I wanna complain a lil bit about Al's characterization so far--I feel like whoever's writing for him is making him too snarky and mean. His charm was always the off-puttingness in his geniality and showmanship. When you take that away and just make him icy and passive-aggressive, it kinda kills his vibe. it made him more interesting and layered when he only acted that way if he got really pissed. He's not just an asshole all the time for no reason. He's a wild card! his unpredictability was part of his appeal, for fuck's sake! also, I liked his song with Vox, but the lyrics were pissing me off bc like... come on now... my man doesn't know what a podcast is!!! he dosn't know what "clout-chaser" means!! and he would never EVER in a million YEARS say "that's the tea!!!!!!" like it's funny, but it's not HIM.

All of this. God, what I wouldn't give for the Alastor who struck up a jazz number, danced with Charlie and called her "kid", and the fandom kids got confused and called Charlastor pedophilia and didn't realize it's old timey slang for a woman.

Aroace Alastor

Hoo boy here we go- This one might make some people mad at me, so I'll preface by saying I do not want to start a fight and as long as you respect my business, I'll respect yours. But let's get this over with-

First off, I genuinely don't understand how some people can see the Ace-In-The-Hole quote and still believe that Alastor is only intended to be asexual and not also aromantic. Yes, the term Rosie used for purpose of the pun was 'ace', but can we look at the context of that moment before jumping to conclusions?

Rosie, motioning to Charlie: "Oh, who's this you brought with you? Come now, Alastor, she's much too young for you! Oh, I'm just kidding. I know you're an ace in the hole!"

Her original statement implies nothing sexual, only that he's involved in a relationship with Charlie, and she follows it up with why she knows that couldn't be because he's an 'ace in the hole'. I don't think you have to read too far between the lines to see that.

I would also like to say that when Vivienne has spoken about his orientation before, I recall her saying that she didn't want to confirm him being aromantic so that she wouldn't 'ruin anyone's fun', which I just feel like is an odd thing to say if she wasn't already explicitly picturing him as aroace. If she thought he had romantic attraction, why wouldn't she just say that? What fun would that ruin? I also feel like keeping things like this ambiguous just to appease the shippers is a little weird, but I digress-

And to those of you who I know are saying "But aromantic people can be in relationships too!!" *deep inhale* yeah I know. I'm not gonna pretend you're not right about that, but there are also aroace people who have exactly 0 interest in romance or sex at all. This is the part of the post that really is based on how I interpret certain moments, but to me he is absolutely one of those people. I don't really know where people get any vibes of him being interested in that stuff. I have never once looked at him and thought "Yeah I could see him in a romantic relationship with *insert character here*". Even aside from attraction in general, since that's what we'd be talking about at this point anyway, he just seems like the kind of guy who'd rather work and live independently instead of relying on anyone, whether practically or emotionally (which is also probably part of the reason he never joined the Vees, but that's another topic entirely). Hell, I'm pretty sure he's in heavy denial about even developing any kind of care or friendship with the people at the hotel (ie. the episode 8 scene with him and Niffty).

The only ships I see him involved in with people he doesn't hate (so ignoring RadioApple, RadioHusk, and StaticRadio. But to be real, maybe the fact all his main ships are enemies to lovers coded says something about the whole situation, but that's just me-) are Charlastor - which I will not even try to discuss here, people aren't gonna like this post as it is - and RadioRose. Rosie and him would at least be fair, if it weren't for one thing (which is also personal opinion on my end), and I don't know exactly how to word it. I'm tempted to say she has wingwoman vibes? But she knows he's aro, so that's not the right word, but there's vibes of like, she probably did act as a wingwoman before she realized that about him or something.. There's also something about her joking around like "Oh this is the girl? You have a girlfriend and I'm only now meeting her?" is almost giving motherly behavior. Idk man they're just besties to me, I could see them in a QPR though (not that they'd probably label it that way, considering the word queerplatonic is likely just complete gibberish to Alastor lmao).

So to summarize: It feels incredibly likely, if not practically canon, that Alastor was written with aromanticism in mind, even if Vivienne refuses to explicitly state it. Subtext and not-that-subtle implications can say just as much about a character as word of God, especially when that God has explicitly told us why she won't confirm or deny this information. Do I think any of this will stop people from shipping him romantically with literally any other character? No ofc it won't, and that's okay, that's just what fandoms do. I do think there's something to say for the fact the one aroace (or even at the very least asexual) character gets constantly shipped with everyone else in the cast, but this post is long enough I think. The only point of posting this is that I wanted to get information out there in one post to say "Hey, let's look a little bit past the surface for a second before saying there's no proof of him being aromantic"

charlastor/radiobelle has the benefit of relating to a lot of tropes and aesthetics in media that i already really enjoy and have a lot of content for. that being said, the songs ive chosen for them relate more to the pilot versions of these two characters, where it was speculated that alastor was going to be more of a mysterious, unflappable background mentor figure. ive heard their relationship being compared to that of clarice starling and hannibal lecter from silence of the lambs and hannibal, and i think some of that can vibe definitely be used here.

