Demon King - Part 2
Shutendoji!Chuuya x Reader
Continuation of this.
Tw: Yandere, dub-con, mentions of blood, cannibalism and violence
[A.N: This got way too long, and isn't very yandere-y, imo. But its been in my head for a while, and I hope you guys like it!]
Tumblr media
In a certain way, being the wife of the Drunken Demon wasn’t all that bad.
You’d reached this conclusion on a silent night like this one, padding through the corridors by yourself. Chuuya’s – Manor? Castle? You weren’t quite sure – was far bigger than the quarters to which you were confined, quarters that were nevertheless larger than your entire home back in your village. They were a picture of comfort: there was a massive canopied bed, piled high with the softest pillows for you to sleep on; magical lamps illuminated the place, neither dimming nor burning out no matter how long they were kept lit. A roaring fire kept you warm in the winters, and hidden vents that kept you cool in the summer. There was always food and water, fresh and clean and delicious. You had your own bath, with more running water than you could have ever used in your entire life, heated or cooled to your body temperature. Chuuya brought you books to read, parchment to paint, any manner of things to pass the time, things that you couldn’t ever have imagined owning. He’d even allowed you a garden, though you weren’t to go there in his absence. He loved to spoil you, giving you everything you could possibly ask for; he was kind, and patient, indulging your idlest whim and your most irrational desires.
The only thing he denied you was your freedom.
You sighed, sinking down upon your bed. At one time, the loneliness had frightened you. Stories of the Drunken Demon had consumed your mind, and you’d spent countless hours curled up in a corner, crying and shaking and throwing up from the sheer terror of what he would do to you. Now, you relished these moments of solitude, times when Chuuya wasn’t clinging to your waist or brushing your hair or fucking you senseless wherever he could. The bruises and love-bites littering your skin, proof of his demented love, delighted him to a frenzy. Your cheeks still burned at the memory of hours the two of you had spent locked in a tangle of limbs, lost in the throes of pleasure, worlds removed from the puritanical teachings of your wifely duties drilled into your head during your early years. As with everything else, you’d gotten used to it – that part of your ‘marriage’ had been shamefully easy to get used to – but you knew what inevitably lay next. Either Chuuya would grow tired of you... or he would impregnate you. You’d never liked the idea of children, but the thought of raising half-demon offspring filled you with dread.
How long has it been? you wondered. Weeks? Months? A year? Despite the massive windows – always shut for your safety, of course, but still allowing you a view of the walled gardens – it was difficult to gauge the passage of time, since the path of the sun and moon didn’t seem to be that consistent in the demon world. You couldn’t help but wonder: did your family miss you, or did they think you dead? If Chuuya had truly bought you from them – and despite your adamant refusals to his face, you had to admit your family would have easily sold you off – then what tale had he spun to them? What exactly had they thought of Chuuya himself?
The thought of your ‘husband’ still sent shivers down your spine. It was difficult to wrap your head around the idea of being the wife of Shuten Doji, a demon so terrifying that people had trembled at the very sound of his name. Even though Chuuya wasn’t that Shuten Doji, he was still insanely powerful: on the rare occasion that Chuuya had taken you out in public, arm wrapped firmly around your waist, you’d been awed by the sight of great and dreadful demons sinking to their knees before him, not even daring to look upon his face. You’d seen him fight, tearing apart beasts and monsters twice his size with his bare hands, a maniacal grin on his face, red marks dancing upon his skin, reminders of his power. It had been incredible to witness and terrifying to comprehend.
The sound of the door opening jolted you from your thoughts. You tensed as a pair of muscular arms wrapped around you, Chuuya’s now-familiar from pressing against your back.
“Hey, [Y/N],” he murmured in your ear. “I’m back. Did you miss me?”
“Good evening, Chuuya.” You reached up to caress his cheek. “Yes, I missed you very much.”
“Good. I missed you too.” He pressed kisses upon the side of your neck. “So, what were you doing all day? You haven’t finished that watercolor you were working on. I thought you liked that stuff.”
“I… was thinking of you.” You closed your eyes as his hands began to wander. “I guess I lost track of time.”
“Aw, that’s sweet.” Chuuya molded himself to you even tighter. “I know the feeling. I can’t get you out of my head either, you know that? I love you so much, miss you so much, it’s almost annoying sometimes. Sometimes I wish I could carry you around with me, you know? Put you in my pocket so that I can look at you wherever I go. Wouldn’t you like that, [Y/N]?”
“It would be nice.” You shifted slightly, trying to put some distance between the two of you as surreptitiously as you could. He was just so close: his hands were splayed upon your belly, chest flush against your back, chin resting in the crook of your neck. Chuuya responded with a small growl, nipping at your ear.
“Stop it,” he murmured. “I haven’t seen you since this morning. You want to be with me, don’t you?”
“Of course,” you said quickly. “But, I just, um—” Your eye fell upon the gourd of sake sitting in the corner— “I just thought you might like a drink.”
“Hm? Why not?” To your relief, Chuuya loosened his grip on you, leaning back to recline lazily on the bed. His eyes, however, followed your every movement, his gaze hungry.
“Come here,” he said as you proffered the sake to him. “You know I don’t like drinkin’ alone.”
You pursed your lips. You didn’t like the demon lord’s wine; while Chuuya claimed it wasn’t made from human blood, he also wouldn’t tell you exactly where it came from. Nevertheless, you settled into his embrace once again, allowing him to wrap an arm around you. Chuuya began playing with the sash of your kimono.
“You seem distracted tonight, [Y/N],” he said, playing with the sash of your kimono. “Is something wrong?”
“No, nothing’s wrong.”
“You’re usually way more sarcastic than you’re being right now. Did anything happen? Are you unhappy? Do you want something?”
“No.” You bit your lip as the silken fabric gave way all too easily under his sharp nails, allowing his hands to brush against your breast. “I’m happy to be with you. I don’t want anything right now.”
“Then drink.” He held the sake to your lips invitingly. It was rich and dark and far too potent for your liking, making your head spin with a single sip. You grabbed his wrist to stop him, making him laugh.
“Still so weak,” he said. “But you should drink more. It’ll make you feel better.”
“I’m fine.”
“That’s what you always say. I’m starting to feel like that’s code for something.”
He set aside the gourd, lowering his head to your breasts. Slowly, with agonizing tenderness, he began suckling on the pebbled flesh, drawing a keening moan from your lips.
“C-Chuuya,” you said. “Please.”
“Please what? You want me to stop?”
“No, but—” Your breath hitched as Chuuya returned to his ministrations, fist tightening in his hair. He was good, so good, that it was almost frightening. His hands wandered your body, sending sparks dancing in their wake. You arced your back, forgetting your hesitations as your mind sank deeper into a pleasurable haze. As you let out another moan, Chuuya hummed in approval.
“I want you, [Y/N],” he mumbled against your skin. “I want you so much it hurts sometimes. You’re so beautiful, so kind, so perfect in every way. I’ve seen my fair share of princesses and noble women, but none of ‘em hold a candle to you, you know that?”
“T—Thank you.” You looked away, embarrassed by his praise. Even after the level of intimacy between the two of you, it was still difficult to talk to him. There was a wide gulf between the two of you, a gulf you didn’t think you could ever cross.
Chuuya raised himself on his forearms to look at you. Your eyes flitted to his bare chest and his well-sculpted body, a being that once had been only a dream. Heat flooded your face, pleasure and panic tangling in your chest, and his smile widened.
“You like me too, don’t you?” he purred. “Course you do. I still remember the first time I brought you here. You were so scared then, such a shy little mouse. Now you’re not so scared, are you? Now you love me.”
“Yes.”
“Say it.”
“I love you.”
