Domestic Killua Zoldyck Relationship Headcanons

Author's note: Hi anon! I'm so glad that you liked my other headcanons so i give you these!

❥ He's used to waking up early for training and stuff, because he always had to for training when he was younger but now that you've gotten him addicted to sleepy morning cuddles and now he complains to no end whenever either you or him have to get out of bed

❥ Like the poor boy will so firmly in denial

❥ "Killua, Love, we have to get going, it's 6am."

❥ "No, it's not, go back to bed, baby."

❥ He has great memory and is always double or triple checking his bag or pockets to make sure he hasn't forgotten anything, so he almost never forgets anything and this helps you out too because he likes to check you're things and packs anything you've forgotten for you along with a little note wishing you a good day.

❥ THIS MAN CAN COOK

❥ I know people may think this is kind of a stretch but I headcanon that before he ran away, he learned a lot from the cooks working at his family mansion.

❥ It also really feeds his ego when you compliment his cooking skills lmao. Also he 110% uses his claws to cut up food.

❥ "Hey, pretty face, get me a knife, please?"

❥ "They're all dirty, hold on, let me wash one for yo- okay then."

❥ He still trains pretty often like around 4/7 days a week, so not as much as he used to but he's still staying on top of his game, more so out of habit than him wanting to but he does still enjoy it.

❥ But lets remember that he has a very, very, very large amount of stamina so he can train for a long time.

❥ So more often than not, you get tired before him so you go to get a drink or eat and just watch him workout, you know, for ideas for things to next time, definitely not check him out, no sir 😭

❥ Going grocery shopping with him will go one of two ways. Either, he has a list, he’s a man on a mission, he’s determined to stick to the list, he’s a man with a vision, nothing shall sway him.

❥ Until he enters the store and sees some new chocolate or candy that he hasn’t tried. All that resolve? Gone.

❥ You end up getting things that you guys actually need and he’s just standing there with like 50 packs of whatever it is that he bought lmao 😭

❥ He likes to take you on at least one date every week. But he’s started avoiding parks, (unless you want to go ofc) because once a little kid called him an old man because of his white hair and poor Killua practically died.

❥ When you two were decorating your shared home, he wanted pretty neutral oe dark colours but he caved when asked for a brighter colour scheme but he, to this day, still says it looks like a Teletubbie threw up in there, but he loves it.

❥ Movie nights happen often but he didn’t want to watch titanic at first because he said, “It’s going to be so boring and lame.” but cue him at the movie literally a sobbing mess😭

❥ He never recovered lmao

❥ He tried to start a flower garden and just forgot about it for a week and all the flowers died. He restarted it but you take care of it for him because he’s still pretty forgetful about it but he’s convinced he’s done it all himself because you decided not to tell him.

❥ You know that one meme that’s like, “You’ve been home for an hour and a half and not even once, not one time have you tried to cuddle me and it’s pissing me the fuck off, I want my fucking cuddles.”? Yeah that’s him, he gets so moody without physical contact from you, it’s hillarious.

❥ He likes to make fun of people who can’t do basic house chores but then you walk in on him wrestling a fitted sheet and swearing like a sailor😭

❥ He can cook, as I’ve mentioned before, but he also like junk food and it won’t do shit to him because of his fast metabolism.

❥ You guys have a cat named flip-flop (thank killua for that) and he SPOILS it so much.

❥ “Come on, Y/n, Flip-flop would never scratch the curtains. Isn’t that right Flip-flop?” And it meows like it’s agreeing.

Relations/Bonds

What kind of sibling would they be like, even if they canonly have siblings or not?

What kind of friend are they? Is their treatment the same as how they treat to a best friend and a relative? (this is a pretty deep question if you think about the pros and cons of how they are beneath the surface- don’t be scared to be honest.)

Put your OC and their familiar/friend/other person's OC/acquaintance/significant other/enemy and write a dialogue between them to show how they would tend to treat each other.

Describe OC and their family in one meme.

What are the OC's thoughts on (insert other person's name).

Hey so idk if you would know this but where did the term canyon in reference to Izzy fans come from? I feel like I just started seeing it like three days ago but everyone seems to already know what it means

lol so disclaimer that this ask has been in my inbox since september 23rd and alsoooo i might not be the best person to ask bc i am belothed by many who consider themselves part of the izzy canyon (which is their right). so if you asked an izzy fan about this you would probably get a different answer. also from what i can tell the term originated on twitter and i don’t go there.

the tl;dr that i heard secondhand from someone who identifies as izzy canyon is that at some point last year (summer or fall-ish i think) a lot of izzy fans were blocking so many people who didn’t like izzy that a lot of them ended up being unaware of general fandom trends and it became a running joke among them that izzy fans were isolated from the rest of the fandom in an "izzy canyon." and then allegedly the term expanded to just mean "if ur not a dick abt ppl liking izzy u can be in the canyon." THAT BEING SAID there are other ppl who had a very different experience with how "the canyon" originated and what kind of fan space it tends to be.

