Reginald Lied — He Didn’t Purposefully Adopt New Children

At the end of S2, the siblings make it to 2019 only to discover that their father has adopted 6 new children (plus Ben). We all assumed that due to their disastrous dinner back in 1963 (and potentially Diego’s words to Grace) that Reggie decided the Umbrellas were failures and not worth adopting again.

But, in S3, we learn new information. All the Umbrellas’ mothers died before they were born. This means that Reggie lied, or at least bent the truth when he said he picked different kids — he never even got the chance to adopt them in the first place.

Now, you can say, but he could have still planned to adopt different kids so what does it matter? But I don’t think that was even the case. Bear with me, this is a little long.

In the UA universe, changes to the timeline happen immediately.

What I mean by that is that is if you make a change to the past and jump forward, you see that change applied — you don’t have to wait 50 years for the timeline to catch up. Once a decision is made, time adapts around it and the future automatically reacts to that change. Whatever butterfly effect, whatever new decisions made, are automatically played out. We see this when the Umbrellas mess around in the 60s and then jump to 2019 and all the changes they made effected the timeline.

The only thing that we’ve seen that changes a timeline once it’s set in motion is time travel. In S1, Five shows up and tells Luther about the apocalypse then goes off with the Handler. This changes the timeline. From there, we see that change automatically effect the timeline in the Day that Wasn’t.

Then Five comes back and undoes the day. If he’d jumped to the end of the day, he would have automatically landed in the events we saw — Klaus finding Dave, Vanya finding the book, Allison and Luther dancing in the moonlight, etc. Instead though, he jumped to the beginning of the day and changed the whole thing.

Okay. Changes to the timeline automatically and instantly affect the entire timeline. The only thing that derails that is more time travel. Back to the main point.

Reggie still planned to adopt the siblings even after they met in the 60s.

The fateful “Light Supper” happens midway through S2. The Umbrellas make a bad impression and then DO NOT interact further with their father. So any changes they made should have already changed the timeline as the season progresses.

Except they dont.

A few episodes later, Five and Luther confront Old Man Five and OG Five opens a portal home. And notably, NOTHING HAS CHANGED. The Umbrellas are still adopted, Klaus still throws a fire extinguisher, Viktor is still poised to destroy the world. You’ll note that the apocalypse in the 60s also didn’t happen. That’s because Diego already time traveled in with the info they needed. So while the rest of the siblings were trying to reach LSD Viktor, they’d already saved the world as far as the timeline was concerned. Five opening the portal proved that. From the moment Diego landed in Allison’s living room, the world was effectively saved.

At this point in the show, they’d already had the disastrous dinner and never met their father again, but we see he still adopted them and raised them the same.

What Changed?

So what changed the timeline? The only thing that could have — more time travel, namely the Commission. This is speculation of course, but the Commission attack on the barn must have changed something for Harlan. Maybe in the original timeline Viktor is less tired from killing half the Commission and gets the whole marigold. Maybe without seeing the danger first hand Sissy and Harlan go to 2019 or maybe Harlan is just less traumatized and handles his powers better. We don’t know.

But we do know that the future only changed after the Five v Five fight which was after the dinner with Reggie. If given the choice, he would have still adopted the Umbrellas and just lied to save face after he couldn’t find them as babies.

1. what does your muse smell like ?

Klaus leaned fully into the quintessential hippie aesthetic somewhere in his late teens by covering up the scent of weed with incense. Even sober he still smells mildly of patchouli and, very faintly, cigarette smoke. He’s a clean freak who loves, loves, loves bubble baths, and takes a bath daily in a variety of wonderfully scented oils, soaps, and salts.

2. what do your muse’s hands feel like ?

Soft and warm. Klaus’s whole body temperature runs warm, a stark contrast to the forces with which he fellowships. There’s a callus on the bottom of his left palm, from writing and drawing. and his left ring finger is a little warped at center from holding pencils and pens. Klaus’s touch is also furtive and gentle, even if it’s also frequent and needy.

