes that outline NewMoon and Solar's relationship, as Solar had never met the Old Moon.

Old Moon had never met Solar. It was New Moon who introduced himself to Solar to help defeating Eclipse once and for all. (and by this point lunar had died)

He was actually surprised that this Moon was a chill Moon and could be reasoned with and talked to, considering he was living a rather oppressive life from his own Moon.

There's also a whole episode saga of just these two bantering and talking while they work on the satellite together. I can't remember which specific episodes those are.

You can also see the difference between the Evil Eclipse and Good Eclipse here in one of my all time favorite episodes:

Moon saving Solar's life: (also the death of the bad Eclipse)

Everything is good and happy after Eclipse dies for awhile. (aside of Ruin and Bloodmoon wrecking shit) He goes back to his own dimension... and you get to see what his sad life is like:

From his Moon calling him "byproduct" and failure very often.

But... Something happens and Solar is forced to come to Moon's dimension

here's Solar at his poor little meow meow "I have nowhere to go" stage and just... thought to go to Moon immediately due to their history.

Moon's only question about Solar moving in, is that if he wanted him to blacklist his dimension once he heard what was going on with his Moon.

And immediately, Solar jumps in to help Moon with his problems.

Also during the halloween takeover part 2 electric boogaloo, Solar was the one to help get Sun and Moon back after being teleported to a different dimension with no hopes of returning

Also, after Ruin was cured and Bloodmon ran off, Solar rebuilt the ruined Daycare in a week. And Moon is so grateful for it. (i rewatch this episode a lot. It cemented the ship in my mind and built the commodity that they've been building up for months)

We also get what Solar's daily life is like so far... How out of place he feels, being someone from a different dimension, despite the Brothers (and sister's) insistence, he still doesn't really feel like he's part of the family. He feels like an outsider. (He also has less opportunities to hang out with Lunar. As he expressed interest in playing games with him like the good old days, and as of recently, they have not yet)

also a good example of the Celestial family changing minds on family dynamics because they are robots. Lunar flat out rejected Vegeta-Animatronic is his brother even if he technically is. Like, they're robots. They can change their relationships to each other based on their word. I like to see it more flexible then it is in reality with actual people/humans.

Moon also trying to make Solar feel comfortable and feel like he's adjusting well here. Expressing his concern for him doing so much for him and his family. And hoping to not pressure him into so much work.

As of recently, his Sun died, and he killed his Moon. And in his therapy session (on the Lunar and Earth Show) he expressed regret over "Leaving" them...

But he has not properly told anyone about this.

My reasoning is that he probably thinks that the family will jump on the chance to call him "Evil" .....They don't have good luck with Eclipses.... and every Eclipse they met other than him has been Evil. (that must weigh on you. Every version of yourself is deemed as evil across every dimension. You are the only good one. Maybe there is something wrong with you)

I'm already at the video limit, but on Lunar and Earth show, there is an interesting episode where Lunar goes into Solar's head, and his mindscape looks like the Willy Wonka TV room, because it was a movie he watched with his Sun before they separated and Sun died. Showing that he did care about his Sun a whole lot... Which is probably why he doesn't interact with our Sun that much alone.

He also compartmentalizes everything before he can feel emotions, playing his own memories in third person as if he's not experiencing them.

Not to mention, he organizes and separates his thoughts on NewMoon and HIS Moon, just so he won't associate the two.

I also missed what episode it was, but Solar is always the first to call Moon out when he's being angry, or irrational, and Sun admits in his therapy session, that Solar is the only person who can calm Moon down. (mainly cus he's used to it, but unlike his old moon, this moon listens)

Anyway...

Have you ever thought about making a playlist for the DBHAU characters? I'd be interested in what music they all would listen to or songs that relate to them.

WAOUGH thank you for reminding me-- there's actually. okay. okay so, there's actually... (checks writing on hand) 9 DBHC playlists currently LFKGJDLKFG

The way i like to organize playlists is, as i develop a character's lore/think about them more, i tend to put/look for songs that represent moments/feelings throughout their overall story in chronological order, rather than putting things on the playlist that are like, things the character would listen to or just general vibes. So each playlist is built to kinda... take you through their whole emotional journey :3 LFKJGSDFG although!! Usually, i will try to find a song i think is a good overall representation of the vibes, story, and character! Like, a title track :>

I think the only playlist that's currently closest to it's "finished" form or version is Etho's, which i've actually been meaning to share for ages LKFKLFJG but i keep getting this feeling that I would rather write up a quick explanation for what each song represents before I post it here, so i haven't gotten around to that yet :(

My Thoughts on Touchstarved

So, I've finished the demo! Let me start off by saying that I love the story! The concept is awesome, I adore that you can choose your own background, I love how immersive the setting is, everything is just... amazing. I can't wait for the full game to come out! Especially with all the special treats we're getting from the Kickstarter goals, it's going to be fantastic! And now, my friends, I shall share with you my thoughts & Headcannons for each of our lovely love interests, in order of appearance. If you'd like to see more, my requests are open!! I haven't gotten any for Touchstarved yet but I'm itching to write for them, I just... need some inspiration, so the more the merrier!

