I feel like mnet can take a note or two from shows like CYZJ on how to make an artists survival show. Yeah CYZJ wasn't the best but it was probably the only survival type show that I had little to no stress watching. PLUS all the interactions make my little heart happy

You can clearly see the chemistry and dynamics between each contestant and the character development from that awkwardness to them joking around each other.

Like remember how carats were SO hyped seeing Jun and Minghao meeting Samuel again? Man, good times

I mentally can no longer handle intense amounts of tension which is why I refuse to watch GSI,, but at the same time I wanna see fun interactions between the bands

So yeah, gimme more fun interactions and less about battling against each other

the one thing that stuck with me from cyzj was the conversation between jun and yanan about yanan pulling out and yanan voicing so much of his struggle concerning his anxiety in front of jun and jun, despite not really knowing what to say or do, managing to say the right thing when he tells yanan “you’re someone worth waiting for”

#idk it's one thing i would have killed to hear some of my (past) friends say to me in the heights of my worst anxiety episodes #(i still wish someone would say this to me but alas)#you feel like you fall behind and hold people up so much and you feel so guilty for it so for someone to really see you and say you're worth #that patience you try and give everyone else while hurtling yourself along is so touching and just such a ... idk comforting thing to say #as much as i didn't like some fo the reality tv trauma dumping stuff cyzj aired i do respect someone opening up about their struggle #bc that is hard as hell and harder to do in front of a (new) friend #i could ramble more but i won't #al.txt

🎧 watching CYZJ (Chinese reality/contest show) used to frustrate me a lot because i found they spoke too fast for me to understand anything, even words i already know, but that isn't the case anymore!!! 😇 still a long way to go, but i'm very happy with my steady progress ☺️

📝📝📝 Japanese lessons (happy to report my listening skills are freaking awesome 😎 lol, meanwhile my reading in any of the 3 writing systems is shit 💩)

hi!! i was wondering if u could do the ship game 4 me <3 i can be introverted but around ppl i know im veryy loud and extroverted. i love reading, listening to music, and romance movies/romance in general im a hopeless romantic😭 i love journalling, thrifting, just doing calm things, shopping and i also love cooking/baking id say im a good chef/baker! i can be really clingy and im kinda like the baby of my friend group/immature sometimes lol. i hope im doing this right!! <3

i would ship you with jun!

he generally comes across as someone who's pretty quiet but we've seen him being louder, more outgoing and showing a more playful side when he's around the people he's comfortable with.

he also loves reading (thinking about seungkwan's post on wv about how he was eating ramen with his head bowed because he was holding his book in his left hand) and he's often seen reading novels on his phone.

jun definitely gives me romantic guy vibes! i think he's someone who's very thoughtful and attentive and usually does things for the ones he loves and cares about silently, their trainee days where he made breakfast for the rest of the boys before they left for school, him not using peanuts for the food he cooked so that vernon can also eat with them, him covering the edge of the table so that the other members won't accidentally bump into it. just the fact that he pays attention to all these little things makes me believe that he'd be someone that would be very into small romantic gestures. also the fact that he's such a loyal person to the point where he would rather sacrifice himself than choose a different partner says it all really (re: when he was on cyzj).

i think you enjoying doing calm things would be helpful for jun because minghao has mentioned before that jun has a more anxious personality, so maybe you can introduce him to your hobbies to help him learn how he can calm himself down whenever he feels the need to.

jun is someone who enjoys cooking (him buying his own hotpot kit and his little hotdog cooker), he's shown interest in making different types of food and even made his own soy milk during ITS. if he doesn't already know how to bake, he'd surely be interested in learning from you or at least be an assistant to you while you're baking.

i think he would actually like that you're clingy because it makes him feel like you're reliant on him, it kind of goes back to the part where he's always quietly taking care of people really. 🥺

he also has an immature side himself so the two of you would have a lot of fun, silly moments together!

sometimes i randomly remember that instead of 'cute, innocent, funny guy' jun's fandom-assigned archetype used to be 'narcissistic fuckboy' back until like 2018ish 🧍‍♀️

#do baby carats know about this? lol those were dark times #like there were definitely some things that were better and simpler about the fandom back then but also a lot of shitty things too lol #idk what's wild to me about it is like. u see this kind of change in perception a lot bc rookie idols get assigned these roles #that don't fully suit them. but when they're a few years in they're allowed to grow out of that and show more of their actual personality #like mh is a good example of this bc he's said he was marketed as the 'little cutie' and u can see that if u go back and watch old content #but honestly i don't think this perception of jun was really pushed by plds?#like i guess they might have labeled him as a handsome/cool member so that's probably where it came from #but i feel like it was carats that took it to a whole different level that was frankly kind of gross #like when i FIRST watched svt content i got the impression that jun was kind of a greasy guy based on the way fans talked about him #but what's wild is if u go back and watch old svt content it doesn't feel like jun himself acts that differently compared to now?#like he was still very cute and innocent back then. and even now he'll still hype up his own looks #i feel like the main thing that's changed is he's learned some tact for when and where to say things + he's gained confidence #which is wild considering at the time ppl saw jun as confident almost to the point of excess #and then u watch cyzj and the whole thing is about him building confidence!! esp for performing by himself!!!#i think that's why that show was such a big turning point in how carats (including myself) saw him #SORRY this was meant to be a funny post about wow how were ppl so wrong about jun's personality back then?#but it turned into me rambling in the tags again skjfd #tbf i've been good about not doing that as much so i'll give myself a pass lol #melia.txt

LIMBO thoughts

i love it. jun’s voice is gorgeous in it, the spoken parts add to the song’s atmosphere instead of being cringey, the drama of the instrumental and chorus are THERE !!! and the hook of “dream in a dream, sweet dream” is easily my favourite part of the song. it’s sensual, it’s dramatic, it’s intriguing. i think it’s pretty well known i love mid-tempo songs, and this one is right up in my alley. the lyrics are just the perfect blend of the word limbo as well as the concept junhui also portrayed in the mv. that deepest, most emerged part of dreaming where you’re stuck between knowing you dream and thinking you don’t (hello, inception.) it reminds me a bit of spider but even more it reminds me of songs like sexuality by taemin or thriller by monsta x just from the vibes of the soundscape + featured visuals. i love music that sounds a little jarring and unusual to the ear at first, especially when the visual concept accompanying it illustrates that.

the mv is amazing. best mv released by svt this year. the art direction is a perfect merge of taemin’s criminal, ruby by woozi, any nct u vcr and monsta x’s fatal love era. it’s just toes the line between things we have seen before in the genre with things we haven’t seen before from jun. a lot of fans think jun is super shy or just the ballad type, but from cyzj to jun’s parts in fear to svt’s wave it has been shown that jun loves creating dramatic performances and images on stage. this is where he thrives as a performer and dancer. it’s why, when i watch this mv, all i can see is him, despite the visual nods to other work. same with the song. that’s all him.

tldr: i think the song is a great solo offering from him, i want much more of this from svt / pfu. the mv is gorgeous and dramatic and he deserves every praise he can get for it because it’s clear he worked his ass off. also i prefer the chinese version over the korean one.

but if i had to pick one part of his personality i think what really got me and was showcased super well in cyzj was just how caring and attentive he is. his whole friendship with yanan seriously got me like 😭😭😭😭😭
