If you play Hogwarts Legacy I will block you on sight.
Even if you pirate it.
The lives of trans people and jewish people are much more important than Blood Libel Simulator the game.
Harry Potter needs to die already, because how can you possibly feel comfortable supporting a franchise created by a racist, ableist, TERF that is using the money and support for her stupid IP to further her bigotry to make the lives of trans people worse.
The game is literally stopping an uprising from an enslaved race that are BLATANT antisemitic stereotypes. At a time where antisemitic hate crimes and rhetorics are on the rise. And you are stopping them from kidnapping wizard children, aka blood libel. Something that has been used to justify KILLING jewish people.
How can you possibly feel comfortable playing a game like that? How could you ENJOY playing a game lile that?
How fucking hard is it to not play the game? That is the bare fucking minimum you can do to support jewish and trans people!
So if you play the game, either by buying it or piracy. BLOCK ME RIGHT NOW YOU FUCKING ASSHOLES
Hey! I read you're a bug enthusiast and biologist, so I was wandering...
if you were studying the plague beetles with Julian, what would your theories on the beetles be?
Knowing what we know now? The beetles are hematophagous and a host for the bacteria that causes the red plague, and they infect humans by injecting their bodily fluids (ie. saliva, excrements or hemolymph) into blood after opening a wound by biting, much like chagas disease or malaria. Humans are another host for the bacteria which spreads through blood.
Julian got the plague without being bitten because his body absorbed the beetle's fluids and allowed the microbes to get into his circulatory system, much like tapeworm eggs do if you consume infected meat.
Edit: like @agnes-neko-shipper added, it's likely the beetle's fluids got into Julian's bloodstream through a cut in his digestive track (considering it's a pretty big bug) instead of through digestion
Edit ii: there definitely was magic involved! Both for the beetles and for the bacteria. No normal microbe would cause hemorrhage to be that bright red
Faye, champion of the Jötnar, and her best friends Helga and Floki (Angrbodas parents).
---
I've been thinking about Faye a lot and what her past would have looked like. I wonder if she had an equally hard time with her prophecy as Atreus did since she too was once a kid.
I imagine her living with the other giants in Ironwood when she was young, two of them being her best friends; even after they learned their prophecies.
I've enjoyed trying to design Angrbodas parents a lot! Let me know what you think of them!
“why can’t I make money off my fic on ao3” because it’s what caused the fanfic purges in the first place. it is borderline, if not totally, illegal. you will tank the site for yourself and everyone else.
ao3 is already fighting for its LIFE across various courts/jurisdictions to make sure you have the right to upload whatever the hell you want. the only reason they’ve won so far is because their TOS ban direct profit off of characters/media.
I have... so many emotions on interpreting the professors relationship with Arven. Please hold. 😭
There are so many ways to think about it. On one hand they actually did love and care about their son. On the other hand they loved and cared about their work more and ultimately chose it over their own kid.
In this screenshot Turo says he needs more people. He isn't inherently concerned that Arvens mother left her son, he's concerned that he lost a worker.
In this screenshot the wording makes it out that he values his son and his work equally... But personally it feels obvious which is more important (work).
Not to mention the multiple security protocols that the professor installed to protect the time machine. I doubt they would go to such lengths for Arven.
I didn't screenshot it but I believe there was another entry hinting to the idea of them having Arven growing up and working for them. Working towards their research and not having a normal life or childhood...
Yet I still feel like they definitely loved their son, just couldn't dedicate their life to him.
Which, you know, fucking sucks and they should not have done that. They were terrible parents in the end and honestly it kinda sounds like it from the begining as well.
Atleast they tried though, because they did spend time with Arven when they lived at the lighthouse. Arven isn't wrong at all when he says he feels like it was the legendarys fault for taking his parent from him. Thats literally what happend; it reminded them of what was more important to them, work.
Kind of amused by Bustier being the Mayor. Like, did no one else run? Someone with zero experience in politics, no fame, no resources, teaches the most-akumatized class in Paris, participated in the corruption of the last administration by not punishing the ex-mayors daughter, also didn't pay enough attention to know two students had been cheating in her class for actual years.