(slightly longer explanation below)

the thing with The Canyon is that to understand its origin and also why some fans have a problem with it, you gotta know two things:

there are annoying puriteen anti types on the internet who think liking certain characters make you a bad person. from what i can tell theyre mostly on twitter and tiktok. these people are annoying but also in my experience they're usually pretty easy to block and ignore.

the popularity of izzy hands is disproportionate to his narrative role in the show, and the popular fanon interpretation of izzy hands casts him not only as a principal character but as a much more sympathetic, righteous character than he is in canon. THIS DOES NOT MEAN I THINK ANYONE IS A BAD PERSON FOR LIKING IZZY. this DOES mean that i think ppl who think ed is izzy's domestic abuser are wrong. and also this is part of an age old fandom trend of fandom favoring a masc white guy who is often a side character and also often an antagonist.

so from what i can tell. in the early days of the ofmd fandom (spring-summer 2022) there was a lot of #1 going around on twitter, screaming about how if you liked izzy hands then you're a racist abuse apologist or something. at one point a throwaway account tweeted a callout for a popular izzy fan and said "we know they live in this area and work for this company, so these are the locations where they might work. everyone should call these numbers and tell their job to fire them. also we're gonna target these izzy fans next" and like, obviously this account was pretty quickly taken down. but it was a pretty scary thing and left a lot of izzy fans pretty paranoid, hence the blocking everyone who didnt like izzy.

(there was also a "izzy hater group chat" twitter account that was literally just a small group of mostly minors posting memes and also abt izzy that got accused of being connected to that whole mess. but afaict those guys have nothing to do with harassment of izzy fans they just dont like izzy)

so the thing is now that all of that has been used to justify shutting down any type of conversation about #2, or writing off anyone who posts meta about izzy that isnt like, "he works so hard and is so unappreciated despite everything he's done for ed" as an "izzy anti." analyzing izzy critically and posting this in the #izzy hands tag on tumblr is likened to genuine harassment.

oh lol and speaking of harrasment: there was also a problem with ppl on tumblr getting anon hate, and izzy fans will tell you that the anon came from an izzy hater who was targeting izzy fans bc the anon messages use "izzy critical rhetoric." however as someone who has posted "izzy critical" metas or whatever, i have actually gotten the same harassing messages accusing me of being an izzy stan and a racist abuse apologist. that's not what a targeted harassment campaign looks like. that's all been less of a problem ever since tumblr made it so you need to be logged in to an account to send anonymous messages.

anyway my stance on all of this:

i don't hate anyone for liking izzy. i am critical of certain comments/behaviors i often see from ppl who identify as izzy fans, but izzy fans are rarely the only ones who have this problem. from what i've seen tho, a lot of it comes from izzy fans.

before i ever saw even a hint of harassment against izzy fans, i saw izzy fans coming onto my posts and to posts by fans of color trying to argue that these posts were contributing to their harassment. from my perspective, it looked a lot like fans of a white character were trying to shut down conversations abt their favorite guy, especially when those conversations were being had by fans of color. i was very skeptical and oftentimes pretty dismissive abt the existence of this harassment.

since then tho ive done a pretty deep dive into the anon harassment on tumblr, and also looked at takes from different perspectives on the whole thing, and my conclusion is that there is harassment of izzy fans, however it is on the same base-level shittiness that most people experience from just... being on the internet. death threats and insults and slurs are literally just part of being on the internet. and yes, it SUCKS and it's wrong and nobody should have to put up with it, but izzy fans are not victims of specific targeted harassment. theyre victims of being on the internet and having to put up with general internet shittiness. and im sympathetic to that up until ppl start using "ive been harassed for being an izzy fan" as an excuse to be incredibly nasty (check out this tumblr acct for examples of what i mean lol). the ofmd fandom is annoying and parts of it are toxic but like, by no means is this the most toxic fandom to ever exist. we're not at "undertale fan giving out cookies with needles in them at a convention" levels just yet.

finally, tangentially related: i am inherently wary of fandom sub-groups that like, name themselves?? in my experience, the more people make being a Type Of Fan part of their identity the more it tends to lead to problems. this goes for fans who label themselves "antis" or "anti-antis" or whatever the fuck. i've personally been called an "izzy anti," an "izzy hater," and an "izzy critical fan" but like, i dont really call myself that?? it just seems weird to me idk. it gets to be very "us vs them" on default with little nuance and ive never found this kind of thing to be like, productive in fandom spaces. but that's just me.

