Two days ago I found out Honey Bee has IVDD also known as degenerate disk disease. She’s on a month of kennel rest and three separate medications three times a day to keep her calm and help relieve the pressure on her spine. If after the month is up she’s still struggling to walk and in pain she will most likely have to have surgery as her next step. I’m very hopeful but it’s been a struggle to get her to take her meds even in food. I’ve been a bawling mess off and on since I took her to the vet. They said she’s having very mild symptoms because she’s still able to hold her head up high and walk and that her chances of recovery without surgical intervention are high, but I still hate seeing her in any type of discomfort. I knew problems like this could and would happen someday but I guess I just thought it would be a little later in her life as she is only three. She’s my best friend and I love her to death. Wish us a speedy recovery over the next month 💜🐶

January 6th I said my goodbye to my baby, the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. She lived a good life. I’m really not doin so good lately depression has hit. It’s hard thinking of something and her not being apart of that memory. I know she’s watching over me still protecting me 💗 this my og post I had made on my fb > Saying goodbye to my best friend of 17 years. All the love, laughter, walks, hikes, trips to mamaws to lay in the sun pool side, all the days of work, all our lazy nap all day days, and all the chicken nuggies.

KANDI has lived a Wonderful long happy life. Unfortunately, her health was declining so bad she has finally stopped eating 😭

I understand I was fortunate to get to have my best friend for 17 years not many people can say that. and I have cherished every moment ❤️

Like I told Kandi “Don’t worry Trixie is not taking your place, she’s just holding it till you come back some day “

I will always love you my Sweet Dandi Kandi girl I could never forget you if I tired.