He chuckled delightedly, swooping to press his forehead against yours. “I love you too,” he whispered against your lips. “I’ll give you anything and everything you want. A slip of moonlight? A bed of gold? The heads of every man in the world laid out at your feet? All you have to do is ask.”
You gazed upon him, into his guileless, grey-blue eyes. “I want to go home,” you whispered.
Chuuya paused, sitting up. Your heart sank, and you braced yourself for the incoming onslaught of begging and accusations.
“Home,” he said flatly. “You want to go… to your human home.”
“Not because I don’t love you,” you said quickly. “But – I am a human, Chuuya. I’m not a demon like you. I can’t live locked up forever like this.”
“Neither can demons.” He reached out to trace patterns along your shoulders, his tone oddly flat. “A demon’s world is far bigger than that of any human. I could show you things, places, people you couldn’t even imagine. You know the only reason I keep you locked up is because you continue to resist me.”
“I don’t resist you,” you pointed out hopelessly. “I live with you; I sleep with you. I call myself your wife! What more do you want?”
“There is more.” Chuuya leaned in closer, a strange light in his eyes.” There is a ritual – a proper ritual to join the two of us for all of eternity. If you’d only agree to that, then we’d be mates for the rest of our lives.”
“A ritual?” You stared at him. “You mean you want to turn me into a demon?”
“Its not as bad as the humans believe.”
“I believe that too!” You pulled away, filled with a sickening dread. Some part of you had realized this, but it was horrifying to hear it from his lips nevertheless. “I’m not going to turn into a demon, Chuuya! You can’t do that to me.”
“Why not?” He laughed bitterly. “You think you’re still purely a human?”
“I’m not… changed.” Your eyes filled with tears as you met his gaze. “I may have been with you, but I’m still me.”
“And you think that’s all you’ve done?” He loomed over you suddenly, the room seeming to fill with shadows. Flickers of red ran up his face and down his chest and arms, reflecting the red in his eyes. “You’ve eaten demon food, taken a demon’s seed inside you.” He raised his arm, showing you a thin scar that ran along its length. “You’ve drank my blood.”
Your blood ran cold at the sight. “No,” you said hoarsely. “Even then, I—I’m not a demon.”
Chuuya’s mouth tightened. You shrank back, terrified, only for him to pull away abruptly. “Fine,” he said, getting off the bed. “If you want to go home so bad, then let’s go home.”
“Wait, I’m sorry!” You sat up, alarmed. “Wait, please, I–I—"
“What?” He turned to you. “I thought you wanted to see your family.”
“I do, but…”
“I’m not going to hurt them, [Y/N].” He smiled, a rictus snarl. “I promise. Now come here.”
Something in his words made your hair stand on end “Yes, m—my lord,” you said, hurrying towards him.
“I’ve told you, [Y/N].” He wrapped his arms around you, pressing a hand over your eyes. “Call me Chuuya.”
The air changed. It grew cold. The wind rustled your hair, making you blink. As Chuuya pulled his hand away, you looked around, eyes smarting from the chill in the air.
You were standing on a hill overlooking a glittering city.
“Where are we?” you asked, voice trembling.
“Don’t you recognize it?” Chuuya waved a hand at the town laid out below. “Your village.”
“But—” You took a step forward, peering down at the twinkling network of lights. “No, it’s not. My village was pretty small. That is some great city.”
“That is a small place compared to the cities of today. But maybe you need more convincing.” He grasped your hand again, and in the blink of an eye you were standing in front of a shrine. Your village’s shrine.
But it was changed. Lichen covered the gates, moss creeping through the cracks in the ground. But more than that was the tall light that stood just outside the gate, a little flat plate just beneath it.
“It – those lights,” you said. “Those are the lights from your palace.”
“They’re called electric lights, and they’re not exclusive to my palace.” Chuuya crossed his arms. “The world has moved on, [Y/N]. It’s been a couple of hundred years since I took you, give or take a decade.”
“No!” You turned to him, aghast. “No, it – you’re lying!”
“Well, you’re welcome to go down into town and ask people, if you don’t believe me. Or read that plaque over there. Or even wander the world if that’s what you want. But you’ll find that I’m tellin’ the truth. You’ve been my wife for over two hundred years now.”
“No!” You turned a full circle, scanning the scene for someone, something, to prove him wrong. Your eyes met Chuuya’s, and the pain and resignation in them made you pause. “You’re… not lying,” you said blankly.
“No.” He shook his head with a small smile. “I wouldn’t lie to you, [Y/N], it’s not my style. I’d have told you outright if your family was around – I’m not afraid of any of them, no one will ever keep you from me. But they’re not there anymore.”
“But – why?” You sank to the leaf-strewn ground, shaking, your vision blurry with tears. “Why would you do to me?”
“Because you are not listening to me.” Chuuya sank to his knees beside you, embracing you. “You’re mine. You belong to me. You were always meant to be with me. You just needed to lose everything to understand that.”

The soft, comforting sheets shifted below you as you moved, your limbs moving on instinct to bless you with the sensation of a good morning's stretch. Your bare feet stuck out from under the blanket and your mouth opened wide for a yawn. It had been a good night, the best in a while, as the relief of knowing that you wouldn’t have to do anything of importance the next day melted all your tension away. And it was even better when you woke up next to him.
The right side of the bed was rarely empty, as life had gotten relatively normal recently. Though the events that occurred a year ago still lingered in the air and in the minds of those involved, you were sure everyone appreciated the tranquility that followed. Especially him.
You slowly turned to him and smiled to yourself softly. There he was, eyes closed, the usual creases between his eyebrows gone, and his mouth slightly agape as he breathed. You had only recently started seeing him like this, sleeping so soundly without worry. It brought you some peace of mind. After all that had happened, after everything he had lost, he deserved it.
No matter how many times you woke up next to him, you were always entranced by his features, especially when he looked so at peace like this. You were certain that the nightmares still haunted him, and they probably would continue doing so for years to come, but the sight of him sleeping next to you in serenity at least told you that he felt safe enough to let his guard down with you. That alone made you the happiest person in Japan.
His face was so enticing, you couldn’t help but place your hand on his cheek and continue looking at him fondly. Kiryu barely shifted at your action, too absorbed in his dream. Your eyes ran over the details of his handsome face. He looked as stoic as ever, save for the tiniest twitch of his eyebrows every now and then. His breathing was steady and quiet, and thin strands of dark hair kissed his forehead. You smiled to yourself once again.
He was quite adorable.
Caressing your thumb along his cheek, you spoke gently: “Kazuma.” No response.
You withheld a laugh. In a way, it felt rude to wake him up from his peaceful slumber, but you also wanted to see his dark eyes looking at you with the adoration you had come to love almost as much as the man himself. So you tried again:
“Kazumaa…” You drawled at him again, adding some melody to your quiet voice. His closed eyes twitched slightly, but they did not yet open. You pouted and moved closer, curling some of your fingers behind his neck, the tips making contact with the short strands of his hair.
You found yourself smiling more as you heard him groan softly, finally responding to your voice. He shifted, readjusting his position slightly, but his eyes remained closed. In fact, you thought you noticed him squeezing them shut even further as he sunk deeper into the pillow.
Instinctively, though rather lazily, Kiryu put one of his strong arms around you in a way you were familiar with. It gave you the opportunity to shuffle even closer to him, to the point where your noses were almost touching.
It felt special to have him so close to you. You could see how he relaxed his otherwise tense muscles became around you, and how your presence brought him the comfort he most certainly needed. He was always on edge, for reasons that had become clear to you over time, and had to maintain that Dragon of Dojima spirit he had become so renowned for. It was a part of him, yes, but you had always felt like perhaps he never expected or asked for such a title.
To you, however, he was just Kazuma Kiryu. A man with a heart of gold that you’d do anything for. If only he knew how lucky you felt.
