The Tale of Two Cities according to Stephi and Heiko - Part 450
Ladies and Gentlemen, Christmas time is upon us and Munich has been graced with way too much snow already last week (which is now melting away according to Stephi). Snow gives Christmas a unique look and helps getting us into a festive mood.
And as you might remember from theist years, there are a lot of motives that are presented to us during the holiday season. This week, I will start with Christmas markest. We both didn’t pick the usual big markets but smaller and unique ones.
The first picture shows Munich’s Winterbar (covered in snow), which is s small kinda market. Yet, stay you can spend time there drinking mulled whine and getting some food. The snows gives the Winterbar a special feeling and it must be lovely spending time there, despite the cold.
From Cologne I present you the entrance of one of the smaller but more artistic Christmas markets at Stadtgarten. Here, there are a lot of small business owners, mostly with self-made stuff from clothes, kids clothes, jewelry, all kinds of foods and drinks, etc. Plus, every weeks there are different things you can see/buy in the booths. Plus, you get some great mulled whine (yet even more expensive than on the bigger touristy markest and great food.
Do you people visit Christmas markest and are you there for the food, the stuff people sell or the atmosphere?
