Is this a very crappy fanart of Casey Gardner? Well yes, it is. Did I try out a new art style again? Of course. Do I look like I freaking care? No, not at all.

SNL Adventure! 11/4/17 Larry David/Miley Cyrus
Yup I did standby again for SNL! My back hurts and I kind of lost my voice but that’s okayyyyyyy! This will probably be my longest SNL post ever bc I got to meet 14 people! Some of the pics are a little blurry bc I was too excited and my hands shake a lot (also i look like trash and i have fucked up teeth rip me please don’t judge too harshly 🙃)
First that came out was Kate! She hasn’t been stopping for fans a lot this season BUT she stopped this time bc @wooden-swings-and-diet-coke and @ohippiegay made an AMAZING quilt for her!!! (btw it was really great to meet y’all!!) Everyone wanted to meet Kate and she said, “I’m so sorry! I- I have special guests!” I felt kind of bad but she stopped real quick for a pic with me and @blazermckinnon!
Tumblr media
Melissa came out next!!!! I mentioned this last week, but I briefly chatted with her on her art insta (melissavart) and I just really love that she takes time to talk to her fans and she’s so supportive and told me my art is beautiful 💕 I wanted to draw something for her to show that I really appreciate her kindness so I made stipple portrait of her cat Ella! She seemed to really like it!! She said, “Ella’s going to love it!” Then she safely tucked it into her bag asdfghjkl
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Okay so this next part got me shook. Aidy came out and everyone cheered and it went something like, “Aidyyyyyy!! wait what wAIT VANESSA!!!!!!!!!!” YEAH SO PRECIOUS BB VANESSA BAYER WAS THERE I LOVE HER SM ASDFJLGKA
Anddddddd Katie Dippold came out with them! Katie co-wrote Ghostbusters with Paul Feig! She also played the real estate agent that shows them the firehouse
Tumblr media
She’s also the girl that dressed up for her friend’s halloween party when no one else dressed up
Tumblr media
So yeah 3 people I admire came out at the same time! I called out Katie’s name because I’ve wanted to meet her but never thought that I would! She looked REALLY confused when I called her name lol she probably didn’t expect anyone to recognize her
me: KATIE! kd: *stops and turns* ????????? (probably thinking “me???”) me: Yeah! Ghostbusters! kd: !!! Yeah! me: Yeah!!!! Can I get a picture with you? Sorry, I just really love Ghostbusters!
Tumblr media
Aidy was very sweet as usual! Vanessa was taking pictures with some people but left before I could ask for a pic lol BUT SHE LOOKED AMAZING AND BEAUTIFUL AND I MISS HER
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Finally got a picture with Heidi!!! She made me laugh a lot as Angel and I’m glad that she’s getting screen time! My first picture with her was super blurry so later when she was waiting for a car I asked if she could take another one. After the picture she asked me if it was clear or if I needed to take another one and it was a little blurry but I felt guilty for asking her to take another so I told her it was clear and thanked her lol
Tumblr media
Mikey likes to make faces and hand signs in pics lol he was making a weird hand gesture in our group pic and I asked him what it meant and he said, “I’m sorry, I was trying to do the west side sign. Ah I’ll try one without it.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
SO I FINALLY GOT A PICTURE WITH BECK AND KYLE IDK WHY IT TOOK 5 TRIES BUT WOW IM HAPPY also I didn’t print out the album cover bc I didn’t have time but I might try and give it to them in 2 weeks
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chris is so fucking hilarious I’m so glad that he’s getting so much screen time!!! Someone said, “No wet diapers!” (ref to the baby steps sketch) and it made him laugh 😂 also I want to point out that he was laughing right before I took the pic and then immediately switched to this face:
Tumblr media
it’s blurry bc I’m laughing rip i tried
Met Luke! He’s really friendly! He took his time to talk to every single person there and was making silly faces in all the pics
Tumblr media
Alex came out with his fiancée asdfgjklaas they’re so cute together!!! They kissed and she was about to leave to find a car but then he pulled her back to kiss her again it was really cute ❤️ @blazermckinnon told him that she loved him as Eric. I made a comment about the fun dip and I think he laughed and said it was tasty lol
Tumblr media
Beautiful talented amazing goddess Cecily Strong came out and I’m pretty sure her feet were hurting in her high heels lolol “Sorry, I’m hobbling!” I asked her to sign my wristband and she held my hand and signed it asfdghjk She asked @blazermckinnon what she was going to do with the wristband and I joked, “Frame it!” Then Cecily said something like, “And then you’re going to move and throw it out!” LOL never! I have the grid on my phone’s camera on and she noticed it and said, “She’s got a grid on her camera! I gotta get an app like that!” precious bb 💕
Tumblr media
I was about to leave, but Higgins came out and then I was too paranoid to leave LOL
Tumblr media
Okay so I almost met Colin my very first time at SNL smh I left at like 3am and he came out 2 minutes after I left 🙃🙃🙃 and he didn’t come to my side the second time and the third time he didn’t come out at all bc he was with scarlett and I’ve been bitter ever since BUT FINALLY MET HIM ONLY TOOK 5 TRIES He was in a rush so the pic is a little blurry but also I was just shook bc he was moving so quickly he was in my face at one point and also his cologne is really strong???? but it smells nice so whatever ALSOOO he didn’t really do it in my pic but I noticed that he made a face in a lot of fan pics that was basically “the smolder” from tangled
Tumblr media
At one point Leslie came out and she looked exhausted so I didn’t want to bother her. Pete also came out with Cazzie David! PETE NEVER COMES OUT He stopped for a few people and then left. I’m kind of disappointed that I didn’t get a picture with him but owell it’s okay!