Kuras

First of all: pretty. I love his design, it's wonderful. He looks so ethereal! And very doctor-y, which was the point.

Can we talk about the hair, though???? How cool is that?? I love it. It looks very soft and fluffy. And so long... Could you imagine sleeping next to him? You wake up and you're drowning in floof.

He's very kind and gentle, but is obviously holding back. He distances himself from people, and like everybody else on this list, he needs to find someone he can really trust to open up and be himself with.

And he stays so busy, like... when does he ever take the time to relax? I know the city needs him and his clinic, but he deserves some time off, too.

To be honest Kuras gives me kinda like.... asexual vibes? Maybe demisexual? Idk, maybe I'm reading too much into him being reserved, but. I just feel like he either wouldn't be interested or he'd want to fall in love with someone before taking them to bed.

Leander

I love him, he's incredible. So talented, so kind!! I love the respect the Bloodhounds have for him, and how willing he is to go out of his way to help a stranger.

Also he blushes very easily and I love it, he's absolutely adorable

I am very very curious how he got so much skill with magic, because that doesn't seem to be normal. I bet it has something to do with his secret.

He very clearly has some serious trauma in his past, too. I wonder how he got that scar, if it has anything to do with his magic, if it is indeed the same scar running from his face to his arm....

Seems like he drowns his trauma in alcohol, his gang, and keeping himself very busy. Poor thing clearly doesn't get as much sleep as he should.

I think he just wants to be loved, but he's afraid to let himself be too vulnerable.

I feel like he'd flirt with a Soulless to get what he wanted. In actuality he'd just murder it, but... you get my point. You're never sure if he's gonna seduce you or slit your neck.

Literally if Sage and Rime from Last Legacy had a child.

He's absolutely not trustworthy but I wanna get to the bottom of things and form that trust with him.

Romancing him would be very interesting. He's always three seconds away from eating you, but the question is... will he eat your soul, or your [redacted]?

He reminds me far too much of my friend's OC, and for that, I am the sliiiightest bit obsessed with him. At least that gives me a headstart on his characterization.

They definitely fit into the whole "stronger than they appear" archetype because they're specifically mentioned to be pretty scrawny, but they have an impressive amount of strength and holy hells they're good with that dagger. That's incredible skill

I just. I want to break down those walls and earn their trust and teach them they have someone they can rely on who won't betray them, no matter what happens or how dark things get.

hi, just wanted to say I've just started to get into Twisted Wonderland and binge read your comics and content for it, it was really fun to read! i love how you draw the different characters' expressions! im still super new to it (haven't played the game yet but i got kinda hooked on reading the main story after looking it up by chance) but id love to play it eventually! do you have any suggestions on what to look up/read next as far as character backstories/interactions go? ive really enjoyed the parts from the birthday events (? i think?) that you have done comics from, they sound really fun! thanks for your time!

oh boy, GET READY because the personal stories/vignettes are where the real meat lies. like, the main story is the main draw, of course, and for good reason -- I am champing as the start of episode 7 grows nearer -- but Twst's strength is definitely in its enjoyable characters and their slice-of-life interactions in Zany Magic School. and fortunately, there's a lot of them!

(sorry this got so long, I have many feelings about anime characters)

most of the stories and events don't have a specific chronology aside from taking place sometime after episode 2 of the main story, so once you've gotten that far you're good to jump in almost anywhere! (the more recent events, starting with Fairy Gala IF, are explicitly set after episode 6 -- though if you're going off of the English version then I don't think any of them have been released yet.) event cards also assume that you've gone through the event story first and usually have spoilers or references for it. otherwise there's no real order, so you can just pick a character you like or event you think looks interesting and go from there!

one of the things I really like about Twst is that interactions aren't limited to defined groups -- everyone has inter-dorm friendships and clubs and sub-friend groups and opinions on everyone else that range from "well, I don't know if we're exactly friends, but we study together sometimes" to "I would literally die and/or murder for him" (and sometimes "I would literally die and/or murder for him but he won't let me >:("). characters pop up in each other's stories all the time, and pretty much everyone gets some extra depth or development to them that doesn't come out in the main story, so I do think it's worth it to read through at least a few for every character.

