I really do wish joel or bdubs won, mostly joel because it would've been so good but I deffo think scar deserved this win.

I think it wouldve been kind of funny if in the 1v1 battle between scar and pearl.. pearl won... and it's just, awkward cause she... didn't want that. at all.

She wanted scar to win after bdubs and joel died, she wanted to sacrifice her life to scar in the end because she wanted her allies to win.

I also think shiny duo is a tragedy in the end. I really hope someone makes a fanfic about them in secret life cause they just, they, they just, <3 <3 <3

Pink Pearl (Peep) and Robot Spinel Au (Part 2)

As Peep walked off the steps and got into the garden, she could make out more of the mysterious figure's features. It had a upside-down heart shaped stone on its chest so Peep knew right away that it was another gem. Her hair was a magenta color and was in the form of pigtails. She wore a dark magenta top and puffy magenta shorts along with pink shoulder pads and gloves. She also had white stockings and knee-high boots. Her head seemed to be slightly lowered and had her hands clasped together in front of her.

Peep felt a bit of relief. Many of the gems on Homeworld had dropped their old ways and had become more accepting of each other. They were also allowed to explore other planets to help dismantle the Diamond’s empire or just to have an adventure. Maybe this gem had come here by accident and decided to explore the area. Peep having more optimism, started running up to the pink gem.

When she got closer however, something made her stop in her tracks.

The gem had an unusual look about her. There was a weird luster to her that no gem should have. She had segmented lines all across her arms and legs, similar to how gems looked when they were hit with a destabilizer. A gray dot was on each side of her mouth and boots. She also had her eyes closed as if she were sleeping. Three more lines ran down each of the eyes. The weirdest part of all however, was the fact that she looked very withered and what seemed like wires were protruding out of her.

Peep was taken aback by this. Not only did this gem didn’t really look like a gem at all but it looked like she had been here for a very long time. This was proven by the fact that the overgrowth had consumed her feet and vines were running up her legs.

“How can this be?” Peep thought, “Pink and I were the only ones allowed in the garden. How did this… thing get here and stay here as long as it has without anyone noticing?”

Although fear of knowing nothing about this being and what it might do if she woke it up, Peep wanted answers. Peep cautiously walked up to the uncanny gem until she was a foot away from it.

“Hey… Do you mind waking up, you seem like you’ve been sleeping for a long time,” Peep said.

No response came from her.

“I know you can hear me. Stop pretending you can’t,” Peep said a bit louder.

Still nothing.

“Just wake up already!” Peep shouted, frustratingly so.

She didn’t even move an inch.

Peep gave an exasperated sigh. Maybe the being wasn’t really sleeping after all. Peep then decided to get up close and take a closer look. She circled around the being thinking of what to do when her eyes landed on the heart-shaped gemstone. It had a colorless gray look to it that stood out from the pink complexion.

Peep found this interesting and thought that maybe she could do something with it. Peep then put out her hand and slowly reached for the gemstone. Her arm shook more vigorously as it came closer but eventually her fingers made contact with the gemstone.

In that exact moment the gemstone suddenly began to glow brightly. The being began to shake, making clicking sounds as it did so. Peep quickly pulled her arm back and was so paralyzed by fear that she couldn’t move.

The being continued to shake and click until her eyes began to slowly open. Peep continued to look on in horror. At last, after a bit of creaking her magenta eyes were now fully open and they blinked up at Peep.

Peep, finally regaining her senses, began to back away only to be tripped up by the rubble and fell down hard to the ground. In the midst of the pain she looked up at those magenta eyes as they stared back at her.

She then began to speak: ”Wh….at?...*creak*..Wh..o..oo..a.r..e..*snap*..y..o...u?”

She spoke in a broken voice that was interfered with mechanical noises. The ends of her hanging wires also began to spark constantly. Peep was at a loss for words. She couldn’t think of anything to say over the shock she just had.

“P-Peep,” was the only word that seemed to escape from her mouth.

“Y..ou..’re..*crack*..n..o..t..h..e..r..*click*. Wh...er..e...i..s..*tik*...s..h..e?”

“W-Who are you talking about?” Peep asked.

“I..w..as..*grind*...su..p..p..o..s..ed..t..o.*snap*..w..ai..t..f..o.*crack*.r..h.e..r..b..ut..s..h*click*e..h..as..*click*n’t..c..o..me..b..*pop*a..ck..y..e..*clink**clank*t..”

It was hard for Peep to make out what the robot said as the interruptions in her speech were becoming more frequent and distorting. The gemstone then began to lose it’s pink glow and the robot’s eyes started to flutter.