Anon after 1 year of asking me the same question over and over (I'm sorry), I will finally respond.

The real housewives of New York : old-coke(allegedly)-alcoholics-yt women. They are very entertaining so you can probably start randomly and it won't affect you that much (unless if you start by s4 because multiple gets booted after, so if you watch early seasons start from the 1st one). Right now there is the reboot which is the 14th season if you want to follow in real time (entertaining but not the og tho).

The real housewives of Salt Lake City: you are here for a ride. A few words to describe it :Mormons, alleged cult leader, defrauding the elderly and going to jail, almost getting arrested on camera, or someone married to her stepgrandaddy...Rhoslc is the perfect City to start if you want something silly (but also dark) and current since it only got 3 seasons completed and they are doing the s4 right now.

The Real housewives of Atlanta: I haven't seen all rhoa yet but I will recommend for you to start from the 1st season because it represents what true reality TV is about. It's too excellent and Nene Leakes is an icon. You will have a blast.

The real housewives of Potomac: honestly one of the best franchise. The women are very consistent and hilarious.

The real housewives of Beverly Hills: it's iconic but the past years have been boring. I will advise you to start from the beginning like Rhoa because it's what reality TV was about. It's very dark the first two seasons tho (tw domestic violence). I hope you have a blast during the Amsterdam trip.

I have no idea about what's going on in Jersey or Orange County (they all look like maga mega group not saying other housewives aren't but those are triggering lol). Dubai is here but voilà. You got some in Australia which I haven't seen. And I feel like @scortchedtoast would recommend the reboot of Miami. Now enjoy!

No, and you're right! But that's always the assumption people make whenever defenses for Minthe are made - that by empathizing with Minthe, or by pointing out that Hades was just as shitty in the relationship as she was, you're excusing domestic violence and abuse - and they're very... strawmen assumptions, IMO.

The issue with the Minthe debate is that a lot of people fail to hold every other abusive character in the comic to the same standards they hold Minthe, and they fail to recognize everything that led up to the slap.

Like, when Hecate slapped the shit out of Hades for being into Persephone, where were people then? It was played off for laughs.

But then Minthe slaps Hades once during an emotional breakdown and all of a sudden she's an irredeemable villain.

No one deserves to be physically or verbally assaulted whether or not mental health is involved. But when mental health is a factor in cases like Minthe - which it is because she was initially designed with BPD until Rachel retconned it on Discord - it's one of those "it's a reason, not an excuse" sort of deals. If LO Minthe was being written by someone who actually cared about mental health representation, she would have been given the same opportunity to grow and learn from her mistakes and past transgressions just as Hades and Persephone have been given.

Instead, Minthe is a villain for having a moment of cruelty during a breakdown, and Hades and Persephone never seem to have to own up to the shit they do. Abuse is never okay, but LO is essentially saying "abuse is okay if you're cute and rich and if you make funny meme faces while you do it."

Characters like Minthe are WAY more interesting than Hades and Persephone BECAUSE of their flaws, she isn't peddled as perfect, she's real. Minthe and characters like her are raw and genuine, they don't feel like they're putting on some act of "niceness", they feel like people, people who make mistakes and fuck up and suffer consequences for their decisions and their action. I've seen a lot of people empathize with and enjoy Minthe's character simply because they do see themselves in her, they see her vulnerabilities and her flaws and her fears and recognize that she's not perfect. Some people truly are irredeemable beyond repair, but Minthe... Minthe still had a fighting chance. We had that chance when she first dumped Thetis, it was so cathartic to see her take control of her own situation and healing... but then RS backtracked on it immediately because she accidentally made the character who she knew she wanted Persephone to turn into a plant way too empathetic. So instead she opted to dial up Minthe's shittiness to 1584923108 in order to get her audience to hate her - and to ensure anyone who did still empathize with her look abusive by extension.

She didn't need or deserve 'another chance' from Hades, or Hecate, or the other people who she had already hurt countless times. But she does deserve to give herself the chance to grow and learn and move forward to something better. We all do. It's why forgiveness is one of the most essential first steps in growth.

I'm tired of reading about H x P "forgiving" themselves for what they do with false platitudes of TherapySpeak. Because they never learn, they keep acting like shitheads and much of their behavior comes across as fake and disingenuous, like they're just putting on a show. And that's when they actually acknowledge their behavior, more often than not their bullshit is celebrated.

