THIS IS ALWAYS SUCH A HARD QUESTION!!! Okiee, I'm going to pick five of my favs and attempt to limit myself to one fav per person, which again, is really hard, cuz I repeatedly go back to them and reread ALL their stuff.

Silver & Gold by @sagemcmae - I just... I will never be able to convey in words how much I love this fic. I can't even tell you how many times I've read it cuz it's a LOT! It's SOOO amazing and Sage's writing is SOOO good and the character portrayal is amazing! It checks off every box for what makes a good fic and if you're a SessKag fan and haven't read this one, READ IT NOW! Along with everything else she's written.

The Arrangement by @mrfeenysmustache - Another fic I've read a million times. Smut ✅, pining ✅, idiots in love ✅, angst with a happy ending ✅. ALL THESE AND MORE! Y'all KNOW I'm all about the fluff, but I literally cannot get enough of her angst with a happy ending fics and Feeny is the MASTER. Another SessKag masterpiece.

And She was Golden by @justalonelywriter - the amount of screaming I do in each review is ridiculous and I'm surprised she hasn't gone deaf yet. Dramione done to perfection! I mean, I'm a complete sucker for secret pining, but Draco's inner monologue, especially with all his inner demons, is SPECTACULAR! I'm pretty sure I have to sit back and just process the magnificence at the end of each chapter before I actually start screaming cuz it's THAT GOOD!

Discarded Wings by @neutronstarship/@neutronstarchild and @elevenharbor - Another author that I could name a ton of amazing fics with, but this one was EXCEPTIONALLY good. The premise is fantastic and just when you THINK you know what's going to happen next, she turns it around and gives you something even better. Another highly recommended SessKag AU and the art that goes with it is freaking STUNNING! I could stare at it for DAYS.

Okiee, I'm forcing myself to stop. Again, I could go on for days about my favourite authors AND fics, and these authors have multiple favs of mine, and y'all know how I love to gush. Please never stop writing! I'm always on the edge of my seat any time I get an update notification from you!

My Author Recommendations

Here is a list of my favourite authors who have managed to capture my heart and soul, and deprived me of sleep. They have given me shit-eating grins and reduced me into a snotty-faced crying mess.

Rules

Author must have written more than one work.

I must love more than one work.

I must have re-read their work more than three times and can pinpoint and clarify why I love the author immediately.

I must love their writing style and will not skip ahead or cringe.

I must be able to dissect and write a thesis on their work.

I must have lost sleep from their work

The work must be memorable to me and have a lasting effort on me.

Did anyone else read two Neil gaiman books back to back years at school for novel studies? Cause we read the graveyard book as our main novel study for grade 6 and then coraline for our grade 7 year. It was 2 teachers from different schools who had never met. I love them for introducing me to Neil’s works as I love his writing and stories but I find it funny how we did both those books back to back years.

He’s been steadily becoming a special interest of mine over the past few years

S: Any fandom tropes you can't resist?

So, so many. I love the tropes, what can I say? I think soulmate AUs are a new favourite - I especially love when people flip them all around, circumvent the rules, create their own universes, etc.

U: Share three of your favourite fic writers and why you like them so much.

Going to stick with Call of Duty writers for the time being, because I have so many authors that I enjoy reading their fics and follow.

Katar's ability to reach through the screen, grab your heart and wrench it, is astounding. They are able to wrap so much angst and suffering into one or two sentences, and that is a talent.

Lisbet is at the other end of the spectrum, where her ability to describe the setting, the environment, the people, makes you feel like you are right in her fics, and I love that. Combined with AUs, which I'm a huge fan.

@samithemunchkin

An author who I've just started reading fics from, as I don't actually know anything about Advanced Warfare and with a handful of fics, convinced me to ship Mitchell/Gideon as well. This author writes intimacy so well, and I'm not just talking the smut (although that is also amazing).

I would like to recommend a wonderful, unique, yummy dark WIP by Lomonaaeren "Used to the Silence". Harry is a bullied Slytherin, with no friends. He is bitter and obliviously powerful. Theo discoveres Harry and does everything to break through his wards.

Intro:

"After being Sorted into Slytherin, Harry had to deal with shunning from his Housemates, disappointed looks from professors, and avoidance from other Houses. He’s used to being alone, and is mainly studying hard for his NEWTS so that he can find a job in some country other than Britain. Theo Nott changes that in seventh year."