Peep immediately got up from the ground just as the robot began to stagger and lose its balance in the overgrowth. Peep caught her as she started to fall and helped her back on her feet. The robot was still struggling to stay active as she began to shake again and sparks were now flying off of her. Peep still held on to her by the shoulders

“You don’t look too well,” Peep said, “I can get you out of here and-”

“NO!” The robot snapped, “Sh..e..ee.*crack* t..o..old..mmm..*click*...ee..t..o..*grind*..s..t..ay..h..eerr*snap*..ee.”

“Who is this ‘she’ you keep talking about?!” Peep retorted.

The robot tried to answer but she couldn’t compose herself any longer. Her gemstone lost more of it’s radiance until it had reverted back to a grey color. Her eyes snapped shut and she began to fall forward. Peep grabbed onto her as she fell right into her.

Before the robot fell completely limp in Peep’s arms, she uttered something that would change Peep’s world forever.

“P..i..n..k.”

Gods of This World

Pretty much each kingdom has their own gods, and then there are the two main gods of the worlds. I’ll briefly go over each and later go into more of how they are worshipped by each kingdom.

Kingdom of Spades: They worship 3 gods, with one main and two minor.

Main God: Nalia (Nal-li-aa) - Goddess of Wisdom, Ice, Knowledge, and Intuition. She goes by She/Her pronouns and is depicted as a owl with the moon as a crown on her head and stars in her feathers. She is kind, but firm, the mother that is silently pleased with you, even if she pushes you to do better. She cares deeply for her chicks and wouldn’t let harm befall them if it’s in her power to protect them. She is worshipped mostly by the Kings, Queens, Jacks, and sometimes 10′s of the kingdom. She had two god children, Fall and Flow.

Minor Gods: Fall and Flow- Gods of Pull and Push, the ever forces of the two types of magics in the Spades kingdom, Sleet and Snow, Create and Build, Speech and Memory, Movement and Thoughts. They used They/Them pronouns, as in many books they have no real gender and cam appear as either. Depicted as two fish, Fall is the chaotic of the two with thorn like fins and jagged patterns down their back, their sibling, Flow, is calmer, with rounded fins and soft, squiggly patters down their back. Flow is worshipped by the numbers 2 - 5, sometimes 10′s, representing Push, Snow, Build, Memory, and Thoughts. Fall is worshipped by numbers 6 - 9, sometimes 10′s, representing Pull, Sleet, Create, Speech, and Movement.

Kingdom of Hearts: They have two major gods in their pantheon.

Major God: Kliad (K-lie-da) - God of the Sun, Jungles, Speed, Truths, and Strength. Uses He/Him pronouns and is depicted as a cat with an orb in his hand that is bright blue and the sun as a halo around his head. Worshipped mostly by the cat people of the jungle, but still seen as the opposite to his sister, Fergo, the people of the Hearts look to Kliad for strength in coming wars and to force the truth from their enemies, and speed for ambushing enemies. It’s through his sun that the deserts remain hot and the sands hotter, just the way the people of the Hearts like their days. He is firm, stern, a bit of a hot-head, claws, and teeth.

Major God: Fergo (Fur-Go) - God of the Moon, Sands, Stealth, Lies, and Endurance. Uses She/Her pronouns and is depicted as a lamia, with a yellow orb in her hand and with the moon as a halo around her head. Worshipped by the sand dwelling nagas and lamia’s mostly, but seen as the opposite to her brother, Kliad, the people of Hearts look to Fergo for endurance in fights to last longer, stealth to sneak up on their enemies, and the ability to lie smoothly when the situation calls for it. The nights in the south are shockingly very cold, especially out in the sands, Fergo’s moon brings to end the heat, and leaves the chill, which is when the People of Hearts do most of their work, between the hours of dawn and dusk. She is firm as well, but collected, calculative, and silent as the shadows.

Kingdom of Clubs: They have 1 major god, and 4 minor gods.

Major God: Adderian (Add-dear-ee-an) - Mother God of the land itself, they are the very ground one walks on and where all her children come from. Using They/Them pronouns as they can look either male of female or both if they wish. They are depicted as a chimera of sorts, with a bears head, wolves body, and the tail of a horse. Most other kingdoms think this is weird, but that’s the Clubs for you. Being part of the far forests and valleys of the east they had most of these traits, and everyone pretty much worships Adderian as the main god and through the seasons give to them and their children. This is so because only the forests of the east experience seasons. They are very mothering and very caring to all, unlike Nalia who is the ‘scolding mother’ Adderian is the ‘soft mother’.

Minor God: Thunder (Th-un-der) - God of the valleys and the many grassplains that exist between the forests, he is also god of Summer, storms, and green leaves and summer harvest. He uses He/Him pronouns and is depicted as a centaur that is pure black with white accents on his hooves and tail, he is also very large and tall, the name ‘Thunder’ comes from the fact of when he runs the ground itself shakes sounding like thunder. He brings the storms of the summer after the showers of spring. His main place of worship is the Wheat Meadows, where the biggest harvest is had in the kingdom every two years.