3. what does your muse usually eat in a day ?

Klaus is a junk food to nutritious food convert (due largely to the company he kept during his stint in the 60s). He isn’t a vegan or vegetarian, but he does aim for gluten and dairy free foods (he’s lactose intolerant), as well as minimally processed and organic foods. However he can be found eating junk food on special occasions and he still relies heavily on takeout. Ethnic foods are a staple (Mexican, Indian, Korean, Vietnamese, and Chinese are his favorites). He can always be tempted to eat donuts because of their nostalgic associations. The QUANTITY of food he consumes is what amazes most people, particularly as it never seems to change his svelte figure and trim waistline. Even when he’s sober this is the case, leading his loved ones to suspect that his ability to manipulate and channel forces of life and death somehow burns calories at an alarming rate.

4. does your muse have a good singing voice ?

Klaus is a competent singer, and at his best when crooning soft ballads or lullaby-like melodies. He isn’t a prodigy, but his voice is always pleasant and on-pitch, unless he’s drunk and really belting something out karaoke-style. His voice has a natural vibrato because it has a natural tremor, and that adds to its kind of wistful, haunting quality.

5. does your muse have any bad habits or nervous ticks ?

I mean, where do I begin? LOL. The substance abuse habit is self-evident. Klaus also picks at calluses on his legs, and pulls off hangnails by himself. He occasionally bites his nails, when in withdrawal. He jiggles his legs. He frequently circulates his homestead naked or in just his underwear. He tucks his hair behind his ears when he’s nervous, worried, embarrassed or upset. He talks, whistles, and sings to himself. He hangs off of loved ones physically, clinging on when they might prefer distance. He’s pathologically conflict-avoidant and would sometimes rather be considered an asshole than simply open up about and explain his feelings, especially if they run counter to a loved one’s wishes.

6. what does your muse usually look like / wear?

Klaus is haute-couture, even if he has to fish it out of a Goodwill bin. He has no set style as long as it’s contemporarily relevant and provocative. If he’s in the sixties, he’s a hippie. If he’s in the 2010s, he’s goth/”eurotrash.” He likes comfort, so he will lean toward soft, luxurious, and snuggly fabrics. He hates shoes and only wears them when necessary, which means he has a lot of slip-ons and sandals, with the occasional Converse or boot. In his current mainverse, he’s re-embraced the hippie look, with occasional forays into undefinably “artsy” categories. Crop tops are frequent. Dusters and oversized jackets are frequent. So are patterns, batiks and sequins. You’ll see him in gender-fluid attire, often pairing a skirt with the tops mentioned, or wearing a spaghetti-strapped dress. Jewelry is usually piles of long necklaces plus Dave’s dog tags, and bracelets made of glass or wooden beads. Very boho.

7. Is your muse affectionate? How much? How so?

Extremely, both physically and verbally. He may at first feign sardonic indifference, but once it’s clear his affection is appreciated, even reciprocated, you won’t get him off you. He likes hugs, kisses, and legitimate full-body snuggles. This has been true since childhood, as it’s the one surefire way to distinguish the dead from the living.

He will also make you things: particularly ceramic vessels or knit clothing (especially scarves and mittens) as a way of demonstrating his desire to take care of you. He might try to cook, and he’s surprisingly good at that when he’s sober.

Finally he will give you quality time. He will sit with you in silent solidarity as long as you need it. He will listen to you without limit. And he will offer what advice he can, and chances are, if you’re a younger person in the same position he once was, that advice will be lucid and comforting.

8. what position does your muse sleep in?

Klaus is a side or back sleeper alone, flinging himself down anywhere in a tangle of long limbs. With others, he will be more adaptable.

9. could you hear your muse in the hallway from another room ?

Lmao absolutely. Even if Klaus isn’t being loud and obnoxious, his voice projects and his charisma lures most people right in.