the first song that ever came to mind for these two (in recent memory) was a dangerous game from the jekyll and hyde musical (sung by anthony warlow and linda eder).

at the touch of your hand, and the sound of your voice, at the moment your eyes meet mine - i am out of my mind, i am out of control, full of feelings i cant define.

its a sin with no name, like a tiger to tame, (and though no-ones to blame) its a crime and a shame, and the angels proclaim its a dangerous game.

im a bit of a sucker for melodramatic gothic musicals, and the vision this song brings to mind is charlie wandering the empty halls of her dilapidated hotel and cautiously dancing with alastor and his army of half-sentient shadows. it relates to charlies pov more than alastors (as in this case he would be singing about her) and how they would have to tread carefully no matter what kind of close relationship they choose to partake in.

next up is me and mr wolf (the real tuesday weld).

you have the thing i love but the fear in me is way too much. if i open wide one of us may get lost inside. me or you, one of us is going to need to die.

my favourite version of this relationship is them being mutually fucked - alastor has never really given much thought to romantic love and hes shocked that hes willing to break so many of his own rules for this silly little slice of heaven in hell; charlie responds well to alastor setting clear boundaries against her sometimes-invasive behavior, and, like any good theatre kid, he "yes-and"s her (instead of vaggies pretty consistent "no"s). however, this song also touches on the fact that charlie is (or should be) at least alastors equal in power, if not far beyond him, and its a warning that neither of them should overstep in either love or anger.

the last one ill leave you with is actually one that was made canon by helluva - its look my way (paranoid DJ, but the alternate version sung by bryce pinkham) and its a bit of an ooc situation from alastors point of view.

unless its me, and no matter what in this world i could give - its not enough to get through the walls youve conjured up to live. is this what you feel? scorned by a world that cannot comprehend what you are, so ill grant you this mercy - this bind on our souls needs to end.

this is taking into account the deal that charlie makes with alastor in the penultimate episode of the first season of hazbin. the idea is that alastor (or at least, the speculative pilot version of alastor) strongly admires charlies perseverance against her own people - the very beings shes trying so hard to save. while charlie is a relatively open book he knows that she probably doesnt let anyone, not even her own girlfriend/best friend, see the emotional toll this project has taken on her (again, this tying in more to the pilot personalities of these characters), and hes upset that her deal with him has only made things worse in that regard. he makes the choice, to his own detriment, to sever the deal without her knowledge, so that if she doesnt keep her end of the bargain it will be of no consequence to her.

I'm quite familiar with it actually! Considering that I already ship those two quietly and in silence lmao. But yeah, tbh, I thought it was a cute ship until I was like "aw, fuck, I'm starting to like it." To me, I've find it for me a breath of fresh air since all those zestmilla posts are making it stale 4 me (srry to zestmilla shippers out there), and another ship I don't like is cherrisnake (same reason: overrated). Plus, I was wondering if ppl were gonna ship pentious w/ someone else in the show (a couple of my favs with pentious has to be pentniss (arackniss x sir pentious) baxtious (sir pentious x baxter) along with radiosnake (Alastor x sir pentious) and sirdust (angel dust x sir pentious).

Plus, I LOVE rare-pairs and crackships, including small ships that rarely got any attention or have died out. I have a few ships myself that are both crack and rare--buuuut my insecure ass would NEVER reveal them unless I get to show them in confidence lol. Don't get me wrong, I love popular ships, but I hate ones like blitzstrike and charlastor since I have certain views and critiques on them aaaand cuz of how the fanbase flat-out ruins them. So seeing a ship of zestial and sir pentious gives me a new pair of shipping visions and ideas and many more galore!

Additionally, I am now dedicated to this ship. And for that, I already made them a daughter as a fan-kid (if you wanna know more abt her - hit me up with another ask and I'd be happy to give out info)

Backstory rn i want details fandoms and all

IT STARTED IN 2020.

Dsmp phase, my first fic was a rewrite of the plot of the dsmp (self-insert ofc) with my own spin on things. I wrote it because quarantine and I didn't have much else to do, so I pulled up docs on my crappy windows 2010 model (it was so bad that upon starting it up, it would start overheating. Opening more than three tabs at a time caused it to crash) and began writing. Learned I loved to write, so I kept going with it.

2021 I had my hazbin hotel phase. Wrote a fucking like 400 page fanfic that was... (IM ASHAMED.) CHARLASTOR... I would say it wasnt them directly but it was, Alastor never stopped smiling and loved his mama, and "Charlotte" had her parents abandon her. The story was so shit. I tried to see if I could rewrite it, maybe change it a lot, but nope. So much shit happened that was so unnecessary I couldn't save it. I think the story was just me trying out different troupes and prompts.

HOWEVER, i did write shorter fanfics of the two (yeah i wrote a fanfic of my own fanfic fuck off okay leave me alone) that were somewhat OKAY. Like, they werent the best, but theh sure as hell had better structure than the first fic.

2022 i had a... actually what DID i have.. OH FJCK RIGHT

ENCANTO. THAT SHIT WAS SOOO BAD... I actually preordered a Bruno funko pop so thats cool. NOT RELEVANT. I MADE THIS BOMBASS STORY ABT THE CANDLE BEING EVIL AND IT WAS SOOOOO GOOD DUDE. LIKE SO GOOD. I LOVED IT.