I don't want to celebrate abuse. I want to see character development. You can't develop or grow if you're deluded into thinking you're not doing anything wrong. Persephone and Hades have nowhere to go. Minthe had an entire life ahead of her away from Hades and Thetis... and we were robbed of the chance to witness it.

But that's just my two cents.

What is your opinion on jeankasa? I know its the butt of a lot of fandom jokes but personally I really like it and I think they make a lot of sense together - they both have dream of domestic life, raising a family, that kind of thing. I think they have a really interesting dynamic with a lot to explore. Again Jean is the butt of a tonne of fandom jokes lmao but he’s always been super respectful to Mikasa (Unlike Eren I love him sm but lets be fr) and I also love how he doesn’t hesitate to call her out on a couple different instances on s4 despite his crush, he’s really in tune with reality, like he’s so head over heels but also a potentially very grounding force for her

2/3 (same anon) Also your thoughts on AruAni? I loved it even in S1. I hate when people say it’s random because the seed was planted back then !!! Like it’s very subtle but like…. ofcourse it’s going to be like that given the kind of character Annie, especially, is. They definitely could’ve been handled better in S4, but I think that goes for pretty much everything in the latter half of S4, everything was a bit rushed and packed in all at once

Regarding jeankasa... I honestly don't like it. I agree with you that Jean is a good character and a good person, but I think that ship and especially it being more or less endgame (at least in the manga) comes from the classic case in a lot of male-authored stories, ie that because a male character is in love with a female character, obviously they end up together. His desire is the only necessary building block of the relationship, her purpose is to be desired and since he desires her, it's basically her duty to be with him.

I also think my unenthusiasm for any Mikasa ship (Eren x Mikasa, Jean x Mikasa etc) come from how poorly I think Mikasa herself was handled. Even if she was given somewhat more personality in the manga, she still had basically zero development. The half-assed last chapter and the shoehorned theme of "love" and Mikasa being the one to free Ymir the Founder didn't help. Mikasa as a person is in essence passive and stagnant. She hasn't ever had any goal besides "be close to Eren". I think that if she was given an arc of, for example, travelling to Hizuru and earning an education or accompanying Historia on negotiations with other world leaders would have expanded her character and given her something else to do. Exploring Mikasa's relationship with anyone other than Eren and Armin would've been interesting, even if I love the original trio. I would've really enjoyed seeing Mikasa use her strength and intelligence for something else, and develop interests and motivations separate from Eren. Had she done these things, I think both her relationship to Eren and Jean could've felt more... I don't know, like they had substance?

AruAni I do find cute in some ways, although I'm not really a shipper when it comes to AoT (goes for all ships in this series tbh). Especially in S1 I thought Armin and Annie had potential. I think Bertholdt's memories complicates the relationship, and the character assassination of Armin in S4 really sours the character and the ship for me. I also found the treatment of Annie strange. There's zero animosity in this group. The last time most of them encountered Annie she murdered dozens of people in really awful ways in front of them. She wrecked a city. Not even Connie seems to resent the Warriors at all, and while I found the pie-eating scene both funny and actually realistic (it's absurd, and due to the extremely complex emotions and experiences surrounding the scene, Connie's absurd reaction actually feels believable to me), I also think giving us JUST the pie scene isn't enough.

I think those are pretty much my thoughts rn. I hope to get more asks about aot :-)

One thing about opm, and Genosai in general, is that they live basically in a domestic bliss. Like, they live together, eat together, and know stuff about each other nobody else is really interested in knowing.

And yes, Genos IS, in fact, possessive of Saitama.

Long Time No See (Korean)—Spidermen pointing at each other meme, the mafia version. A hitman who writes Wattpad fic on the side meets up with one of his readers and they proceed to lie their asses off to each other in a comedy of errors while also falling in love.

If you liked the leads' chemistry:

Manner of Death—again, I know, but MaxTul are the kings of BL for a fucking REASON. They've been working together for what, six years now? And it shows. They're really close friends irl and have a great natural chemistry and level of comfort with each other physically that's hard to find.

We Best Love (Taiwanese, both seasons)—say what you will about the couch scene, my man Shi De had his tongue fully down Shu Yi's throat and did NOT hesitate to keep it there. They're not as physically all out as MileApo and MaxTul but they know how to make the tension so thick you hold your breath like you're underwater.

Why R U?—OKAY HEAR ME OUT 😂 sure the show itself is a hot mess, but Saint and Zee ate and even the haters agree. If you were one of the people championing bottom Kinn (hi fellow intellectual) then may I introduce Fighter, the literal poster child of the service top to pillow princess pipeline, and Tutor, his personal Obi-Wan of gay sex.

If you want something like VegasPete:
