last night drank one (1) twisted tea & articulated my understanding of what i call [debora vogel voice] wielość & the Lingo calls plurality in replies to a friend's twitter thread, & am eternally grateful to grad school for making me seek out this weirdo modernist idea in lieu of more fashionable psych-pathology conceptual frameworks:
it's like history, when time ruptures a new anchor forms & becomes a gravity well that pulls the experiencing subject back toward its epistemic orientation, so you get unmoored in time & dis/oriented until the anchored points are recognized as discrete, & put in conversation. like historiography of selves in time-as-experienced when it fractures. […] it's me at different points in time? like pins on a map. the map is not the territory. they're all me & they're all discrete bc they belong to their own times. also manuela von meinhardis is there. you can tell what time you wake up in by what languages you know & what glasses prescription you have & what music is in your head, & which people you remember, & how you think you relate to them. it takes practice but it's about time. thomas mann understood this.
UPD: as the bajoran prophets said in the ds9 pilot & sisko echoed--it is not linear! & my potrzebujemy wielość when we hold the non-linearity of *experience* in a simultaneous matrix. here i am using "simultaneous" in the delaunay sense--thank you @di-goldene-oygn for reminding me, & andy robinson for descriptions of cardassian memory that put me in mind of orphist paintings & aesthetic theory.

Could you talk a little more about the complexities of Blue Lions?
I agree that almost everyone puts them down and says they're simple, when in reality they're just as complex as the other houses.
i'm so sorry this took so long (homework is gonna be the death of me i swear) but oh my god anon i love you
in the reblogs of the original post i did expand on them a bit individually but i am absolutely happy to talk about it more
sylvain takes his duty seriously as the future margrave gautier, which is something not a lot of people talk about. he inherits the title in literally every single one of his endings in every route (you can fact check if you want) and it’s said that he does an excellent job helping fódlan regrow and protecting the northern border from sreng in every one of them. his only reservation about it is the existence of his crest and the shit he got because of it, both from strangers and from his brother. he’s also incredibly smart (see: his supports with annette (houses), shez (hopes), his three hopes a support with felix, his three hopes supports with ashe, his three hopes supports with ignatz) and a very caring person/good friend (see: his three houses supports with dedue, mercedes, bernadetta, lysithea, dimitri, and manuela, and his three hopes supports with ingrid, mercedes, felix, dedue, and dimitri). he’s reliable (there’s a ton of evidence to that, especially in three hopes) and it’s established that he’s one of the best tacticians out there. he’s passionate about devaluing crests despite benefitting from them to the outward eye, and is always ready to help when he can. he also has low self esteem and shoves his feelings out of the way. he throws himself into various engagements with women as a form of self-destruction, never allowing himself to actually fall in love with them and treating them like shit so he doesn't get attached. he doesn't see himself as worthy of love, and so he does what he can to taunt himself with the idea with it and then rip it away from himself (see: his supports with byleth, yes, he’s a flirt and that is a big aspect of his character, but it’s not the only aspect, which more people need to acknowledge.
felix also takes his role as duke seriously, which is something a lot of people ignore. he does abandon his title in some of his endings, but none of them are AM endings. he cares about dimitri, as much as he is loathe to admit it. he's driven by emotions and sentimentality despite his inability to display emotions, hatred for outward sentimentality, and cold exterior, as proved by his three hopes supports with ingrid. and that cold exterior he developed was to cope with what felt to him like the loss of both his father and brother, and later dimitri (who he likely saw as a brother figure then). he says, point blank, that he is far from immune to emotion in his a support with dimitri in three houses. he's stubborn, yes, but not unbearably so, and he's a softy at heart. it's said in his b support with lysithea in three houses that he gave the cake she gave him to a kid, implying he doesn't mind kids as he could have just given the cake to sylvain or ingrid or another one of his friends. he's not a bad guy and doesn't spread rumors, as proved by his supports with annette in three houses. he's highly adaptable and reacts to situations in whatever way will compliment who he's with, as said in his a support with shez. his tactics can be wild but he's still incredibly smart and a vital part of their strategies both on and off the battlefield, as said by ingrid in their three houses c support and dedue in their three hopes support. he's a good friend, as said by ashe in their three hopes support and his actions before his supports in three hopes with sylvain. he's not just an emotionless swordsman who hates his dad.