You think I’m having the time of my life sitting here and watching you like this?” Or, Five takes a moment to catch his breath in 1963, and manages to lose it all over again in 2019. TUA ship stats

Just a quick and dirty bit of statistics of the Umbrella Academy relationship fic on AO3, for my own amusement...

I cut these off at ships with 50 or more fics, and found the tags by looking at what came up in the first 9 pages of TUA fic on AO3, plus those that were the top suggestions in the ‘Sort and filter’ bar.

Tags were not filtered at all, no differentiation is made between main ships and minor ships. I didn’t include OT3 or more multiples, because honestly at some point the number of possible combinations made my head want to explode (that said, if anyone wants to run the numbers and let me know, feel free!).

POC don’t appear in the lineup until #3 (Diego/Klaus), after which we’ve got Diego/Eudora (both POC), Allison/Luther, Ben/Klaus, Diego/Lila (both POC), Diego/Reader, Five/Diego, Ray/Allison (both POC), Diego/Vanya, Diego/OC, Allison/Vanya, Vanya/Ben, Diego/Ben (both POC), Five/Ben, Diego/OFC, Diego/Luther.

Of the 16 ships featuring a POC, Diego is one of the pairing in 10 of them. Diego is also the most shippable, apparently, appearing in 10 different pairings compared to Five’s 8, Vanya’s 6, and Klaus's 5.

There are 12 M/F pairings, 9 M/M pairings, 2 F/F pairings, and three ‘Other’ (e.g. [character]/Reader). For info, I put Five/Dolores into the M/F category, as he refers to her by a female name/pronoun.

1/8 extended family anon: okay with one question about five you've made me flesh out this world. He's a kid. So they do have powers and Reginald raises them as per canon, five jumps to the apocalypse BUT there's no time cops in this au. Instead after a few years of slowly practising his time jumps he makes his way back to Reginald's funeral. It takes him forever to get the hang of it bc he's not exactly eating and resting well + trauma but he gets there bc he has to get back and warn his family!

Under the cut because it got it bit long. I fucking love this AU though.

2/? So he crashes the funeral but he's like 15-16 and a very unhealthy child due to the apocalypse being not a great place to grow up. Without the commission making things more difficult the siblings (eventually) figure out what's going on. There's a tense stand-off w Vanya but it goes better bc they do it earlier w/out the interference and in the end the whole apocalypse becomes a non-issue. after finding out about her powers and her ex-boyfriend's shiftiness (she's probably not

3/? the one to kill him bc i feel like that way doomsday lies. Five does it instead bc he's just as feral even without being a trained assassin) Vanya goes on a road trip to find herself. On this road trip she meets Sissy and Harlan. Meanwhile five is legally a child and all of his siblings want to make sure he's being properly looked after. Five who survived 2-3 years by himself in the apocalypse disagrees about the need for a guardian. Alison who actually has a child is doing what she can

4/? but between travelling regularly across country to visit Claire (she probably meets Ray while travelling) and the chaos of the sibling dynamic it isn’t ideal. Grace isn't doing great at parenting either bc while they're working to fix her programming it's not fully fixed yet. Pogo is also there being Pogo. Diego's around a lot bc of Grace (plus his siblings but he's not going to say that) but is not parenting. Neither is Luther bc five doesn't respect him as an authority figure.

5/? Klaus is also not doing parenting but is somewhat? around bc family and bc he wants support while he tries to get sober. (he still ends up in Vietnam at some point but through a natural or five made time portal bc no commission. When he gets back he makes five (who has some control of time travel and hasn't been taught not to fuck w the timeline) go back to rescue Dave). Ben is probably still ghosting around unless he did what he did for Vanya in s2 in this s1. Patch didn't die

6/? bc no time cops and maybe they meet Lila organically since she's their super power sibling. They both end up as vaguely part of the family. Vanya gets back from her lesbian road trip months after she left to find the Great Five Should Go to Therapy Debate in full swing. She tries to deescalate by offering to go if he does. Bc he's a vindictive asshole he says he'll only go if everyone goes, and as soon as anyone stops, he does too. This is how they all get professional help bc I demand it.