Minor Goddess: Dodiea (Da-dee-a) - Goddess of the rivers, lakes, and streams, she brings the showers of spring, the flowers, and sows the seeds for the summer harvest. She uses She/Her pronouns and is depicted as a wolf with silvery grey fur and soft blue eyes. She brings the rain for the crops and seeds to grow for the next major harvest and brings the flowers of the spring and the buds on the trees. Her main place of worship is the Ebony Lake, the largest lake of the Club’s territory and said to have the power to make anything grow.

Minor God: Fenick (Fen-ick) - God of the forests, of the autumn harvest, of the winds, and travelers. Fenick uses he/him pronouns and is depicted as a bear with a lantern in his hands, tall boy with paws as big as your head and claws that are two inches long. He brings with him the cold winds of the north and the harvest before winter, he is also seen as the god of travelers as his winds set you on your path in life. His place of worship is the Elder Tree in Brightburn Forests. A tree that is said to be made up of the four main trees you find in the forest, a maple, ash, birch, and pine. It’s hallow on the inside, and said to be where Fenick lives and hibernates until the Summer Harvest.

Minor God: Zanthia (Zan-thi-aa) - God of the mountains and hills, of the winter, of the dead, and the afterlife. Zanthia uses They/Them pronouns and is depicted as a white snow hare with bright red eyes. They are neither the strongest like Thunder, nor the swiftest like Dodiea, they are not wise like Fenick, they are instead the understanding. With winter comes the barren of the land, the frost of the soil and the death of the crops to sleep for the new year. Zanthia charts the course of the dead to the afterlife, along the river of seasons and to be reincarnated into the earth again. Such is the cycle. Zanthia may not look it, but they know much more than a Club could ever hope. Their place of worship is the silent hills of Hare Winds, it is said the winds in the winter are the voices of many Clubs who have fallen and have returned to the earth itself to await another life.

Kingdom of Diamonds: They have 3 Major Gods.

Major God: Bruno (Brew-no) - God of the giants, having created the many canyons with a mighty swipe of his club. Uses He/Him pronouns and depicted as a rock giant with gray, stone skin, and intense silver eyes. His club is ten feet long, with he himself being 15 feet tall, his walking causes earthquakes that cause the canyons to be placed, then he merely carved them out with his stone and wood club. He rarely leaves the rocky canyons he calls home, but when he does, it’s said to be sign that he is displeased, for earthquakes follow.

Major God: Thieon (Th-ee-on) - God of the dwarfs, of caves, of miners, and said to be the protector of those who make their way underground. Uses They/Them pronouns and depicted as a dwarf with a long red beard, short, stubby, and wielding a pick made of harden steel and blood. Theion is gruff and rough, having a sharp tongue and does not suffer fools lightly in their tunnels. They made them after all, and it’s through their skills of caves that the dwarfs of the Diamonds can create mineshafts. They live underground and are said to help those under the earth find their way to the surface should danger be near.

Major God: Silveria (Sil-ver-ee-a) - Goddess of gems, of magical crystals, and of rare finds. Using She/Her pronouns and depicted as a humanoid being covered in gems, with a crystal skin, and spiky hair and hands and thin, pointed legs. She is the bringer of any rare ores found in the mineshafts or the land above. The Diamonds are the main export of jewelry and are considered a wealthy kingdom. Silveria is the one who said to create the many gems found in the canyons of the east, and is the most elusive of the three. Is she’s as worshiped as her siblings, but she has a firm place in the pantheon of diamonds. Without her, gems would never grow, and never would they have become the wealthy kingdom.

The Major Gods of The World and the Creators

God of Destruction - Joan - Using They/Them Pronouns and is considered the god that helped create the world with their partner Talyn. Is the God of Destruction, Chaos, Entropy, Fire, and Earth. They are chaotic and a little unpredictable, they used their powers to bring death, and created the land which Tayln gave green life too.

God of Creation - Tayln - Using They/Them Pronouns and is considered the god that helped create the world with their partner Joan. Is the God of Creation, Order, Harmony, Water, and Air. Spontaneous, jumpy, and a little clingy, they used their powers to makes the green and gave life to the world.

Mythical Demigods of The World, The Jokers.

Demigod of Chaos - Remy - Using He/Him or They/Them Pronouns and is said to be a Joker, not much else is known about him as he’s rather elusive. Thought to be just a myth.

Demigod of Order - Emile - Using He/Him or They/Them Pronouns and is said to be a Joker, not much else is known about him as he’s rather elusive. Thought to be just a myth.

