the only thing the hobbit movies had going for it was an airtight casting, the occasional fun moment where it really feels like the dwarves and bilbo were acting like comrades on a cool adventure, and also some inexplicably fruity moments between bilbo and thorin. other than that it's truly astounding how much they managed to ruin everything 😐
