Ok another super nitpicky pet peeve but I think nobody needs to use "emerald" to describe green eyes ever again. First of all. It just feels like the writer is trying to signal "this character is hot" in a very lazy way. Second of all...have you never seen an emerald? or have you never seen a human with green eyes? those two shades of green are not the same! "Emerald" is a terrible color descriptor for what most green-eyed people have going on.

look at this. Emerald green is a pretty cool green (has a lot more blue in it), whereas green as an eye color is usually a lot warmer* (more yellow), and is less intense of a color.

And ok I get it. it's supposed to be a kind of exaggeration. Their eyes aren't literally the color of an emerald; it's just signaling that the character's eyes are a particularly intense green, and are perhaps beautiful like precious gems.

However.

You can still do better than that! "Emerald" at this point is a cliche. It's overdone. It wasn't even good to being with, and now it just feels lazy. It doesn't help me picture the character more clearly; picturing someone with eyes the color of emeralds makes them seem cartoonish.

Especially since the world is full of plenty of naturally-occurring greens ripe for comparison.

Just get creative with it, please! Depending on what exactly you want to evoke, you could go for "moss," you could go for "palm leaf," you could go for "underripe banana." Just pick something else, please.

*I know some people can have a cooler, more blue-green eye color. However. That color usually falls under the category of "blue" eyes, and, notably, is still not the same color as an emerald at all. It's still going to be much less intense, and, importantly, there are still plenty of better words to use.

Ok, I am not able to turn my brain off about this, so it's time for some ~wild speculation~ about Good Omens season 2, based on what we know from the trailer!

When prompted about why he ended up at Aziraphale's place, Gabriel implies (with that wonderful line) that he doesn't know anything except that it will all be fine when he is near Aziraphale. Now, of course, he could just as well be talking about another person that he wants to get to, but with the information that we have for now, I will assume that he does mean Aziraphale, and that that is the reply to the "why me?" question.

Now... Why? Why would Gabriel feel that he should stay with Aziraphale? We know how he treated Aziraphale previously, so unless he harboured some very deep and secret admiration for him, it couldn't have been a motivation that came from his "normal" mind.

Of course, it could just be that he was just instinctually drawn to the closest angelic presence, and that just happened to be Aziraphale.

But - and here's where my speculation gets really crazy - but what if the mind wipe was... Intentional? What if Gabriel did it to himself - and what if the knowledge of Aziraphale being a safe bet was left on purpose? If Gabriel was in trouble with someone from Hell or Heaven, who would be the most likely candidate to protect him? Maybe the angel who somehow learned to survive Hellfire?

Ok, wild speculation over. I'm so happy we were right about that purple feather being Gabriel's! (?), and I am so so so excited to see where this mystery actually goes.

the older i get, the more private ive become with sharing nsfw stuff i like. i remember not really enjoying some people interact with my nsfw art (it was slightly worse with vld lol) and a lot of uncomfortable situations.

Overthinking a simple movie hours

Pretty much the title. Ever since the barbie movie came I’ve been thinking of a lot of world elements that will likely not explored at all cause they likely aren’t relevant much to the plot. I was never a big Barbie girl but I didn’t mind them.  They are still one of the few dolls never turned creepy in films so that makes them better to. Anyway here’s some dumb stuff I’ve been thinking on. 1.Barbie seems to be becoming more human so would that mean she’ll get hungry or need to use the bathroom for the first time? I don’t want to be gross but from the bit of there world we see they don’t need privacy or have food since dolls don’t have to eat or actually bath.  2.Will there be a domino affect because she mentioned death and her human like morphing to her friends? We see no one looks past the age of their early to mid 30s so that must mean either no one ages or death just isn’t a thing despite their shocked reaction implying they know the meaning of the word.   Would this lead to her friends slowly also becoming human to while the main Barbie and Ken are off on their adventure? 3.Will this humanization affect the main story Ken while he’s also in the real world along with the other kens? 4.Not saying it needs to happen but would Barbie start questioning love since in one short scene clip with Barbie running out a building with a long odd stare at America Ferrera’s character and Ferrera seems to be a fan of Barbie. It could be just friendship but I don’t know. Being human means asking questions so she might question why she loves ken other then he’s nice and ken since that’s all they know. Not saying they’d break up but maybe a poly thing between the three happen since Ken would be questioning to. 5.If the other Barbies and kens become conscious of life outside and also want to join the real world with their friends would they want to change names or at least nicknames so its less confusing for outsiders?  6.Would it be creepy or make sense for their limbs to come off and on in scenes they fall or are pulled at since most Barbies does can come apart if tugged enough?
