Eden (Canon Fix-It Post Season 4)
By: TalktomeinClexa
Rating: Mature
Warnings: None
Status: Complete (One-shot)
Summary: After the second Praimfaya, Clarke finds herself alone on Earth. Or so she thinks until the panther that swallowed the Flame and Lexa's consciousness leads her to Shallow Valley.
***
Dawn was breaking over the canopy, the pink and light blue hue barely visible between the large trees. Clarke pushed her mount to gallop faster in fear that her absence would be noticed soon. She had thought it prudent to return to Arkadia. Amid Azgeda taking over Polis and ALIE’s former victims wreaking havoc on technology, Skaikru wasn’t safe in Polis. Who knew how long they had before the members of the Kongeda turned their rage toward them? Riding a horse in the dark was a venture in itself, and the blonde was grateful to Lexa for insisting on teaching her to ride. Lexa.
One of Clarke’s hands rose to touch the small metallic box hidden in her jacket’s outer pocket. Between the situation with Pike, the City of Light craziness, and the knowledge that the Earth would basically be inhabitable in six months, the former ambassador hadn’t had the time to begin to mourn her lover. Truth be told, she still couldn’t process how the Earth could continue to spin even though the beautiful, wise Commander was gone.
Seeing Lexa in the City of Light and expressing her feelings had alleviated some of her pain for a short while. But now that the coalition the brunette had fought so hard to create was on the verge of collapsing, Clarke was lost. And angry. So angry. At Titus for pulling the trigger and killing the woman he had sworn to protect. At all the warriors and ambassadors who pushed for war when all Lexa wanted for them was peace. At herself for challenging the brunette and arguing with her. For keeping her at bay when Clarke should have wrapped herself in the strong muscular arms instead. And above all, for encouraging her down a path that had led to her demise. And at Lexa too, which was the most painful part. For listening to the blonde, for changing the world too fast, for trusting her bald advisor. For walking in and taking the bullet meant for Clarke, for leaving her alone in that crazy world.
The rider gritted her teeth and wiped the tear rolling down her cheek. Now wasn’t the time to crumble. Not when she barely saw where the horse was going or when enemies could already be chasing her. She would have to avoid the ruins of TonDC, which brought her deeper into the forest than she would have liked.
Her horse was walking, resting from the long gallop she had put it through. Clarke estimated that it was around 8 AM, and she still had a long way to go before she could hide behind Arkadia’s high walls. For the first time since Mount Weather, she was looking forward to seeing the metallic structure and the relative safety it offered.
Lost in thoughts, she didn’t notice that her mount was growing nervous. It huffed, its head shaking left and right as if looking for danger.
When a yowl made itself heard from behind a bush, the mare reared. It threw the beginner rider down before taking off with a whinny. Clarke landed heavily on her back, the shock kicking the air out of her lungs and leaving her dazed for a few seconds.

Vibes and feelings about a dark academia/secret history inspired style clexa fic, where Clarke lies to get into this prestigious university and a very specific major (tbd). In the small class she meets Lexa, a cold, love matters not old money girl who becomes Clarke's new obsession to the point where she convinces Clarke to help her with murder, just because she believes it is something she needs to experience in her life and if Clarke wants to be in her life she needs to help her. Clarle discovering how easy it is to take someone's life, and although the guilt is eating her alive, her obsession and love for Lexa still trumps that. Lexa as this larger than god figure, all knowing, making Clarke feel like under her protection, nothing bad can happen to her...

Would love to read about young alpha omega (Kara being Clarke’s sister), their first time and getting caught at the end somehow, like just when they finish and start cuddling kara barges in the room or she hears them and she waits right in the kitchen
(Previous)
Ao3
Lexa held her breath as she heard someone climbing on the roof. She stood, hands fisted, and looked behind her to check how height was the jump.
Still damn high, that was for sure.
But instead of golden fury, what peeked from the side of the house was Anya’s head.
“Oh God, don’t give me a heart attack like this!” Lexa laid back on the dark roof shingles.
“How are you holding up?” Anya brought a blanket and Lexa wrapped it around her underwear. Clarke’s t-shirt was a little loose on her, but it had been all she could grab in her run for her life.
