Note — This is a a re-telling of some of the events in Endgame and SMFFH with an original female character that is also Tony Stark’s daughter.

Peter shouldn’t have come.

Every rational part of him had warned him against it and yet, no matter how many years had passed or how many people had been hurt, he still hadn’t learnt his lesson.

He was stupid. He was soft. He was weak.

But how could he have said no to Tony’s invitation? He had finally gained mobility again and his new arm was functioning as well as could be expected. It was the closest to normal he had been for two years, and he wasn’t going to cast a shadow on that happiness—not this time, anyway.

Pepper was the one to open the door, and she was evidently surprised to see him. He knew that, despite the average farm look, the house was probably better secured than the Pentagon and was harder to break in than any intelligence building in the world. He still had access to it, but he hadn’t wanted to use that privilege.

He didn’t think he deserved it.

“Peter?” the woman gasped.

“Hello, Miss Potts,” he replied quietly.

She embraced him in a motherly hug, and he had to gulp down the urge of crying.

It was even harder to keep up the façade with Tony, especially when he didn’t hide his tears at the sight of Peter. Seeing him after so long, living up to the legacy of being Iron Man now more than ever with his armour as part of him, made everything more real.

And yet, no matter how much time had passed, Peter would always see him as the father figure he’d desperately always needed and wanted. It was almost an instinct to let his guard down around him, because Peter still felt like the man could protect him. He felt safe with Tony.

Which was ridiculous. There was no such thing as safety, and no one could protect anyone.

(And yet, Peter was willing to try—it was the point of the whole thing.)

Peter knew she had arrived before FRIDAY announced her. It seemed that the body and senses didn’t differ much from the mind—they still remembered everything; from the rhythm of her footsteps, to the beating of her heart, to her sweet scent of cinnamon and vanilla.

It hit him harder than he thought it would, no matter how much he’d prepared himself for it.

The sight of her was worse.

Physically, she hadn’t changed at all and, in a way, that hurt him more. It was trickier to keep himself on his toes if she looked the same, because it was easy to imagine no time had passed, that all the suffering hadn’t happened, and that he still had a chance.

“Peter?” Sophia gasped when she noticed him, blinking several times as if she thought her eyes were deceiving her.

He couldn’t blame her, no matter how angry he wanted to be at the way her voice and accent still managed to send his heart racing. When their eyes met halfway, he realised how foolish he’d been, and how he’d overestimated himself.

Had he really thought he could be in the same room as her without feeling anything?

Idiot.

It took everything in him not to fall to his knees, rip his heart out and offer it to her in his bloody hands.

When Sophia approached him slowly, almost as if she was afraid he would vanish into thin air, Peter felt like he was dying. He really couldn’t predict what her reaction would be, and not for the first time, the idea of her screaming at him to leave and never set foot near her or her father again crossed his mind.

His nightmares began a lot like this.

But she didn’t do such a thing. Surprising him the way she had always done, Sophia smiled softly and reached out to place a hand on his shoulder, to squeeze it affectionately.

Peter could have burst into flames.

“I’m so glad to see you, Peter,” she whispered. “Welcome home.”

There was a ring on her finger; sparkly, with a diamond the size of a golf ball. And Peter heard it perfectly when Pepper asked Sophia about some Brad, even if they had been in another room.

He had been expecting something like that. Not the engagement, certainly, but he had expected her to be in a relationship.

He hadn’t expected it to feel like that.

Peter had never given his future a lot of thought. He had always known he’d wanted to go to MIT and work in science, but he had never thought that much ahead in other aspects of his life. Perhaps it came from his experiences, and the fact that his parents had been very young when they had died so, unconsciously, he had never seen the point of planning his life. What was the point of thinking that far ahead when everything was so unpredictable?

But it had been around a year ago when he’d been stopping a mug near a small chapel, and a couple of newly weds had come out looking radiantly happy. Peter usually didn’t pay attention to that, but, at first glance, the woman had reminded him physically of Sophia.

