SO- I’ve always been fascinated by ‘apocalypse logs’ and environmental storytelling, particularly in survival or post-apoc games where you find letters and messages from those who came before you, and get to know them/see a glimpse of their world and life through what they’ve left behind.

I’ve been mulling over the idea of experimenting and doing something similar w/ Hector for a while, and I finally finished up this first set! I’d like to continue uploading panel by panel (because I’m impatient to post/want to take it slow, but also b/c I think it’ll add to the effect if it unravels over time? maybe?) and then compile them in a long strip at the end.

Not sure when the next ‘update’ will be, this is v casual, but stay tuned. 👀

She's so absorbed in flipping through a novel that had interested her, trying to figure out if she's read it before, that Seifer's presence completely slips her notice, until his hands are on her.

His touch is not innocent, and startles her enough that she buries her face in the pages to try not to shriek aloud, hoping that the muffled gasp doesn't draw any attention

Selphie shuts the book and slides it back into place, subtly glancing at the surrounding shelves before she turns shoot Seifer a look, making sure there's no one in direct earshot that might have noticed her reaction. Thankfully, no eyes have turned their way, but she lowers her voice anyway.

"You know I can't be quiet when you do things like that to me," she hisses, her tone more playful and daring now that her hands are free to curl into his shirt and tug him closer, her gaze almost daring him to do it again. "Or are you feeling frisky enough that you want to risk making me moan in the middle of a library?"

Paperwork was the bane of her existence, and surely it bothered Laguna, too. Impatient enough to wonder what he was doing after a solid hour without hearing from him, Selphie had wandered out to see where he was, eventually finding the light seeping out from his office and peering through a small crack in the door.

She can't see exactly what he's working on, but the exhaustion (and maybe even frustration) is evident enough on his face that she thinks it might be worthwhile to give him something else to focus on for even a little while. Or, a solid reason to push the rest of the stack of papers off to the side until tomorrow; surely it wasn't important enough to lose too much sleep?

She lets herself into his office wearing little else than one of his button down shirts, sleeves rolled up so she can actually use her hands, and saunters over to his desk with a warm smile being the only greeting she gives him once he looks up and notices her.

Speaking is clearly not the first thing on her mind, not when she gently pushes him back into his chair so there's enough room to settle herself onto his lap. Her arms wind loosely around his neck and her lips first find his throat, tracing a path up to his jawline, his cheeks, and to his mouth to kiss him properly, lingering long enough that she hopes he knows exactly what she's after.

"Not gonna stay up all night, are you?" She asks once she pulls back, just enough to look at him through her lashes to make sure he's okay with being interrupted.
