More than half the League is betting at any time that they know when it's actually Batman under the mask, or someone else. Unfortunately, they were wrong when:
Dick was doing a phenomenal job of playing Bruce (didn't give himself away even once by smiling), because he fell asleep
Batman stubbed his toe against a table and swore like a sailor which led to cash exchanging hands as several people figured it was Jason, but Bruce had recently switched out of Matches Malone to dress up as Bats and hadn't shaken the Mindset yet
Batman's suit sat weirdly empty at the table and Oliver, annoyed, tried to tell Damian that this was too serious a meeting for Bruce to delegate, but it was Batman, hit with a de-ageing spell and too stubborn to sit out
After sustaining pretty serious injuries, Batman was whiteknuckling the table, in an awful mood, and nobody thought anything of it. Barry offered to help Bruce up (if the pain was keeping him trapped, trying not to insult Batman too much), and Jason tightly replied that if he moved the suit was going to tear.
Clark and Bruce had a bet for how long they could replace Bruce with a mannequin without anyone noticing, and because Clark kept looking over at "Bruce" and giggling (pretty par for the course for them), nobody noticed for five hours.

Refuge
Danny was not retired, technically he came when people needed him, he helped or protected them as the case may be. It just turned out that over the years they stopped needing him.
And that was fine, it meant humanity could take care of itself, it meant they were safe. That was what had to matter, no matter that deep down, the halfa was hurt by the information.
It was harder to accept change when you weren't part of it. Danny was immortal, eternal, and powerful, things that no longer fit the world. Not with all the heroes and wizards running around, not with Amity Park fading away, becoming nothing more than a part of his memories.
He fit in perfectly in the Realms, sure, but he knew that if he stayed there too long he'd stop feeling human, and that was dangerous.
So, no, Danny wasn't retired. But he lived in a simple house in Metropolis, though sometimes he got tired of Superman being able to hear literally everything and moved to his house in Fawcett. He used to switch between the two houses frequently, not that it was difficult since he had figured out how to make portals.
He had a few friends, like the orphan boy who lived at the train station and Conner, a teenager who sometimes just needed a house to stay in when he couldn't stand his father.
Neither Conner nor Billy minded his age, which was comforting, although they both got curious when he visited the other house. Danny didn't know how to explain that Eternity Rock and Superman made him nervous if he stayed too long (he didn't like feeling watched), so he just shrugged and told them he had two houses.
Neither of the kids understood but they accepted it. They both had a habit of calling him "Uncle", Danny thought it was odd, given that his appearance wasn't exactly...adult, but it seemed they were comfortable with that, and he left them alone.
Apparently his house (occupied or not) had become a haven for them. Danny always greeted them with a sandwich, or cookies, even though he felt like a grandmother doing so. He smiled for the first time in years, feeling happy to fit into someone's life.
That's why it was quite disconcerting to find the Justice League outside his door asking him to join them. Danny chuckled internally, because the current heroes actually believed they could force him into something, but he accompanied them anyway.
Superboy and Captain Marvel scowled at the League as soon as they entered the Watchtower, when they were told they were bringing in a "dangerous individual" they didn't expect to see their unofficial uncle.

Batman: Superman, I thought I told you to stay out of Gotham. And why are you holding onto a box of popcorn and drinks?
Superman: It’s Sunday!
Batman: So?
Superman: Did you forget what you told Alfred the other day when he insisted that you eat a proper meal? You said you’ll only allow yourself to eat, drink and be merry on cheat day. Today is your cheat day, so I came here to hang out with you! Look, I even brought you snacks.
Batman: …That’s not what a cheat day actually means, Superman.
Superman: Oh… Do you still want some popcorn?
Batman: [shrugs] Hmm, why not? It’s my cheat day, after all. Hand it over.

Can Marinette Bench press a building?!
(Ladybugs, also known as lady beetles or ladybird beetles, are able to carry objects that are up to 1,000 times their own weight due to the unique structure of their exoskeletons. An exoskeleton is an external protective covering that provides support and protection to the insect's body. This covering is made up of a material called chitin, which is a strong and lightweight polymer. The exoskeleton also gives ladybugs their characteristic shiny, hard shells. Ladybugs use their powerful leg muscles to lift and carry heavy objects, such as large leaves or other insects. The unique structure of their exoskeleton allows them to distribute the load evenly across their body, making it possible for them to carry heavy objects without being weighed down. Additionally, their strong legs and other muscles are equipped to sustain this weight too)
But like with her legs???
I wanna see a MLB x DC fic where Marinette is working with young justice and like a building fucking falls on them but marinette just fucking kicks it away. Or picks it up. Itd be even more absurdly funny if she wasn't transformed and the super strength is like a kwami side effect.
WHAT IS MARINETTES WEIGHT? IS THERE A CANNON ANSWER??? DO I HAVE TO PULL A MATPAT AND DO PIXEL MEASUREMENT MATHAMATICAL BULLSHIT???? I WANNA KNOW IF SHE CAN LOFT A BUILDING OR NOT!!!