ingrid isn't just a stickler about rules. she's sentimental and incredibly mature for her age (likely due to being so ostracized from her brothers and having glenn, felix, sylvain, and dimitri as childhood friends), and is willing to go to great lengths for her loved ones, even if it does go to the extreme sometimes. she saw bernadetta hiding in her room regularly and took it upon herself to help, as she had done the same thing after glenn's death. she knows felix well enough to be able to coax him to class in their c support. she was lead to believe something false, but rectifies that in her supports with dedue and realizes the faults in her ways beforehand in three houses and in three hopes gives up on that hate as more information is revealed about the tragedy. she's also very well-read and can separate her fantasies and ideals from her duties, no matter how much it pains her to do so. she's not afraid to ask for help when it comes to less personal matters, but is also fiercely independent and loathes bothering other people with her personal affairs, such as marriage proposals and her turmoil about being a knight vs being count galatea. it's clear that she loves her home, as she knows that she would likely be the best candidate for the role of count, but she doesn't want to give up on her dreams despite that. though she resigns herself to her fate in three hopes, she allows herself to get comfortable enough with byleth in three houses to reach a conclusion that combines her duty and her dream. she admits to sylvain that he's the one who dragged her from her grief after glenns death, and she allows herself to learn the truth eventually. she's far more complex than people give her credit for.
ashe is not your soft boy. i see so much shit about him being just some soft uwu boy when he so absolutely isn’t. he was orphaned, left to raise two younger siblings, and had to turn to thievery all before his tenth birthday and is still regretful for the things he had to do to survive. he is undeniably good. however, that doesn’t mean he’s soft and harmless and has to be protected. he wants to be a knight, even knowing what that entails. he becomes a soldier at 16 years old and has to watch as his classmates puts the man who saved him to the sword. he’s a general in three houses and a knight in three hopes, and he fights in the war in both games. yes, he’s incredibly caring, he can cook, he holds onto his fantasies, his ideals can be a bit naive. but he is not just some little boy you get to fawn over, when he’s been orphaned twice over and lied to about his older brothers death and still continues to smile and still hasn’t given up hope for the future. he is capable of making hard decisions, able to decide things for himself. he was the only one going into the lions who didn’t know someone else, and three months later it’s his father attacking the church, and yet he keeps smiling and keeps going and makes valuable bonds despite that. and, again, he had to do regrettable things as a child. he lived on the streets while raising his siblings. he’s seen it all, and i’m tired of people pretending he hasn’t. he’s also phenomenal at reading people (there’s a lot of evidence but specifically citing his three hopes support with felix). he’s not just your soft boy.
also, mercedes has been through hell!! and people never remember it!!! she had to watch as her mother was used to give count bartels a child with a crest and then was thrown out. she had to leave her brother behind. she said in her a support with byleth that joining the war was the first choice she had ever made of her own free will. after the timeskip, she is twenty-eight. and yes, she's a big sister character, and yes, she is extremely caring for all the other lions, but she's not just that. she's always excited to learn and is incredibly innovative (her supports with ashe, her supports with dedue (hopes and houses), her c support with dimitri, the fact taht she willingly went to the fhirdiad school of sorcery). she's smarter than people give her credit for and has brilliant people skills and does genuinely enjoy taking care of other people (her b support with ferdinand, her supports with jeritza, her supports with felix, her supports with cyril, her supports with hilda). she's very devout to her faith, but she's even more devout to her friends and family. she has never once lived for herself (a trend with the lions, truly) but never begrudges that. she's not a simple baker; she's smart and kind and has a terrifying side of mischief in her. she often teases her friends, including byleth, but is incredibly respectful of everyones boundaries (see: her supports with felix). also, back to the hardships she's been through, her adoptive father literally bought her because of her crest. she and sylvain bond over this and the troubles that their crests have brought them, and she was perfectly happy to let sylvain rant to her about it while also offering her own experiences to show him that he wasn't alone. she's such a caring character and such a good friend, which people often neglect when talking about her, and all of this is reinforced in three hopes. there is so much more about her but i'm cutting it off here because otherwise this is going to be far too long.