That same night, flashes of her in white assaulted his dreams, unlocking a desire he didn’t even know he’d had until then.

“Hey.”

Peter turned to look at Sophia, even if he had felt her coming. She was carrying a small plate with cake and a glass of white wine.

“Hey,” he replied, forcing himself not to stare for too long.

It was hard, too hard, because he hadn’t seen her in a year and she was lovely and he had missed her so much it was almost a physical ache.

“I brought you cake,” she told him, extending the plate to him.

“Thank you,” he replied quietly. “And wine?”

“Oh, no, the wine’s mine,” she grinned.

His heart skipped a bit. That cheeky grin had always been his undoing. He had to look away and distract himself with trying the cake, even if his stomach was a ball of nerves.

A silence fell upon them, and there was genuinely no sound around. The farm was isolated in a way that was both peaceful and nerve-wracking. Peter didn’t think he could take it and he couldn’t understand how Tony did.

“Very different from the penthouse in Manhattan, huh?” Sophia said knowingly, somehow reading his thoughts.

It didn’t surprise him. She’d always been able to do that.

“Very,” he admitted. “Do you visit often?”

Sophia nodded. “As much as I can, but it’s really not my scenery.”

Peter’s lips curved up without realising it. “No, it isn’t.”

“Dad’s getting tired of it too,” she commented, taking a sip of her wine. “So I think it’s only a matter of time he decides to move back to New York—or maybe somewhere in the middle, like LA.”

“LA?” Peter repeated, unable to hide his surprise. “I thought he never wanted to go back to LA after what happened with the Mandarin.”

“Well, it wouldn’t be the same location,” Sophia shrugged. “But New York’s too crowded. He’s always had more privacy in LA without sacrificing civilization like he’s done here.”

“Right,” he gulped down, trying not to show how the news was crushing him.

He didn’t like the idea of Tony going to live in LA—it was too far from New York. He already had a hard time with their current distance and it was only an hour away, even if he didn’t visit the farm much. It was the notion of it.

Sophia’s eyes were on him, clearly studying his reaction, but she didn’t say anything.

“He misses you, you know,” she told him after a while. “He would go back to New York right now if he knew you’d visit him there.”

He had to put down the cake. He felt like throwing up.

“It’s been—it’s been busy,” he said.

Sophia arched an eyebrow, evidently knowing that was bullshit because, no matter how busy the city could get, Peter would always make time to be with Tony before.

She opted not to address it directly; instead, she went for another kill:

“How’s May?” she asked. “Has she remembered you?”

Peter stiffened. “No.”

“She remembers Pepper and Happy,” she pointed out without mercy. “But I guess that’s because they actually go and visit her.”

She wasn’t intimidated by the glare she got from him. If anything, she grew bolder, because she crossed her arms and raised her eyebrows at him, daring him to contradict her.

The worst part was that he couldn’t, but he had never expected her to understand what he was doing.

“I think I should go,” he gritted out, without looking at her.

Sophia scoffed. “Should I give you my wedding invitation now? I wasn’t planning on handing them out until a few months but who knows when I’ll see you next?”

Peter winced. “Congratulations, by the way.”

She narrowed her eyes. “Will you even go?”

“Go where?”

“To my wedding.”

He stared at her. “Am I really invited?”

“Of course you are!” Sophia exclaimed angrily. “You might be capable of ignoring everyone who’s ever cared about you, but I’m not!”

“I don’t ignore them,” Peter snapped, unable to keep up the façade. “That’s not what I do. I will always be there for everyone if they need me.”

“Oh, really? Then where have you been these past two years?”

“I’ve been protecting you!”

“Protecting us?” she laughed bitterly. “Is that what you call staying away from everyone you love?”

“YES!” Peter exploded, glowering at her. “Yes, that’s exactly what I call it!”

Sophia shook her head. “That’s bullshit, Peter, and you know it.”

“I don’t expect you to understand it, Sophia,” he bit back. “But it’s the right thing to do.”

“The right thing to do? Is that what you tell yourself to quiet down the guilt?” she snorted. “Does it ever work?”

Peter scowled. “It works when I look at you and see you all safe.”

“And you think we’re safe because you’re staying away from us?” Sophia laughed incredulously. “I can’t believe someone as smart as you believes something so stupid.”

He reacted as if she’d punched him, but she didn’t cower. Sophia took two steps until she was on his face and gave him her worst scowl.

“We’re safe because we take care of ourselves. We’re safe because we take care of each other,” she hissed. “Not because Spider-Man’s enemies don’t consider us a target… get that stupid idea out of your head before you end up alone!”

“I’d rather end up alone than attend your funeral, Sophia!”

“I am Iron Man’s daughter!” she shrieked, shoving him angrily, even if it was useless; he didn’t move an inch. “I was a target before that spider even bit you!”

“And I won’t make you an even bigger one!”

Sophia rolled her eyes. “This isn’t even about me, Peter. I gave up on you a long time ago.”

That struck him harder than anything she’d ever said, and even breathing became a painful thing to do. He stilled and stared at her, his blood and bones becoming ice cold.

“I’m telling you this because you’re hurting people—my father, your aunt, Ned. When are you going to stop pushing them away?”

“My aunt almost died!” he cried out. “She almost died because of me!”

“It was an accident, Peter!”

“An accident I should have been able to stop!”

Sophia shook her head, and the disappointment was so palpable that it cut him open.

“It’s evident you’re determined to crucify yourself. I can’t help you if you won’t help yourself.”

She didn’t even look at him again before she went back inside the farm house, leaving Peter alone and in the cold.

Fandoms being shitty shouldn't be anything new to me, but what do you MEAN people were horrible to Morgan???? What fresh hell is this???

Honestly the best thing about being in a fandom for years is that you’ve seen everything so nothing should surprise you but also I’ve been in this fandom too long the horrors are relentless.

When Endgame came out, irondad as a whole was VIOLENTLY against it for a variety of reasons but one of the bigger ones was that Tony died and that Morgan existed as his “second chance”

There was some what I would consider legitimate critiques of Tony being given a “redemption arc” only to die— one I personally disagree with since endgame is such a narratively good ending for him but that’s just me— but MOST of it was tied into that it was Bad specifically because they “replaced” Peter with Morgan and that Morgan was a poor imitation of the “real thing”

This is speaking canonically, which shows the level of delulu since canonically irondad as a concept fundamentally doesn’t exist. To argue Morgan replaced Peter with how much he cared about him as his CHILD is to just be living in fantasy land.

The far more egregious (and misogynistic) slant was the DROVES of people who 1) demonized the little girl in fic 2) made her or Peter insufferably jealous of each other, with 90% of the time tony proving to Peter that he loves him more / differently (but more), and some of the worst though thankfully less common, 3) where Morgan died or was erased when Peter came back and “Tony’s true family was restored”

Never mind how fandom treated May Parker and Pepper during all of this, much less MJ who was commonly erased in the events of FFH despite the plot revolving around Peter’s crush on her

Irondad fandom is historically and categorically misogynistic and racist. “Not all irondad!” Sure but enough of irondad is. If any rebuttal to claims of hatred has to be given by a “not all—“ statement, especially by a white woman…….

Perhaps that tells us all something.

Comfortember 2022 One-Shots: Just what it sounds like. Short(ish) and sweet. Not connected, except by the event. (Also see the Comfortember 2023 collection!)

Emergency Contacts : Flash gets a hold of Peter's phone at a party, and can only access the emergency contacts. As a joke, in the heat of the moment, he texts a ransom message to the contact that says "Dad." He didn't expect a very angry Iron Man to show up minutes later.

Just Another FRIDAY (5+1): Peter's connection to Tony is public record if you know where to look. Peter still wants to stay at Midtown. To keep him safe, Tony simply installs FRIDAY in the school. Lots of busybody-ing, some helpfulness, a bit of hilarity, and a little saving-the-day ensue. Ned's POV.

Let Us Handle Them Carefully: Peter Parker lives with his parents in Manhattan, but spends as little time as possible at home. Ned and MJ have been a great support at he tries to navigate the after-effects of being bitten by an experimental spider from their lab, but he's trying to mostly figure that out on his own. His parent want him to apply for the Young Interns program at Stark Industries, even though they don't think much of Tony Stark. Post Age of Ultron, and there is unrest between the team and the governments, but Civil War is not a thing in this AU.

Visiting Hours : In a universe where he never invented time travel, and never brought anyone back, Tony Stark gets a late night visitor he never could have expected. Complete for now, but future chapters or “visits” could happen if I feel inspired.

Hi. I’ve been looking for this fic where it was post-endgame, where Tony did live. It take place during FFH: Tony tries to get Peter not go to on the Europe trip, yet can’t. During the trip, the whole FFH event happen, but it’s through Tony’s view by watching the TV news with Aunt May. In the end, he thinks Peter is dead, and he grieves, yet Peter is alive when he come by the cabin & Tony think it’s the alien disguised Fury and doesn’t believe it’s Peter for awhile.

It’s definitely not because Peter was dead for over five years, and Tony only just got him back nine months ago. And definitely not because Tony’s been avoiding calls from Fury about needing the kid for some damn SHIELD mission (over Tony’s bum arm will he let that ever happen). It’s definitely not because this will be the longest he’ll have gone without seeing Peter, all while said kid is thousands of miles away-- far out of Tony’s reach. What's the revolution fic?

omg an opportunity to ramble about something i've had in my drafts since 2019? absolutely yes thank you very much

okay, so the revolution fic (which has an actual title now - it's called the time is now) is an idea that i originally came up with, like i said, in 2019. i didn't start writing marvel fics until after endgame came out and i quickly fell in love with parkner pretty early on and au's were my saving grace from the heartbreak of losing tony (the amount of irondad fics i have read is ABSURD) and all of that cumulated into one of many fic ideas that i've had sitting in my drafts forever.

what the time is now is about is this: an alternate universe where, before what would have been the events of civil war, a more extreme version of the sokovia accords were created that criminalized anyone with enhancements. the term "enhancements" is very loosely defined in these documents, meaning that people with severely advanced intelligence can also be declared "enhanced"

the story focuses on peter's POV, though it will deviate into other perspectives later on in the fic, and it starts out in a containment facility specifically made for enhanced people under the age of 18. where we pick up in the fic is two years after the laws were put in place, and therefore two years after peter was put into this containment facility. his cellmates are miles and lunella (if you don't know who lunella is, look her up - she's a comic character and part of the avengers campus i believe, and she's like canonically one of the smartest people in existence, if not THE smartest person in existence, while being a literal child). the containment facilities are built to accommodate for 15 or so enhanced individuals, though the one peter is in only has eight - who are the following:

it will be explained throughout the fic how and why these are the characters that end up contained, though it is just happenstance that they ended up at the same facility. it's a bit complex considering the origin of billy and tommy and with america's abilities and all of that, but i promise it all gets explained in the fic. trust me. pls.

this will have parkner in it, and irondad, and billy/teddy, and platonic interwebs and platonic petermj and a lot of other dynamics that will make up a lot of heart but no specific dynamic will be the center point of the fic. though tbh parkner and irondad will probably end up getting a bit more focus than the rest just because they have my heart the most, but my point still stands. this isn't a parkner fic or an irondad fic - it's a fic that has parkner and irondad in it.

my original doc with this fic is about 20k words long, but i decided to rewrite it from the beginning with a more defined plot and to write the fic in full before starting to post it. my goal as of now is to have the full fic written by march so that i can start posting it on my birthday, aka march 15. i will for sure be sharing little lines and snippets here and there throughout the writing process as i am way too excited about this fic to not post about it occasionally.

here's part of the opening scene, actually, just because me talking about the fic is making me very excited about it

“Here,” Peter says, his voice soft. “Have mine.”

Lunella pauses, eyes flickering over to where Peter is holding out his granola bar. She looks up at him with a wide eyed uncertainty, pointing out, “You didn’t get any food this morning.”

Peter shrugs, unbothered. “I’m not hungry. Go ahead, Nel. You can have it.”

“But…” she trails off, looking away and around the barren cell that they’ve been locked in—Miles still isn’t back yet, and it makes them both nervous, setting them on edge in a way that they likely should be used to by now. Peter offers her a small smile and carefully places the granola bar in her hand. For a moment, she just eyes it, like she’s debating giving it back. She’s more than smart enough to know that it’s not true, Peter saying he isn’t hungry, but at the same time, this isn’t the first time Peter’s let himself be hungry for her. She knows better than to try and argue for something he won’t back down from. Instead, she just reaches her other hand up to open the bar with a barely there whisper of, “Thanks.”

“You don’t gotta thank me, Looney Tunes,” Peter tells her, poking a finger into her side to make her giggle. She does, but the sound is half strangled as it comes out, like it’s hard to let it out when her attention is so focused on something else. Peter’s smile—already forced in the first place—fades away. “Hey,” he says, taking on a more gentle tone as he bumps his shoulder lightly against hers. “He’s going to be fine, okay? Always is.”

Usually, they see each other in passing while at the labs, but this time, nothing. Lunella clearly knows this, too—no matter how much Peter tries to shield her from the hell that they’re in, she’s more than smart enough to connect the dots herself and observes way more than he’d like her to see. When she looks at him, there’s far too much knowledge and reluctant acceptance to the horrors of the world shadowed in her eyes. “But what if he isn’t?” she asks him, quiet and fear stricken and probably right. “Last time—”

“Last time,” Peter cuts in, reassuring himself as much as her, “he got better in just a day and a half. Even if he’s pretty hurt, he’ll still be okay, Nel.”

She licks her lips, clearly distressed. “But he was in so much pain,” she whispers.

He swallows back the lump forming quickly in his throat, know that her words are true, knowing that it only seems to be getting worse and worse with every week that passes by. It doesn’t matter that he’s been here for nearly two years now, doesn’t matter that he thinks he’s seen all he’ll ever see, their captors still never fail to surprise him with their intense cruelty, with all of their experiments and their abuse. He doesn’t like to lie, knows that Lunella wouldn’t believe him even if he tried, so he chokes back the bitter taste resting on his tongue and instead he promises, “Even when we’re hurt, we can always be okay again. We can always get better.”

The feeling of losing something (multiple times).

The day of Johnny Storm's death keeps repeating itself.

Basically, I wrote a spideytorch angst where Peter gets stuck in a time loop and repeats the day Johnny locks himself in the Negative Zone. Tries to save him multiple times and realizes that:

1. He is in love with Johnny.

2. He's the only one who wasn't aware of number 1. (and Johnny, by default.)

3. Johnny is (was) in love with him, too.

4. He cannot save him.

Featuring Irondad, even tho is sort of important, it doesn't become relevant until the end of the fic.

Peter Parker being in pain because I like my son to suffer.

Dr. Strange acting like a jerk, but then again no (the usual). Besides, come on, is a time thing he needs to be involved.

Tony making mistakes but don't worry, Peter forgives him.

No Civil War compliant and therefore no Infinity War, Endgame, etc. Basically, everyone is alive. And sometimes mentioned.

What if elements (if you squint).

Time loops clichés because we love those. (And by we I mean me, I love them.)

It doesn't cover the events of FF600, but it's implied they will happen. I've never read the comics, only about them (and a bunch of fics) and so I've mostly pulled everything from my sleeve. Even then, It mostly follows canon. (If you don't know what I'm talking about, rip. It'll make little sense and will only hurt, enjoy!).