Fueled by your thoughts of affection, you pressed your lips to his in a kiss so chaste and faint, it left you wondering if you should have been more daring with it as when you went to pull away, you already missed his lips.
Kiryu’s hold on you tightened, and all doubt in your mind of him still being asleep got washed away when he rolled onto his back, effortlessly laying you on his chest. His arms were securely wrapped around your form and finally, his eyes fluttered open. Your hands quickly found his face again.
“Good morning, handsome.”
Kiryu’s lips twitched slightly upward at your greeting, one of his hands sliding to the small of your back. “Good morning.”
God, you loved that deep voice of his, even more so when the raspiness of the morning accompanied it. You couldn’t resist the urge to kiss him again, and he returned it in the way you were used to.
Pressing your ear against his chest, you listened to his steady heartbeat and traced his arm and shoulder with your digits. His gentle hand rubbed your back in the most comforting way.
“How did you sleep?” You asked. It had become somewhat of a habit of yours, especially after the times his sleep was plagued by nightmares. He rarely told you about them, but you always knew.
“Good. I slept good,” he replied, briefly glancing at the time and quirking one of his eyebrows. “Don’t you have work today?”
You shook your head against his chest before lifting it up to meet his warm gaze with your own. “I have the day off,” you announced, to which Kiryu let the faintest chuckle of what to you sounded almost like relief.
“That’s good to hear.” His brown eyes softened as he looked at you, his comforting touch at your back almost lulling you back to sleep. You took in the kind glow in his irises, wondering how they could ever be used to scare street thugs away. You of course had seen how he used his stern scowl to fend off attackers, and it made you appreciate moments like these even more.
“We can do anything we want, Kazuma,” you said with a small giggle, bringing your hands to his perfectly sculpted shoulders, and thinking of all the possible things you could spend the day doing.
Kiryu’s eyes wandered to the door at the other end of the room, eyebrows frowning the tiniest amount as if he were buried in his thoughts for a brief moment. “Do you think…” He began, quickly drifting his eyes towards you again. “...Haruka is still asleep?”
Oh?
Your eyes widened slightly at his somewhat out-of-the-blue question and the twinge of warmth on his face told you more than words ever could. That was quite bold, for him anyway.
With a small grin, you turned your head towards the door, his question and the implications behind it echoing in your head loudly. You giggled to yourself as your thoughts traveled farther than you should have allowed them to. With a playful sparkle in your eyes, you looked at him as you dawned on an idea.
“Shower?”
Kiryu looked at you for a moment, seemingly surprised at your proposal, but his expression quickly melted, and he gave you a firm nod, before lifting the blanket off the both of you. Your hands lingered on his chest as you raised yourself from the comfort it had given you.
As you got up, Kiryu held your hand, as he so often did. It was one of those little habits of his own. And you adored it. He was not the best with his words when it came to affection, but the small physical things he did told you all you needed to know. He held your hand when you walked, played with your hair when you cuddled, had his protective arms around you when you cried, and held you close when you slept.
All of that and more was the reason you loved him so.
Whilst he led you to the bathroom by your hand, your eyes fixated on his irezumi that beautifully adorned his back. The way the ink twisted and distorted with the flow of his muscles as he walked was almost hypnotizing, it was impossible to look away. The dragon that watched his back was stunning, the intricate details always blew you away and pulled you back in. And the fact that such fierce imagery was carried by the most kind-hearted and loving man you had ever met gave it an all-new meaning in your mind.
You could stare at it for hours.
Kiryu flinched ever so slightly when he felt your hand on his back, and as he turned to you at speeds fueled by sudden surprise, you immediately retreated your hand and gave him an apologetic look.
“Sorry.” You hadn’t meant to startle him in the slightest, you had just been so absorbed in your thoughts that you let your muscles move on their own. “It’s just… So beautiful,” you concluded, keeping your eyes on the image at his back.
Kiryu let out a brief chuckle, your words sticking to him like tar. It was not the first time you had expressed your adoration for his irezumi, but every time, he felt a tingle in his core.
“It’s not the only beautiful thing here.”
You couldn’t help but let out a small laugh at his reply. It was very… Him. Traditional, maybe a little cheesy, but oh so endearing. You never got tired of it.
With warmth on your cheeks, you spoke:
“Very smooth, Kaz,” you teased and your free hand found his chest again. “You’re getting better at this.”
Kiryu huffed and rolled his eyes softly, chiding himself for forgetting how much you enjoyed toying with him like this. Despite his outward reaction though, he found it charming.
“Thank you for your input.” The sarcasm and humor in his voice weren’t lost on you, and you found yourself laughing once more as he opened the bathroom door. Though you couldn’t see it, he was smiling as well, thanks to the pleasant sound that was your laughter.
His hand finally left yours as you closed the door behind you, eager to start the day in the right way with him. Probable ulterior motives aside, you really did only crave a shower, but you were glad that he was willing to join you.
You walked up to him again, eyes locking with his. Kiryu held onto your waist, while your hands were on his broad shoulders. No words were exchanged, nor did they need to. You could spend hours just looking into his eyes that had seen so much. Too much, even.
The pain was not fully gone, you surmised, and you didn’t expect it to be so for a long time. You were however proud of how far he had come. He had lost so much, but he pulled himself up and tried to make things right for Haruka and you despite everything. It was admirable, but you also wanted him to know that you were willing to share some of that burden with him.
You were sure he knew this and saw it in your efforts. He was an observant man, after all.
Kiryu loosened his hold and glanced at the shower behind him. “Shall we?” You smiled and nodded.
Before he had time to do anything else though, you brought your lips to his ear, sending shivers down his spine with your whispers:
“Remember Kazuma,” your fingers lightly traced the muscles on his shoulders and neck.
“We have time.”

[Yasuchika Route]

read this before interacting with my posts
Yasuchika: Hey, Yuno.
I was surprised by his alluring gaze.
Yasuchika: I’m going to bet all my tokens this round. Will you reward me if I win?
(Reward… I wonder what he’ll ask for?)
I nodded in response to his suggestive words that made my cheeks heat up.
Yuno: … Okay. I will.
Yasuchika: Thanks. I’ll win for sure.
Yasuchika’s eyes sparkled brightly in the darkness of the night.
Yasuchika: Alrighty. I shall go get ready.
Yuno: Get ready?
Yasuchika stood up and approached the huge ayakashi waiting in the arena.
He smiled.
Yasuchika: Excuse me. Can I swap places with you?
(Yasuchika!?)
Giant: You can’t do that.
Yasuchika: I’ll give you this in return. It’s a strand of Shuten Doji’s hair.
Giant: …! That’s impossible to resist. I’ll allow it just this once.
(He bribed it so easily! Does this mean Yasuchika wants to compete as a wrestler?)
(But his opponent is…)
I turned my gaze onto his opponent, who was standing on the other side of the arena.
It’s body was made of rock and it looked really burly.
Rock Ayakashi: Don’t mock me. There’s no way I’ll compete with this puny guy.
Yasuchika: It’ll be fine. I bet all my money on myself.
(Will he really be okay? I mean, it’s Yasuchika we’re talking about, so he probably already has a plan…)
Yasuchika smiled at me.
Ayakashi 1: He’s that confident? This will be interesting to watch.
Ayakashi 2: He doesn't look very strong, though…
Ayakashi 3: No, I think he might have a chance!
The ayakashi seemed to be enjoying the current situation and were excitedly talking about it.
Yasuchika: Well then, I look forward to the match.
The rock ayakashi was unamused by Yasuchika’s unbothered attitude.
Rock Ayakashi: You’ve got some nerve to be boasting like that. Don’t start grumbling when you’re about to be killed during a wrestling match.
Yasuchika: Hm? Ah, okay. Got it.
The rock ayakashi’s facial expression twisted in frustration.