like, if you just go through the main story, you only really get to see Nice Mom Friend Trey, and not that he's actually kind of a petty asshole who is weirdly obsessed with dentistry and goes around sticking his hands in people's mouths. everybody has things like that! Jade is super into mushrooms! Leona is a feminist! Malleus has an intense emotional attachment to his tamagotchi! Cater participates in shallow consumerism because nothing in life has any meaning and actually his friends are pretty worried about him!

okay i lied, i am going to be talking spoilers (because i have no self-control, and i've seen other people share spoilers in the magnus protocol tag, so i assume it's fine?). assorted rambling thoughts on the premiere under the cut:

-ngl "rusty quill presents... the magnus protocol" made me so emotional

-ah yes, a civil service data entry job that has you working night shifts for no discernible reason. that's not ominous at all

-i love the new characters already! they all have such interesting personalities and relationships with each other, can't wait to see how they'll be developed in further episodes. colin is probably my favourite so far, we stan a grumpy IT guy

-speaking of colin, i'm glad we've got a scottish character this time! i love TMA to bits, but it had a lamentable lack of scottish accents

-alice is so much fun as well! i love how jonny described her as a "tumblr shitposter par excellence"

-sam is such a sweet guy, but i'm sure he'll be introduced to The Horrors™ soon enough... although maybe he already was! he seemed to be familiar with the magnus institute, and just like the trailer, this episode also hinted at something traumatic in his past that led him to join the OIAR. probably something to do with those dubiously ethical child psychology experiments...

-i hadn't even considered what OIAR would sound like spoken out loud, and it's so awkward lmao. really doesn't roll off the tongue

-i kinda ship alice and gwen now tbh. i'm getting prime "workplace nemeses to lovers" vibes from them

-okay, let's address the thing everyone's probably thinking about: i'm not sure how to feel about jon and martin's - sorry, chester and neil's - involvement in protocol. (i mean, it's not 100% confirmed that it is jon and martin, but it seems pretty likely.) like i've said before, i would have preferred to keep the ambiguity of their original ending, but on the other hand, this could be shaping up to be a really interesting plotline. plus, y'know, i've gotten pretty emotionally attached to these characters (*gestures vaguely at my ao3*), so i wouldn't be opposed to seeing them again!

-i guess the guy alice nicknamed augustus is going to be jonah magnus, then? that idea is just so funny to me. imagine being trapped in a computer with your boyfriend (who stabbed you) and your evil boss (whom you stabbed)

-i really like the vibe of the new "statements"! i particularly enjoyed the forum entries, i always appreciate the use of unique formats to tell a story. it reminds me a little of analogue horror, though of course it's the exact opposite of analogue - you could call it digital horror, i suppose? anyway, much as i loved the more traditional horror story structure of the TMA statements, i think it's super exciting that they're branching out and trying new things with protocol. looking forward to see what else they'll come up with!

I love Tasogare Outfocus, but this is actually my favorite Janome.

The second installment curse strikes again!

UGHHHHHHH THIS WAS SO WHOLESOME. Don't get me wrong, Tasogare Outfocus is written pretty decently, but I really don't like how Janome just glossed over Hisashi's SA and grooming like that. It reminds me a lot of Etude vol. 1. I can still get over Etude vol. 1 'cause it's not that uncommon to see in sports and Ichi-san's deal with Futami was given some closure in 2, but given how short Tasogare Outfocus was, Hisashi felt like he just lmao byed his teacher. 😔Doesn't help that it kinda doesn't matter anymore in overlap even though it hasn't been long since it ended. Is my son Hisashi really okay now? 🥹

I'm old, so DK BL doesn't appeal to me that much anymore. It's also hard to find good DK rivalries nowadays that aren't just about fucking or delinquents. Zanzou Slow Motion, however, just checked all the right boxes for the category: simple, no drama, and no loose ends. That coupled with Janome's element of touch?

And can we talk about this monologue?

Ugh.

I will say Jin's suspenders, Ichikawa's snatched waist, and the ABO shout-out greatly influenced my decision too. Y'all should get suspended in high school, not wear suspenders!

Onto the technicalities...