Dakien (Dak-ee-en):

Though he may not act like it, Dakien is OLD

He was a ‘prototype’ Stone Warrior made by the Overlord, the first and last of his type ever made. Him and others that were going to be made like him had been given the names Stone Beasts

Dakien was only just made when the Overlord was sealed away, so he was dormant for most of his life beneath Ninjago City, in a space separate from the other Stone Warriors

Recently after Echo became Tailath’s champion (and when he wasn’t good at using different weapons other than his dual swords yet), one of the first places he went to check for hidden creatures was under Ninjago City. He stumbled upon Dakien and accidentally woke him up

Echo was terrified at first, but it was soon relieved that Dakien was more of a curious puppy than a monster of darkness

They quickly bonded and Dakien became a part of Echo’s little group

Dakien can only communicates in grunts and growls. He cant speak as he has no vocal cords

Dakien likes rolling on the ground, especially in super grassy and muddy areas. He’s fascinated with the stuff. He likes rolling down hills for fun

He also adores birds! If there are birds nearby he’ll just. watch them. with the utmost diligence

pigeons are his favorite. He thinks they’re amazing

He also can’t swim. He’s so heavy he just sinks

Good thing he doesn't need to breath. He can track scents though. His nose is sharper than a blood-hound

Whenever the group finds any dangerous or ancient artifact they just give it to him and he eats it. Boom, problem solved, no one can get it now

Making him angry is a death sentence

Echo:

Restating a couple things here: In this Au, what happened was that Echo was built but didn’t work at first, so Dr. Julien gave up on him and thought he was a failure. Gizmo, however, was able to get him working somehow, but only after the ninja had left the lighthouse

Nya’s and Jay’s memories are blurry after Skybound, so they hardly remember primary points of what happened there, let alone Echo. If they did remember him, they would have never left him

Echo does remember the events of Skybound clearly and was angry at the two of them for a long time before Tailath explained what was up with their memory’s. He doesn’t mind too much now and has forgiven them, though the subject is still a bit of a sore topic.

Extremely curious about new things and was shy about people at first, but has slowly gotten more comfortable around others

Gains a bit of sass and snark later on

Swords can cut portals to other dimensions if he’s been told that there’s something that needs to be dealt with there

Terrifying accuracy

Can shoot out short pulses of plasma from his hand like Iron-Man. These do take a lot of energy to make though, so he uses them sparingly.

Althkour (Al-th-kour):

An old old snake who was revived by scientists by using DNA from the five serpentine tribes still alive.

His kind are the ancestors of the Hypnobrai and ‘Pyro Vipers’ when they’re not all fiery. They were massive compared to the modern serpentine tribes.

He’s brothers with the mother of Wu and Garmadon

She was a human adopted into his family of snakes and they all lived in the city of Ouroboros with the rest of their kind. This was long before the other tribes lived there.

They did not worship the Great Devourer because the thing didn’t exist at the time

They were the closets of siblings and they loved each other very much

Althkour worked hard. He fought talon and fang and he was eventually appointed commander of the armies and was in charge of protecting the kingdom.

His sister was very proud of her big bro!

One day, a man came into the city and was granted hospitality for a week before he would leave.

He was the First Spinjitzu Master and Althkour’s sister and him formed a bond

She wanted to leave with him to see the outside world and although Althkour was sad, he was happy for her and sent her off with a smile

Time passes and the two of them got married and Althkour is so happy for them! They have the wedding in Ouroboros and everything and it’s super traditional but with a bit of a human flair to it that most didn’t mind

It wasn’t long after that though when Ouroboros was attacked. Althkour died in the battle, however he was able to save two groups of serpentine. These would later on become the Hypnobrai and ‘Pyro Vipers’

Many Millennia pass and he is suddenly revived by curious and cruel scientists who wanted to study him and possibly use him for something else

He was in there for so long before Echo and Dakien rescued him

He was constantly on edge and wary at first but has calmed down

He’s more calm and composed than he was in his former life, though still powerful and smart

Echo sees him as a grumpy old grandpa

“Existence is a hassle, but it’s more bearable knowing some that I care for still live on.”

Has some powers of the other tribes that he didn’t before.

Venomari/Fangpyre: Weak venom that can cause pain for days and sometimes minor hallucinations

Constrictai: Scales/plates are a bit harder

Hypnobrai: Can control someone (only ability he got fully)

Anacondrai: Can become invisible for an extremely short amount of time

He (and others of his kind) did have a hood before he was revived, its just the patterns that have changed a bit

The Hypnobrai came much later. The ‘Pyro Vipers’, when in their normal forms, are closer to what Althkour‘s kind looked like, but they are smaller and have weaker scales with no hood.

Never got to meet Wu or Garmadon. Wishes he could and longs to see Wu, but is not sure how much his nephew knows of him or how he would react.