annette is not just ditzy and hard-working!! she is a multi-faceted character with so many different aspects about her!! she's carefree and allows herself to actually act her age. she lets herself be silly and carefree and have fun. she's highly artistic (see: her supports with ingrid, felix, claude, and kind of mercedes) and a good friend, and she knows how to go about things when they go south. she's good in an emergency - better than most, in fact - and has the determination to get her and everyone else through. yes, she's a bit of an airhead, but she's incredibly dilligent and hardworking despite that. it's established that she doesn't really know how to take a break (supports with byleth), and that her uncle is really rather strict which leaves her to deal with low self-esteem, which was undoubtedly worsened by the fact that gilbert spends so long ignoring her (directly: supports with dedue. indirectly: her supports with byleth and caspar, how her preferred method after getting a “bad” is to console her). she's also a highly competitive person (see: supports with lysithea, a little bit in her supports with sylvain). she loves helping people (supports with dedue, supports with ashe, supports with ashe in three hopes, solo ending, and endings with byleth, claude, linhardt, non-CF caspar, non-AM felix, dedue, mercedes, hanneman, and gilbert). she's also a powerful mage despite wind magic not necessarily being the strongest. she's afraid of letting people down and disappointing them, which she says straight-up in her supports with hilda. she's highly inquisitive and loves to learn, though tends to be self-conscious when it comes to taking up other peoples time with it (supports with lysithea and hanneman). people need to stop using her just as comedic relief when that's not all there is to her.
there is so much more to dedue than his devotion to dimitri, which people tend to neglect. yes, he's stoic and not necessarily the best conversationalist, but he's a deeply caring person and while he doesn't trust easily, once he trusts you he will be the best friend you will ever have (supports with shez). he loves kids and hates that he scares them (supports with mercedes in three hopes). he cares about his culture, as shown in his supports with mercedes, byleth, ashe, and sylvain in three houses and his general role in three hopes. he cares deeply, enough so that he's willing to distance himself from people because he is of duscur and doesn't want to risk tarnishing their reputation (almost every three houses support, supports with mercedes in three hopes). he doesn't begrudge those that hate the people of duscur, despite the fact that he likely should, and even seems somewhat surprised that him being from duscur isn't why felix hates him and is always surprised when faerghans don't hate him despite it all (supports with sylvain, ashe, and mercedes). he's clearly gentle, shown by the time he spends in the kitchen and greenhouse with materials that you cannot be rough with. he is willing to teach people (his supports with mercedes in three houses, his supports with sylvain in three houses, his supports with flayn, implied in his supports with petra in three hopes, his supports with annette in both three houses and three hopes) but he is also willing to be taught (his supports with mercedes in three hopes, implied in his supports with petra in three hopes, his supports with ashe in three hopes). he's truly such a caring person, which people always look over and neglect due to his stoicism and stern disposition. he is hesitant to talk to people, yes, but for good reason: so many people hate him just because of false information, so obviously he would rather not take the risk of someone attacking him for something he had no control over.
they are so much more than people give them credit for and it breaks my heart to see them simplified so often.

Do you dislike Cyril? :(
roflmao, I'm guessing this is in response to, this post? I was just joking about that one, lol.
I actually think Cyril's a pretty well-written character that a lot of people just stick to first impressions of. His haters really overemphasize his devotion to Rhea (tbf he talks about her a LOT) and Edelgard detractors have this weird notion that he's basically her adopted son (Rhea is pretty detached from humans and at best just seems to regard him as an especially useful loyalist).
His support chain with Lysithea is very cute, and I love the way he's blunt and uncompromising, especially with Manuela roflmao. Being one of the only people other than Hanneman to just tell her what she needs to hear for once is very refreshing.
Also he's a REALLY good unit. People need to stop meming about his personal ability and pay more attention to his excellent skill boons and the fact he gets Point-Blank Volley at C+ bows.

