Here’s the thing- I feel like everyone realized how out of character Steve was by his ending in endgame but I gotta admit- even the first scene with him “visiting” Natasha already sent warning bells as I sat there bc EndgameSteve really left her to run this by herself??

right no I 100% agree with you. because while his ending was the precipice of how OOC he was, the entire movie was leading up to it.

like when he visited natasha (who'd he left to run the avengers by herself during an apocalypse), she asked him if he was there to do his laundry..... and then says "if I move on, who does this?" and steve replies "maybe it doesn't need to be done". which is INSANE bc in what world would he tell her that protecting/taking care of people doesn't need to be done?

I have been scrolling through your blog all morning and for the first time I don't feel alone. because I absolutely loathed endgame and endgameSteve but everyone I knew just wanted to say "his first love was peggy, understandable". I'm not a big social media person so I had no idea there were other people who shared the sentiment. but, thank you for writing things that make much more sense than whatever mcu was/is trying to do. Thank you! I realize I maybe vent about Endgame too much but it was such a disaster of a movie for a franchise that had been fairly great to their characters before hand: they did everybody wrong, but especially Steve. It always feels validating to have others see it too!

The whole "Peggy is the love of his life" does not fit with Steve's character outside of EndgameSteve. They USED her to wrap his ending and arc.

Listen, I know I've beat my endgame opinions into the ground at this point BUT hear me out, I had another idea for an ending. OK so like...what if when Steve was taking the Infinity Stones back and he met with Red Skull he bargained with him to give his life to bring back Nat. Not only would this have been a much more noble way for Steve to leave the MCU (fuck selfish engame Steve) BUT ALSO we could have maybe seen a bit of Nat in the new Falcon and Winter Soldier series because I LOVE Nat and Bucky together and I would have killed to see more or at least some of that... LIKE come on yes.