His back plates used to be more blue, but now they’re purple due to the addition of the other tribes DNA. Other than that, his extra eye from the Venomari and his hood markings he looks almost exactly the same just with bigger fangs for better injecting venom and slightly different colors

So basically, this was all made up way before the end of season 3. And it does contain an AU I really like, which may seem weird to y’all, but bear with me here. Also this will be long, lol.

Gems all came from a radiation blast from a nearby dying star that affected crystal diamonds on a planet known as Theria (soft-sounding “th”, so “th-air-ee-uh”), named by them later on. 8 crystal diamonds (later on just called “crystals”) emerged from a cave, which has been preserved by them and dubbed “The Cave of Beginnings”. Happens about 1 billion years ago.

The newly emerged crystals all each have two crystals, connected by a thin, but extremely strong, piece of rock. They have them placed parallel to each other somewhere on their bodies. Some on their heads, some on their back.

One of my main OCs is one of these crystals: White Crystal, typically just called “Crystal” by those close to her. Her two crystals are located on her back where her shoulder blades would be. Super spiky white hair. Think “regal” like White Diamond (whom comes in later), but like, a bit childish in some ways. She later becomes the head of their military, which is rarely used as I will explain.

One thing to keep in mind, the crystals are enormous. Like, easily twice the height of the diamonds. Later on they tend to shrink themselves down, especially when their main city is built, to be less intimidating and for easier travel.

So, we have 8 crystals, an empty, desolate, gargantuan, rocky planet. The only one in the entire solar system they are in (a rocky planet the size of Jupiter). They have no language as of yet, so they quickly develop their language so they can communicate. Later on called Therian, after the planet. Once established and they understand it, they split up the planet between the 8 of them. White, black, red, blue, yellow, green, pink, and orange.

They were content, always meeting each other to talk and develop their language even more. After a few years, something odd happens to them. They get this strange, uncontrollable urge to reproduce (Gem Egg Hell incoming), and so they all end up doing the do and laying “eggs”, completely confusing them as to what just happened. They protect them, though, and they hatch into various different gems. None of them crystals though. They were so tiny and helpless, but they grew at a rapid pace. Their gems all had spikes on them (which would disappear generations down).

A closer look at all 22 players that signed with Auburn yesterday

Funny how fast things can change in recruiting. On Tuesday afternoon and evening, the Auburn family wasn’t feeling great about the direction of this 2020 class. 3* OT Jeremy Flax had just chosen Kentucky over Auburn, Alabama was trending for 4* TE Jeremiah Pegues, 4* DB Eric Reed Jr still seemed like a pipe dream and it was hard to tell what exactly was going to happen with 3* Buck Romello Height. It looked like Auburn might only be adding one more player to its 2020 class and would head into January with quite a few spots still left to fill.

But a lot changed in 24 hours. By the end of the day Wednesday, Auburn had gone 4/5 on their top targets, signed 18 of their 20 commits and surged to just outside the top 5 of 247 Composite team rankings. So much for a poor close huh?

If you want a full play by play of what happened yesterday, checkout the live thread. I did my best to document things as they happened so if you are a normal human being who spent their day working instead of following the decision of high school athletes, you can at least get a feel for the flow of the day.

Here’s a breakdown of who signed yesterday.

Quarterback

3* Chayil Garnett (EE)

It was going to be hard to find a blue chip prospect willing to sit for at least 2 years behind Bo Nix. So Auburn went out and tried to hunt down a developmental player who has the tools they believe can be successful in Auburn’s scheme and can develop over the next 2 years. They found that in Garnett.

He’s a true dual threat QB with the raw tools to be a very good player at the next level. His senior season did not go as hoped in large part because of a nagging injury but he will be on campus this spring and have a chance to compete for the back up spot. It’s vitally important Auburn have confidence in their #2 trigger man so that they feel comfortable using Nix’s legs in the offense. It wouldn’t be a shock if AU went out and found a 2nd QB in the late period.

Running Back

5* Tank Bigsby (EE)

One of the reasons Gus Malzahn decided to move on from long time running back coach Tim Horton was his desire to add a more dynamic recruiter to the staff. Horton is an outstanding coach and a very good recruiter but it was clear that Auburn’s rivals had an edge on the trail in terms of signing elite talent.

Enter Carnell Williams.

In his first year as Auburn’s running back coach he reeled in the #4 RB in the country per 247 Composite and the Tigers’ only 5* prospect. Not bad for a debut.

As for Tank, he’s everything you want in a running back. Malzahn called him a “one-play drive type of guy” and that’s a great description of what he brings to AU’s backfield that’s missing right now. This was a huge win for the Tigers and I fully expect Bigsby to be apart of the offense next year. With Boobee, DJ, Shivers, Joiner, Mark-Antony Richards and Bigsby, the Tigers are as deep at that position as they have been in quite awhile.