Hello I love your three houses takes and I would LOVE to hear about Jeritza written as transfem?? I have not looked at his writing in a While but the idea is so good, please tell me all about it
So I made a very roughshod post about this a few months ago, but I recently wrote an essay to just discuss this topic for some friends, and I figured I'd preview it here.
For starters, I’d just like to establish that a lot of these things I bring up generally aren’t going to exclusively point to the character as transfem; any one of them probably has a number of explanations you could come up with. However, I hope you can see that there are a lot of coincidences here and appreciate that my reading isn’t baseless.
Additionally, I want to clarify that I don’t see a transgender reading of Jeritza as contrasting aspects of the character such as their DID or their rejection of their childhood when they should be more accepting of it, but rather as acting in concert with it. DID is frequently, for lack of a better term, comorbid with gender dysphoria, and that sense of dissociation from one’s childhood followed by a gradual acceptance of who you once were is also an experience I’ve seen among many of my transgender friends.
That said, let’s get down to some examples, starting with Jeritza’s relationship to men. It is clear that Jeritza does not like men. The only man that Jeritza can support, between two games, is the male avatar, who has the ability to support everyone. This is a particularly obvious gap when one notes that they have no support with Hubert, who was a co-conspirator and fellow confidant to Edelgard, surely a relationship that would be ripe for drama. With women, however, Jeritza is constantly patient with them, entertaining Constance’s eccentricities, explaining themselves to Bernadetta, and letting Manuela try to teach them. I find their Manuela support particularly sweet, as it ends with Jeritza complimenting Manuela’s skill as a teacher, rather than her beauty and eligibility as a bachelorette, after having been rather quiet throughout the support. Jeritza is someone who is aware of the struggles women in Fodlan face and seems to have a much easier time connecting to them than they do with men. I’d like to contrast this with Sylvain; although their background is not identical, it’s similar, but Sylvain ended up a raging misogynist, and Jeritza ended up with a love and appreciation for women as people.
I also want to circulate back to Jeritza’s relationship to their past as Emile. The case has been made that Jeritza’s rejection of the Emile identity is a rejection of their kindness and softness, and I can appreciate the reading, but I don’t know if that’s the only possible way to read this. Notably, Jeritza’s C support with Byleth has Jeritza plainly state that they are using the Jeritza identity while at rest eating ice cream, and also plainly state that Jeritza is “myself”. We also at no point see Jeritza fall back on the Emile name in their supports with Manuela, when their B support is about Jeritza learning to present a more approachable, kindly face. The identity of Jeritza is not excluded from the sweetness of Emile; after all, the Death Knight identity is there, concentrating all that bloodlust, so it’s interesting how hard Jeritza insists they not be called their previous name.
Now, let’s get to the juiciest piece of evidence; Maria Jeritza. Names in this game are very important and very telling of the author’s intentions behind the character; look at the Galatea household, named after a story about men attempting to literally create the ideal woman, or how the houses of Liecester are named for King Lear. The name Jeritza, very clearly, comes from a woman. Specifically, an opera singer by the name of Maria Jeritza. Maria was an operetta who lived in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and a cursory glance at her Wikipedia page gives some damning evidence. For starters, her performance won her the patronage of then Emperor of Austria, a clear parallel to our Jeritza’s relationship with Edelgard, and the operas she performed in had similar themes to Jeritza’s story; Der Kuhreigen is an opera written with her in mind where she stars a woman who dies tragically in the french revolution, and Lohengrin is a story about a mysterious powerful knight hiding his identity. (My personal favorite similarity is that Maria was nicknamed “The Moravian Thunderbolt”- now what element of black magic does Jeritza learn?) The character of Jeritza being named after a woman, to me, clearly means something.
(Also this isn’t part of a larger paragraph but I’ll point out that mask tied to the Jeritza identity has bright red eyeliner)
So we have a character who is named after a woman, has a previous masculine name that they constantly reject, and has a much stronger relationship to women than to men. This is already, in my eyes, very strong evidence, but now I’m going to bring up my personal experiences with gender and having been AMAB and talk about the themes Jeritza has as a character.