7/? The end result is thanksgivings look like 5 adopted adult siblings, 1 terrifying teenage adopted sibling, (maybe a ghost,) 1 robot mother, 1 talking monkey, 2 spouses from the present, and 1 from the 60s, 2 children/stepchildren, 1 extra sibling who didn't get adopted but found later, and 1 detective who nobody knows why she's here but they're all thrilled she is

.8/8 Also Hazel is a regular office drone or a CIA agent or something who met Agnes, fell in love, and quit his job. Sometimes they also show up. The final important detail is Sissy and Grace are good friends.

9/8 extended family anon, the other final important point is thinking about five in his late teens dealing with this very large family and his nice and nephew especially

Five spent years in the apocalypse totally alone, and now he has the biggest family ever. He not-so-secretly loves it.

About Hazel: he’s the CIA agent (or something alone those lines) that got assigned to investigate all the weird shit the Hargreeves stirred up, like maybe energy disturbances with Five/Vanya’s powers. Five spends a lot of time at Griddy’s, so maybe he even kind of helps him and Agnes get together. Either way, when Five kills Leonard, Hazel is able to make it look like self-defence so it doesn’t go to trial (which it sort of is, but Five is still kind of... vicious about the whole thing and loses himself). He sends a Christmas card every year reminding Five not to get into any more trouble. Not that Five would listen.

Also I need to see Sissy, Patch, Dave and Ray meeting everyone in this AU, good lord. Klaus might not really know what to do, parenting wise, but I bet Dave would try his best, even if he’s wayyy out of his depths. Same with Sissy and Ray. Thankfully, Five has more patience with his in-laws than his siblings, simply because he knows he has to be semi-polite to them to avoid chasing them off.

This one’s a little late because I’ve just started work again this month! Thank you again to all the fandom content creatures for giving us an escape. Here are the best fics I read in August and they’re all bangers. This rec includes 13 fics from the One Direction, Teen Wolf, and Umbrella Academy fandoms. The starred ones are fics I would drop in front of your door if I was your cat.

Larry (One Direction)

Louis Tomlinson was the only gay and unfortunate staff member chosen to step in for one of the six possible partners when someone dropped out. Nothing would come out of it, surely, and they even agreed to keep his identity a secret.

That all changed when famous singer Harry Styles walked out. Louis had no idea who he was, and Harry liked that about him.

If you were to go looking for Klaus, you wouldn't look to the alleys where drugs are bought, or to a rave where you could lose yourself in dance, no. No, you would look to his garden full of protective herbs, to his bedroom at three in the morning where he tends to make magic amulets. Klaus grew into his power, both as a witch, and as the Séance.

9. Tombstones In Their Eyes by @siriuspiggyback | disabled Klaus - despite themselves this family can care! - hurt/comfort - angst with a happy ending - 12k

His siblings don't pay a lot of attention to Klaus, don't notice the dog tags and new tattoos, but even the Hargreeves have to notice a missing limb.

10. *Choirs Threaten in Voices I Only Feel* by @veteranklaus | hey veteranklaus? I’d die for you - blind Klaus - I love how this fic changes Harold Jenkins - Ben as a seeing eye ghost? perfection! - 61k

The last time Klaus saw his siblings was at Allison and Patrick's wedding. A lot had changed since then; including the not-so-accidental, irreversible loss of his sight.

There's no time to tell them that, though. Not with the return of their long-presumed-dead brother and the impending apocalypse. Plus, it doesn't matter. He's got Ben as a good seeing-eye ghost.

11. *Numbers (series)* by @veteranklaus | this series legit made me disocciate for a few days especially since I just finished The Accident by Wiesel - the Holocaust is a trigger warning - very dark - the writing is literally award-winning, like the research done? the empathy paid to the characters? god tier!! I’ve written several research papers on post/during-holocaust times and i just want to applaud you for the work you’ve done in writing this - 2+ parts

The briefcase transports Klaus into a time to fall in love with a bookshop owner and photography enthusiast with soft amber eyes and a yellow star sewn into all of his clothes. And later, Klaus will stand next to that same man behind a fence, and he'll hold his hands up to a camera and pray to a merciless god that his siblings open a history book and find him.