I don't think I've heard these two co-star before (or I just don't remember), so I was a bit skeptical especially 'cause last I heard Makonyan in a DK was in, well... Given as BLCD!Ritsu. And where else did we hear Yuuma star in a DK too? Yuuma as Anime!Ritsu. We just had Given Anime!Ritsu in Tasogare Outfocus being somewhat friends with Ichikawa and now we have BLCD!Ritsu (thanks to ecargmura for catching this!) trying to romance him. They used very different tones for Ritsu, but the vibe was the same overall. THEY'RE THE SAME PERSON. Makonyan and Nakamo also played tops in the last works I heard of them (Makonyan as Takaba in Kurui Naku and Nakamo as Yakumo in Nu:carnival), so I was concerned about a lot of things. Thankfully, however, instead of Makonyan going for his Ritsu tone or his lighter Kimitte Yatsu for a more youthful vibe, he went all shounen in here lmaooo.

His bwakame was so funny it reminded me of this:

I love roasting Makonyan more than any other seiyuu out of fondness, but I'm really proud of how far he's gone. He's gotten so much better in his delivery, and it's obvious in his budding anime career, too.

But...

I didn't expect there would be improvements in his bedding techniques too...

What the fuck was that? HAHAHAHAHAHA. WAIT. No, y'all don't understand. I have most of this man's r-18 otome CDs and BLCDs, and I have never heard him this... this hot before???? Jin is such a smooth flirt, so I had some expectations on the delivery, but FURUKAWA MAKOTO HISSES. HE HISSES!!! SIR IS THIS APPROPRIATE BEHAVIOUR FOR A HIGH SCHOOL BOY??? THEY DON'T EVEN SHOW THEM DO THE DO FOR MORE THAN A MINUTE??? WHERE WAS THE NEED?!

PUTS THE GODDAMN FU IN FURUKAWA MAKOTO ALRIGHT!

First it was Ono Yuuki, now it's Makonyan. Is Nakamo's ass really that good that his tops go all in???

I admittedly don't have a lot to say about Nakamo because that man always slays. I was afraid that Makonyan would overpower him during their Netflix and chill, but as soon as I had that thought, Nakamo pushed back like??? THEM SHAKIRA HIPS DON'T LIE!

HOW DO I LEGALLY MARRY GINGER RECORDS???

I didn't read the scan or the official English release 'cause I actually had the raws, so I can't vouch for the translation. As for faithfulness to the manga, however, I need to stress that there were a lot of rearranged events and cut dialogue. One notable instance was Ichikawa's message for Jin. It was placed after their kiss in the last chapter, so I believe that these changes are quite significant. It is still possible to read the manga while listening to the BLCD, but I suggest reading the manga once first so you're aware of which pages you need to jump to.

Chil-chil Awards 2022 was a scam 'cause this wasn't nominated for ANYTHING! This might actually just be my favorite BLCD of 2021... and Makonyan was my favorite actor in this series so far. OKITSU AND MAKONYAN REALLY SWITCHED IN THIS LOG HAHAHAHA. Makonyan and Nakamo at least won in my heart. 😌 Definitely listen to this if you're a Makonyan fan or if you're a fan of the series in general. It's also perfect if you're looking for something light and sweet but immersive at the same time. Chesk gives this a 9/10! Only the third 9 after Sonna ni and KD!

hatchetfield: the movie

so basically a while ago I saw a post on reddit with this cool little chain post format where they'd get the starkid reddit community to cast Hatchetfield: The Movie. Obviously, i did what any other sensible person would do and decides to transfer it over to the multiple starkid servers I was in on reddit (this was before I got tumblr) after multiple days of hard work and voting, here's what we ended up with!

pretty cool, right? And I decided to make the dumb mistake of coming up with a plot for this thing, so I've decided to share with you all what I've gotten so far! And by the way, shoutout to u/SuperKE1125 on reddit for giving me the idea in the first place!