Wide Receiver

4* Kobe Hudson (EE), 4* Ze’Vian Capers, 4* J.J. Evans, 3* Elijah Canion

Kodi Burns once again did work on the trail. He’s been a very good recruiter since joining Auburn’s staff but this 2020 group might be his best yet.

Kobe Hudson was the leader of this 2020 class, committing the earliest of the signees and staying loyal through an 8-5 season. He’s a playmaker that has a knack for making defenders miss in space and elite short area quickness. Hudson actually reported yesterday afternoon to Auburn and will participate in bowl practice. Don’t be shocked if he’s apart of the WR rotation in 2020.

Capers, Evans and Canion provide Auburn with some much needed size to Auburn’s WR corps. All three are listed at 6’3” plus and bring some physical traits the Tigers have been lacking. Capers is an explosive weapon in the open field who can also stretch a defense vertically while being a nightmare matchup in the redzone. Evans is a true deep threat who isn’t afraid to get his nose dirty blocking on the edge. The staff thinks Canion is one of the more underrated prospects in this class with Malzahn comparing his skillset to Seth Williams. At least one, possibly two signees from this group will make an impact next season.

Tight End

4* Jeremiah Pegues (EE)

One of the most unique athletes in this class, Auburn was able to hold off a late surge by the Crimson Tide to ink their top tight end target. Pegues is penciled in to play the 3-back position in the Tigers’ offense and brings as complete a skillset to that position as any player Auburn has had. He can carry the football, block on the edge, split out wide or even play a little Wildcat QB all at 6’2” 290+ lbs. Pegues is an early enrollee and will have a chance to push for playing time behind John Samuel Shenker in 2020.

Offensive Line

3* Avery Jernigan (EE), 3* Kilian Zierer (EE), 3* Brenden Coffey, 3* Tate Johnson (EE), 3* Jeremiah Wright

Gus Malzahn promised that the 2020 OL class would be one of his biggest yet last signing day and has delivered on that promise. Avery Jernigan and Tate Johnson were the stars of social media yesterday accurately predicting every single one of Auburn’s commitments. They also give Auburn two outstanding interior players for the future. They became leaders of this 2020 class and I suspect will one day be leaders for Auburn’s football program. Both are enrolling early and will be roommates their freshman year on the Plains.

Wright is an interesting prospect. Malzahn stated in his press conference yesterday that he believes Wright would be more highly regarded if he played in more highly trafficked areas such as Atlanta. The gist being they think they’ve found an underrated gem. He’s a massive human being at 6’5” 340 lbs who could play tackle or guard for the Tigers. I personally think his future is inside but he will likely start out at right tackle.

Finally, Auburn reeled in two of the top three JUCO offensive tackles in the 2020 class. Kilian Zierer only started playing football a couple of years ago but has already blossomed into a top JUCO prospect. Unfortunately, an ACL injury will keep him out of spring practice which likely impacts his chances of winning the starting job. Coffey won’t be an early enrollee but might be the best pure athlete of Auburn’s 5 OL signees. He will arrive in the summer and will attempt to at least crack the two deep in 2020.

It wasn’t all roses though on the trail for Auburn at this position. Losing Flax hurt because he was an early enrollee and had three more years of eligibility. Auburn also lost their top ranked prep prospect last week in Javion Cohen. I fully expect Auburn to sign at least one more offensive tackle in February.

Defensive Line

4* Zykeivous Walker (EE), 3* Romello Height (EE), 3* Daniel Foster-Allen (EE)

Always trust Rodney Garner. Jay Hardy not signing early takes a little luster off this group but overall hard not to be very happy with this threesome. All three are early enrollees who will have a chance to find a way into Auburn’s rotation next season.

Walker was one of Auburn’s biggest victories on the trail beating out the Dawgs for the nation’s #7 SDE. The staff is extremely high on this kid and there is a strong belief he will be an impact player in 2020.

Height was a surprise flip from Miami who brings a skillset to Auburn’s defensive line they don’t really have right now. He has a combination of length, quickness and bend that is needed to be an elite pass rusher. Auburn’s defensive line was the best in the land this past season but if there was a weakness it was the lack of a truly dominant edge rusher ala Jeff Holland or Carl Lawson. Height has the skillset to make that type of impact.

Finally, Auburn likes Foster-Allen a lot. He’s only 17 years old and still growing so don’t be surprised if he’s eventually a 6’5” 300 lb force in the interior. He will need to get stronger if he wants to play immediately but getting him on campus early is big. I expect him to eventually develop into a very important piece of Auburn’s DL rotation.

Linebacker

4* Wesley Steiner, 4* Desmond Tisdol, 4* Cam Riley

It’s been a wild year for Auburn’s linebacker recruiting. They lost two top 50 players in Trenton Simpson and Demouy Kennedy that absolutely hurt. But Travis Williams still signed a three man blue chip class who look likely to continue Auburn’s resurgence at linebacker.

