First time camping near our new house. This campground was small and fairly quiet. We were able to have a campfire; a first in a long while due to the dry conditions and wildfire danger. As soon as Ivan realized there was a creek near our campsite, all he wanted to do was wade in it and find sticks to put in the water/fetch out of the water. Every time I would take him off his tie out and leash him up for a potty break he would try to take me to the creek. He doesn't seem to enjoy camping much unless we are going for a walk or playing in the creek, otherwise he just sulks in his crate, or watches/listens to the other campers going to the creek and has FOMO that someone is splashing in the water that isn't him.

Unfortunately not a lot of options for walking here. Really the only option is walking on the road, which is luckily very lightly trafficked... But also very narrow and not much room to move off the road if a car is coming. On yesterday's 20 minute walk we only saw 3 cars on the road in either direction so it was doable. It would be fun to walk along the creek bed together but I didn't bring the right shoes for that. Next time!