12. *At the Edge of the Universe* by @veteranklaus | this is turning into a veteranklaus rec post but i don’t care - this is the life Klaus and Dave deserved!!! - the gays are really winning today y’all - cottagecore but make it the 1970s - 58k+

There is a knock at the door. With a heavy sigh, Klaus untangles himself from the mess of Dave's limbs with a mutter of 'I've got it'. They rarely get visitors out here, their closest neighbour being about three miles away, and Klaus didn't even hear a car or see any headlights outside.

He opens his door, expecting to see old Mrs Richards asking for one of the dog treats they always keep for the occasions her dog runs off. He does not, however, expect to see his siblings - all of them, standing outside his door. Well, Five is being held up by Diego, and Vanya is being carried by Luther, but they are all there, on his doorstep, on this evening in 1970.

13. Counting Down The Days To Go by @siriuspiggyback | sick Klaus - sibling bonding - Klaus goes to therapy - there are some lines that just kick the breath out of you - 24k

It started off small. Easy to explain away. That was his downfall, in the end. By the time they diagnosed him, it was too late; the cancer had gotten a tight hold on his body.

Klaus wouldn't tell his siblings, not yet, no matter how much Ben begged him. He wanted to feel as normal as he could, for as long as he could.

my thoughts on season 2

or rather, a list of things i didn’t like about it and a few things i did. spoiler warning, of course :~)

hello friends, thank you for joining me on my journey to convince the world to hate season 2 - I’M KIDDING LOL i liked season 2, but there are quite a few things i wasn’t that happy with and i’m going to cry about them like a baby now.

1. my second biggest disappoint with this season... NO HAZEL!!! i’m devastated!!!! i absolutely love hazel’s character and the depth cameron britton brought to the role.. i can’t believe they killed him so quickly :( maybe cameron had other work commitments but man i’m so sad. i seriously felt the lack of his presence this season and it was a dynamic that was sorely missed imo. the swedes could never.

2. the plot moved slower than i’d like. season 1 was very well paced, it felt non-stop, and like they were always working towards a goal, moving somewhere. some parts of season 2 felt slow or like things had come to a standstill and we were just watching them live rather than seeing them work towards something. which is fine if that’s what you’re into, but for me i think TUA works best when it’s GOGOGO like in season 1, and when it wasn’t, we had really intimate character moments, which i felt season 2 lacked.

3. the music didn’t hit as hard :( when i think of season 1 i can immediatley name a multitude of iconic scenes with the soundtrack - five murdering everyone in the doughnut shop, the bowling alley fight, i think we’re alone now OF COURSE, the slowmo montage to all die young, hazel and chacha burning the prosthetics building, gerard’s cover of happy together, five walking through the apocalypse to noel gallagher, run boy run, etcetcetc. those all just came off the top of my head. when thinking about season 2 i can only name two scenes off the top of my head (frank sinatra and backstreet boys). which is pretty sad.

4. the characterisation felt weaker overall. it didn’t feel as complex or deep whereas i felt season 1 really delved into each character and explored them a lot more. they all felt slightly watered down, especially luther, oh my god!! they turned him into a characeture whose only purpose is to eat a lot of food and pull silly faces. that was really disappointing. i’d hoped we’d get some scenes with him where he’d discuss all the pressure put on him by their dad, the guilt he feels for screwing up, insecurity etc. the scene with him and five in the club only scratched the surface. plus, allison only mentioned her daughter two times? it was really bizarre to me, it literally seemed like she’d forgotten about her. and speaking of forgetting family members...

5. why does nobody give a shit about ben. i’m fuMING. they all saw ben in the season 1 finale and then they didn’t even care to mention him other than five asking if ben was there once, only once the family were all back together mind you, and when klaus said no, none of them even questioned it. despite the fact that klaus very clearly is talking/bickering with a spirit in front of them several times. none of the are like ‘uuhh klaus are you talking to ben or like...’ and that is really goddamn sad. ben deserved so much better.