It turned its attention to me.
(Uh…)
Rock Ayakashi: I’ll kill that woman too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yasuchika: Ha?
I felt a chill run down my spine and the air around us instantly turned ice cold.
Yasuchika: What did you just say?
The chattering ayakashi shut their mouths, and the Rock Ayakashi flinched as if under intense pressure.
Yuno: Yasuchika! I’ll be fine.
When I called out to Yasuchika due to the unsettling atmosphere, his facial expression changed.
Yasuchika: … Really?
The tension in the air vanished.
(T-That was sudden…!)
Ayakashi: What the hell was that? Is it just me, or did the atmosphere change in the blink of an eye?
The ayakashi exchanged glances and whispered amongst themselves.
Yasuchika: Come on, decide who you want to place your bets on.
Upon being prompted by Yasuchika, the ayakashi placed their tokens into the boxes.
(... As expected, everyone’s betting on the Rock Ayakashi.)
Of course, I bet all my tokens on Yasuchika.
Then, I approached Yasuchika, who was waiting under a tree next to the arena.
Yuno: Yasuchika, are you sure that you’ll really be okay…?
Yasuchika: Just wait and see. There's a reason why I’m going to all the trouble of placing a bet on myself.
Yasuchika: But I think I’ll cast just one more spell, to make sure I don't lose.
Yasuchika’s face suddenly came closer and he gave me a peck on the lips.
Yasuchika: I’ll be right back.
Yuno: … Okay. Be careful.
(Since it’s already come to this point, I’ll cheer for you as hard as I can.)
Soon, the wrestling match began and I put all my energy into cheering.
(Go, Yasuchika…!)
The moment Yasuchika came into contact with the Rock Ayakashi, I thought I saw his palms and feet glow a faint purple.
Yasuchika: Oof.
(...!)
The Rock Ayakashi was suddenly sent flying into a bunch of trees.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It only hit me later that it was Yasuchika who flung it.
Yasuchika: Oops. I used too much strength.
The ayakashi were as shocked as I was.
Ayakashi 1: W- What was that…!
Ayakashi 2: The new guy won! Come take your bets!
(He really won!)
After we were done gambling, we returned to the mansion.
Yuno: I didn't think you would personally participate in the wrestling match.
Yasuchika: Really? I thought it was rather expected.
Yasuchika closed the sliding door and hugged me by the waist.
The sight of his smile being so close to me made my heart race.
Yasuchika: If I’m playing a game that I absolutely have to win, I’ll do whatever it takes to win.
Yasuchika: And thanks to you, I managed to obtain some materials for my Onmyoji work.
(Come to think of it, he must have won quite a few valuable prizes.)
No one expected Yasuchika to win, so we bet every token we had and won an impressive amount of prizes.
Yasuchika: But the thing I was looking forward to the most, was the reward I’ll be receiving from you.
Yuno: Yasuchika…
My cheeks started burning as he gradually closed the distance between us.
Yasuchika: I was thinking of asking for my reward right away…
Yasuchika: But after some consideration, I realized that since you betted on me too, you’re also a winner.
Yuno: …? Uh-huh.
(I guess that makes sense.)
Yasuchika: That means I should reward you too.
I closed my eyes as his face came closer, and our lips met.
Yuno: Nn…
He pecked my lips a few times, making me part them slightly and the way his tongue slipped in seemed somewhat impatient.
Yuno: Mmph…
The tip of his tongue tickled my sensitive spots and my head went numb.
By the time we pulled away, I was breathless.
Yuno: … Was that my reward?
Yasuchika: Nope, that’s not all.
Yasuchika: I’m going to spoil you rotten for believing in me so much.
Those words whispered in my ear were like a sweet poison that took away my ability to think.
Rather than using my words, I responded to Yasuchika by wrapping my arms around him—

OnS Chapter 118
Tumblr media
Finished reading this more than a week ago and I have some... mixed feelings about it. It took me a while to write this cause stuff happened lol
Tumblr media
Krul isn’t the only one now as the Shinoa Squad is also trying to restrain Yuu with Guren trying to reason with him.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, Yuu and Asuramaru are still fighting on the other side. Asuramaru uses the Asura-Kannon which manages to stab Yuu. Yuu uses Mika's ability and was able to slice Asuramaru. Yuu looks like he's going to win but Asuramaru doesn't want to give up.
Tumblr media
Asuramaru tells Yuu that he's turning into the very monster that his parents accused him of back in the day.
Tumblr media
Because of how his parents had treated him, Yuu had felt like his life had no value until he met Mika, like the First Progenitor planned.
Tumblr media
Yuu is then shown a fake version of his first meeting with Mika but Asuamaru tries to snap him out of it. Asuramaru tries to remind Yuu of his family waiting for him outside.
Tumblr media
In the real world, the Shinoa squad plus Guren are talking to Yuu and are also trying to snap him out of it. They're all calling out to him and Guren tells him that if he goes completely berserk, then he'd never be able to return to normal.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The whole Shinoa squad apologizes to Yuu for pressuring him into making a decision and tells him they'd talk about it with him. They all tell him they're family and that he's important to them, too.
Tumblr media
Shinoa pleads to Yuu not to go anywhere as she doesn't think she could go on without him.
Tumblr media
Asuramaru talks to Yuu once more asking him to listen to the others and things seem to finally work out. Yuu apologizes to Asuramaru and calls the latter by his real name.
Tumblr media
It seems it's too late though as Yuu lies and used the opportunity to bite Asuramaru. As Ashera disappears, he apologizes to his sister.
Tumblr media
Yuu won and he calls out an angry Mika. Mika asks Yuu if this meant that yuu would betray everyone and follow Shikama Doji's orders so that he could bring Mika back. Yuu's answer is that he won't - he has his own plan and it meant he won't do what either Guren or Shikama Doji wants him to do.
Tumblr media
Yuu wakes up to the relief of his friends (especially Shinoa) but he apologizes and leaves them behind.
--
You know, them trying to bring Yuu back by reminding them they’re family would’ve been really touching if the one saying it wasn’t Guren lol. After everything that happened, Guren is the last person I wanna hear that from. He was the reason Yuu is acting bonkers right now.
On the other hand, the others are apologizing to Yuu as well although I don’t think they did as bad as Guren. They didn’t even get to say a lot after the reveal cause they were as surprised and confused like Yuu and Mika were. The moment that seemed like they did something was fighting against Yuu but that was cause they were convinced Yuu would go on a rampage on them not realizing Yuu just wanted to escape.
I still think that if Guren actually thought his plan would work out, it’d have been stupid of him. He’d been with Yuu and raised him for 4 years and we have seen that Yuu would not shut up about how important the orphans and Mika were to him. Did Guren actually think Yuu would immediately just say ‘yes’ if asked if it’s okay for Mika to die?
Also, it won’t have worked with any of them. There’s so much focus on Yuu and Mika recently that I nearly forgot about how Kimizuki and Yoichi would’ve felt. They would’ve reacted the same way Yuu did if they were in his shoes.
Yoichi lost his sister and he does feel guilty cause she protected him. He still wants revenge on the vampire who killed her and he might be polite about it but he was angry at Guren too when he found out Guren had something to do with her death.
Kimizuki got to live with his younger sister longer and had to take care of her all this time. He entrusted her to his fellow humans hoping she’d get cured but things got worse, she was turned into a seraph and now killed. Kimizuki is still bringing his sister’s corpse with him wherever they would go and he was also mad at Guren knowing this was part of his plans, too.
These two would not have agreed with Guren either. I want to assume the same of Mitsuba as well. It wouldn’t be easy to choose either humanity or someone you love personally.
And the only reason Kimizuki and Yoichi haven’t blown up at Guren yet was that Yuu had been calming them both down and convincing them to trust Guren. They did and this is how it all ended up.