This Spidey is Tom Holland, Johnny isn't Chris nor Michael, I leave it to your imagination. But I don't like Chris!Johnny and prefer Andrew!Spidey with Michael!Johnny, idk.

so i thought since im not really writing much lately, id put a big list of all my ideas with brief summaries and if you guys wanted to see any in particular i could try to write a small oneshot of it.

1. basically peter having a long conversating with tony about the struggles of having his enhancements and explaining how he cant even kill himself because of his healing (like the scene from avengers)

2. Endgame au- “Hey peter? Its Tony- We did it. We won, pete- we won. Please Peter” then when peter’s in a coma he listens to a voicemail left by him before he left for the field trip (saved on insta) at some point peter says “i just wanted to be like you”

3. V slow (almost) major character death- three quick gunshots and a thump- peter worrying about tony’s head wound.

4. peter and harley falling in love (3k words) in tumblr drafts for harley

5. tony breaking down in the middle of a fight

6. Stony soulmate au- sharing scars.

22. okay so what about a situation where tony and peter are at a press event and peter gets shot. just imagine what tony would be saying as he catches him and slowly lowers him to the floor.“it’s okay, i gotcha. holy shit- you’re gunna be okay, kid. come on, eyes on me-“ keeping on talking until the medics get there, still not leaving the kids limp form. Peters eyes never leave him, glazed over but never closing.Of course, when he wakes up later, Tony will be a little teary eyed sat by his bed, probably making a joke about “god kid, you’re not supposed to outlive your old man” Peter not wanting to be alone when he dies

Okay okay. Since you’re asking for ultimate favorites, but since you’re also in a sense kind of asking for recommendations, I’ll do you a solid and give you a list of fifteen (which is really doing myself a solid because it means there are fewer that I have to narrow down).

1. More Ancient Than Magic by @ironfamjam 

This is a mini Hogwarts AU that I absolutely ADORE and think about at least once a week. The way the author melds the two universes is incredible and so well done, and I quote it all the time.  One-shot, IronFam centric, featuring Ned and MJ, with special guest appearances from the other Avengers and Peter’s classmates. No major warnings. 

2. Everybody Loves Skip by @baloobird

Okay, Kris is my favorite MCU fanfic author of all time, so you’ll see her on here a couple of times. This is by far my favorite story of hers, and it’s what made me fall in love with Interwebs. <3 <3  Multichapter, Peter centric, featuring Ace!Peter and Interwebs, with special guest appearances from Tony, May, and Tracy Leeds. Minor sexual harassment/non-con, but it doesn’t get too graphic. 

3. Ohana by @jen27ny

I read this story as a part of last year’s Irondad Big Bang, and let me tell you, I was SOOO invested. I got to the point where I had to send in play by play reactions because I was so emotionally invested. The story is so well told. <3 Multichapter, Tony and Peter centric, featuring Pepperony, Spideychelle, and minor Stucky, with special guest appearances from the rest of the Avengers, HYDRA, and my fast beating heart. No major warnings. 

4. Come, My Darling, Homeward Bound by @i-am-irondad

ANOTHER Irondad Big Bang 2020 story that I became OVERLY invested in to the point that I had to send play by plays in to the author. It’s a Room AU, and she NAILS each and every one of the character dynamics. I never even saw Room, and I loved it. <3  Multichapter, Tony, Peter, and Morgan centric, featuring the rest of IronFam, Spideychelle, and adorable sibling moments, with special guest appearances from Quentin Beck and my tears. Minor implied sexual harassment/non-con. (She also has a prequel and a sequel, just so you know.) 

5. The Lightning Strike by @booksxtvxsupernatural

Yet ANOTHER Irondad Big Bang 2020 story that hit me right in the feels. This is a canon-divergent post-Infinity War fic, and the way the author shows how events could’ve transpired is so realistic and beautiful. <3  One-shot, Tony and Peter centric, featuring Harley Keener and Nebula, with special guest appearances from IronFam, May Parker, and several other Avengers. 