6. ben’s arc in general! this is my biggest disappointment with this season. personally i’d really hoped they’d go the route that klaus would learn to control his powers and manifest ben in the real world for limited periods of time, like when ben punched him in the face or when ben pulled klaus and diego out from under the falling roof of the academy. and then eventually, when the show ended, ben could ~move on~ and go to the afterlife after being able to spend time with his family. but nooo. he’s back to being invisible, uncared about, forgotten and miserable. i like that they let him possess klaus for a bit and experience the world again, that was nice. though when it turned out klaus had already slept with his crush and she called him d*ddy i did my bigget sigh ever. and he’s just gone now. he doesn’t even get to go to heaven. he’s just. nothing. and vanya is the only one who even acknowledged it (other than klaus obviously). i swear to god, if season 3 doesn’t do a scene where klaus ~dies~ for a bit and goes to the afterlife again and sees ben there, i will RIOT.

7. didn’t much like klaus’ storyline this season either. the cult thing was a bit weird and wasn’t done in the way i’d expected them to do it at all. i thought klaus would be a lot more sombre and serious this season too without the drugs to distract him, but he still acted high and Quirky the whole time, which is a shame, i’d love to have seen some more depth added to his character. plus, i thought he took the drugs because the ghosts were always bothering him.. we literally didn’t see any other than ben. also the stuff with dave was... Not Good. the kid they cast as dave had zero chemistry with klaus/robert, and he looked super young so it was.. kind of weird to see klaus be all like I AM IN LOVE WITH YOU. and i don’t think it even went anywhere. it just seemed pointless to me.

8. i felt like the fallout from the previous season was really glossed over. like vanya just forgot everything and everyone else is kinda like *shrugs* ah well. idk man i feel like there would’ve been a much bigger emotional cost and internal turmoil than there was.

9. i hated the ending. sorry. it felt really ~generic superhero story~, as did the siblings vs commission thing in the last episode, which TUA isn’t supposed to be. and emo ‘ben’ made me cringe gfhjskkdfj. plus the oopsy we did a timeline fucky thing is getting a lil old now but whatever. plus the sparrow academy means a bunch of new characters which means screentime will get even more split from the main siblings, which i don’t want.

so yeah.. i have some gripes with season 2. that said....

i did like some things!! i loved vanya having a female love interest, hell yeah. i loved five meeting old five, their dynamic was really fun and the dude who played old five was great, i feel like he really delivered his lines the same way aidan does. lila was cool too, i really liked the actress, she did great. seeing the siblings get closer was really nice too.

overall, i’d give the season a 6.5/10, so yeah, i did still enjoy it!!! i just don’t think it was as good as season 1, by quite a long way, and i have some things i didn’t like. feel free to disagree with me tho, i’m just a big dumb idiot. and thanks for reading :~)

most of my endings are happyish, but more bittersweet? I would probably have to say Every Time We Touch, the ending for that is borderline fluff

I genuinely forgot for a minute but yes I have! I wrote lay me down in the river (wash this place away), which is tua/star wars. it barely counts though, on the basis that i don’t like star wars much, so basically just picked out the bits i wanted and ignored the rest flkdslfjs

mm i’ve received a couple of rude comments but who hasn’t

I kind of do, but my smut is generally just several feels on top of each other, wearing a trench coat

tbh not sure I have one? the one i’ve written the most is Klaus/Dave, so i guess them

probably Charlie Tries to Get Better, which is the time i tried writing IASIP, which I found really hard but also really interesting

What are your writing strengths?

hmm. probably figuring out endings? generally if I’ve gotten through the middle bit, I can always finish a fic

What are your writing weaknesses?

facial expressions. I always forget, and then have to go back through and add some in.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

it’s very cool and if I was fluent in anything but english I would be doing it all the time

I think MCU? that’s definitely the first I published at least

What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

might be the obvious choice, but i would have to go with Counting Down The Days To Go just because the response I got was phenomenal

Alright I'm doing it again I guess... Just finished tua season 2 and here are my thoughts. Gonna break it down by characters probably. Spoilers Warning now!!!

