Alma

(This is a lot. Much more than I originally intended. I apologize. I was going to submit this to someone as an 'ask,' but instead, I'll put this out into the nether.)

So, while sipping my morning tea and browsing Twitter, I stumbled upon this that Alma posted in reply to a poetry thread.

Now obviously, the ship part caught my eye simply because of the 'Dent'stiel Valentine Misha sent out last night shortly before about how "Apparently, some ships can't be sunk."

Okay, now that could obviously just be a coincidence, so I smiled about the possibility and then moved on with my life. Whether Alma is Misha or not, and no matter how much I want to know, it isn't something I'd ever talk about ANYWHERE ELSE outside of Tumblr because, c'mon... respect, right?

I've always felt that the goal isn't to out Misha as Alma, but instead to enjoy his musings and feel as though we're getting a look at him through a different lens.

So, that brings me to the next part, which got me about 25% excited about tin hatting and 75% worried for Alma (Misha?).

I stumbled upon this that happened on Feb 10th.

The original tweet has been deleted, but I found where the original poster took a screenshot... of a screenshot... that shows what Alma's reply was in response to.

First things first, and I'm not going to spend much time talking about the person because, frankly, I'm... upset. We'll just use the word upset. I scrolled through their tweets briefly, and it didn't take long to see that she's basically been harassing Misha and spouting nonsense about 'twin flames.' I'm hoping that, at some point, they get the help that they need.

Secondly, I wish people wouldn't have immediately gone in with the 'wrong account buddy' and whatnot. It would have been better for them to send a DM to Alma or at least be a bit more subtle. I just don't want Alma (Misha?!) to feel like they can't be open with their poetry and posts. Don't disappear on us!

Now, I'd like to see what others think, not just about the above, but about this next part.

Whenever I saw that Alma had a Twitter and that they didn't follow Misha, and Misha didn't follow them (like he does on Insta), that made me doubt whether or not they were the same person. Now though, I'm wondering how Alma knew to reply to that thread with "Promise?" in the first place.

It's possible that the Twitter algorithm is to blame for this and that, somehow, this crazy tweet ended up on their newsfeed. That being said, I'm not so sure. It's really pushing me back into thinking Alma might actually be Misha.

Thoughts? (Also, this is my first actual post, so please be easy on me.)

Jensen and Misha don’t collaborate with each other because they whole heartedly trust and believe in the other.

Jensen said so when he said he trusted Misha’s take on Cas’s final scene.

They’ll talk to the other about huge projects, I’m sure. Misha did with Gotham Knights when he asked for Jensen’s opinion about taking the role. And we all have absolutely speculated Misha knew about The Winchesters before anyone else did.

But when one drops a poem book, or a song, the other listens and reads and eats it up like the rest of us do.

Maybe one day we’ll get a collab with them. But they don’t need it. What they do need is support and they absolutely have that with one another

First of all, starting Friday: The Album Drop

...do I need to say more? No? Well too bad, because I'm going to 😂 I'm a huge music freak, been singing since I was four, play guitar and the piano (I didn't say good okay, I'm actually very jealous of Jensen) and I've been obsessed with lyrics for pretty much forever. Alright, call me crazy but this album is so Dean Winchester coded it's unreal. Every song could be put together with Dean and I'm not even joking. You know what's even funnier? THAT THE DAMN SONG JENSEN AND MISHA PUT TOGETHER YESTERDAY COULD VERY WELL END UP AS A RADIO COMPANY SONG. The lyrics definitely needs some work (probably making it more vague), but... come on. The first thing my mind jumped to when I realized what Jensen was singing was Watching Over Me. MOVING ON.

Second: Jensen's answer about the Destiel reunion

This hole thing still drives me crazy. This was probably the clearest answer we've even gotten from Jensen, plus we got confirmation that he'd like to see a Destiel reunion AND ADDRESSING CAS' GOODBYE (I wanna say here that at this point I have no idea how that would play out if it would be something like "Hey buddy, I don't feel that way but I don't wanna lose you" or a full on love confession from Dean... I have no idea and that's okay, because I know Jensen knows how important that confession was to a lot of us, so I trust him not to invalidate Cas' feelings). Now, I paid a little attention to the words he said about maybe seeing it: first, he said that hopefully we'll get to see that at some point, and later he said maybe we won't. This immediately jumped out to me and you know what my brain did? Let me tell you: Jensen said that he doesn't talk about possible project before they aren't under the wraps because he doesn't wanna jinx them. Now hear me out: first, he said maybe we'll get to see it. Then he backtracked. He's talked about a reboot/6-10 episode thing for forever now. He WANTS to come back. My tinhat is firmly in place when I say that I have no doubt he's working on it already, but it isn't greenlit yet (hence the backtrack later). The description was just too specific to be made up out of thin air. (Watch me regretting those words later because I'm just too hopeful.)

Third and last: Whatever that Cockles Panel was

Listen, I could scream about them forever, we all know what went down, the only thing I wanna point out is: When Jensen said "...which is funny because so do I" he looked flustered as hell, we all know that by now. What gets me is that Misha had basically no reaction to this (he looked down, but that's it). So, did they plan something like that? I don't know, I just think it's weird as hell to have no reaction to something like this, especially when it's your "best friend" and he says that in front of hundreds of people.

(Plus, a little side note: still not over how you can SEE Jensens brain working while he's nervously rubbing his thigh.)

I don't even wanna go into the lyrics they wrote together, I've talked about it during the first point already, but something I wanna add is that I loved jensens face journey as Misha first mentioned the brothers but then immediately jumped to "The Angel". That was hilarious and by God, Jensen was planning on throwing together something romantic.