I guess Shinoa telling an unconscious Yuu that she can’t live without him is her way of confessing. I still don’t like the ship but eh, I knew this would happen one day. I didn’t get as uncomfortable as I would’ve thought I would though cause so many things are happening.
Anyways, Yuu was able to fool Ashera. I was fooled too thinking Yuu had gotten calm and was gonna listen to everyone. Haha I didn’t think he’d be good at acting. He even stopped calling Asuramaru by his demon name and called him Ashera.
Okay, while I felt bad that Yuu lied and stuff in this moment, I can’t say I felt super bad? Before finding out he’d just been used and would be thrown away, Asuramaru is determined to do what the 1st Progenitor had wanted him to do and even looked like he was enjoying it. He’s proven that he wasn’t on Yuu’s side and with everyone else seemingly the same, Yuu doesn’t need that at the moment.
That said, Asuramaru is also another character who wouldn’t have accepted Guren’s proposal had he been in Yuu’s shoes. He was willing to follow the 1st Progenitor who is shady as fuck because he wanted to protect his sister Krul.
I can’t really blame any of them for this cause they’re living in the apocalypse where everything around them might just disappear and they might even die, too. The only thing they know that they still have to cling on are their loved ones or at least, their memories of those people. With that in mind, I guess we could say that it’s the same for Guren. He’s also just fought for what he cared about years ago (although that makes me wonder more why he didn’t realize that what he’s doing right now won’t end well).
Alright! Yuu finally found a way to choose a third option like he’d been wanting! He’s not gonna follow Guren nor would he do what the 1st Progenitor wants - he’s doing his own thing. Not sure what that would be or if he even has a plan right now but at least he could get away from those who are trying to get him to choose what they wanted. Since the Progenitor team (that’s what I’m gonna keep calling Rigr and the others) also wants to take another option, I wonder if this meant they could meet with Yuu and team up?
I mentioned before on a different post that recently, character comparison-wise, Guren and Shikama Doji are kind of similar in their roles like how Yuu is kind of the same as Rigr and this is an addition to that. Not wanting to do what their parent/superior asks of them, they’re gonna try and [ick another option and if that option doesn’t exist yet, they’d look for it. If Guren and Shikama Doji’s paths are crossing with their plans, then Yuu’s and Rigr’s might cross as well.
It’d be interesting if that happened.
Just a little thought about these recent chapters.
In other shows, especially shounen anime, if the MC is given two unlikable choices, they’d choose a third one like Yuu had been trying here. It would’ve worked out easily and it’d be fun and all but here in Owari no Seraph, it’s not that easy. Made me wonder why at first. Was the series getting a bit darker for it? But then I kind of thought that maybe it’s cause Yuu isn’t the only protagonist.
Yuu is the MC for the main manga series, Mika is it’s deutragonist, and Guren is the MC for the prequel spinoff. And all of their stories seem to be crossing paths now currently when they’re all together. I don’t know how to explain it but it’s like, the story is still treating all three as protagonists so Yuu just can’t easily have what he wanted. Guren’s story still needs to get somewhere in the present timeline and Mika’s life isn’t over yet and is connected more than ever to Yuu’s story.
I’m not entirely sure where I’m going with this but just putting this out there.
Well, I guess I just need to wait for next month’s chapter to see where all this is going. Now the party lists are: Yuu+Mika, vampries, humans, Guren+the others, Progenitor team. What a mess! Haha it’s getting more interesting at least. How exciting.

Ibaraki Doji surprising his s/o?
Y'know as I was writing I got the feeling that Ibaraki would irradiate golden retriever energy but only to his S/O lmao
Ibaraki Doji surprising his S/O
Ibaraki is quite bad at surprises in general, especially when it comes to surprising his S/O. So usually he depends on Shuten Doji to help him keep his mouth shut and not spoil the surprise.
When he wants to surprise his S/O he tends to work really hard on it so everything is perfect. And this is when Shuten comes in to help him since the minute that Ibaraki is next to his S/O he will be too excited to keep his mouth shut. And Shuten has to either change the conversation or put his hand on Ibaraki's mouth.
His suprises consist on date nights where he cooks for them, decorates the place and makes it look nice for them. Then he also gets them more than one gift, because he can't decide on just one thing so he just gets them all.
Unfortunately more often than not he ends up spoiling the surprise despite all of Shuten's efforts on helping him keep his mouth shut.
This leaves Ibaraki absolutely disappointed in himself and his S/O can notice that too, so they comfort him with some kisses and tell him that it's okay.
In the end his S/O enjoys the evening and the time spent with their beloved Ibaraki whom feel proud of his hard work despite spoiling the surprise because he gets to see his beloved S/O having the time of their life and being absolutely happy.

Yuu was never the best at following orders. Or listen in general. Now normally, this didn’t bother him, it’s not like he’d ever really had a reason to regret his decisions. This time though, he was regretting not listening to Mika. This morning before heading out on patrol, Mika had told him it was supposed to rain. He’d suggested Yuu bring a jacket, and what had Yuu said? “I’ll be fine! A little rain never hurt anyone.”
Now of course this statement was far from true, especially for Yuu. Whenever he went out into the rain for long periods of time without a coat or umbrella he usually caught a cold. Mika, not wanting to deal with a sick and whiny Yuu again, reminded him of this fact. To which Yuu stepped out the door sans coat saying, “Besides it’s June, it’ll probably just drizzle.”
This brings us to now. Yuu, running through the old city ruins, in his very not waterproof uniform. He had something tucked in his arms under his cloak, and Asura- Ashera was mocking him. The demon had asked to be called by his human name since regaining his memories. “You should’ve listened to your boyfriend.” “Look it’s gonna get sick because you’re stupid.” “If it gets sick it’ll probably die.”
“Shut up,” Yuu snapped once they were closer to the wall.
As Yuu walked in, he heard a familiar snicker. Looking to his right, he saw Shinoa with two umbrellas. She was off duty today, therefore not in her uniform. Because there were so few threats now, squads didn’t normally go out together. The four horsemen of John had disappeared with their seraph, and most vampires had agreed to try and live peacefully with humans. The patrol was more so the moon demon company had something to do other than act as a police force. I mean, a new threat could pop up any day now.
“Mika asked me to bring you one,” she said, handing him an umbrella.
“Thanks,” he grumbled. He shifted the weight into his right arm and took the umbrella.
Apparently, Shinoa and Mika had been having a meeting of sorts. After being taken over by Shikama Doji, she became a vampire. Even after they expelled him from her body she’d remained a vampire. So Mika and her often worked together with the moon demon company's scientist to find a way to become human again. They parted ways at one of the intersections, Shinoa was going to visit Guren who was still detained.
As Yuu made his way home, he swore he was going to drop his new friend. It kept shifting and rolling. Ashera kept laughing at the panicked look of his face when it moved.
After what felt like forever, Yuu made it onto his and Mika’s porch. He shook the umbrella out then came to the realization that he had no hands. So, like any sane person, he headbutted the door a few times. And when Mika opened the door he gave him his biggest smile. Unfortunately, Mika didn’t find this situation as amusing.
“What did I tell you?” He asked, not moving from the doorway.
Yuu looked off to the side, “Bring an umbrella.” Suddenly an idea hit him. “That’s why I brought you a gift!” He exclaimed leaning into Mika.
“Uh, sure. I’ll go get you a towel, don’t go-”
“Past the entrance. I know!” He called after him, as he stepped inside.
Finally, he set the kitten he’d been hiding on the seat by the door. It was just starting to wake up. He shook out and closed the umbrella before taking off his cloak and shirt. Just as he picked up the kitten and began cradling it, Mika walked in.