“Could be worse. Is she still looking for me?”
“Like a hound. Lena is on her way, and the hope is that she will de-escalate the situation.”
“How’s Clarke?”
“She’s been following Kara to make sure that, if she finds you, she won’t castrate you or anything like that. But then Kara keeps looking back at her and grunting and swearing, and it starts all over again.”
“Aren’t you supposed to protect me?”
“Have you seen Kara’s biceps?”
“Fair.”
The sisters lay on the roof, watching the sunset from atop the Griffins’ house. Day birds sang their farewell song, unaware or uncaring of the dangers that Lexa faced.
“So,” Anya said, eyes on the horizon. “How was it?”
Lexa wanted to roll her eyes at her sister, but the smile splitting her face was too large to be ignored.
4 hours before
One word to describe being inside Clarke was bliss. Lexa tried to pay attention to every detail, like the way Clarke’s breath hitched as she slipped inside, how Clarke’s nails would leave marks on her back, or the stuttering of Clarke’s hips against her eager ones. But all her alpha brain could process was warm, wet, and tight, and Clarke, Clarke.
She only realized she had been saying the name when Clarke whispered to her, “I’m here, babe. I got you.”
Lexa wouldn’t last, and it did not bother her. Going down on Clarke before had been the right choice, otherwise even this endless bliss would end up in embarrassment.
But as is, Lexa was in heaven. Her hips were singing their own ballad, and Clarke was picking up to match her pace.
“It’s okay,” Clarke said after a deep thrust, her sentence ending in a shared moan. “I want you to come.”
Lexa wasn’t hiding her impending orgasm as well as she thought, and now with her girlfriend’s blessing, she tucked her face into Clarke’s neck and continued an increasing pace in search of that final, explosive bliss.
It didn’t take long to find it.
In Lexa’s late-teens brain, people underestimated sex, because this was awesome.
She shuddered over Clarke as she emptied what felt like all her essence on the condom, sighing in content finality as Clarke held her close, murmuring soft nothings into messy curls.
“You okay?”
Lexa mumbled something close to an affirmative. Clarke kissed her cheek, nuzzling the fresh sweat there. “Good. Can you go again? I liked it.”
That got Lexa’s attention.
“Yeah. Yeah, let me just get a new condom.”
Clarke moaned as Lexa slipped out, and the dark eyes that followed Lexa's hips as she stood showed want and hunger.
“I’ll be right back!” Lexa grabbed Clarke’s shirt from the floor and her own underwear before heading to the bathroom in the hallway.
“I’ll be waiting for you!” Clarke called from the bed, and Lexa almost tripped in her hurry. With Clarke’s parents out of town and Kara away for the weekend, they had time for themselves.
And by “time for themselves”, Lexa meant time to finally fuck.
She stared at the mirror, adjusting her hair and puffing out her chest just enough to realize it’s better to leave it be. Balling the used condom in an overindulgence of toilet paper, she grabbed a new package from under the sink and she was ready to go.
She heard Clarke’s scream, and the best day of her life took a turn.
Lexa opened the bathroom door to what possibly would be the scariest moment of her life. To date, at least.
Kara Griffin had always been a protégé in sports. Tall, muscular, and charming, the young alpha rose to the highest ranks of any sports she played, achieving a full lacrosse scholarship in college. On the field, she was magnificent. Shining in golden glory under the sun, she led her team to victory in impressive, awe-inspiring performances. However, like most alphas, Kara also showed her teeth when the game delved into bruising intensity. In games like that, sweet Kara transformed into a feral leader that would stop at nothing. Due to those courageous, and a tad violent, displays, Kara earned a nickname: Red K. She would jest it was about her cheeks that turned red under the sun. How cute. But it wasn’t about her cheeks, even though they bloomed in a lovely shade of crimson and freckles under summer season sun. But no, Red K wasn’t about the famous Griffin cheeks. It was about her eyes.
Red, murderous eyes that now stared at a barely clad Lexa from down the hallway.
“You’re dead, Woods,” Kara said in a simple, final tone, and sweat pooled at the back of Lexa’s neck. Clarke, covered in her bedsheets, jumped from her room to hold her sister’s arm. Kara barely flinched, pushing her sister away.
“Lexa, run!” There was desperation in Clarke’s voice. There was death in Kara’s stare.
Brave, young Lexa did what any brave young alpha would do.
She ran for her life.
Kara’s heavy steps echoed behind her as Lexa entered the closest bedroom—destiny would make it to Kara’s—and locked the door. The thunderous kick on the door from the outside made the wood cry in protest, and Lexa knew it wouldn’t hold Kara for long. Clarke’s furious voice echoed from the hallway, but Kara was not responding.
Lexa’s strategic mind was in a loop of shit shit shit, and she looked around the room for anything that would help her, like a baseball bat, or, if she’s lucky, a gun. But the Griffins were notorious followers of a no-gun policy, and Kara kept her gear in her sacred corner in the garage. So, understandably, Lexa searched desperately through the pile of bachelor alpha stuff for anything that would save her almost exposed ass. At least the entire thing had killed her boner, which was a plus when running for your life.
Kara’s drawer had nothing but neatly folded polos and socks, and the closet was a colorful palette of button ups. Cute, but not what Lexa needed. She looked around the room while the door creaked at another kick, Clarke’s voice begging her sister to stop joining the cacophony.
Then, on Kara’s nightstand, flashing a beautiful smile in a digital picture frame, the solution.
“Call Lena!” Lexa yelled from the door, watching in horror as a wooden panel gave away and red eyes stared at her from the crack. Lexa did not squeak, but a mouse-like sound made its way out of her throat. “Clarke, call Lena!” Lexa yelled before her huntress could go for the final blow at the door.
Before Kara could bring the IKEA door to the ground, Lexa swallowed her courage and sneaked out the window.
What ensued was a shameful pursuit that neither woman would ever speak of again, which ended up with a bruised, but alive, Lexa hiding on top of the Griffin’s roof.
It was close to eight at night when Clarke climbed onto the roof with a sandwich. “Hi.” There was a beautiful rose to her cheeks, and Lexa opened the blanked so they could share its warmth. “How’s it going up here?”
“I’m alive, so it’s good. How’s everything down there?”
“Lena controlled the situation, but now Kara is being petty and hanging around the house, so you, and I quote, ‘freeze your ass up there’.”
“Fair. Will she be here all night?”
“Lena promised to take her out of the house around ten. She said Kara needs to feel it’s a win for her.”
Lexa suspected she was the one winning, but okay.
“Lena was pretty nice.” Clarke snuggled into her girlfriend, kissing her cheek. “We’re having an omegas brunch tomorrow.”
Lexa kissed Clarke’s forehead, inhaling the scent of her citrus shampoo. “Are we okay? No regrets?”
“No regrets. You?”
“I could go without almost being beaten to death by your sister, but everything else was fantastic.” She kissed Clarke softly, holding her close. “At least we can watch the starts from up here.”
“We can’t see anything from here because of the city.”
“Oh no, babe,” Lexa leaned for another kiss, this time lingering. “My favorite star is right here.”
“Ugh, stop!” Anya broke the moment by surging from the side of the house. “Go flirt somewhere else. Lena convinced Kara to leave with her. You’re safe.”
“I think we’ll stay here for a few more minutes.” Lexa looked at her sister and hoped the pull of her lips conveyed the message that she was about to get some serious smooching and Anya should leave. Immediately.
“I’m going home, and try not to die tonight,” Anya said on her way down the ladder Clarke had used. “And girls?” Her voice came from the side of the house. “Don’t fuck on the roof.”
Clarke laughed freely, and Lexa yelled a profanity.

Finn never wanted to be a father. He begged Clarke to get rid of their ‘mistake’ one way or the other, but Clarke couldn’t do such a thing.
Two weeks later, Finn was in a car accident and left Clarke totally alone to raise their son, Axel.
Thankfully, she has her best friend to help her.
So when a stranger sees them at the coffee shop and thinks they’re more, she wonders why they aren’t.
Or in other words: Mistaken for a couple, makes a couple. Small family fluff.

Do NYC clexa think the NYE ball drop at times square to be too overrated?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They do, Lexa also isn't a fan of super crowded spaces and times square with the hundreds of people milling around, drunken escapades and bodies smushed next to each other. They spend their first few NYE's together at various house parties, drunken and sweaty and smiling dopily at each other as the count down flashed across TV, sweet kisses exchanges while their friends cheered on the new year around them. As they get older and settle into their life together, their tradition has been inviting people over to their house for dinner, records on as candle light flickers warm shadows through their living room, laughter echoing through the brownstone as silverware clatters and bottles of champagne are opened. After people stream out into the streets and back home shortly after midnight, flushed with alcohol and friendship and the promise of a new year, they two women quietly clean up the kitchen and dining table together, ending their night tucked up in front of their fireplace, Clarke's feet tucked under Lexa's and their favourite wool blanket. Champagne flutes in hand, they talk quietly until Lexa falls asleep mid-sentence, Clarke gently tugging her to bed as Lexa sleepily stumbles behind her.

my unobtainable need is casual clexa we could have had throughout the seasons. just them standing close, leaning into each other, existing in the background. getting used to each other as time passes, settling into each other's presence not with tension or longing but with familiarity. everybody around them being passively aware that they are a couple because it has been this way for so long that no one really remembers them not being one.

Didn't you write a NYE story one time with Lexa as an heiress? Something like the Great Gatsby? I can't find it on AO3.
Alas I never wrote a story, just did a moodboard/scenario thingy.
Here it is.

Clexa Fanfic Series: something wicked (this way comes)
Synopsis: After the death of coven leader Thelonius Jaha, Gustus Woods' banishment from Polis, Massachusetts is lifted and he moves back with his two daughters, Anya and Alexandria Woods, who have no idea of their family lineage or the prophecy that had been foretold long before either were born.
Chapter 4: midnight séance (words: 8,746)
Clarke and Lexa hold hands on the docks, looking out into the ocean as they enjoy their own cones of gelato. Clarke offers her cone to Lexa, who licks the raspberry flavor. She offers her’s to Clarke who scrunches up her nose.
“No thank you, only you would get some weird tiramisu flavor.” Clarke remarks. Lexa laughs and rolls her eyes.
“It’s good! Come here, try it.” Lexa uses her hand that is holding Clarke’s to bring her closer as Clarke squeals and laughs as Lexa shoves the cone in her face, smearing it on Clarke’s nose and lips.
“Lexa!” Clarke exclaims, laughing but never actually trying to get away. Clarke licks the flavor off her lips, and jokingly pouts about the gelato on her nose. Lexa chuckles, leaning in to lick it off.
“There, all clean. It was good though wasn’t it.” Lexa smirks. Clarke rolls her eyes and laughs.
“Whatever you want to think, Lex.” Clarke guides them to sit on a bench that overlooks the water, watching the boats leave the harbor and some coming back in. The two sit together, just enjoying each other’s company and finishing their gelato. It had been a few weeks since the dinner. Summer was starting to come to a close, and since they had decided to pull back a little on investigating, they’ve been spending all their time together. Clarke teaching Lexa more spells, Lexa researching spells Clarke hadn’t known about, the two practicing together. Going on dates and learning more and more about each other. Clarkes learned about the time Lexa had a bad concussion during soccer that she forgot how to read for half a day. Lexa knows about the time Clarke cried because her kindergarten crush named Riley didn’t want to be her valentine. Lexa knows that when Clarke is nervous, she chews on her bottom lip, Clarke knows when Lexa is frustrated, she works her jaw from side to side.

The dawn of our history
Clexa || werewolf au
Chapter 5
Clarke and Lexa are trying to knot once again, and they are both starting to grow a little impatient with how long it's taking. Lexa wants this baby, and she wants it now, but it seems like the woman she chose to get her pregnant requires a lot of practice from her before it can happen. And Clarke is on the clock, she needs to get Lexa pregnant as soon as possible, she doesn't want to wait any longer. Then it's family dinner night at the Griffin house so get to meet Clarke's family in this chapter, and boy is it a big family. They are all very close and have a great relationship, its a new dynamic we get to see Clarke in (including with a couple of babies). There's a better look into why Clarke is so desperate for this baby (and how her family feels about it all), so a look into werewolf society and history.

I remember you said farm clexa tell their kids that Santa isn't real since they can't afford to give them lots of presents. However, would they still hang stockings over their fireplace? I think 7 stockings with all their names would be very cute
The adorable little stockings are on the fireplace for sure 🥰 Lexa and Clarke already had theirs, they made them at this workshop in town and they've had it since they got married. And with that workshop in mind, Lexa and Clarke always have a little bonding time together making the stockings for their next little bundle of joy everytime Lexa's expecting. The names are hand stitched by Lexa and they always make sure they are the exact same size and they really love putting all the little knickknacks in the kids' stockings.
Because yeah, they don't have the money to buy more than one main present for each kid - a new toy that's just theirs, a painting set, or a plushie. In their stockings, they can put small things that just make the kids happy. Some chocolates, small handmade plushies, fuzzy socks, hair clips and colorful pens, and just small things that make the kids feel like they have more without Lexa and Clarke having to spend a lot of money. Honestly, they just love going to the market or around the thrift shop, and finding these small things they know the kids are gonna love or even just making small things for them. And they also help the kids with finding stuff for their moms' stockings. Clarke's favorite chocolates, Lexa's favorite candles, a vintage necklace for Lexa, an adorable floral headscarf for Clarke. Drawings and letters written in shaky hand writing. The nice tea from the tea shop Lexa loves, the slightly too expensive coffee Clarke always stares at longingly at the market.
Even Fish has his own little little stocking filed with treats and dog toys ☺️

I never said I wasn't yours is a fave of mine. Would you care to write something from this universe, maybe another parents teachers meeting with Clexa as a couple now. Anything would be much appreciated. Thank you.
Original story here
As morning light broke the grayness of dawn, dew graced the front lawn, and birds chirped the night away. The cat and the dog napped peacefully on the kitchen rug, a pile of fur and soft snoring. Before alarms disturbed the new day, barely a sound could be heard in the house.
But not for lack of trying.
Lexa bit hard on her palm, muffling her moans as Clarke worked diligently between her legs. One hand was tangled in blonde tresses, tugging and pulling, warning her that it was a weekday morning, but nothing deviated Clarke from her goal.
"Clarke," Lexa begged, unashamed, because waking up to her wife going down on her was great, yes, but in less than an hour she would have to drive four kids to three different schools. Clarke met her eyes with her nose buried in Lexa and lifted her head slightly to say,
"Focus on me, my love. It's just us. "We have a little time." Clarke's chin glistened with arousal, and Lexa bit her tongue. Nodded. She kept a palm over her mouth as her head fell back on the pillow, and Clarke made good on her promise. Lexa came with shudders and a whine, and Clarke kissed the trailing end of it.
"I just need a minute," Clarke grunted, and Lexa spread her legs further, inviting, aware of the time but even more aware of her mate. "Fuck, you feel so good," Clarke moaned as Lexa welcomed her, all warmth and want, and left over after glow. "I love you," she whispered into dark hair, and Lexa met her hips in rushed bliss.
Lexa heard the knocking first, her hips stuttering in their search for momentum. Clarke didn't stop, though, as close as she was, rutting mindlessly into her wife.
"Wait." Lexa’s finger grasped at a bulging bicep. "I think I heard something."
"It's just the cat," Clarke panted, her hips always moving. "Babe, please, I'm—"
There was no mistaking the soft knock now, followed by the tiniest voice. "Mommy?"
Lumi. Their youngest.
"Shit," Clarke cursed louder than she wanted, and Lexa widened her eyes at her. "Shit, shit." Clarke pulled out, hard and frustrated, and made her way into the bathroom.
"Don't be so dramatic," Lexa whisper-laughed, covering her nudity with Clarke's robe.
"Says the one who's got to come!" Clarke huffed from the bathroom and closed the door.
Lexa opened the bedroom door to a fidgeting five-year-old, her stuffed rabbit being dragged by the ear at her side.
"Good morning, darling." Lexa picked her up, noticing the frown and pout. "Is everything alright?"
Lumi shook her head and latched her small arms around Lexa's neck. "What happened, baby?" Lexa coaxed her daughter with a peck on the cheek.
"There's something wrong with Serah," Lumi whispered, then pulled back to hug her always-present bunny. "Samson thinks she's sick."
Lexa nodded, making her way down the hallway to the stairs. The twins and Lumi had their bedrooms upstairs, but their just-turned-15-year-old teenager had her own room downstairs. Lumi adored her sister though, and constantly escaped to spend part of the night in the den with Serah.
There was an edge to Lumi, a concern half-formed, as if the youngling did not comprehend the concept of real worry. Lexa bristled. "Why don't you get changed for school, honey? I'll go check on Serah. We already picked your clothes last night, remember?"
Lumi lit up at that, since changing clothes was one of her favorite pastimes. Lexa only wished she would stop doing it in public. "I'll call you for breakfast."
Samson's head bounced on the carpet as the pup ran back to her room. Lexa tightened the robe's knot around her waist and made her way downstairs. Nuggets and Quiet were at the window, fixated on a neighbor leaving for work, and Lexa opened the door to the den. The bed was unmade, which was not atypical. The bathroom’s door was locked, and she heard faint whining.
"Serah? Are you okay? Open the door," she ordered in her mother tone, knocking twice. "Serah."
"Go away."
Well, at least she was alive.
"Serah, open the door."
"I said go away!" The plea was followed by a low growl, and Lexa bristled at the sound. She gritted her teeth, her jaw aching. Her nose itched with something new, something heavy, and she blinked it away.
"Serah, honey, what’s going on? Please open the door."
"Can you call mom?" The growling from the voice was gone, and all that was left was a pitiful wine. Her daughter was in pain, and Lexa rattled on the doorknob, as useless as it would be.
"Are you alright? Serah, please open up."
"Just call mom!" the teen yelled, and Lexa felt a shiver go down her spine. Heavy steps echoed behind Lexa, and she watched Clarke, her hair dripping from her quick shower, climb down the stairs holding a shirtless Lumi.
"She claims her shirt escaped," Clarke said with a grin, but it morphed into a frown when Lexa looked at her. "What’s going on? Lumi said Serah is sick."
"Samson said it," the young omega corrected, and Lexa picked her up.
"She locked herself in the bathroom," Lexa explained in a whisper, adjusting her daughter on her hips. "She’s asking for you."
Clarke’s eyebrows came together in worry, and she stepped up to the bathroom door. Her button-up was outside her jeans, and she was only wearing socks. Lexa made peace with the fact that everyone would be late that morning, and that was just the way mornings went sometimes.
Clarke knocked on the door a couple times, louder than Lexa did. "Honey, it’s me," she called, exchanging a glance with Lexa. "What’s going on?"
"Is mom still there?" Her voice was small and scared, and Lumi tightened her grasp on Lexa’s neck. "I only want to talk to you," Serah completed, a small voice beyond the wood. Lexa shook her head, and Clarke shrugged.
"Start with breakfast and get the kids ready. I’ll deal with this."
Lexa wanted to protest. She was always overprotective of the kids, and Serah would always have a special place in her heart. Serah was her first; it had been only the two of them for five long years.
"Please." Clarke touched Lexa’s shoulder, her palm warm and steady. "She’ll be okay."
Lexa’s jaw ached, but she nodded.
Clarke waited until Lexa had left the basement before knocking on the door again. "It’s just me."
It took a minute, but the door unlocked with a soft click. Clarke took one deep breath and understood, hiding her grimace with a cough.
"Oh, honey. It’s okay." She opened her arms, and slowly, weary, Serah accepted the hug.
The teenager had on a black t-shirt picturing whatever band was hot on the radio. The cloth was damp with sweat, and the collar tugged and pulled enough to sit loosely at her sweaty neck. She had a towel around her waist, one hand holding it tight.
Clarke checked her red eyes, took note of her heated forehead, and helped her to bed.
"When did it start?" Clarke asked, holding one hand next to Serah but giving her the option to touch it or not.
"Sometime last night." Serah’s voice was rough, all gravel and tiredness. "It just…" She hugged her own belly, sniffling. Clarke tried to put a hand on her shoulder, but she shrugged it away. "It hurts."
"I know." Clarke cleared her throat. "I’m going to get supplies and make some phone calls. Why don’t you take a shower and dress up in something light? No tight underwear."
Serah nodded, defeated, in pain, and ashamed. Maybe a little angry.
Yep, all the signs were there.
Clarke made her way back upstairs to find Lexa filling up bowls of cereal. She left the twins to their breakfast and approached Clarke, still in her robe. "What’s going on?"
"She’s alright." Clarke kissed her cheek. "I’ll take the day off to stay with her. Can you pick everyone up today?"
"Clarke, what’s going on?" Lexa’s cheeks were rosy with either anger or fear, and Clarke looked at the twins—who were focused on their sugary meal—and Lumi, who was making her own mess with a banana. She lowered her voice and said the only thing Lexa did not want to hear. "Serah is having her first rut. The first time it’s just pain and being uncomfortable. It will take her another year or so to mature her knot."
Lexa swallowed dryly, nodding, numb.
Her baby was rutting.
"I’ll pick up the twins and Lumi. Can you call Serah’s high school?"
Clarke nodded, her eyes calm and understanding, and Lexa hated her a little bit because of that.
"I know this is not easy for you—"
"It’s worse for her," Lexa said harshly, making her way to the stairs. "She’s at age. It’s normal. It’s normal, right?"
Clarke nodded, following her wife.
"She’s growing up. And she needs you now."
"Lexa…"
"You’re an alpha, she’s an alpha; you deal with this."
Clarke watched her trot up the stairs. She knew that had been a fear in Lexa’s life when it had been just her and Serah; how would Lexa deal with a rutting alpha teenager? Lexa had an entire plan by the time Serah was three, with Abby and Raven as emergency contacts. Everything changed when they reconnected, but that fear, that feeling of not being enough, was still present in Lexa’s heart.
And the plain rejection earlier did not help.
"Lexa?" Clarke called, and Lexa’s shoulders rose as she stopped at the top of the stairs. "She loves you. That never changed."
Lexa’s shoulder lowered, but she didn’t stop, walking straight to their bedroom.
Clarke sighed and palmed her pants in search of her phone. It was going to be a long day.
00000
Lexa had a horrible day.
She couldn’t concentrate at work and didn’t add a single development to any of her cases. She constantly checked her phone for Clarke’s updates, but in the end, that was what really bothered Lexa: there was nothing she could do.
Her baby was growing up and didn’t need her anymore.
At least she had another three that would need her for a little longer, she thought, as she parked the car blasting Paw Patrol’s songs.
"Okay, one more time," Lexa said, eyeing the twins and Lumi through the mirror. "What are the rules?"
"We leave Serah alone," the three repeated in bored monotone.
"Okay, good. Now let’s get inside because your mom made dinner."
The twins look at each other and gag.
"It’s pasta!" Lexa completed, and she watched her boys shrug and run inside. She took her time freeing Lumi from her car seat and followed her children inside.
The house was eerily quiet.
"In here," Clarke called from the kitchen. "Dinner is almost ready." The twins and Lumi had disappeared upstairs. Lexa pecked Clarke’s lips, noticing her sports bra and shorts. "She’s napping. We went for a run. A long run."
Lexa nodded. "Is she… Is she okay? Is she in pain?"
"I asked the boys not to laugh at the icepack on her crotch and warned them their time would come."
Lexa tasted the boiling red sauce and added herbs from their spice cabinet. "Is she not going to join us for dinner?"
"Probably not. She ate some already." Clarke placed her chin over Lexa’s shoulder, stretching a little to do so. "Are you okay?"
"Yes. Busy day."
Clarke hummed, unconvinced. "Let her come to you."
"If she ever does that." Lexa tasted the sauce and added a pinch of salt. She turned to kiss Clarke’s cheek. "Call the kids. It’s ready."
"Don’t take the glory for my dinner."
"It’s canned tomato sauce and pasta, Clarke."
"Which I boiled perfectly to al dente." Laughing, Clarke left to gather their family for dinner. Most of their family, at least.