I'm very much not fine as you can tell, but it feels like the universe has shifted after the non-existent finale and now it's our turn. I always try to keep my expectations low, but the album and this whole weekend catapulted me right into the sun, so now all I can see is light and stars and it's wonderful.

Alma and The Price of Love

So much energy--restless energy, pent-up energy, anxious energy.

That has been the vibe of Misha’s flurry of social media posts ever since Jibcon12 ended.

Just imagine, a weekend where you’re living your dream. You’ve never lit up brighter, laughed with more incendiary joy, burned with such fierce beauty..

How can you NOT come down with a thud after this weekend is over?

But come down you do.

Con-goers know well that feeling of the comedown after the emotional highs of a convention weekend. It is a well-known phenomenon. But just imagine if you were him. From those heights of love, how far can one fall? Because the next day you wake up, and he’s gone.

Again.

In “The Price of Love,” which Alma posted not long after Jibcon12, we see that she/he can’t sleep. Those of us who are familiar with Alma’s love poetry have seen this before. The divine and hellish perturbation that comes when your thoughts are obsessively returning to the image of your absent beloved. It’s so hard to come down after bliss. 

Alma’s loneliness, in the bed, alone, the missing, the longing....This is Alma’s familiar pain. In other poems we have learned of the excruciating--even madness-inducing--sense of loss and longing after Alma’s love departs.

“It is dreams of you keeping me awake.” After that exhilarating, utterly exhausting fever dream in Rome, days and nights in Rome, it is their love place, the location of their secret ceremony, of pledging their eternal love to one another, that “magical” blessing.

No wonder Alma must hide tears of loneliness behind the tinted glass--the ever-present sunglasses. When Alma/MC cries, everybody can tell. Their eyes swell up, their nose turns red--there’s no disguising the tears. So when Alma knows the tears are coming, the sunglasses...well, it’s the only way to hide.

[Note: Misha was the only person wearing sunglasses at Jensen’s wedding ceremony. (It was not a bright, sunny time of day.) Here, he watches as Jensen walks down the aisle.]

Alma always makes it clear when she is writing a love poem--her hashtags leave no doubt. This one is heartsick and lovesick. What to do with it? You write it out.

This time though, Alma chooses to create a poem that appears line-by-line, as though we are observing its composition in real time. Alma seems to have aborted the sending of a DM to their beloved--because Alma can’t stop, they realize this is the umpteenth message they have sent to him today, Jesus, why can’t I stop sending a message every few minutes? C’mon, stop it, these messages aren’t even noteworthy, it’s just trivia, the minutiae of daily life! He’ll get sick of me, it’s ridiculous, take it back, take it back.....

So instead of sending the message to him, we get Alma turning it into a poem, one that appears and then disappears, creation and destruction all in the same frame.

All because Alma misses him so much, it’s maddening, it’s awful, it’s obsessive, can’t sleep, can’t think, thoughts keep returning like a needle stuck in the grooves of a record, the mother of learning is repetition, returning to what Alma knows and loves best.

Once again, Alma tallies up the emotional, physical, spiritual cost of this love, and finds the price is indeed dear, but Alma will always pay.

Every. Single. Time.

So it’s a fact that Misha moved in with Jensen in 2017 and whether or not it was a ‘cockles’ thing or just convenience (!?) do you have any idea if this is when Misha and Vicki also unofficially split up … I seem to recall seeing somewhere that they had split some time before he mentioned it in ‘some things…’

Well, I think from what he said in STISCTY, it was evident that their split wasn’t new. But that didn’t mean it still doesn’t hurt. Here is a man in his forties, who hadn’t been single since he was a teenager because he’d been with the same woman all that time.

I’m the March 2021 online con that CE had, he talked about how they just moved into a new place in/near LA. I think this was Vicki’s new place because where she filed the paperwork, requires a three month residency before you can submit it.

Plus, at this time, he had just bought a house a few months prior, that isn’t in/near LA. And they had already sold the first house (the one he had rebuilt) summer 2020.

So these are all relatively recent events that, to me, further prove they had been separated for a while.

Now, on to your actual question.

Yes, I do think that’s when they unofficially split up.

It was talked about how in that M&G where he said he had just moved to Vancouver, that he and Vicki had spent all day moving him into his new place with his “model friend.”

Now, the house in Bellingham was like an hour, or less, from Vancouver. He’d talked about how he went home every night after work, and how sometimes he’d sleep on the couch or the guest room if he didn’t want to wake anyone up, if it was too late.

Now two years after buying that house would he suddenly need a new full time residence?

Because you don’t spend all day moving your stuff to your buddy’s apartment if you’re just crashing after long days of filming rather than making the hour drive.

You take a few changes of clothes, toiletries, and maybe a new mementos or knickknacks. Because you’d be driving home at least every weekend to see your wife and kids. Plus he didn’t even film every day.

But you take all of your stuff if you and your wife aren’t together anymore and she’s going to stay there at that house so that on weekends or whenever, you can come down to see your kids.

And here’s the other thing.

Which I literally was yelling at someone a few hours before I got this ask.

WHY DID THE MULTIMILLIONAIRE MOVE IN WITH HIS MULTIMILLIONAIRE BESTIE RATHER THAN JUST GET HIS OWN APARTMENT? AND WHY HIDE IT??

Because if they had casually said at any point how Misha crashes at Jensen’s after a long night of filming rather than driving back home… no one would bat an eye. Because Misha would joke he was too cheap to pay for an apartment he wasn’t living in regularly.

Even Jared has talked about Misha has spent the night at his house.

The Js lived together for the first few years. They never hid it.

Cockles is really the only reason to hide that they lived together. 🤷‍♀️