“Hey Mika? Do you know how to see if a cat’s a girl or boy? Ashera just keeps laughing at me,” he pouted with the last comment. Mika just kind of stood there. Whether it was confusion as to where the cat came from, or he was enjoying the view of his boyfriend, Yuu would never know. Although Mika would later tell Shinoa that it was his boyfriend's stupidity. “I mean, how does he think you tell?!”
Mika threw a towel over Yuu’s head and took the kitten from him. He lifted it up and smiled before cradling her himself. Yuu had actually done a half decent job at keeping her dry.
“Can we keep it?” Yuu asked. By now he had pulled off his pants and was sitting drying his hair. Mika looked at him and sighed before walking off to grab another towel. When he came back, he had bundled up the kitten.
“If you can come up with a name for HER, then yes. We can keep her.”
Yuu looked like a kid on christmas. When he went to hug Mika, the other boy stepped out of the way saying he was still wet. He could think of a name while he showered, before he caught a cold. When Yuu left, he called Kruel who had been planning on coming over for dinner. Mika asked her to pick up some cat food and that he and Yuu would get the rest tomorrow. “Also, can you pick up some cold medicine? We’re out.”
Mika took a seat in the living room and set the now dry and squirming kitten down. She had very soft brown fur, and didn’t look well fed. Yuu must’ve picked her up off the street during his patrol. He jumped when a voice spoke from behind him.
“How about Akane?” Yuu had just walked in. Now wearing a tee shirt and sweatpants, he leaned over the back of the couch. “What if we named her Akane?”
Mika turned back to the kitten who was happily clawing their floor. “Akane… I think it sounds perfect.”

A Pinch of Christmas Fluff (Mer AU)
It wasn't that Kazuo disliked Christmas, really- it was just that the last several hadn't been any big deal.
There was the staff Christmas party at the school, plus whatever celebrations he had with his classes, and once he'd joined Akiko on the day itself, as her in-laws hadn't been able to come and Hikaru was in the hospital.
But otherwise- and other than that one year- he spent Christmas alone.
So while he liked the season fine, enjoyed the festivities that came along with it, he wasn't planning much.
Of course, he never planned for Ryo.
They didn’t spend Thanksgiving together, as Ryo and Ginga went to their hometown- which apparently didn’t allow outsiders?- and Kazuo went home to his family, which ended up in him listening to his sisters curse Doji’s existence when he told them he’d run into the guy again.
But, as entertaining as that was, and as nice as it was to see everyone again, he was eager to see Ryo and Ginga again- a fact that his sisters teased him relentlessly about. By the time he got back into town, it was late, and though they were supposed to be back the day before him, he didn’t exactly want to bother them past midnight. So he went to bed, planning to get up bright and early to head over.
He woke up fairly early, just as wanted, but when he stretched over to shut off his alarm, and his tired gaze wandered around his room, he was suddenly shocked wide awake, pushing himself up on his arms to stare at the other person in his bedroom.
What the hell-
“Ryo??” he asked incredulously, and watched as the man scrambled to get up from where he sat on the floor, a bright grin lighting up his face that Kazuo was nowhere near prepared for this early in the morning.
“Morning, Kaz!” his boyfriend greeted him cheerfully, sitting on the edge of his bed now. “Did you have a good Thanksgiving? Get enough sleep?”
Kazuo stared at him in silence for a moment, trying to decide if this was a really vivid dream or not, but when Ryo tilted his head and gave him that curious puppy look he couldn’t help but chuckle, sitting up and running a hand through his messy hair. “Uh, yeah, it was good- and I slept pretty well, I think…?” “Great, fantastic-” Ryo leaned over to kiss his cheek, and Kazuo felt his face flush at the contact, a smile slipping onto his face. “Y-yeah, it’s great, but- Ryo, wh-what’re you doing here- how did you get in??”
“You… Gave me a key?” Ryo chuckled, raising an eyebrow at him. “Not long after we started dating, remember?”
Honestly, he’d completely forgotten- he’d given him the key, sure, but Ryo had never used it before, so he certainly hadn’t been expecting it now.
“Right, right…” Kazuo shook his head and scooted closer to the taller man, still a bit baffled by the whole situation, but happy to deal with it anyway. “Why are you here, then? I mean, you definitely won’t get a complaint from me, but…”
At that, Ryo grinned again, and took him by the hands as he stood up, pulling Kazuo to his feet as well and drawing a yelp from him. “Ginga and I finished decorating the store last night, and I went a little crazy on discount decorations last year so we had a bunch left over, so I figured we could bring them over here and help you decorate! The school doesn’t go back in for a few days, right?”
Kazuo stared at him uncomprehendingly, blinking as he tried to make sense of what was being said to him. “...Decorate?” he finally asked, wondering if his brain was still just muddled with sleep. “Uh- why?”
“For Christmas!”
Ryo squeezed his hands, practically buzzing with excitement. “It’s best to decorate early, really gets you in the spirit of things! If you have some of your own we can start with those, and I brought our extra artificial tree but if you prefer real ones we can wait on that-” Ah, he thought faintly, the realization hitting him in just that moment. I’m dating a Christmas fanatic, aren’t I?
And it turned out that was just the start of things.
Ryo made breakfast for him, and Ginga- who had been waiting in his living room, apparently- proudly presented him with an iced coffee they’d gotten along the way.
He was given time to eat, and process. And then he discovered that you could, in fact, spend an entire day decorating if you had enough things to do.
Ryo had more than enough things, that much was clear.
A lot more things became clear as they hit December proper, and Ryo really got into the swing of things.
The store was like Ryo had bought out a Christmas store, their own home much the same- and it looked great, he had to admit, couldn’t find a single thing to complain about, even when he came home to more color he’d ever had in his house at once.
The Haganes’ excitement over the holiday season was infectious, and Kazuo found himself bringing cookies to share with his class, because Ryo apparently tried to bake every cookie known to man this time of year and would always dump at least two dozen on him every other day.
He found himself using a few spare decorations to spruce up his office, smiling at handmade reindeer- from when Ginga was a child, evidently- and chuckling whenever he glanced up at the small snowflakes he’d hung from the ceiling.
He even found himself wearing a santa hat to work some days, much to the delight of his students, coworkers, and Ryo alike.
All this was done to Doji’s absolute hate, as well, which was just the cherry on top of the whole thing, and it maybe encouraged him more than it should’ve.
(He drew the line at brightly colored, light-up sweaters, though. Ryo could keep those all to himself.)
Kazuo found himself enjoying the season more than he had in years, probably the most he had since he was a kid, and seeing just how happy Ryo was this time of year, how excited he got as the day itself got closer? Absolutely wonderful. It made his day every time he saw his boyfriend smile like that.
For the first time in years, he was actively looking forward to Christmas.
On Christmas Eve, he stayed at the Hagane’s house, watched so many movies he lost track of them all, had more sweets than was any kind of healthy, and stayed up way too late playing a game of Monopoly that ended in Ryo tripping and falling into the tree when he stood up in mock outrage.
(Ginga had been the winner. Kazuo was inclined to believe Ginga had stolen from the bank a few times when Ryo was distracting him with kisses) In the end, he fell asleep tucked against Ryo’s chest, both of them bundled up in the pile of blankets Ryo had dumped on the couch, with Christmas music and a YouTube video of a fireplace playing quietly in the background.
Kazuo was pretty sure he didn’t stop smiling for the entire night.
He woke slowly, nothing but cozy warmth surrounding him, and at first he was confused, because this didn’t seem like his place, and though he was comfortable, whatever he was laying on was definitely not his bed.
Then there was a chuckle from somewhere above him, quiet but rumbling around him, and a hand carded gently through his hair, the combined sensations nearly sending him right back to sleep without a single care to where he was.