Serah didn’t leave her room until late in the night. The shower upstairs was running for Clarke. The twins were wrapping up their homework, and Lumi had been asleep for an hour. Lexa scrubbed pasta that had dried in the bottom of the pan, so focused on scrapping the offensive carbs that she didn’t hear the den’s door opening and closing.
"Mom?"
Lexa stopped her endless scrubbing, turning to see Serah by the door. She hug one arm over herself, curls that were the identical copy of Lexa’s damp from a recent shower.
"Hi, love." Lexa dropped the sponge and wiped her hands, her heart full and hurting at the dark circles under Serah’s eyes. She made to hug her daughter, but Serah flinched. Lexa tried to hide the hurt, but Serah’s eyes widened in guilt.
"You smell different," Serah explained. "I wasn’t expecting it."
Lexa breathed easier in relief. "A few things will change about how you scent alphas and omegas. It can be a little jarring at first."
"Mom told me." Serah sat at the kitchen island. "I’m not sure I like it." She wrinkled her nose, tired green searching Lexa and then moving away. "Can I feel it again?" Lexa sat next to her and held her hand. Serah approached carefully, her nose sniffling quietly next to Lexa’s neck. "Is that mom’s claim on you?"
Blushing, Lexa nodded. "Yes. You will be able to tell mated pairs most of the time."
"It’s…" Serah got even closer, her nose brushing Lexa’s skin. Lexa couldn’t resist and kissed the top of her messy curls. "It’s fresh."
Lexa cleared her throat. "Well, I do share a bed with your mother." She felt the heat in her cheeks and watched as Serah pulled back, grimacing.
"Oh my god, am I going to be able to notice when you two—" She fake gagged, and Lexa smirked.
"Not really, and not all the time. But your instincts are wired to notice another alpha’s claim."
Serah closed her eyes and leaned down on the cold marble of the island, her forehead hitting the stone with a soft thud. "This is weird."
"Welcome to adulthood."
Serah turned and looked up at her mom. "I’m sorry about this morning." Her high cheeks were flushed pink. "It was really hurting."
Lexa ran her fingers through her daughter’s hair. She had a fuzzy undercut at her nape that was always soft to the touch. "It’s okay. I was worried about you."
"I’ll do better next time." She straightened up and threw herself into a hug. Lexa accepted it, inhaling the maturing alpha scent from her daughter’s neck. "Do you want to watch a movie downstairs?"
Lexa hugged her closer. More than a decade ago, they would sometimes fall asleep watching something on their bed. When it used to be just the two of them. "Of course."
As Lexa watched some old animation movie with her daughter asleep on her chest, she realized that some changes are for the better. She wasn’t a single mom fighting to be enough for a rebellious teenager; she had a mate and a wife to help her with that. And no matter the changes Serah would go through, she would always be her little girl. Even if she was taller than Lexa already.

Ooooo ooooooh OOOOOOOO
MBFW Lexa after the clexa wedding we all know is going to happen (right? RIGHT???)
In a slinky little white number to actually be able to dance and celebrate with Clarke and their people 🤤 FECK
That dress is just soft enough to pull up above her thighs easily for a little bit of action in the bridal quarters mid-reception when they sneak away for some alone time
It's not going to happen explicitly in the fic, but yeah they do end up married. Eventually. With baaabies 🥰
Anyway, yes very much that. Lexa never has any intention of keeping her dress after the big day, so it kind of gets a bit trashed in their wedding photos 🥴 she makes sure to save enough that there's scrapes of lace and beading left unscathed that Clarke can save for one of her over-the-top art creations or anniversary presents for the future that she knows without even having to ask is coming eventually. (Clarke comes through with a hand stitched and embroidered pocket square for one of Lexa's suits made of the dyed dress scraps for their 10 year anniversary, in case you're wondering)
So naturally that chaotic choice means only one thing in Abby's eyes: buy two dresses 🙃 one for flash and the photography shoot and one for the reception. Where Lexa had been fine heading to their reception and changing into some simple linen pants and a criminally low-cut, loose white blouse, instead Abby surprises her and insists on paying for the second number for her to change into because, quote, "oh, honey. I couldn't let you have your first dance in cotton blend 🙁"
12 years into being a part of this family and the Griffin women still keep Lexa on her toes
