Howard Stark had two genius sons: Gregory Stark and Antonio Stark. Maria divorces Howard. Court gives permission to choose the parents they want to stay with. Howard threatens to disinherit the one who chooses Maria. Tony chooses Maria and they leave their home.
Years later Tony becomes an entrepreneur and opens his own company for AI and electronics. He is a self made billionaire. Gregory Stark makes weapons for Stark Industries and later becomes Iron Man and joins the Avengers.
Doombots wreak havoc in the city and Avengers need someone to bring Doom down. They contact Tony.
I really like the idea of a guilt free, happy tony stark. Also Gregory is not very generous or free spirited as Tony. Though no bashing.