Jeritza’s core theme is that of internalized monsterhood- that everything about them is Wicked and Dangerous, something that brings them great shame and drives them to isolation. That sort of feeling is not, of course, exclusive to the transgender experience, but in my case it very strongly aligns with it. I have felt, and still feel like, a sort of disgusting inhuman monster because of my body and Bad Thoughts, and so much of that is tied to the disparity between my body and how I wish to present. We even see this feeling of monsterhood is tied to Jeritza’s masculine body- namely, their resemblance to their father. In Houses, they call their own eyes “accursed” and compare them unfavorably to their mother’s and sister’s. In Hopes, they directly compare their face to their father’s and state that they have a hard time with mirrors- a symptom of both DID and gender dysphoria. That fear of hurting someone, that feeling of being unworthy to talk to the women around you, that is painfully relatable to me, and something that took me from an interest in the character to my current obsession.
And, content warning ahead, Jeritza is plainly suicidal. They talk repeatedly about both receiving recompense for their wicked deeds, and offer Byleth the chance to kill them repeatedly. Trans suicide rates are something commonly discussed, and while suicidal ideation is certainly not exclusive to trans people, there is a connection.
Jeritza, in my eyes is supremely relatable to my own transfem experience, and the number of similarities to it are hard to brush off as simply coincidence, especially in a game that has as much character work in it as Three Houses. Compare Linhardt’s clear symptoms of ADHD, Edelgard’s PTSD. The writers of this game are clearly willing to write characters who go beyond the assumed default human experience without explicitly highlighting it, and frankly, I very much suspect that someone intended for Jeritza von Hrym to be read as transgender.

Find Out Your Ceresian Senator Name!
(made with love, the d20 gang put a lot of work into diversifying character names, & as I was doing my etymology post I noticed similarities but no clear formula so I thought I’d write one for funsies)
First Name: The first letter of the street you grew up on (if you didn’t grow up on a street feel free to use a town/city name, or a landmark!).
I included alternates for gender reasons - a/o means the name can end with either a or o depending on your preference, e.g. Emilio vs Emilia. You can probably also throw an -e at the end of some of them if (like me) you wanna be a bit nonbinary about it.
A - Aurelius (Adria, Andrea) B - Bianca (Bacchus, Basilla) C - Cara (Cassius, Camila/o) D - Dominic (Donatella/o, Daniela) E - Emanuel (Emanuela, Emilia/o,  Eduardo) F - Francisco (Fabrizia/o, Fiero) G - Giuseppe (Graciela, Gio) H - Hercules (Hero, Hermes) I - Ignazia/o (Imelda, Isabella) J - Jupiter (Jiovanni, Juno) K - Katarina (Kronos, Celeste) L - Lorenzo (Luca, Loretta) M - Marco (Messina, Manuela) N - Nunzio (Natalia, Nico) O - Oliverio (Ouranos, Roberta/o) P - Patrizia/o (Paula/o, Pallas) Q - Quirinus (Pietro, Ricarda/o) R - Rizzo (Rafaela/Rafael, Renata) S - Silvio (Sabina/e, Serafina/o) T - Titian (Tullia/o, Terra) U - Ulysses (Urania/Uranus, Rosetta) V - Valentina/o (Venus, Vesta, Vesuvio) W - Luigi (Mario, Rosalina) X - Xanto (Romeo, Diana, Apollo) Y - Ylenia (Saturn/Saturnus, Minerva) Z - Zappa (Mars, Melete, Diana)
Last name: The last letter of your favorite food
A - Bucatini B - Capellini C - Bavette D - Matriciani E - Pappardelle F - Scialatelli G - Spaghettini H - Tagliatelle I - Trenetti J - Vermicelli K - Anelli L - Cascatelli M - Castellane N - Cavatappi O - Farfalle P - Garganelli   Q - Passatelli R - Paccheri S - Rigatoni T - Strozzapretti U - Testaroli V - Cannelloni   W - Agnolini X - Cappaletti Y - Fagottini Z - Sacchettoni
Voila! Now just put “Senator” (or another Roman govt position if you want) in front of it. I’m Senator Andrea Trenetti!
