That evening, the Carsons celebrated Elle’s birthday at the Gnomes Arms. As the baby of the family, it was a momentous occasion and Kate insisted on being the one to buy her sister her first drink.

The party gave their parents the perfect opportunity to catch up with the Scotts. The old friends spent the evening chatting about their summer plans and sharing pictures of their grandchildren. Marlena and Sara even discussed the possibility of creating a knitting club with some of the other women in town.

When Gemma arrived she kissed the birthday girl and gave her her gift, unable to contain her excitement any longer. She had gotten her a Digital sketch pad so she could work on her art from anywhere.

Elle was overjoyed, it was exactly what she needed. They had just graduated high school, but the demand for her paintings has been rapidly increasing. By the end of the summer, she thinks they will finally have enough to buy their first home.

Elle took over the stereo and started playing her favourite song, pulling Gemma onto the dancefloor with her. It didn't long for the whole party to join them, laughing and singing along.

By the time they finished, they were spent, and it seemed like the perfect time for Elle to blow out her candles. As the family gathered to watch, Marlena had to sniff back tears as she watched their youngest enter adulthood.

Elle is an Art Lover, and despite being the most mischievous of her siblings, she is responsible and has good manners. Thrilled to finally be free of the classroom, she can't wait to officially start her career as an artist and build a life of her own.
