Video recording of my daughter's first dance recital (you can't see her very well, she's on stage).
I filmed her teacher so that my daughter could practice on her own at home. So it's an educational film. But at home, apart from me, no one watches this video regularly. Dancing doesn't seem to interest the rest of my family.

Look at this really cool video the natural history museum of Los Angeles live animals team posted: link! of their rattlesnake shedding! (Her name is Jupiter FYI)
They mention that rattlesnakes add a new rattle every time they shed- That’s so cool!
This is super cool!
And yeah, rattlesnakes add a new rattle segment with every shed! A lot of people expect the rattles to be filled with something, but they're not - they're hollow, and the sound is just the layers of keratin clicking together super fast. If you tap your fingernails together as fast as you can and compare it to a rattle, you can kinda get the effect. If you look at the inside of a rattle, you can see the layers:

Jan 25, 2021 — (Ironically, I have a degree in anthropology and I think it's a fascinating discipline; Good thing my favorite anthro professor back in my university days wisely recommended that we understand the controversies around the term.) Truth be told, it offends many people. Here's why: #1 For European missionaries and explorers who went out to conquer people, the word “tribal” was synonymous to “savage” and “primitive.” It's mainstream connotation is rooted in colonial-era racist ideology. The word immediately conjures stereotypical imagery of brown people with bones in their noses or naked warriors running around in a rainforest.

These are designs of characters I created for a series of animated shorts called "The Ecoptimists." The purpose of these shorts is to address eco-anxiety when combating climate catastrophe as well as becoming involved in climate action. It is imperative to know that when you get involved in activism for the planet, you may be going through certain feelings and emotions, both physically and mentally. These shorts are meant to help kids cope with these feelings in a healthy and constructive matter. I'm hoping to make this project a reality in the near future, as I don't believe the subject of eco-anxiety has been discussed enough in the environmental community.