I also did some optional funsies for those of us with dice we never get to use:
Roll 1d20

If it lands on a 1, you are straight up a loaf of bread. use the Bread Table under the cut

If it lands on a 2-10, you are a pasta dish. Use the last name chart for your first name, and use the Pasta Dish Table under the cut for your last
If you roll a nat 20, you are may choose b/w
a popular snack food. Use the Snack Table under the cut
.
you can also use the first name chart and use the snack table for your last name if you want
a Ceresian folk deity. not a senator anymore, but arguably funnier. Use the Deity Table under the cut
otherwise, use tables above as normal.

In The Ravening War, all of the senators also got “tribune” titles like “Tribune of Triscutia” - if you want one of those, you can either:
Use the last name table but use first letter of your favorite food
Use either the Bread, Pasta Dish, or Snack table under the cut
Bread Table
Roll 1d12 or use your birth month
1. Panettone (you have a little Candian on your mother’s side of the family) 2. Muffuletta 3. Pane rustico 4. Panino 5. Pita 6. Tortano 7. Baguette 8. Ciambella 9. Fugassa 10. Friselle 11. Crescentina 12. Boule
Pasta Dish Table
Roll 1d20 or how many mozzarella sticks do you think you could eat in one sitting? (if you can’t eat mozzarella sticks imagine carrot sticks instead)

Fire Emblem Three Houses meta: Ferdinand's poetry
I do call myself Poetry here and on AO3 for a reason, which is that I love poetry and I'm a huge nerd about it. So when I watched Ferdinand's C support with Manuela in the FE3H let's play I'm following, I was really excited that I got to read a poem by one of my beloved characters. At first, I thought the poem was just a bit lovesick and silly. But when I really sat down with Ferdinand's poem to analyze it, I became really impressed with its sophistication and structure.
First, A Poetry Lesson
A little bit about poetry terms. A poem has meter if it has a pattern of stressed and unstressed syllables. I will demonstrate with lines from the poem "The Eagle" by Alfred Lord Tennyson. I will highlight the stressed syllables with bold italics.
The wrinkled sea beneath him crawls;
He watches from his mountain walls
Poems with meter can be divided into metrical feet. Feet are patterns of stressed and unstressed syllables. The lines from "The Eagle" above are composed of the most common type of metrical foot in English poetry: the iamb, which is made of two syllables: unstressed-stressed. Each line in "The Eagle" above is composed of four iambs. You can also have multiple types of feet in one line, as in these two lines from "The Eagle", which I've marked with | vertical lines | between feet:
| Close to the sun | in lone | ly lands, |
| Ring'd with the az | ure world, | he stands. |
Each of these lines has a choriamb (stressed-unstressed-unstressed-stressed) followed by two iambs.
Ferdie's Poem
Now for our dear Ferdinand's poem for Manuela. Here is the first version he recites for her. I will mark stressed syllables with bold italics and divide feet with | vertical lines |, as above.
| My princess | is lovely, | my princess | is fair |
| She sings like | cicadas | in midsum | er's air |
Each of these lines is composed of four metrical feet: three amphibrachs (unstressed-stressed-unstressed) followed by one iamb (unstressed-stressed). This really caught my attention because amphibrachic poetry is uncommon in English. It's much more common in Polish, Russian, and the Slavic languages, so in English it really stands out.
The other really cool thing is that when Manuela critiques Ferdie's poem, he immediately and effortlessly swaps out one of the amphibrachs for a different amphibrach that fits the line perfectly:
| My princess | is lovely, | my princess | is fair |
| She sings like | a swallow | in midsum | er's air |
Contrast all of this with Lorenz's poem in his C support with Manuela:
Verdant rains soothe
My aching heart like a cherished friend
Amid time's flow I mourn
Bonds I'm not sure I can ever rend
As my mind clings to desperate thoughts
Here it comes, Horsebow Moon and summer's end
I didn't put any markers on this poem because it isn't metrical; there's no pattern here of syllables and stresses. It has a ABCBDB rhyme scheme (every other line rhymes) but otherwise has no structure.
On a Watsonian (in-universe) level I have to admit I'm very impressed with Ferdinand's poetry skills. On a Doylist (out-of-universe) level, I'm very impressed with the translation team, and I'm now very curious about what these poems are like in the original Japanese.

