What I say: I'm fine.

What I mean: did you know that coal miners had to lease their equipment from their employers? It was taken out of each paycheck. That men had to crawl and lay on their sides and attempt to swing a pick ax and then place dynamite to get to the coal and would light it hoping they had managed to get far enough away. Or that the mine owners rigged their carts that the miners put what was supposed to hold 2,000lbs of coal in a cart that actually held 2,500lbs but they only got paid for the 2,000. Or that their "pay" was essentially just script that was only good at the company store because the company owned the store, the houses, the people, the whole town. That if they were suspected of unionizing the Baldwin-Felts agents would come and evict whole families from their homes, forcing them to live in make shift tents that they would then burn to get them off the property. That they also black listed said miners to other companies so they couldn't get jobs. Or that majority of the Appalachian coal actually fueled the industrial revolution but people still looked down on the area bc the people were "poor and uneducated" but they failed to realize it was because of them that they had electricity and transportation. Or that people still blame this region for certain problems (i.e. Trump Hillary election) when we're still one of the poorest parts of America and theres still people that live in company towns in the year 2023 who die of black lung each year because even though there's a union overall the region is considered a "waste" by majority of politicians.

Kinda like how the Lin Kuei seems pretty progressive in this timeline. Madam Bo was a member so that means women are already allowed (and with Madam Bo's age, they've BEEN alloewd) and are respected members (even after they retire from the Lin Kuei). Outsiders (or people who are not Chinese I guess) are already welcomed since Cyrax and Smoke are members. Hell, the grandmaster even adopted Smoke, which he didn't have to (and I think just letting the Lin Kuei in general adopt the boy would've sufficed, but he wanted to give Smoke a family since his was taken away).

This is gonna sound weird, but I've had this headcannon about Wally Darling for a while, and I would've added it to the WH headcannon list, but there's so much detail I want to go into that I'd rather just make this a separate post.

Imagine if you will:

Wally Darling is obsessed with death. No, not in like a creepy way. And not the way a serial killer would be. He just simply has a special interest for death.

If you ask him how he got this special interest, he'll say he doesn't remember. But he will tell you why it's so interesting to him.

He won't be $uiçï/ðæł or anything, but he'll be giddy thinking about how he's gonna die (he loves surprises), and he'll often talk about different ways people can die and where we think we go when we die, etc.

He only really tells this to Barnaby though because everyone else isn't comfortable discussing death the way Wally does. Barnaby understands that Wally's just really passionate. I mean, you wouldn't be able to tell how passionate he is, but Barn can, and that's all that matters.

Wally often finds himself planning his funeral, like he's planning a birthday party, even going as far as calling it his big day.

Despite how weird his special interest is, and how uncomfortable it makes most of tge neighbors, they can't deny that it's nice to see Wally so passionate about something. He sees the beauty in everything, even death. He knows that it'll happen to everyone, and he just wants to live his life to the fullest. He would be devastated if his neighbors died, but he would still be happy knowing he got to enjoy their life along with them.

Blue Diamond Au

First post, yay. This is scary. Anyways this is my thoughts and reasoning on how the blue diamond au would work in canon for Steven universe. I'm just going to be rambling, so sorry if you get bored.

So the diamond authority, the very beginning. I think that the first big divergence in the main plot is that blue diamond gets earth as a colony or that pink has earth first but after her want to stop colonizing earth, blue decides instead to take control of earth compared to pink starting a uprising. So blue has earth now, either way works, but how do we make blue sympathize with the organic life forms? Well she sees the ways that animals and human communities are so emotional driven. So now that she's liking the the organics, she wants to protect them. Another thing I want to point out is that the diamonds authority and it's leadership is the same, so the diamonds have the same shape. So the crystal gems are formed, I think that blue would still have her pearl that she has in the show as she wouldn't be the one to physically lash out as pink did to volleyball. So blue pearl is there. Then I think amethyst would stay relatively the same personality wise, she might looked a bit different to fit the aesthetic of the others. I think garnet would be the same too because garnet form the show was part of blue diamonds court, I imagine the fusing and recruitment would play out differently but we would have the same sapphire and ruby. Maybe garnet is more like sapphire, physically and aesthetically? Tell me you ideas in the replies?

So we got the main group, white, yellow, and pink did the mega blast. I think instead of a star symbol for the crystal gems, it's a heart because blue is so emotional that it would make sense visually for a heart. I think that blues weapons would be a estoc or tuck sword with a treat drop handle. I think that the time between the end of the war and greg is relatively stays the same, maybe the temple in in a forest near beach City or if it is by the beach, then the statue would slightly different? Anyways, I think that blue still ends up at Greg but maybe Greg is in a different profession, like into more classical instruments. I find that Steven would be tall and with black hair, emo. And blue would have been transformed into a lapis lazuli or s blue hally agate. Anyways, tell me what you agree with and disagree with.