Steiner is a special athlete. As I have mentioned pretty much every time I write about Steiner, he beat Owen Pappoe’s SPARQ score this past July which should tell you what type of athleticism this kid possesses. Desmond Tisdol is a big time athlete as well who WANTS to be an Auburn Tiger and looks to be a future starting MLB. Then there’s Cam Riley who had an incredibly productive senior campaign and could play any number of positions for the Tigers moving forward.

Losing 5*s hurt but this is still a durn good linebacker class that should have fans excited for the future.

Defensive Backs

4* Eric Reed Jr, 4* Ladarius Tennison (EE), 4* Chris Thompson Jr (EE), 4* Marco Domio (EE)

Auburn is starting to show some encouraging consistency in signing blue chip defensive backs. In the past, Auburn often relied on overlooked athletes that they developed into DBs. Now the Tigers are beating top programs in the country for big time talent. That’s an important change considering the continued growth of dynamic passing attacks in the SEC.

Reed Jr, in my opinion at least, was the big time win yesterday. He’s an elite talent that UGA really wanted. Auburn was able to beat out the Dawgs for the LA native who can do a little of everything. It’s likely he will start out at cornerback but he can play almost anywhere in the secondary.

If Noah Igbinoghene leaves early that would mean Auburn is down four starting DBs including both corners. Roger McCreary was a de facto starter and will lock down one spot next season. But the Tigers will need someone ready to go day 1 next season from this 2020 class. That’s where Marco Domio fits in. Auburn fought off LSU and A&M for his commit earlier this summer. He’s an early enrollee so don’t be surprised if he’s starting for the Tigers September 5th, 2020.

Then there the Bash Bros (I am trying to make this a thing) in Chris Thompson Jr and Ladarius Tennison. They have completely different body types but produce the same results - pain. Auburn plucked Thompson away from the in state Longhorns in a shocker over the summer. Tennison is a former Miami commit (Manny Diaz is probably not an Auburn fan) who is a freaky athlete that isn’t afraid to deliver some punishment. Both will practice this spring and have a chance to carve out role in Auburn’s defense in 2020

Part 1: The Forbidden Dance in the Moonlight.

Prince Yoongi was the first and only child of King and Queen Min.The Honorable and benevolent rulers of the great eastern lands of Miook. Which could explain why they felt the need to keep watch on him with a careful eye. Not only was he the heir to the throne, he was also their most precious boy and of course, they spoiled him with whatever he desired no matter the cost.

But as Yoongi grew older he began to push away from his parents wanting to explore and experience things on his own. His father took his new shift in attitude as willful defiance against his and his mother wishes, thus they pulled the reins tighter, nearly suffocating him.

First by limiting his time with the kingdoms alchemist Gi, who was known far and wide for his crazy ideas and theories but a good friend to the prince. Second by hiring a well-established scholar to guide him how to utilize his spare time more efficiently and finally they assigned four brutish bodyguards to follow him wherever he went. Morning, noon and night. They even parked outside his room as he slept just in case he got the notion to pull a little mischief. Something he did quite often.

Soon he felt more like a prisoner than the crowned prince. He hated being treated like a child and began to resent his parents for their lack of trust in his judgment.

One night, after an exhausting dinner of constant nagging by his mother to chose a bride from the upcoming Blossom Festival. Yoongi decided to slip out of the palace and sneak down to the beach for a quiet walk in the moonlight. One of his favorite things. The ocean waters.

It wasn’t as difficult as he expected. Once he sprinkled the herbs Gi gave him into the soldier’s nightly rations, they almost instantly fell asleep. Genius. He must remember to thank, Gi later.

The raven haired prince side smirked as he lifted the dark hood over his head to veil his handsome features. Luckily night was on his side, plus not many villagers were out and about at this hour. They feared what may lie in the darkness.

Cautiously he made his way down the back steps, around the courtyard gardens, and out the rear entrance. It took little to no effort. Most of the wall centuries spent most of their time napping than patrolling anyway.

After he got far enough from the eyes in the watch towers he pulled back his hood and exhaled a sigh of relief. Peace. He didn't know when it happened, but his good loving parent had turned into unrelenting sentinels and no longer cared about his happiness. They only wanted one thing…him to find a wealthy bride and produce and heir. Did he have no other worth than that? He knew what his responsibilities were and he had the intelligence to rule the kingdom fairly as his father. now does. Why do they doubt him so much? It frustrated him to no end.

Yoongi frowned beginning his walk through the thick nest of trees to the sandy beach below. As he sauntered along the well-worn mixed gravel pathway, he picked a pale and silky bloom that had made its home at the edge.