6. Family Doesn’t End with Blood by @baloobird

This is a series of one-shots by my girl Kris based off of the Irondad Bingo prompts, so there are a lot of different prompts and themes, but they ALL rock.  Multichapter, Tony and Peter centric, featuring Ace!Peter, IronFam, and Interwebs, with special guest appearances from several other MCU characters. Warnings vary, so pay attention to the tags and read the notes. 

7. I love you more than anything (bio dad AU) by @iron--spider

Okay, so maybe this is cheating, because it’s technically a series, but every fic in it is so good that I couldn’t possibly pick just one. I just love the whole series, because I love how the author builds their relationship. It’s so cute. <3  Series of one shots, Tony and Peter centric, featuring the rest of the Stark and Parker family and baby Peter, with special guest appearances from Obadiah Stane, James Rhodes, and Happy Hogan. No major warnings.

8. sometimes, people just die (and sometimes, they don’t) by @snarky-drabbles

This one was for the 2019 Irondad Secret Santa (huh. No wonder so many of them are Tony and Peter centric. XD), and it’s an amazing time loop story that takes place during Endgame and has an ending you might not expect, but it ROCKS.  One-shot, Tony and Peter centric from Peter’s POV, featuring Pepper Potts and Stephen Strange, with special guest appearances from a whole lot of fighting. XD 

9. A Rite of Passage by @baloobird

Another ADORABLE Interwebs from my favorite person, because she made me obsessed with this ship and now I can’t stop. XD  One-shot, Interwebs centric (wait, did I actually find one that isn’t Tony and Peter??), featuring Ace!Peter and Bi!Ned, with special guest appearances from Brad Davis, Flash Thompson, and Betty Brant. Minor sexual harassment/non-con, but nothing graphic at all. 

10. Where Dreams are Nightmares in Disguise by @baloobird

This one was actually written for me, by Kris, so obviously, it made this list. I seriously cannot thank her enough for writing this amazing fic for me based on my prompt, and for writing it so well! I LOVED IT! <3  One-shot, Tony, Peter, and Morgan centric, featuring Pepper Potts and lots of LEGOS, with a special guest appearance from a really bad dude. No major warnings. 

11. harm and foul by @iron--spider

You know, there’s a lot of Tony protecting Peter out there, but sometimes, I just really wanna see Peter protecting Tony, and this is a GREAT example of that.  One-shot, Tony and Peter centric, featuring IronFam, Ned Leeds, and bada** mofo Peter Parker, with special guest appearances from Justin Hammer and a few Avengers. No major warnings.

12. Sugar, Butter, Flour by @doctornineandthreequarters

Another one written for me, this time by the incredible Jaime for the 2019 Irondad Secret Santa, and I couldn’t have asked for anything better. She took my prompts to heart and created some BEAUTIFUL sibling bonding and I LOVE it!! <3 <3  One-shot, Peter, Harley, and Morgan centric (whoa. Another one without Tony. See? So, I started reading her works solely through Tumblr, and when I finally realized that she had an AO3, I went on there and bookmarked a TON of her stories immediately. This is one of her more recent ones, but it’s one of my faves, even with all the whump (being Whumptober and all). It has a positive ending, I promise.  One-shot, Tony and Peter centric, featuring amazing BFF Michelle Jones, protective Peter Parker, and adorable little sister Morgan Stark, with special guest appearances from Pepper Potts, May Parker, and a lot of family love and support. Rape/non-con, but it isn’t super graphic. 

15. Peaches by @peterparkrr

This was yet another Irondad Secret Santa 2019 fic, and while this one wasn’t written specifically for me, I freaking loved it. There’s so much tension and mystery in this, and I seriously thought I was gonna pass out reading it from all of my worry. But, luckily, it has a happy ending.  One-shot, Tony and Peter centric, featuring canon divergence and lots of references to other Avengers, with a special guest appearance from a terrible government. No major warnings.

