Number 13 from my #mothtober is the incredible Comet Moth of Madagascar Moon Moth (October is a state of mind, these will def be taking me more than one month due to ~secret news for later~)
From the saturniidae family. They have a wingspan of 20cm and a tail span of 15 cm. They inhabit the deepest part of the Madagascan rainforest, they are becoming endangered due to their habitat loss.
Another work day done, another moth sketched. This time a comet moth, another favourite of mine. Elements of this design were taken form an older art of mine, and if you remember that piece - cool! It's one I'm still proud of. (they/them pronouns for this one, k thx)
Actually relistened to John’s initial description when Arthur materializes in the Dreamlands. I didn’t quite capture the energy of it to me, but the colors are pleasing! (To be fair, I *love* the Dreamlands arc and would probably not have been satisfied no matter how it turned out.)