Ah yes. And now we’re at the bit of RTD’s era where I have to watch a black character get shoehorned into the role of the idiot patsy and unlikeable love rival to make the white characters look better

Hi, I'm the anon that is reading (again) TOH and I reached this point:
Lexa's face was entirely blank. Not cold, but unreadable, her eyes skipping back and forth between Clarke's own.
"... Is that what it would be?"
Clarke's heart stuttered for a moment, her mind racing with every roiling emotion that had nowhere to go with how softly the words were spoken.
"What?"
"Would it be cheating?" Lexa asked, her voice slow and small. Vulnerable. Hesitant. "If I were sleeping with someone else, would I be cheating on you?"
And I never took a moment to understand what Lexa is actually asking here and I could totally be wrong, but she is asking if they are an exclusive thing right? She is asking if they are partners, girlfriends etc. right? Because she is so soft and I never took a moment to actually understand the meaning behind because Clarke just tells her to go fuck herself two seconds after, but it's that right? This potato of love just asked her crush (and soulmate) if they are a couple.
Don't touch me, I'm fine, I'm not crying someone just put a fucking fallen angel in my eyes.
YES that's exactly what she was asking in that moment!
Clarke had been so adamant that they were just friends, and barely that. And Lexa had resigned herself to accepting that, because she never really thought she was someone who was loveable anyway; certainly not by someone like Clarke - a beautiful and lovely and funny and slightly mean in a fun way, human - would want to love.
But also... Clarke had been acting so odd the last several weeks. She'd been... kinder. Closer. More giving with her affection. There'd been times when it didn't even just feel like sex when they were together. At least it didn't for her anyway. There were times when they were slow and it felt more like surrendering to each other. The night before in particular had just been... Lexa didn't even know how to describe it. She hadn't pushed for more than just the sweet feel of Clarke's body against hers and letting herself get lost in Clarke's lips. It had felt deeper than anything they'd done before. Like it was special. Like it meant something, even if she didn't exactly know what. It'd felt like they were connecting in a way that was bigger than them. And Lexa didn't really understand one bit of it. More than that tho, she didn't ever want to get her hopes up.
But then Clarke had said cheating. And fuck all she understood human ideals of cheating. Cheating means broken promises. Promises mean commitment to someone. Commitment mean trust and vulnerability. So in that moment, what she was really asking was: Does this mean you feel what I felt? Are you saying I get to keep your heart safe? Are you saying you want to share these promises with me? Does this mean you want that kind of trust and vulnerability, with me?
That's why you see a subtle yet dramatic change in the way Lexa carries herself with Clarke after she says yes. Before she had always let Clarke set the tone and the speed of everything they did. Afterward, Lexa let herself be much more free. Where before she'd kept things lowkey and private as Clarke had requested, from then on she was open with everything. She held Clarke in her arms in front of Raven and held her hand while walking through the office, she made a point of kissing her in front of Costia right after rebuffing her flirting. From that second on Lexa kinda just threw herself into the role of "Hell's Best Girlfriend💕" and never looked back.
Well, until their fight 😬

I’ve been thinking a lot about the relationship between Tanya and Will, and. Maybe I contextualized it all wrong. Maybe their “romance” is the only breath of air these two characters get. Maybe it’s the only moment of solace in a lifetime of misery/general unhappiness. Maybe judging it as a morally incorrect relationship is wrong. After all, it was the first time William had been allowed to choose something for *himself,* and he chose her. And maybe it wasn’t the best choice, and maybe if he’d been given more ability to choose for himself throughout his life, he wouldn’t have chosen her, and maybe their relationship wasn’t healthy, but it was a moment where he felt like he was happy, or as close to it as he possibly could be, and maybe that’s what matters?
I’ve been listening to the song “Francis Forever” and it gives me the weirdest idea of an au where years down the road, William (who is no longer possessed) who has been acquitted or at least not found guilty for Tanya’s death despite KNOWING the circumstances of what happened to her, kind of thinks of Tanya with this sweet reverence. Maybe it wasn’t love, but they were young and exploring and figuring themselves out, and she meant so much to him.
Like specifically the line “On sunny days I go out walking/I end up on a tree lined street/I look up at the gaps of sunlight/I miss you more than anything” it makes me imagine this au version of Will just sadly reminiscing on what they had when they were both young…

I haven’t finished school spirits yet but I’d just like to say I’m a Xavier Baxter sympathizer.
Let me explain.
So yes, he cheated but it’s high school people make mistakes. Very very DUMB mistakes. Also, compared to killing Maddie, it’s not as bad. Also, HIS DAD. I hate him so fucking much. He does not have a good parental figure which honestly what made Maddie and Xavier get together in the first place.
Thoughts?
Edit: I just watched all of season one except for the last episode and I cannot stop thinking about that one scene with Xavier and his dad when his dad calls him a loser and then Claire comes over and tells him off. I was like, YAS QUEEN SLAY WE HATE SHERIFF BAXTER

Denby could’ve saved herself so much time and effort if she had just made Mara the sin of spite.
It was so obvious to everyone and their mums that she had spite towards Jerome she wouldn’t stop talking about it lmao.
