Okay so update! My family and I are all okay, the only real injury is my siblings ankle got twisted or something while we where getting out and it's swollen to heck but aside from that we all got out pretty okay.

We've got semi-stable living conditions atm, can't really go into detail there but we're okay for right now and the community where we live has been amazing and giving us a lot of support. Thank you to everyone who left kind messages on the last post, I really appreciated it and it meant a lot to me.

I don't have the brain power for dm's at the moment but I'm sending hugs to y'all <3

USS Monadnock (BM-3) at sea between San Francisco, CA, and Manila, Philippine Islands, circa June 23 to August 16, 1898. She was one of only two U.S. Navy monitors ever to make the crossing. She was ordered to join George Dewey's Asiatic fleet in the Philippines during the Spanish-American War. While she never turned to the continental US, she protected US interests during the Boxer rebellion and patrol the rivers of China. She served her twilight years as a submarine chaser before being scrapped in 1923.

Note: the amount of water over top of the main deck. While a ship will stay afloat as the main interior body stays dry, that doesn't mean it makes a good sea going vessel. Monitors as design have shallower hulls to make them a smaller target to the enemy, the trade off is they are only really suited for rivers and coastal areas.

My class responded to our rainbow flag being banned for including a "sensitive issue that shouldn't be touched on in school" by changing to a pan flag and I think that's beautiful

I am so sorry someone was mean to Yoohyun at you like he's not an absolutely perfect little guy. 10/10. Yeah he fucked up but also he has never done anything wrong. He hates everyone except his hyung equally. He's known for his non-discrominatory hiring practices. He has a little lizard which lives in his eye sometimes. Anon just doesn't get him.

No literally he is my mega fucked up and twisted and flawed little guy who I love so much and who I want to be happy. Multiple someones have been mean to Yoohyun in my inbox and I know it's multiple people cause I block the worst ones and other ones still keep coming and all the typing/talking styles are different. I'm like. Y'all can make your own posts. Please make your own posts fgsjdjd.

Like, it'd be one thing if they said "Why do you think Yoohyun did X?" or "I interpreted it like XYZ, what about you?" that'd be Fine that's an actual bit of back and forth that is interesting and fun to have even if we disagree on certain interpretations, and they are obviously treating me as a Person with my own opinions.

But if they're on anon listing all the reasons why they think Yoohyun sucks then I'm just...like, what do you even want me to say here. You're basically using my inbox as your venting ground for character hate, not engaging with me as like. Two Real People who both enjoy a series.

(And I'm gonna be honest here. I'm typically very open to peoples' various interpretations. Regardless of whether or not we agree, different angles and interpretations are usually interesting and good to ponder and come to your own conclusion about in order to form a more solid idea of something. So, I rarely say an interpretation is outright Incorrect. But genuinely it feels like every Yoohyun hater has switched off their reading comprehension skills specifically when it comes to Yoohyun. So many people just outright miss The Entire Main Point of SCTIR and the Han brothers because they're like "uhmmm Yoohyun makes bad choices so he's bad and it's bad writing" like...the things I have seen...Why are you even reading SCTIR if you hate Yoohyun that much. That is not me being petty, that's a genuine question, because the entire series is about the love the Han brothers have for each other, they are entirely The Point of it all and everything else in the series is a vehicle to convey that. So like. What are you doing here, you do not have to keep reading fhsjfjd)
