Hey I got an idea for domestic Hotch. Like this weekend it's Easter and there's this German tradition (osterstrauch or ostereierbaum) basically decorating branches with eggs.

But like in my family we use wooden decorations in different forms, so like bunnies, birds and of course eggs.

So what about the Hotch family together decorating the branches and just cute easter stuff <3

that’s so cute!!!! we don’t have any traditions as cute as that!!!

since your daughter is a little older now, aaron’s much more interested in the tradition.

he’s got a three year old olive on one hip and his free hand holding jack’s who’s holding the basket.

“mama’s staying to make the cake?” your daughter asks and aaron nods.

“yeah, she’s making your favourite!”

olive squeals and jack laughs, shaking his head at how excited his sister was over carrot cake.

“and we eat after decortating?” she asks and aaron nuzzles his nose into her cheeks.

“decorating, ol;” she tests the word on his tongue and still trips up a little. “yeah, we’re gonna hang the birdies, and the bunnies and all the eggs on the tree.”

jack nods and adds, “so the easter bunny can drop chocolates for us on sunday.”

that makes decorating go much faster, especially when olive makes up a song about hanging bunnies and eating chocolates.

you sneak a couple pictures of the three of them out at your large oak trees and some of the fruit ones for your scrapbook.

there’s a shout and a squeal and you catch aaron falling to the ground dramatically while ollie and jack run away with the basket of bunnies, “mama! help us, daddy’s stopping us from leaving a trail for the easter bunny!”

how can you deny their pleas.

kinda like all their friends only like the good cookies but they like the evil ones and they end up in a game ( the evil cookies had heard what the reader said ) and then all of sudden they raid the kingdom with the baker who's on the side of the evil cookies? ( the reader is still a child so their kind of learning how to be evil or something? )

After an hour or so, I got off the game to take a break. I decided to go play with my dog, we went outside to play fetch. After some time i wasnt feeling well and decided to go back inside for a nap. You layed on the couch with your dog and fell asleep, then woke up in a whole new world.

“Alright, settle down kids, we need to form a plan to get baker.” Dark enchantress said. “ Baker is staying in the Palace, its always guarded inside and out, all hours of the day. Luckily I was able to make, lets say, a deal with affogato to let us in. We wont have much time, some will go after guards others will go in the Palace. We leave tonight, go get ready and meet in an hour.

The cookies of darkness and just outside of the kingdom gates. The look for the roads to be clear, then swiftly enter. They make there way to the Palace. They stay just out of sight of the guards.

“Alright, dark enchantress said dark choco, red velvet, and poison mushroom stay and distract the guards. Afogato is waiting for me and licorice on the side door.” Pomegranate explained.

Everyone hummed and got moving.

Pomegranate and licorice made it inside.

“Today, theres a small guards get together near the kitchen. I was able to keep bakers door unlocked. So, the upstairs should be clear, but dont make to much noise. All the ancients stayed in their bedroom, so dont get caught. Your escape route will come to you. Now go.” Affogato whispered.

Licorice and pomegranate went up the stairs, it was easy to find your room. The door is the biggest and decortated with your favorite things. They opened the door, and saw you and your dog asleep.

“Alright I’ll get baker-” Pomegranate started.

“What! I should get them!” Licorice began to yell.

Then they heard shuffling in the room next door.

“You complete idiot, one of the ancients heard us! how are we gonna get out of this!”Pomegranate whisper yelled.

“Through the secret door in my closet.” You startled them, they thought you were asleep. “The door is an escape route for emergencies, come on.” You walked to the closet and pulled all the clothes that are in the way to the floor, then opened the back of the closet open and walked in with your dog. The cookies followed close behind while being confused why your helping them.

You all ended up out the palace, there are no guard around.

“Alrighty, lets go to the tower of chaos!” You giggled.

You all made it to the tower of chaos, waiting for dark enchantress to show up from what ever she was doing.

“Ah, great, your have them.” Dark enchantress walked in.