“You awake, seashell?” The voice was rumbly too, but this time he recognized it, and Kazuo found himself smiling again as the night before came back to him, all the way up to when he finally drifted off in Ryo’s arms.
Am I really so lucky?
“A little…” he mumbled sleepily, nuzzling more into the warmth that he’d now remembered to be his lovely, warm, wonderful boyfriend. “You’re comfy…” He called me seashell-
Ryo chuckled again, and Kazuo was sure he was grinning like an absolute fool at the sound, starting to wake up more. “Yeah, I thought so- you wouldn’t even let me get up to bring in the presents earlier,” Ryo murmured back, fingers running through his hair again. “But I just couldn’t bear to wake you up…”
“Sorry…” Kazuo yawned as he apologized, nuzzling into the touch.
"No you're not," Ryo rumbled out another laugh, leaning in to kiss his head, and Kazuo could've just melted.
"Fake apologies aside, though, I do need to get up now, seashell- I need to put the presents out before Ginga wakes up."
Kazuo summoned all his theatrical prowess to sigh dramatically, but reluctantly untangled himself from his boyfriend and slid down to sit on the floor, watching as Ryo unfolded himself from the couch and hurried off.
I never thought I'd be so happy, but now I don't know what I'd do without them…
Soon Ryo emerged again with several bags of presents, which he carefully arranged around the tree for the unsuspecting teen still asleep in his room.
Then he bent down to give Kazuo another kiss, which he happily returned, and this time when Ryo walked off to the kitchen, Kazuo followed- after adding a few presents of his own to the pile, of course- and the two started to make breakfast together, exchanging little giggles at their own rumpled appearances and trading brief kisses back and forth while trying to stay quiet.
Personally, Kazuo was almost hoping that the morning would never end, that they'd stay in this soft coziness forever- where he didn't have to worry about being seen when he shouldn't, or about the gaudily-dressed shark roaming around his workplace.
But all good moments must come to an end- lucky for him, though, it was replaced with one just as good, if… a bit louder.
Ginga announced his consciousness by sprinting down the hall and bursting into the kitchen, tackling his dad with an excited yell of "MERRY CHRISTMAS!!" that Kazuo definitely did not startle back from, and Ryo nearly knocked over the skillet when he laughed and spun the kid around.
Kazuo promptly shoved them both out of the kitchen, announcing they should start on presents so neither of them set anything on fire, and busied himself with finishing up the meal, content to listen to Ginga's excited exclamations from the room over.
He grinned when the book about seahorses was discovered, and laughed when he heard Ginga find the plush- the awed gasp and instant announcement of "HIS NAME IS PEGASUS" made that pretty clear, even if the spikey-haired head poking into the room and thanking him repeatedly didn't.
Finally he brought plates of food out and sat down to join them, sliding a couple more wrapped packages from his bags over to Ryo while Ginga dug some out from… Behind the couch, apparently? They were certainly hidden well, based on Ryo's baffled expression, and Kazuo laughed around a forkful of eggs as the presents were all dumped in the other man's lap, Ginga grinning victoriously.
Yeah, I wouldn't expect anything less.
"No way-"
Ryo barked out a laugh as he unwrapped the softest package and lifted the contents up so he could see. "Kaz-"
He peered past the sweater to look at Kazuo, eyes shining and a huge grin on his face and Kazuo couldn't help but smile back even as he rolled his eyes.
"You wouldn't stop talking about them, and I know you don't have one like this."
"God, Kaz, I love you-"
Ryo said it so simply, the words coming out so easily that Kazuo almost missed it, only having time to freeze up as Ryo leaned in to give him yet another kiss on top of countless others.
He loves me.
Is it really so easy for him…? Is it just… that simple?
He loves me?
…Let's have that crisis later.
They went through the rest of the presents more slowly, chatting and eating between them- and with Kazuo maybe tearing up at the sheer number of things Ginga had made for him, he had to hug the kid for a solid few minutes after he was done- and when there didn't seem to be any wrapping paper intact, and Ginga was already buried in his book about seahorses, Kazuo snuggled back up in Ryo's arms, sighing happily and letting his eyes fall shut.
"Merry Christmas, angelfish," he heard Ryo murmur, and suppressed an eye roll at the nickname, instead just smiling and pressing in closer.
"Merry Christmas, sunshine," he replied quietly, and took great joy in the way Ryo's breath audibly caught before another kiss was dropped onto his head, the taller man carefully angling them back until they were laying down right there on the floor, arms wrapped around each other.
A hand started carding through Kazuo's hair again, and he could've purred, feeling nothing but warm and happy and loved.
He loves me.
…And I love him.

A small body represents a Doji, and its closing value and opening price are very shut. It means a modest value increase slows down previous days' bullish/positive momentum. The Evening star is actually a bearish trend reversal indicator. This indicator implicates that a bearish pattern is imminent. We ought to look ahead to the top of the uptrend. There we are going to discover the mixture of the aforementioned pattern.

what does shoyo beyblade think abt mr tetsuya watarigani >:D
sinister laugh
She has no thoughts on mr tetsuya watarigani.
Or that's what I wish were possible in this crazy world but you can not have thoughts on tetsuya watarigani, I mean look at him. I'd say they don't like him (big surprise i know) and also deep down wished he listened or took the chances the main group gave him time and time again. Like she understands to an extent wanting to reject people's kindness and self-reflection, but also this guy is such a loser and picked fights with little kids. He's also so stubborn and annoying, and his crab puns are confusing... Shoyo has trouble following his long speeches too like seriously dude shut up!!
When she heard Tetsuya joined the dark nebula she felt a little bad, as they did for each new member really, but also in the back of their head she went "OMG DOJI IS REALLY RECRUITING ANYONE NOW WHAT A JOKE >:D" in a weird way it lifted their mood for a second during the very stressful time that was fusion for them so thanks Tetsuya I guess.
In the end she doesn't have to worry about him too much, since he's not really that powerful. If he ever comes back to torment or trick Kenta and the others, she will do her best to stop him with the help of Actaeo!

k so this's kinda long hence the cut but I decided to watch + record my thoughts on a shogun steel episode in french cause when I first did this I was bored (I specifically chose sakyo's introduction episode since there's also the wbba gang + takanosuke in this specific episode)
am I a student that is on their 2nd year of french? yes. do I plan on shutting off my brain and to not translate the episode in my head? absolutely
intro automatically slaps, naturally <3
narrator/recap voice vaguely sounds like english dub doji to me (not a negative observation, I just kinda picked up on it)
TSUBABA SOUNDS SO PRETTY?? like something you'd hear from a love interest in a romance series
also Benkei's fits super well, my beloved <3
maru & madoka also sound like their eng dub counterparts, also v much my beloveds <3
zero's voice is a tiny bit silly but he's very silly in general so it fits <3
eight's is cute too
SHINOBU AND RENS, suuuuuper fitting omg <3
Kite silly lil scientist lad <3 (again, very fitting)
zero you silly goose you <3
Shinobu's is very passionate, adds a bit of charm to it
not the focus but I'm also a fan of the voices for the background characters
OH SHIT ITS SAKYO
yea ik I'm kinda being repetitive but I'm a big fan of sakyo's voice rn
ren (again) <3
ooo takanosuke, very nice sounding voice going on rn
so far all the voices have been super good and fitting for the characters, big props
like atp, if this was my first exposure to beyblade and was told it was a french series (like specifically made in french/by a french studio), I would honestly believe it
not only do the voices sound pleasing on the ears, I'm also a fan of their speech mannerisms (idk if that's the right word, but I feel like it fits rn)
(I'm writing this at sakyo vs ren battle in the episode) I genuinely don't have anything new to say at this point it's just so good omg
ok so I kinda take back what I said about believing this was a french series if this was my first exposure to it but it very endearing I can't help but fawn over it
AKUYAEJSKENDJI??!??
