Dee had been stuck in the middle of his parents constant fighting and arguing since the death of his sister. His mother blamed Dee for his sister's death. Dee's father tried to protect him from his mother but it would usually ended up with Dee and his father being beaten. This continued for Dee's whole childhood. Dee grew extremely close to his father and never wanted to be away from him. It got to the point that Dee's need to be near his father affected his school work which angered his mother. Dee was sent to a boarding school for  children with behavioural problems like anger issues and kids who did illegal things. Dee was there until his thirteenth birthday. His mother had pulled him out of the school and instead had him work in her little cafe she owned. However anytime he'd make a mistake his mother would take him to the back of the kitchen where no one would see and she would beat him. That continued until his fifteenth birthday when you had went into the kitchen at the exact moment she was pulling Dee out of the freezer. You could see his skin was pale and discoloring. His lips and fingernails were turning blue and he was shivering so badly. Dee just stood there shivering as he avoided looking up as his mother yelled and both you and him.