Then, you ran and jumped into her arms.

“You’re home now dear.”She holds you tight.

“Ummm whats going on?” licorice asked with a look of pure shock and confusion.

“Oh, I havent told you, have I? Well, baker, affogato, and I have been planning to take them from that kingdom for a while. Baker would rather be here with us.”

a/n: a surprise party for Chan goes a bit wrong

“that is possibly the worst idea I’ve ever heard” Han scoffed at the brunette hiding next to him. 

“You know what’s funny,” he retorted. “We’re usually the ones saying that about your ideas.” 

The blonde behind both of them smacked them gently behind the head. “This is no time for your brokering. Ang’s idea is good enough.” 

There’s an 8/10 chance Chan will fall for the bait but it’s a big enough chance. It was the eldest birthday a week ago and everyone agreed to act as if they had forgotten. Chan being who he is never brought it up. Everyone expected this. What they didn’t expect is exactly how much it hurt him. 

Everything went on day by day. They had planned a surprise party exactly one week after his birthday when their schedule was finally empty. But the morning of the party, Chan was supposed to go to the gym at 5, which would give everyone enough time to set everything up at his house. Although he did walk outside, he only made it to his car when he turned back around and laid himself on his couch and played Lilo and Stich. 

Han, Hyunjin, and Lino were already inside with a couple of the decorations but quickly hide behind the kitchen counter when they heard his voice trying to unlock the front door. 

They slowly shuffled to the table during the shooting scenes in case Chan got hungry. For a few minutes, it was quiet and then they heard muffled cries. Hyunjin quietly rose but could only see part of the screen. Lilo had just thrown her doll to the floor and quickly ran back to hold it. Did he feel as lonely as her? 

They all looked at eachother with the same expressions. Though they meant well, they had fucked up. The plan now was to have Felix call Chan and ask him to come each with him. They quickly sent Yongbok a text and told them to add that he felt sad. Because though it pained them to know it, Chan would push everything away for them. 

After a few mintues, the man turned off the television and wipped his tears. Before walking out he made sure to have complelety stop crying. 

The 3 sighed in relief and got to work decorting again. Hyunjin sent a text to Hannah about when they would video call. Han gave changbin and I.N the text to start brining the rest in, including the cake Yongbok had made.

Every 20 mintues they would get a text from felix letting them know how heartbreaking it was to tell Chan he didn't really feel like talking. 

 Lee Know was in the kitchen finishing up a meal and quickly 2 hours passed when Felix messaged them saying that they were coming back. 

When they walked through the door and everyone yelled 'happy birthday' , including his parents and siblings on the televsion screen, the man fell to his knees and began crying. they all went to hug their leader and let him take his time. They apologized multiple times and explained that they wanted to wait for a rest day so they could fully enjoy the day and him being born. 

He didn't stop crying until it was time for the gifts and even then he would start sobbing. Part of him hated himself for ever thinking they didn't care but the other part was just so convincing the past week that he felt so much relief that they were all here now. 

Lee Know's gift was his favorite. He had given him a bunny. Not one he can have in his room but donated money in Chan's name to a bunny tertiary. Chan got to them it and he wrote Stich. and like the bunny and the character, he thought about how they all have a home in the end. And it might not be perfect but it's still good.

You had just started dating Riven, the two of you had been close for a while but had only officially gotten together about a month ago, you didn’t know if he rememberd or had anything planned for today but you secretly hoped he had.

After getting of the phone with your family who called to congratulate you, you got ready. You had decided on an outfit that was a little nicer than usual, just as a little extra. After curling your hair, you felt ready to face the day, you were excited to have your birthday on a saturday because you didn’t have any classes today.

He had planned to make it up to her though, he had gotten her a necklace with a little heart charm. The charm had their initials in it, a little cheesy but he couldn’t help it. She made him want to do all the romantic cheesy things that he used to hate, he really had a soft spot for her and he hoped that she wasn’t too upset about his distant behaviour.