Ted and Gary sue Pamela for being a terrible mother (Ted does it because Pete told him about how his new friend at High School, Hannah, seemed like she wasnt being taken care of well and underneath the tough exterior Ted actually cares) and Dan and Donna get an interview with him because all the Peanuts stories are getting stale. While setting up for the interview, A Man in a Hurry bumps into Gary. He apologises and the 2 soon hit it off. We then cut to Gary going over to the Monroe residence to discuss the will or smth. Linda tells Gary that suing Pamela is a terrible idea but Gerald is actually supportive of the idea. Ted and Gary then start gathering some evidence as to why she's a terrible mother and Dan, who's supportive, sends them over to his fellow reporter and best friend Boy Jerry. Boy Jerry tells them about how Pamela sent Hannah and Lex to Camp Idontwannabang and how he suspects that it was because Pamela didn't wanna have to take care of them over summer break, and she even suggested that Boy and Girl Jerry/i take care of them LONGER, which set off a red flag for Girl Jeri but Boy Jerry thought nothing of it. While visiting Jerry, Gary meets up Barry again and the two talk again for a while, with Barry saying that he thinks Gary is really cool for doing this and leaves after a suspiciously long time for a man in a hurry. Ted calls Gary out and says "With those heart eyes you were making around that guy I would've thought that you were dating" with Gary denying any feelings he had toward Barry. Boy Jerry says something about it being sinful and then we cut to the next scene. Pamela Fostor was watching the Hatchetfield News and swooning over Dan Reynolds, when she heard that Ted Spankoffski and Gary Goldstein were planning on suing her. Pamela would be very mad at this, and felt betrayed that Dan would support this case. A suspicious man then enters the van, and makes Pamela mcswoon. He introduces himself as Wilbur Cross and offers to help Pamela out with the case a little and take care of the kids very flirtaciously, disappointing John/Wilbur fans across the globe. Pamela agrees, saying "Well you kinda look like Dan Reynolds" and asks how he's gonna take care of the case. Wilbur replies, "oh.. I have my ways."It would then cut to Ted, entering his apartment on the phone with Pete. He tells his brother how they're gonna go forward with the case, saying "It's pretty open and shut". Then, he hears a sound. A frame falling. A picture of the CCRP gang. Ted thinks nothing of it until he hears more sounds, coming from his room. Music, beckoning him forward. Sounding awfully familiar to a commercial he saw.. he enters the bedroom, only to be met with 4 giant bird things.. Sniggles! They all maul him apart, bit by bit, as he screams.

And that's literally it so far lol. Yall have any other ideas on how to move forward with this???

- I really like horror! that includes both games and movies, like Five Nights at Freddys, and the Scream franchise!

- I love lemon flavoured and scented things! Lemon cheesecake is my favourite dessert <3

- I can be a very picky eater, but oddly enough, I usually go for foods that picky eaters tend to avoid such as sushi, and I tend to avoid "picky eater foods" such as pasta!! I love spicy tuna sushi, and just spicy food in general!

- I collect comfort items, like blankets and candles! I need to replace my favourite candle because I've burnt it all, but my favourite candle is my peach candle with a wooden wick, I like it because it smells really nice and also it makes a really nice crackling sound!

- I study English Literature + Language, Art, and Photography, and I love to design outfits and characters!

- Nicknames are one of my favourite things! I've been given lots of nicknames, e.g. Fizzy, Poppet, Tank, Knight, Jinx, and Ghosty!

- I really like anime and manga, and I cosplay! I really like dressing as characters and going to anime cons with my friends <3 I think my favourite anime would probably either be Seraph of the End, or Black Butler (specifically the Book of Circus Arc)

- I collect Monster High dolls, and I look for the original ones that aren't produced anymore! I currently have 3, two different Frankie's, and an Abbey

- I really like Lily of the Valley flowers, I think they're so pretty

- I occasionally have these moments where I become unresponsive, I'm not sure why it happens but from time to time I just feel empty in a strange way, and I don't really react appropriately to things (I don't seem to react at all to anything) so apologies in advance if you catch me in one of those moments

- My favourite book is called Erebos! But I've never really found another person who's read it! If you're a fan of Doki Doki Literature Club, I recommend it! It kinda feels like if DDLC was a dungeons and dragons type fantasy game!

- I love to write stories, brainstorming story ideas is one of my favourite things to do!!

- I have a special interest in vampires! I have for around 11-12 years now, and any mention of them will immediately get my interest! I love to talk about various vampire media! And if you have any you like and want to share, please do so!

- My favourite colours are orange and green, specifically soft peachy shades of orange, and soft/desaturated deep greens, I love colours that are easy on the eyes, and both those colours remind me of things I like, the sunset, and the forest/nature <3

Just beat side order n while i did have fun it kinda just confirms one thing to me: splatoon has just been trying to make octo expansion 2 again and again. It was clear with return of the mammalians, and it was clear here- especially the finale. I definitely liked it but i did wish there was a bit more plotwise yknow- having a sanitized octoling as a character was sick as hell but i wish we got to know more about sanitization from them and more about acht and marinas pasts- i admit I'm still hunting for the dev diaries so if any of these things are answered there i will gladly take it.

