Tried to clean these up, but could only do so much. Still, he’s cuter than a bug in a rug.

There was a new DOOM game that took place inside a college dorm, and instead of demons, Doomguy fought very large rats.

Hey, so, I just moved into my college dorm?? Crazy. Anyway here’s things that happened that I could see the losers doing
After getting 1/3 the way unpacked my aunt was like “okay now who wants to go thrift shopping?” and we did, iconic, also totally Beverly core. (The thrift store was great. One of the biggest Value Villages I’ve ever been in.)
Waiting in the laundry room for 45 minutes stressed over whether or not I should leave or stay in fear of my clothes being stolen is very Stanley
But also the fact that I had to wash everything I brought again because I REALLY don’t want the campus crud is so Eddie
My mom ate half an edible, unbeknownst to me, halfway through the day and I spent the whole rest of the day being confused why she was so giggly or tearing up (I figured it was because I was moving away. I was wrong.) Anyway Richie Tozier is actually my mother
My aunt told somebody in the elevator that he looked Mormon and then laughed… I don’t even know who to relate this to, I just can’t believe that happened

things in my dark academic room
This isn't meant as a 'suggestion' list (but feel free to take it as such if you'd like). These are just things I do because it makes me feel more confident and put-together!

Waterfall lights hanging over a blood-red curtain, to give late-night studying a more fantasy-novel dorm room feel
Old mason jars filled with crystals and sea glass from adventures long past. Tall jars stocked with fancy pens and stained paintbrushes
Candles. An unnerving number of candles.
A sizable chunk of smoky quartz, gifted to me from a friend whom I helped pass Statistics
Small, delicate angel statuettes. When I was a little boy, my grandmother put them around my room for protection.
Stacks of books (quite obviously), but especially the stack of battered, thrifted ecology and wildlife identification books I've collected over the years (since long before my decision to study the natural sciences)
A four-generation family photograph, taken with relatives I barely got a chance to know
Several ornate wooden lockboxes, protecting anything I hold dear to me

This was my desk setup for my freshman year - pretty simple since I just used my laptop. even though my room was pretty small (~90sqft), and trapezoidal, i kinda miss it ... but I'll be living in an apartment with a bigger room next sem and I'm getting a monitor!!! super exciting things