And then i lost it. It’s gone. Actually i might be able to find it give me a moment.. found it. 200 PAGES OF DIFFERENT FICS I WROTE. There are 6 different stories in here. Christ these were actually kinda good

In late 2022 and all of 2023 i got into detroit become human. Uhh let me think.. OVER 1000 FUCKING PAGES OF THESE ROBOTS. 1000 pages, like 90 different fics, but only 23 were released. May release more. THESE WERE ACTUALLY GOOD. I LIKED A GOOD MAJORITY OF THEM.

And that brings us to 2024. What started as "hey dr facilier reminds me of Alastor ill write a fic" turned into a revisitation of my 2021 phase. Get me the fuck out of here.

I love how some people love to complain about minors being in the Hazbin fandom was ruining it when most if not all of the infighting and discourse I’ve seen in my 4-5 years of being in the fandom has been caused by GROWN ADULTS the recent discourse is evidence of that. Y’all are acting like the very minors yall seem to despise so much(also idk who needs to hear this but uh hating kids isn’t a personality trait or people who are younger than you in general because yall seem to be going after 18-20 year olds too for some reason-).

You guys will literally pride yourselves on attacking people over ships(no I don’t ship charlastor. I lost interest in it due to boredom awhile ago. Now I don’t really know how to feel about the ship in general after the recent eps) Along with acting like that you’re better that everyone else for liking a certain character while shaming others for liking another. No you’re not special or quirky for liking Valentino while shitting on Alastor fans and No you’re not special or quirky for attacking Valentino fans while liking Alastor.

I swear being in this fandom is both the best and worst thing to happen to me. So many people in this fandom are so damn catty to one another, and it doesn’t help that lots of popular figureheads in the fandom will make the worst takes imaginable and their followers and friends will eat that shit up. Like..I’m just..SO TIRED.

Like when I got back into this fandom I wanted to get back into the community again and possibly make new friends. But now at this point idk how much more I can take. I need a fucking break. I’ll of course watch these last two episodes and will of course be waiting for season two but for now IM DONE. One day when she's coming back from her crummy job she finds a package with her name only. Desperate and wanting to help her brother she takes it and uses it to pay off his hospital bills.

Every Friday there's a package with money and charlie takes it and uses it to pay whatever she needs to pay off until one Friday the 13th when a powerful mobster known as the Radio Demon comes and collects his debt from her …

Chapter 1: Arc 1: The Stranger- Prologue

"And I got fired…again, honestly it's not even my fault the customer was being transphobic and I had to do something, I know, I know I should've just told her to leave and not pour soda and dump my trash all over her but you would've been proud of me for putting some selfish, greedy, pompous asshole in her place,"

Beep…beep…beep

Charlie's small smile fell as a little, shaking her head she continued to tell her brother about her day.

"Classes are good, umm I'm struggling a little in my history class but after a while I should be able to understand what the teacher is talking about, honestly why a student majoring in dance and theater needs a history class is beyond me. I'm passing my literature classes guess what I am reading?"

Beep…beep…beep

Charlie stared at the sound of the heart monitor. Sometimes she'll pause and pretend that the beeping sound is her brother's way of responding to her asking her questions or adding more to the conversations like he did when they were kids, like he always did whenever she would rant about random things.

"Your favorite book, The Midnight Library, my teacher was a little annoyed I chose a "simple" book but you were right it is good and I'm learning so much from it."

She squeezed his hand hoping, praying that she'll get some reaction from him.

Her heart fell a little when his hand laid in hers motionless.

"I umm…I saw Vaggie today…umm she's doing good saw she was dating some chick I don't know who she is but she seems nice,"

Beep…beep…beep

"What no! Don't be ridiculous, the break up was mutual, Vaggie understood that you were my priority and didn't have time for a relationship, what with school and work and everything else,"

The break up was far from mutual but she didn't want to bring bad news to her brother, especially if it could cause him harm.

"I miss you William, I…" she closed her eyes her free hand went to the scarf that belonged to her brother, the one he would wrap around her neck whenever she was scared and needed comfort.

"I hope you get better,"

"Charlie?"

The blond beauty turned and saw a short figure standing by the door way.

"OH Blitz, is it already 2 o'clock?"

The short man smiled softly holding a bouquet of sunflowers and tiger lilies he walked over to the young girl and kissed the top of her head.

He than placed the flowers down at the desk took the old ones and disposed of them. He than went to the bathroom and cleaned out the vase before coming back and placing the flowers inside the vase.

"How are you little one?"

Charlie smiled, Blitz was Williams boyfriend the two got along really well and were there for each other to make sure that the other was alright

"Fine, just talking to William and letting him know about my day,"

Blitz laughed.

"You know Striker hated that name and if he hears you calling him that he might wake up and snap at you,"

"Is it bad that that's what I want?"

The atmosphere in the room went from light hearted to somber. The two shared a look and looked at the hospital bed where there loved one laid fighting for his life both silently praying he would be okay