Also this is just me being cringe but they should've gone all out with the color theme and have eight get rainbow ink for the final boss

Your first point is VERY TRUE honestly they REALLY HAVE just been trying to recreate octo expansion ever since octo expansion came out lol. (Spoilers for Side Order under cut)

I'm not "done" with the story yet, I hesitate to call the first full run-through of the tower "the story" despite the final boss being there. Arguably when you beat the final boss, that's basically the prologue for the ACTUAL story to start, because prior to that you have like... maybe 20% of all the lore the thing has to offer. I feel like it is a weird decision from them to put so much of the story (well, not even really story, just unlockable lore) behind you already having beaten the final boss and rolling credits, given most people that get through the final boss will treat that as the mark that they've "beat" the game even though in Side Order's case, "beating the game" is really just STARTING the game. (And this makes most of the story technically postgame, which is something a lot of people don't enjoy.)

I believe the ACTUAL story will further unravel as you do repeat playthroughs of the tower, as the story is less "get to the top of the tower and defeat Order" and actually more "reconfigure all the palettes to save all the people whose souls have been pulled into the Memverse (name pending)". I won't be giving any bigger consensus on how the story is or if it's good until I've *actually* gotten to the very end of it, because the way it's been unraveling I am interested in if there's some other developments later on - I'm thinking there's about a 50/50 chance of there really not being anything more than extra lore, but the other 50 chance of there actually BEING some kind of story progression later on still.

They definitely SHOULD'VE done rainbow ink for the Order fight... I can agree with people on one thing and it's that the final boss was very underwhelming. I got to the final boss on my FIRST TRY (then died because i got knocked off the stage lol) and just... having the final boss be about one and a half hours of gameplay after STARTING the game is not great lol. But even with the final boss battle itself, it felt extremely underwhelming with no buildup and a short boss battle, and you could argue that the whole story IS buildup to the boss - this is true! But if it's JUST buildup to the boss, then... my point is Side Order's first full run kind of feels like the escape phase in Octo Expansion with much worse payoff. It's a pretty good buildup for a pretty underwhelming final boss, but it's just that - JUST the buildup, really. I think Octo Expansion's escape phase might even be longer than my average run of the tower, and the tower is the main game.

I dunno where I'm going here really. I do hope they start doing more ACTUAL LIVING STORY in Splatoon rather than putting the characters in a box and giving you all the information as a text box - but that's something i expect from Splatoon stories as per default, honestly, so i wasn't let down. As for the story itself, I'm pretty happy with it and it's delivered above my expectations so far (which were low, so that isn't saying much). I'm just really happy they're finally doing continuity and going back to elaborate on Octo Expansion - you know, something that a lot of people love and. something I have been complaining about for like 6 years straight now because im a hater. Though I also think the decision to make the story indirectly - AND directly - about octo expansion is a really weird choice given there's got to be a lot of players who never played it, and those players have no idea what's really going on and probably won't care as a result. The FF14 community has a sarcastic saying along the lines of "great community btw", which is used in cases whenever someone or some group of awful people pop up doing something shitty and which I find annoying.

I think it is really obnoxious because having a great community does not mean there will never be any awful people in that community.

Especially when you get an award for stuff like having a great community – something that in many spaces is usually based on popularity or earned via nebulous committee vote.

That's just not how people work. And putting that strange standard on every single person in that community is really unrealistic.

In fact, I think it would be creepier if occasional assholes didn't pop up. Actual cult behaviour entails a situation where nobody is frustrated, critical or says anything bad about each other ever.

And this is doubly so for stuff that is popular.

We have 30 million accounts in the game now. Do you honestly expect not one of them to be made by an awful person?

The second frustration I have is tying social media with the community. Yoshi-P and his team, don't, even in fact, straight-up can't really, moderate what happens on social media, on Twitter, Reddit, Discord etc.

And as far as I know their official accounts keep it pretty basic and chill.

So, a lot of the bad stuff is just the nature of social media and the internet.

Now, this actually does not mean the dev team bears no responsibility because what they can do is minimise the poison within the game itself.

FF14 is probably the cleanest multiplayer community I've been apart of ever. The most I've gotten is generic insults in French.

The lack of gamerwords in my 3 months of time surprised me the most, and so did the occasional actual compliments. We just either talk about the game or what issues there are with us doing the mechs or disband when stuff isn't working out and time is getting wasted.

But I also know many haven't been as lucky and some of the security features were dated even by the time the game re-released back in 2013.

The friendlist is a mess because it doesn't block properly, and I know stories of people who had to go to another region to escape their stalker.

The GMs, while preferrable to any automated moderation, still don't catch everything, sometimes for years, especially whistleblowers who signal stuff in specific codewords and technically aren't breaking the rules.

Unjust massreportings can happen.

Reporting can be clunky and from what I've explored is hidden behind some menuing instead of just being an open option like in many other online games.

So they kinda can't control Twitter or Reddit at all and they can't change human nature, but I think they can modernise a bunch of the social tab.