Today is the 2019 NBA Lottery!🤞🏻 The 1st NBA Lottery was held in 1985 with the Knicks winning it, they selected Georgetown center The Beast of the East, Hoya Destroya Patrick Ewing my favorite Knick of all time. That was the only lottery win for New York, from 1947 to 1965 the NBA draft process was territorial and NY had 2 number 1 overall picks in 1963 and 1964 (Art Heyman and Jim Barnes), from 1966 to 1984 however the draft system was changed into a coin flip between the worse team in each conference, the Knicks seleted Cazzie Russell as the number 1 pick in 1966, they won't have the number 1 pick overall again until 1985 when the NBA once again changed the draft system into the Lottery system, The Knicks and their fans are hoping today we will get our second Lottery win though this year the team with the worse record only have a 14% chance compared to previous years when the worse team gets 25% chance. GO NY GO NY GO! #NBA #NBALottery #NBADraft #PatrickEwing #Knicks #NYK #NewYork #NYC #NewYorksBiggestThrill #MadisonSquareGarden #NewYorkKnicks #Knickerbockers #NewEra #NewEraCap #Starter #StarterJacket #Stance #UCCGPH #Georgetown #Duke #zionwilliamson https://www.instagram.com/p/BxcR1BKFR2K/?igshid=1btnwsefqnm5j

CONCERT REVIEW: MARIANAS TRENCH W/ ELIJAH WOODS X JAMIE FINE AT THE ORPHEUM - MARCH 29TH, 2019
Tumblr media
As lead singer Josh Ramsay mentioned during Marianas Trench’s set, the Orpheum is one of the most beautiful venues in the country. It was thrilling to see the band bring their Suspending Gravity tour there on Friday, March 29th, in support of their new album Phantoms. This hometown show was the final date of the Canadian leg of the tour.
Opening up the evening was Ottawa-based duo Elijah Woods x Jamie Fine. They told us this was their fifteenth and final show with Marianas Trench, and were extremely happy to have been along across the country. The two shared vocal duties, Elijah also played the keyboards, and the group had a backing guitarist and drummer. The band brought a lot of passion and energy within themselves and the audience, radiating a stage presence throughout the venue; there was lots of clapping, dancing, cheering, and fun. They spoke to the audience a lot, with very genuine excitement and delight at being there tonight. The two danced a lot throughout, with Jamie swinging the mic stand around as she stormed the entire stage towards the end.
The group played most of the songs from their EP 8:47, including hits like “Ain’t Easy” and “Love Strong.” They really got the hype going when Jamie launched into a cover of Kanye’s “Gold Digger” about halfway through, after telling us about a relationship that went sour. (“F*** her!” Jamie exclaimed.) They finished the set with a rendition of Aerosmith’s “Dream On,” bringing the energy surging in the room to an exciting climax. Not many bands have the musical range to cover Kanye West and Aerosmith in the same set, but their rock-pop beats are just the right combination that it worked amazingly.
Tumblr media
Marianas Trench began their set with an ominous, horror-style video describing the mythology of their latest album. They opened the set with the eerie “Eleonora,” which also opens Phantoms. Sadly, they did not play anything from their 2006 debut album Fix Me. I was hoping to at least hear the rather explicit but upbeat “Shaketramp,” as they’ve played it at other Vancouver shows in the past. Now on their fifth studio album in 18 years, the setlist did still consist of hits from all of their eras. It was especially nice to hear “Pop 101” and “Here’s to the Zeros,” which are both non-album singles.
During “Pop 101” and continuing throughout “Haven’t Had Enough,” Josh walked through most of the crowd. He didn’t just do the front and floor area – he went all around the Orpheum, into the upper sections. This was a real delight for the screaming crowd, with abundant selfies and waving hands everywhere.
The visuals were absolutely beautiful, and more than I expected and have seen from the band in past shows. There were videos and montages featuring the ghostly “Eleonora,” alongside voiceovers of Josh’s poetry further exploring the narrative. But alongside other songs were gorgeous projections of things like cosmic galaxies and a nuclear explosion going off. It was like something from a David Lynch movie. Towards the very end, they had an actual Eleonora on stage – a darkly veiled spectral figure following Josh as he sang. It was genuinely frightening and interesting, definitely enhancing the storyline of the Suspending Gravity tour. Marianas Trench always incorporate certain themes and imagery for each of their tours, and the Phantoms era was the most memorable yet.
Tumblr media
Josh spoke to the audience a lot about the show and the tour. He told us “We just released an album a month ago, and went on tour two days later.” He was so thrilled at how well the tour had gone and the fans who learned the music so fast. He gave acknowledgements to everyone who helped make the show happen, bringing backing touring instrumentalist Royce Whittaker to the front and especially calling him out for his work. It takes a lot of people working behind the scenes to make concerts happen, and it’s really nice to see them thanked on stage.
Thirteen years after their debut, Marianas Trench remain one of the biggest, best, and most fun Vancouver bands around. As Friday showed, they remain committed and talented in the music, performance, and art with every tour and concert. It’s never been a better time to be a Marianas Trench fan.