He wanted to make them proud…if they would let him. Also this bride the bride nonsense…drove him absolutely mad. He would pick a wife when he found one not interested in power or coin. Two-faced vain puppets dressed in fancy dresses. Poisoned by their conniving parents to only think of power and position, they latch on to anything with a title. What about caring for the person you marry? Even Love? That frail and delicate emotion that in these times would vanish if you mention it aloud. Maybe he was just a dreamer, but he couldn’t be the only one…

Slowly he raised the flower to his nose and inhaled the light feathery fragrance. He smiled musingly. Why can’t all things in life be as simple as this blossom? After a few minutes of wandering, he came to the end and it opened up onto the soft, shell covered beach.

“ At last…” He whispered, gazing out at the dark waters rolling beneath the glowing moon and them crawl up and down the wet glossy terrain.”Peace”

Still holding onto the flower he traversed the thick lumpy peaks and ridges to the edge of the surf. The warm water rushed up, chasing the translucent ghost crabs as they foraged for food. Cute little things; about the size of a dinner biscuit. Not too smart though. The prince chuckled to himself and continued on his night adventure.

As time grew later, he took notice of a beautiful and mysterious blue glow just beneath the surface of the water. A veil of black lace and shimmery sapphires.

He halted, crouching over to examine the light closer. Gi had told him that it was tiny little animals searching for food that made that glow or something like that…no bigger than the head of a pin. Science revealed oddities as a natural function of nature. Others would disagree saying it was the magic of the sea fairies… such nonsense, although secretly he wanted to believe that there were supernatural beings out there. Sprites, mermaids, sirens..all tales to enchant children, but the stories had to come from a shred of fact.

Gently, Yoongi dipped his palm in the current, fanning his fingers out. The stars of the sea shone brighter from his touch. Back and forth he glided his hand in the frothy surf. So simple but it gave him so much joy. He wished things could be different.

That's when he heard it...

A faint song hidden within the crashing waves. At first, he wasn’t sure if he heard it until the singing came again. Louder. Where was it coming from? From what he could tell he was the only person who had visited in the last few hours. So who was the songstress?

Yoongi’s sharp and focused eyes searched for of the source in the darkness but saw nothing but random light and jiggly jellyfish paroling the deep. That voice...he must find her.

Then Bubbles, then ripples started to form a few feet out, just beyond the surf.

“Hmm?” He hummed concentrating on that particular spot.

More bubbles and the lapping waves curled and bowed like the fountain in the courtyard. He should be wary, it could be a shark or giant squid looking for its nightly meal...but he couldn’t move nor could he look away. The song, the somber and hauntingly beautiful song locked onto him and anchored to the sand. Good heavens.. was it a siren?

Abruptly, as to answer his question, the water funneled, winding and spinning like a liquid cone. sapphire and gold lights sparkled from withing, then fanned out, pulling the water into a new shape. A shell? Or a lush flower perhaps.

Narrowing his view, brought his eyes to clarity. In the center of the magical bloom was a figure. A thin and feminine silhouette. There's a person in there? How could they breathe?

The suddenly the singing stopped and the being was pushed forward from the spiraling cone, eventually, the waves lay back down with its brothers. Nothing remained of the spectacle but the figure standing on the sea, The seconds that passed felt like hours, even months. He just crouched there likes suspicious frog staring out at what had been. Had he lost his mind? Did his parents drug his drink at supper? So many questions pulsed through his mind like a whirling top. Then the creature moved, slowly stepping towards him. The closer it came the clearer the image became and to his surprise....it was a girl.

A young heavenly girl, no older than him, tall and slender in frame, wearing a shimmery mint dress to her knees. Her feet were bare, except for delicate thin wraps around her tiny ankles adorned with colorful shells and pearls.

Yoongi raised slowly to his feet, gawking, jaw unhinged and awestruck. His wide eyes followed her as she casually walked over to greet him. She was beautiful..and couldn't be real...

Her gaze watched him for a moment before she spoke.

“Are you…a mortal?” She asked in a sweet and soft voice. Her steel colored gems shining like stars in the pale glow of the moon. Was he seeing things?He didn’t have that much wine with dinner…

“Ye..ees. I am.”He said finally. Who would have thought that this world would have such a radiant creature? For real. “Truly?” She asked excitedly. The aqua haired nymph moved in on him fearlessly and cupped his face in her silky hands before he could protest. Her tiny thumbs gently gliding over his skin. He didn't know how to handle this situation. Woman of society never acted with such boldness. They always hid behind frilly words and demurely subtle movements. Not like this...not like her. He found the direct contact exciting and kind of refreshing. “I am…” He stuttered but didn’t push her away. “Who and what are you?” She giggled so pleasantly, musically; it gave him goosebumps. “ I am Tieyn.” Removing her palms from him. “ I am what is called in mortal tongue a water sprite?I come from below and will now begin my life’s journey ”