I also haven't experienced the game as a non-sprout/at endgame yet, which I'm told can make a difference. Part of the reason why I find the game so rewarding is because you find so many different experiences and opinions in just Duty Finder and you just sometimes get to talking with them about the game and then various other things.

Recently, many gathered to honor Akira Toriyama in many of the data centers and people were just kind of talking to each other about DB and other series.

And I've never seen anything like this in any other MMO or any multiplayer games. I know it happened for Kentaro Miura, too, when he died.

So clearly, the social element is a huge part of the identity of an MMO, so if they mean they're improving the MMO in the MMO, I hope this also includes the social tab features.

Your stomach immediately dropped as the situation dawned on you. You were sitting in front of James Hetfield himself, and all your brain could think of was him railing you into oblivion. And there was no one around to witness it. Your lips part to give an answer, but he beats you to it.

"Is something wrong? Is it something personal?"

"Yeah." Your new plan was to talk as little as you could, lest something slip.

"You can tell me. This is a safe space. I've heard some pretty weird shit so I most likely will not be surprised," he chuckled. You smiled at his remark. Welp, there goes the plan.

"You've just helped me through some really tough times in my life. The others too, but I always looked up to you. You're just kinda...my comfort person." You sunk a little in your chair, waiting for him to speak again.

He smirks at you, his eyes lighting up. Just like when he stared you down onstage. He had finally gotten a confession out of you. Now, how to use it against you?

"Not exactly what I was expecting, but I'm glad I could help you. It means a lot to me."

"What do you mean, 'not what you were expecting'?"

"Well, usually it's something...sexual. Lady at the very beginning of the line flashed her vibe remote at me and winked. Not exactly subtle."

"Oh. That's.... interesting." You were suspicious of him saying that. Did he know? How did he know?

His eyes were roaming, and you basked in his gaze. You looked away to give him some time.

"Yeah, interesting. Is there anything like that you wanna share with me?" He cocked his eyebrow and sat up straight in his chair.

"Or are you just gonna keep dancing around the subject?"

Your breath caught in your throat at his words, your eyes meeting again. He stood up from his chair, grunting as he straightened his vest. You enjoyed the view of him so far above you. The thought went straight to your core as you involuntarily clenched your thighs and let out a sigh as your panties made contact with your clit.

"You can't hide from me. When I saw you in the audience, I just knew you were the cutest piece of prey I've ever set eyes on. I know why you're here."

He walked as he explained. He ended up behind your chair, you could feel his presence.

"I..I don't know what you're talking about! I'm just here for the show," you squeaked.

Your eyes widened as he released his hold and took your hand to help you stand up on your shaky legs.

You found yourself in his dressing room, sitting on the beer-stained couch in the corner. James had left a few minutes ago, without telling you where he was going. You were nervous. What if he had left you? What if he was telling the others what had happened? Your thoughts were interrupted by some chatter outside the door and the shadows of shoes under the door. James let out a forced laugh and said goodbye to who you assumed was a roadie. He stepped through the threshold after fumbling with the lock for a few seconds.

"Up."

"Where are we going?"

"Well, we're going back to my place. We all got an Airbnb instead of a hotel. These walls aren't sound-proofed, and besides, this room makes it too easy."

You gulped.

"Too easy for what?"

"There's nowhere to go. Too easy for me to catch you," he said, grinning wickedly.

You blanched and stood up. Your breath came in sharp, short bursts. You had never done this before, but you knew that it was right. He led you to his rental parked outside the venue and helped you in. The car ride was long and silent, the only sound being the rock playing over the radio. You tried to distract yourself by humming along with the songs, but he never left your mind. It was about 20 minutes before you had stepped out of the car and onto the driveway. Out of all the Airbnb's you had expected it certainly wasn't this. The house was dark and gothic, like a mini-Victorian mansion. Behind it, a vast crop of woods. A drawn-out cry resounding from the forest, and you yelped. James came around the car and lifted his hands to your cheeks.

"What in the hell was that, James?"

He kissed your forehead before grabbing your shoulder with his left hand and whispering in your ear, careful to keep his right hand stroking your cheek.

"The sound of a predator looking for its dinner, roaming the woods, sniffing out its prey, and catching it. Hunting it, devouring it, tearing it to shreds."

"Fuck, James!"

He had pushed you against the car and inserted his knee in between your legs, rubbing you through your clothes. Your eyes rolled back as he whispered in your ear, "Yes? What do you need? Do you want to be hunted down? You want me to chase you with every intent of ravaging you, doing whatever I want to you?"

You moved your hips on his knee, grinding against the denim.