This was posted directly to Tumblr, but I have it saved in screenshots on my phone and I re-blog it all the time because I absolutely ADORE it. I will always be down for Peter and Morgan fics, especially when Tony is involved, and this one touches my heart like no other.  One-shot, Tony, Peter, and Morgan centric, featuring protective big bro Peter Parker and Tony being an amazing parent, with special guest appearances from equally awesome Pepper Potts and May Parker. No major warnings. 

2. He’s My Intern? by losingmymindtonight (if they have a Tumblr, I don’t know it, so if anyone knows it, please find them and tell them they’re awesome)

This one was posted on FF.net, and it was actually one of the first Tony and Peter stories I ever read, and it BLEW me away. This one is another series of one-shots, but each one is filled with soft Tony and Peter moments and I love it.  Multichapter, Tony and Peter centric, featuring Happy Hogan, Bruce Banner, F.R.I.D.A.Y., and all the hurt/comfort you could possibly want, with special guest appearances from Pepper Potts, May Parker, Ned Leeds, and several other Avengers. This is for those of us who miss the days before Endgame stomped all over our hopes and dreams and things have never been the same again.  If you have any fics to add PLEASE DO because not many stories feature the good old platonic father/son sorta relationship anymore (no Starker please).

Also I try to avoid a certain trope that has now, horribly, become canon but there are some really great stories below that include it so I’ll just blanket state to heed the tags.

Meanwhile, in Queens, Peter Parker has two main priorities on his plate — complete his midterm finals, and track down a fishbowl wearing criminal that may or may not lead him right into the hands of the Avengers. Somehow between all of this, Spider-man's identity is revealed to the Avengers, Steve and Tony's friendship may permanently be damaged due to continued hidden secrets, and Happy struggles to buy a youth-sized casket for Peter's funeral. Things were a lot easier when they were fighting over Bucky Barnes. (Or: The Avengers welcome Peter into their crazy superhero family and will do anything to protect him.) Cause and Effect by Pokeydotes:  There was a gas attack in Midtown. It was scary, but everyone was fine. No big deal, nothing to worry about. At least not until Peter started losing track of reality. Or the one where Peter just wants things to be normal, but he's pretty sure he's losing his mind. And trying to help him is going to cause Tony to lose his.

The Primary Reason Tony Stark Would Throw Down With an Anti-Vaxxer in the Street by caraminha: Prompt from my Tumblr: Have you heard of tetanus? I’m studying it for school and it’s got lots of angst potential - it causes severe, seizure like muscle spasms which can break the patient’s bones, but they’re conscious and fully aware of what’s happening. It also causes fever and lockjaw, and difficulty breathing. I’d love to see an angst fic where Peter has bad tetanus and Tony and co are looking after him whilst his symptoms get worse and worse.

Being Alive (is different than living) by silentsaebyeok: The lines between life and death become blurred for Peter Parker and his family and friends when Thanos snaps his fingers. But living again when you were once dead? Well, that's the hardest part. Peter finds that surviving and living are two very different things. It's a cruel and unfortunate thing to discover. This series is a fix-it and not compliant with Avengers: Endgame at all.

Tony's world has been tipped on it's axis and it's all he can do to stay sane by keeping himself busy with aiding in the cleanup. Which means it would be completely irresponsible to take in a little boy that he helped save when they can't locate his parents. He has no experience, no claim to him, and he's absolutely balls deep in the PR nightmare that is the newly formed Avengers. Not to mention, he can't stop having nightmares about alien invasions. So it would absolutely, positively, unquestionably a bad idea to take in a little kid... right?

Then just as suddenly he's not shaking him, because Quill is prying his hands back from the kid protectively, and Strange's palm is pushing Tony's shoulder to put some distance between him and the boy. Everyone knows Peter is a special case, for him. A special mission set aside to complete. He promised May. He promised Peter. He held him while he disintegrated. He washed him down a sink and apologized in multitudes. Someone seethes, "What do you mean, he didn't come back? What do you mean?" and he recognizes it belatedly as his own voice.*******Everyone comes back, when the snap is undone. Or, well — almost everyone.