Akuya caught me off guard cause of how raspy his voice is but like I've said with p much everyone else, it's very fitting so I like it
So this's the point where I'm at the end of the episode, I highly recommend watching the french dub, and it's been an overall good experience that I'm considering either watching the entire series in the french dub or maybe watching it in other languages to hear how they sound

Can I request platonic Akazaya nine headcannons
(Takes place before 20-year time jump)
Kin’emon
He’s goofy
He isn’t even trying, it’s just that he’s a little slow on the uptake
And by that, I mean very
You can be making a joke, and he’ll take it seriously. Then five minutes later start laughing hysterically
Which makes you laugh at how ridiculous he is— and that just leads to you two rolling on the ground. No longer sure about what was funny, but each time the other person laughs, you can’t help but do the same
He’s a perv, so you catch him leering at girls
So of course you tell the rest of the 9, and you guys endlessly tease him
Then he starts yelling about how he’s the leader, and how he can punish you guys
But no one takes him seriously
Even Oden joins in on the fun. That’s when Kin’emon give up trying to save his pride (he ends up making fun of himself)
He tries to act like a big brother, which most of the time doesn’t work. But when it does you wonder where all the wisdom came from
10/10 Expect nothing less from Kin’emon
Denjiro
He’s serious
But in a funny ironic way. Unlike Kin’emon he will get the joke, but not laugh and scold you for not taking work seriously
When he loosens up (aka, when Oden tells him to relax) then he might laugh at your corny jokes, but until then you can expect him to act like a mom
He may not have much of a sense of humor, but he is probably the best when it comes to advice
Tell him your woes, and he’ll have an eight-step plan to fix them
If you do something amazing on accident, he’ll have a newly gained respect for you
That’s because he’s kinda naive
So if you pull an Usopp on him, and start telling grand lies. He’ll believe you
Be careful though, that may mean he’ll give you way more than you can chew when fighting enemies
He will fanboy to you about something cool Oden did
If you don’t get as excited as he does, he will scold you
7/10 too much of a mom
Kikunojo
They are like an older sister figure
Pretty calm
Until you do something stupid, then they’re giving you the worst side-eye. They don’t even have to speak for you to understand what they’re saying
They like to dress you up in clothes that are as feminine as possible
If that’s not your style, deal with it. If it is, then you two can choose outfits for each other
You low-key get creeped out when they put on the Oni mask
Their entire vibe changes, and it’s intimidating
They wouldn’t protect you in a fight, since they trust that you can handle yourself
But if anyone picks on you outside a fight, expect hands to be thrown
I can see you two making food for the others
When Oden isn’t making oden… which is all the time
9/10 the only downside is the shade that is (occasionally) thrown
Kanjuro
You two mess around together
You guys can act out several plays and have tons of fun making the characters as outlandish as possible
He’ll draw something cute for you, and you two get to play with it for a while
If you’re extra hungry, he’ll draw out some lettuce. But when that gives you a stomach ache, he’ll just rub your back
I can see him trying to be a good wingman, but failing (I think the only good wingmen would be Kawamatsu, and Denjiro. But Denjiro would never do it)
He’ll just stick to doing your Kabuki makeup
I think he would be a good hype man
I can also see you two just drinking tea, while the rest of the group is running around, trying to find where Momonosuke ran off to
I can see you two taking a pottery class together (and probably failing)
Anything art related you and Kanjuro like to do together
I can also see you two having dance parties, and (most) of the group joins in
10/10 very fun times
Raizo
Similar to Kin’emon
But the difference is that he tries to impress you with his ninja skills
If you compliment him, he’ll act humble
But he’s beaming with pride
He uses his ninja skills to prank you
This leads to a prank war that no one is safe from
Even Oden wants to join in on the fun. Which ends up with him crushing everyone
Not very good when it comes to emotions, he ends up getting awkward
Unless you’re getting emotion about Oden because he’ll start crying too
He’ll ask you to help him pick up girls
It never works. It ends up with the girl running and screams, and you two bolting and having to explain to Oden why he got a complaint
9/10 it’s all fun and games until Oden joins in
Ashura Doji
Acts kinda like an uncle/older brother
He acts seriously a lot of the time, but when he does let loose he is fun to be around
Why can’t he be like that all the time?
He may not always have the most fun, but he is always reliable
If you have any problems, you can go to talk to him and he’ll listen. And if you ask for advice, then he’ll give the best words of wisdom
And if he thinks it’s appropriate for him to step in, he will
He smells like alcohol though, so if that bothers you he’ll just laugh
I can see him teaching you how to use a sword/fight, or give extra practice
Ashura also treats you like an errand runner
He’ll give you a few coins and ask you to buy him sake, or a snack
If you say no, he’ll get salty
8/10 stop sending people on errands
Inuarashi
Him, Neokmamushi, and Kawamatsu are the best trio
Add you in, and the castle is in shambles
In the best and most fun way, but it is still chaos
It doesn't help when Oden joins in. It only makes things crazier (see the trend?)
Then the rest of the 9 has two stop you four, and Toki scolds Oden
I can see him also giving really good advice
He’s loyal to a fault, like dude calm down. All that person did was look at you, he does not need to whip out his sword
I can also see him following you around (like a dog)
He likes to act as he hates it when you pet him, but he secretly loves it
I think that he would like to read books with you and drinking tea
Can be annoying though, since he’s clingy
9/10 not too much to complain about
Nekomamushi
I think it would take a while for him to warm up to you
Him being a cat, that makes sense
I think that when he does warm up though, you will never be able to get him off of you
You can be laying down, digesting food, and he’ll just start kneading you
If you tell him to stop, he’ll get salty, and leave you for an hour, and then come back and try to sit on your lap
Like stop, you’re way too big to be doing that
He’ll also start to randomly rub your faces together
Like Inuarashi, he will follow you everywhere
That leads to those two into fights (sometimes), but if you pet both of them they’ll shut up
He’d be good at killing bugs. So if you are disgusted/scared of them, then he is the perfect partner in (bug) homicide
If anyone is bothering you, he’ll team up with Inuarashi to beat them up
9/10 there is a lot of similarities between him and Inuarashi
Kawamatsu
He is so cute
If you give him food he will love you forever
Especially eggs, he loves the texture
So if you give him an egg, he’ll thank you and do anything you say for a day
This can be useful if you don’t want to do something yourself
I can see him getting you two matching hats and clothes
Unlike the cat and dog duo, he doesn’t feel the need to be around you all the time. Instead, he lets you come to him
He’s also really good at giving advice and learning an ear
And as I mentioned before, he is one of the best wingmen. If you have your eyes on someone, he will go up to them and start talking about all of your accomplishments. How you saved fifty kids in one day (or something)
With him as a wingman, you are guaranteed at least one date. If you screw it up, that's on you
I also can see him as a very honest person, so when you ask him if you’re idea is dumb (and it is), he’ll tell you— in the kindest way possible
10/10 I need a Kawamatsu in my life
Bonus
Oden
He’s kinda a bully, but in the nicest way possible
He just likes messing with you. I can see him beating you and the rest of the crew up at a board game when you guys were little kids
Like dude, chill
Don’t worry though, if you think he’s being an unintentional bully (since he kinda acts immature), you can just tell his wife, and he’ll stop real quick
But when it comes down to it, you guys are what means the most to him
Aka: If he sees someone or something bothering you, he will demolish it
Unless it's another one of the nine, then he’ll make a family circle to talk it out
He likes it when he sees you and the rest of the group take care of his kids. It’s like seeing his kids, take care of his kids
Then his eyes start stinging and welling up with tears
But if you ask him, he’ll tell you that he is not crying
He’s kinda like a dad, but also like a little brother too
10/10 just stop beating everyone at uno