You had a great day so far, Stella treated you to a nice lunch and you went shopping with Terra afterwards. Everyone had been so lovely but it still felt strange to you that Riven hadn’t said anything, not even a simple happy birthday. Even Sky had congratulated you when he ran into you after your shopping spree, you felt a little sad that your boyfriend forgot about it, but the girls had been so great that you couldn’t really dwell on it.

You returned back to your room ‘’Hey y/n’’ Riven was sitting on your bed. He scared the living shit out of you ‘’Riven! Jesus christ you scared me’’ Riven laughed and you joined him on the bed ‘’What are you doing here?’’ Riven took your hand and interlocked your fingers ‘’I wanted to wish you a happy birthday’’ you smiled ‘’You remembered?’’ He nodded ‘’Of course I did! I’m sorry I didn’t say anything earlier, it’s just that I don’t want the guys to see me all mushy around you’’ you laughed ‘’you are an idiot’’ he laughed with you ‘’I’m your idiot’’ he grinned and you shook your head laughing ‘’that you are’’ he gave you a quick peck and you leaned against him.

‘‘That is not all love’‘ He gave you kiss on your head before you looked up at him ‘‘What do you mean?’‘ Riven grabbed a box from behind his back ‘‘I got you something’‘ Your eyes went big ‘‘Riv, you shouldn’t have’‘ you smiled and took the box in your hands ‘‘You deserve it, I hope you like it though’‘ You were actually surprised, you thought he had forgotten about your birthday and now it turned out he remembered and even got you a gift. You opened the box and gasped, inside was the most beautiful necklace you had ever seen. It was a beautiful silver necklace with a heart charm and upon closer look you noticed it had your initials engraved.

‘‘Riven this is gorgeous! Thank you so much’‘ you pulled him in to a big hug, he was such a sweetheart. He acted like this tough asshole but underneath was a really sweet and thoughtful guy. Riven smiled at you ‘‘I’m glad you like it, do you want me to put it on you?’‘ You nodded as Riven took the necklace and put it on you. i keep changing my study location but here is my set up on my dining table. I’ve started studying here with my sister. (she made the cake that’s in the background)

i’m finally starting @myhoneststudyblr​ winter challenge so here is my catch up post. find the questions and answers under the cut!

1st December - Do you like winter?

I absolutely love winters. It’s my favourite season!

2nd December - What is your favourite thing about winter?

The oversized sweaters and staying indoors

3rd December - What is your least favourite thing about winter?

Travelling becomes really hard. Waking up and going to school at 6 in the morning used to be painful since it was so cold. I haven’t faced this issue considering my entire school year was online, but the walk to the bus stop in the cold wind has tramustised me forever.

4th December - What is an unpopular opinion that you have about winter? 

i don’t know actually, maybe i’ll come back and asnwer this.

5th December - Are you usually busy during winter?

Always. I’m in my final year of school and we’re having mock exams in Jan. My winter break is a prep leave in disguise. We haven’t had a proper winter break since the 9th grade. 

6th December - Do you get a break from school/uni/work during winter?

Not at all, as kids we were given lots of homework (i always did in the last few days though) and now i study for my exams which start from 5th Jan.

7th December - How do you stay motivated during winter?

I stay away from my bed. Once i’m in my bed then i know i won’t do anything else. i’ve started mapping out my work to make sure i know what i need to do when. Having structure really helps. 

8th December - When should people start preparing for, decorating and celebrating Christmas? 

Whenever they feel like!! People have very diffferent schedules and only have certain days where they have enough time. So preparing and decorting should take place when one knows they’ll enjoy as well. 

9th December - What do you usually do during the holidays?

I normally sleep when i have days off. I like watching kdramas and catching up on NCT’s never ending content. I’m trying to learn christmas songs but can’t seem to find sheet music for it. 

10th December - What is a cherished family tradition from your childhood?

We don’t have any traditions per say but we’ve always spent christmas with someone. We watch christmas related movies and have dinner.
