davao museum of history and ethnography perpetuating racial myths about indigenous philippine populations. a lot of these so-called “pure” negritos in the philippines, as we now know from current genetic studies, are actually the product of pre-austronesian/first sundaland peoples AND austronesian peoples. almost all populations in the philippines—both recognized negritos and non-negritos—are admixed to varying degrees with pre-austronesian and austronesian ancestry.

hopefully the davao museum updates this part of their mural timeline.
