Today is #KidLitArtPostcard day, a day when children's book illustrators (current or aspiring) share postcard art as self-promotion. Here's mine!
This is also a good space to note that I have a new portfolio site just for my children's illustration: https://mdashow-kidlitart.carrd.co

"Buddies by the Sea" - Personal Art 2023 This painting is once again a daily sketch that then became a finished picture (unplanned). 😉 I was a little longing for summer and took a photo of our vacation to Croatia this year for a study, which I then modified a bit. You can see my daughter Mina on the beach. When I showed her the painting, she was delighted with her new friend, whom she immediately named "Leo". She says that she probably played with him a lot on vacation and that you can only see him in photos and that she is happy that I took a picture with him. Oh…I just love my children's imagination!❤

Hi everyone! Welcome to my illustration blog. My art is centered around children’s books (and the occasional fanart). I’ve missed tumblr these past few years and I hope I can find a little art community to fall into.
If you’re interested in picture books, questionable animals, and cute art give me follow! Reblogs and likes more appreciated than you know. :D

To celebrate Chanukah, we share these two drawings composed by children in Thereisenstadt Concentration Camp. The first was drawn by a girl who was killed in 1944 at age 14. The second shows a secret synagogue and was drawn by Helga weissova of Prague. Weissova survived the war and still lives in Prague. May the light of these candles penetrate the dark. #chanukah #theresienstadt #terezin #holocaustart #menorah #holocaust #childrensart #prague #jewishart https://www.instagram.com/p/CmUyyYVAMeJ/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