Christa Winsloe's Sylvia und Sybille: from unpunished play to a stage play in 2023
A. FOUND & SHARED by the great researcher of Chris(ta), Doris Hermanns.
B. LINK: https://nachtkritik. de/nachtkritiken/deutschland/sachsen/dresden/staatsschauspiel-dresden/sylvia-und-sybille-staatsschauspiel-dresden-daniela-loeffner-inszeniert-christa-winsloes-selten-gespieltesstueck?fbclid=IwAR1GZp4CINQwlMlct25oxXkT6Bw46FNsbACWeRqCVVsMNcmhBNisvs2hhk4    (DELETE SPACE)
C. ABOUT THE LINK.  The site describes the stage play & that some part is much shorter than in the text version. (If you don't read in German, use Google Chrome page translation (just open the link above and search for translation in the browser's menu.))
D. NEEDED INFORMATION WAS . . . Personal interest was in the summary of the original version, and one PDF has short & needed information. Search for "Sylvia und Sybille" PDF (it should be the first result& in desktop browser just click at the title (the one from the site lesbengeschichte and a "note" will be shown to download PDF.)
E. SHORT DESCRIPTION OF A WRITTEN PLAY.          "In her unpublished play Sylvia und Sybille, situated in 1931, lesbianism is the explicit theme. Sylvia, a 16 year old daughter of a widowed colonel falls in love with Sybille, the young and beautiful mother of a friend. Sybille answers Sylvia’s love but ends the relation in the last second fearing social ostracism and the loss of her son."
F. SOURCE OF THE DESCRIPTION. Lesbengeschichte de Written by Claudia Schoppmann, translated by Dagmar Heymann \\ The text is from 2005! (full 5 pages with information about Chris and about her unpublished novels\plays. Mädchen in Uniform (1931) couldn't even be found in full with watchable quality, but a person conducted a research?! *hats off*
G. HIDDEN MEANING: In short, no spoilers from MiU's book Das Mädchen Manuela, knows as The Child Manuela (only hints for those who knows), it's related to chapter 4 when Manuela was invited to a Christmas concert (of sorts) by a boy.
H. WISHFUL THINKING. Personally, I thought about "what if more happened" (related to somebody & Manuela up to events before the boarding school Stift. Chris a.k.a. Manuela "Lela" in the book turned 13 or 14 (December, 23) around the time of the concert of sorts. In the play, however, "Lela" (Sylvia) is 16. (MiU has information from Manuela that she's 14 and a half on the first day. (Frl. von Kesten, ~ "You look old for 14" \ Manuela v. M., "I'm 14 and a half.") In reality, no, as it would be May-June, (nearly) the end of school year.)
I. CHRIS THE WITCH. By the way, the end of the description of the play is as if partly changed, but very similar end of one wonderful Dutch film. It's as if Chris predicted the film (that has no age difference, actually, despite actresses don't look like exact same age.) Surely, it would be one of Chris' favourite films :D (Another similarity of the post's poster & Chris :D, the predictions one was found earlier in relation to Chris' number at school in book version was 55 & it's how long Chris lived = a separate post.)

I don’t think I’ve ever drawn Manuela on her own outside of like the occasional comic/shitpost (that I never posted) so this is a new experience for me! Decided she needed a little bit of love after so long of drawing the same dudes over and over
I wish she was a recruitable unit in routes outside Scarlet Blaze in Three Hopes :C

Something I find hilarious in Three Houses is the way the school setting clashes with the “getting these students prepared for war”-aspect. I mean, just look at Seteth’s C-support with Manuela.
Tumblr media
In any school, I would agree with Seteth’s point about Manuela being the one who is responsible for the students. But in the context of the story, this is unintentionally hilarious. Seteth, what do you mean ”tasked with the supervision of children”? Just last week, you and Rhea sent the children into what you yourself described as an unpredictable war zone, and you let them go with only their new professor who you know does not really know anything about the church! After that, I don’t think that you can argue that the children need a responsible adult to supervise them without sounding a bit hypocritical.
