I think all the fucking time about Mr. Stewart and his assistant and how he does all these random ass rhymes and poems and shit and you can't tell if he can actually talk or if he's like fucked up and can only whisper and that's why he's got the mask. Then later when you talk to him he's just a dude that talks normally and it was his assistant doing that shit by himself the whole time.

A while before the sequel came out, I made this as a sort of goodbye to the Director’s Cut's canon. I wasn't a huge fan of how little we got to know about that ‘Old Man Zach,’ but it would’ve been cool to learn more... Plus, I made the teeny tiny little inclusion of... (cough) Thomas surviving & becoming his wife & having a family together (cough).
Yeah, that’s the granddaughter from the DC. Since we never saw the daughter, I put my personal detective OC’s design in a few of the family photos. I’d have never made her without DP, so it fits. (That’s also the right squirrel key on the desk; I like easter eggs)

Hello everyone! I come bearing gifts!
I started ripping a handful of textures from my Steam copy of Deadly Premonition The Director’s Cut for my own reference, but as I found more and more fun little discoveries, I decided to grab everything I could to share with you all! This includes a downloadable version of the main font used in game!
More information can be found in the text file in the zip folder. Enjoy!

playing deadly premonition so far this game is really sweet and fun lol it's been quite the hassle to actually get a version of the game that works and is good and doesn't make me feel like i'm missing out on the "original experience" since this game's rereleases have been a mess from the very beginning.
for now i just went with the pc (gog) version of director's cut, which shares the same savefile with origins... which is a switch port of director's cut, only without the extra (noncanon apparently?) content. switch version was fine and serviceable until i hit the lag spikes where i could excuse it in my head as an fsr experience but i said ahhh fuck it ill just get the pc version
i tried to run the xb360 verison on xenia first too and it seemed to be fine only the graphics weren't rendered properly whcih was a shame

alright, so i'm planning on injesting mostly horror media this October (as is usual for me) and i've decided to document my experiences all month starting now.
so, first is Deadly Premonition. i've played this all the way through before and played it partially many times. i'm now replaying it, switching off control with a person i'm dating. we're talking OG btw, not the director's cut (which i want to play, but still haven't due to not having a pc yet)
to me, this is the perfect video game equivalent of a so-bad-it's-good movie.
Quality: 3/10
Fun: 9/10
Scares: 0/10
these ones are, arguably, not horror in any conventional sense, but i'm counting them anyway:
Naked Lunch (novel) by William S Burroughs is a deranged and surreal piece loaded with social commentary, sexual violence, and slurs. when reading it, i found myself baffled and repulsed. i couldn't discern if what i was listening to was just being edgy or utilizing shocking language and imagery to communicate a point. however, after getting all the way through the book and doing some cursory research on Boroughs himself, i find myself with an understanding and appreciation of the piece. it's a literary classic for good reason, and i would never reccomend it to anyone.
Quality: 8/10
Fun: 4/10
Scares: 9/10
Naked Lunch (movie) by David Cronenberg is an interesting blend of elements of the novel and elements from William S. Boroughs' real life. it is in conversation with the original text and its author in a way very fitting to Boroughs.
Quality: 10/10
Fun: 8/10
Scares: 8/10
more to come!

Why the hell both director's cut and the original cutscenes of deadly premonition be good and shit at the same time with their color grading...

i think i’m starting to come to terms that deadly premonition 2 exists? i wrote it off because i like the directors cut ending better but making zach someone whos clearly struggling with trauma in 2 was very interesting

Okay so finally got Deadly Premonition to actually work on my laptop with the game gods blessings lets see how well this works out. I only ever get a bit into the game which honestly everything in this game is just a trip and a half. Like whispering twin angels and York talking to Zach (?) All the while you have him talking about Tom and Jerry the cartoon and how they have co dependancy issues as he drives very fast in the rain looking at crime scene pics on his laptop like what the fuck.

Also finding it intriguing with how harshly York is criticizing civilization overtaking nature when in the first game he kept on insulting Greenvale for being primitive and stuff