He smacked your cheek, earning him a strangled moan from you.

"I asked you a question. I expect you to answer it. I also expect you to ask me for permission before you try to pleasure yourself."

"Yes, yes I do! I want you to chase me down like I'm prey!"

He smirked against your neck, sucking bruises onto the tender skin.

"Good girl. You're a fast learner."

You shuddered as he pulled away and watched him walk towards the path to the porch. Your freeze instinct finally gave away, and you followed him.

There were rocking chairs on the porch, old and rickety like the ones at the venue. He sat in the closest one to the door. You stared at him, expecting an invitation or a remark of some kind.

"C'mere"

You slowly approached his chair. You took off your purse and set it on the boards of the porch. You straddled his lap, setting your hands on his shoulders. You could feel his hard-on beneath his jeans, and your mind reeled as you took everything in. His pocketknife hung onto his front pocket by the clip, leaving it to press into your unclothed thigh. You gasped as you felt the cold metal, and James chuckled.

"You like it?"

He took your slack-jawed silence as a 'yes' and pulled it out of his pocket. In one flick of the wrist, the blade flew out of the grip and flashed in the porch light's glow. He twisted it between his fingers, flipping it every which way. His dexterity was not surprising at all, considering his job.

"Yeah, it's pretty."

He stopped spinning it and lowered his knife hand, so it rested on the fabric of your skirt. Your clit pulsed at the thought of him using it on you. Again, it was something you were entirely new to. Maybe James was your gateway to a whole new world.

"Yes, please. Use it on me!"

He grinned and put the knife back in his pocket.

"P...please"

His hands grasped your left hip with an iron grip. You clenched around nothing as he snuck his right hand under your skirt and moved your panties to the side carefully, so as to not touch your folds.

helloooo! welcome to the family! it's been quite quiet lately, but frank and karen are always in our hearts lolol and every now and then there's a little resurgence, so that's nice. umm first up interviews. there's a lot of little quotes here and there that were a big deal. we didn't get many interviews of the two of them together, if i remember correctly. i think two comic cons were pretty exciting.

Been pretty quiet the past month and I don't know if there's really anyone that's still stuck around to see what I do next, but I'm still here! And the reason I haven't been posting as much is because I've been planning and I’m here to make some quick announcements for how 2024’s gonna go on this blog moving forward.

First things first....Karaoke Secrets is going on hiatus and this was what I was embarrassed to say because this story has barely taken off yet I’ve already had two big gaps in between posts and we still haven’t gotten anywhere. Oof. 

I admit, I kinda went overboard with adding a third story when I haven’t even finished the other two. Not to mention, because this one was more driven by fun and me needing a break from my usual stuff, I’ve faced the realization that this story isn’t as developed. It’s why I unfortunately hit a creative wall with it and along with the struggle of trying to do 3 stories at once, my inspo just isn’t with it at the moment. 

Don’t get me wrong, though, I still very much love this story! But I gotta really sit down and figure out an outline for it. I do prefer some sort of structure and I don’t have the full structure yet, so it’s best to put this thing to halt and see what I really want to do with it. Maybe one day when I’ve gotten the inspiration again and I’ve tightened some rough spots, then I can come back to it. For now, it’s on a break. And don’t worry, you will still see Risa and Akira every once in a while when I do some edits. I hope you understand.

BUT NOW THE GOOD NEWS:

AFTER FOUR LONG YEARS, REDEMPTION IS FINALLY MAKING A RETURN. Now, despite my lack of storytelling since the pandemic, I’m letting you all know that in the background I never actually stopped writing. I was still going over scenes for this story, writing dialogue, even going back to old scenes and writing in depth prose for them to get more in touch with my characters. 

This story is so dear to me and the inspiration has called me for the past few months. And thanks to the lovely people in the writing discord I’ve joined, that storytelling spark has finally come back. What held me back was the worry over Karaoke Secrets, but I needed to stop forcing myself to treat this like a job and follow my inspo. 

So we’re picking up where we left off. To new and old readers, I will do a summary post that tells you the story so far. I understand not everyone has the time to sit down and read and you are in no way obligated to do that so you’ll have the option to get a recap. That way we’re all on the same page by the time the story returns. And if you do wanna read from the beginning, be my guest!

Thank you to everyone that’s taken the time to read this and stick around. I understand I’ve been so messy with storytelling lately because of real life, but it really feels different now. I’m genuinely excited to get back to telling this story that’s been in my head since 2018 and hope you’ll join me in this crazy journey (again). And shoutout to the writing group for giving me the motivation. It may not have seemed like much, but your support has led me to fully get my storytelling back out there.