1. Luther- didn't like him last season didn't get any better this season. He always looks so confused and worried and he just gets on my nerves plain and simple. Plus his sister crush is weird...ugh. I feel like he didn't really a purpose but being disproportionate.

2. Diego- yeah so I actually really liked Diego the first season the hero complex was always there but he was really annoying about it with this one. I kept waiting for him to like do something great and save the day but nay. However the bullet thing was pretty cool I will admit. It made me very sad when Reginald was hella mean to him and triggered his stutter. I think they made worried about the wrong things like lila(not a fan but I'll get into that later) also wth why was there no klaus and diego interactions no ma'am I was waiting for that.

3. Allison- liked her a whole lot better and I think it's because of ray they were great. I feel like she really put herself into the 60s and was making a difference I really liked that. The whole staring at the moon bit had me worried but I think ray helped her get over that weird affliction she had...ugh. Lowkey not too much to say on her I feel she was okay I guess.

4. Klaus- as always a joy a pleasure. He will always be my fav. Him being a cult leader made so much sense and I would totally join tf. Anyways yeah the dave thing I'm upset about cause I really wished he had gotten through to him and joined his cult lowkey. But of course they don't want klaus to be happy they have to break his sobriety whyyyy. Speaking of not giving klaus a break I was very shook to say the least when ben died frfr who's gonna be klaus's moral compass and then that flashback😭

5. Five- five was five. I didn't really like him last season but this season he was ok I guess. Idk when I'm watching a show I kinda see the actor's and not the characters and adian is just an interesting fella so it distracted me. Like this is a weird nitpick but the whole time he was doing this weird walk thing that was bothering me then I thought about I was like oh yeah he's old but then old man him showed up and did not walk like that at all I was confused why he made that choice idk he was alright tho

6. Ben- ben's always great of course. I really wanted him to be with jill but in a normal way ya know. However him dying was very unnecessary for him to be alive at the end looking all emo cause they screwed up the tl. Like fr why did he look like that I giggled a bit

7. Vanya- to me vanya is a very bland character more so in season 1 though. She definitely got better with the help of sissy. This relationship felt more natural than that mess from season 1 even though she's married. Umm the whole idk who I am thing was kind of drawn out but I guess. I'm really just glad her power still worked and it wasn't no hulk in infinity war situation. She was also tolerable.

Non siblings:

Harlan- LOVED HIM. This might sound stupid but I've always loved the silent types like ferb from phineas and ferb was my fav. He was great I think the actor did such a good job portraying such emotion and not even talking. Theory alert: The end where he still has his power has to be in connection to the Sparrow Academy I feel it.

Reg- WTF...that's all

Lila- the goddamn bang omggg she was not likeable I'm sorry. Not a fan end of story.

Pogo- very cute. I got really sad when he almost died in space but the saved him whew I was waiting on him to say his first word but they left that out for some reason.

Swedish Bros- I felt sooooo bad for the last one he really had to kill his brother with his bare hands..cold

Elliot- actually I take back my previous statement f them they took my man elliot for no reason dawg. He was so sweet and helpful but I knew it was coming cause they can never let those kind of people live on Netflix (yeah I'm looking at you Stranger Things)

Herb- another great one I'm glad he didn't die instead a promotion a whole king he deserved it.

Overall though I liked it at times it seemed kinda slow I felt like they had no urgency at all even though they were in danger which was kind of irritating. The Reginald reveal and the end was kind of random I don't read the comics so idk but I was like huh. But it makes sense at least for the tl to be freaked they were telling all kind of info. I almost like I was expecting something completely different but it was still good. Definitely liked the first one more though. Robert Sheehan is everything so yeah.
