So my mum apparently thought Nova Scotia was spelled as northern scosha (I guess she thought nova was just northern with a Canadian accent???) and I was gonna do a bit like
‘hur dur what’s it like living in northern scosha? Any border skirmish’s with southern scosha recently?’
But like…those aint bad name for fantasy countries and like I do be writing the fantasy a lot…

I wasn't planning on digitizing this but boredom got the better of me and the only thing I do moderately well is drawing. Ah yes, I have the headcanon that Vonel has a cat, but the animal doesn't even live with him
And Drixphobia doesn't have a countryhuman version... for now, but maybe it will in the future when I find a good concept that fits the lore

Feeling like I should make a side blog for my fictional country along with the messed up 10000+ years of history they messed up 'cause why not and has the ability to time travel and use magic so easily that they have laws and special policing organisations for that, even though the country is just in one of my active WIPs (excluding the dozen that is linked but yet to be started on)

Welcome to Shylroakria!
So, this is the blog for the Kingdom of Shylroakria, an island nation off the coast of Portugal, Spain and Morocco that has existed since 3200 BCE. With over 5200 years of history, the Kingdom has navigated its way through some of the most interesting, incredible and intolerable periods of the world, all of which you can ask about!
I have got a lot of information written down, and I will transfer it to this blog every so often, but you can also put in asks about historical events, Shylroakrian culture or its interactions with other countries.
(And yes, there is a railway network to ask about too: the KSSR; Kingdom of Shylroakria State Railway)

"for the lady and country! men are born to fight!"
just to share a little concept art about the Queendom of Roseland. showing a small hint of the buildings, their militant soldiers and the flag of Roseland itself. (Keep in mind these are concepts so some of the things you see here could change in the future.)
for inspirations.
The uniform of the Roselandic militant is based on the uniforms used in the 1642 to 1651 English civil war. [Example]
the flag of Roseland is based on the flag of Amsterdam (because it looks cool. and because Roseland will also have some inspirations from other North Germanic and Scandinavian cultures as well. especially in different regions of Roseland. probably explain more in the future.)

Just To Make Something Clear...
The entire point of Yuang in Avaloria is to make a point about sexism by turning it on its head. There are more traditional examples of sexism, but the old "satirize the thing by reversing it" is a favorite trope of mine... and a logical extension of making the elves matriarchal.

Fighting the Good Fight
got the idea for this while listening to a book called Whisper by Tal Bauer and watching an episode of True Life that show is fvcking bonkers.
"Hey. I'm home."
The pitter-patter of feet gradually became louder as the five-year-old ran to hug Y/N. Y/N crouched down and embraced the kid in his pajamas, a taller man following behind, fussing in Parsik about how the kid was almost asleep, and now he has to put him down again.
"I'm sorry. I miss you guys. Hey kiddo, the faster you fall asleep, the more time we have tomorrow. So can you go to sleep for your Baba, and tomorrow we can go to the park and get ice cream."
"O-tay." The kid follows the man back into the bedroom.
Y/N walks into the kitchen to warm up food. After eating and taking a shower, Y/N gets in bed; moments later, the man climbs in bed behind Y/N, becoming the big spoon. His arms smoothly grabbed Y/N's waist.
"I know those hands. Those are the "I'm nervous about something" hands, and the last time I felt them was when you told me about the kid. So what's going on, Raqqa?"
The arms grew tighter, trapping Y/N by the waist as small kisses hit Y/N's neck.
"Oh, this is serious."
"Yeah, we'll talk about it later. Rest tonight, my love."
The next day after going to the zoo and a hike through the park Raqqa and Y/N found themselves seated on a weathered wooden bench watching the kid on the playground as the sun dipped below the horizon casting long shadows across the park.
Raqqa exhales, cracking his knuckles and crossing his arms. "I've been watching the war in Ishtar. The rebels need help. They are outgunned and outmanned; if they don't change the tide soon, they could lose the country to dictatorship."
"So what, we're rounding up the troops for support?"
"I volunteered my efforts."
Y/N turned to face Raqqa, but Raqqa kept his eyes trained on the playground before them. "Volunteered efforts? As in "Uncle Sam wants you" or-"
"There will be others. But as far as the government is concerned, no."
Y/N trembled out a breath as he attempted to speak. "So… what does that mean?"
"I'm leaving for Ishtar in two weeks."
A tear fell from Raqqa's eye as he clenched his lips together. Y/N settled a hand on Raqqa's leg, calming him enough to open his mouth again. "You know where the key is for the emergency safe; everything you need is there. You're on the pick-up and emergency list for school; you know the schedule, our routines…"
"Raqqa-"
Out of nervousness, Raqqa begins speaking in Parsik, not noticing the switch. Y/N listens to him ramble until Raqqa turns to Y/N. Raqqa takes Y/N's hands in his. "Sorry."
"Don't apologize, but if you're this nervous about it, maybe you shouldn't go."
Raqqa's gaze dropped to the ground, his eyes flickering with a blend of sorrow and determination. "I know, Y/N. But it is my duty to my homeland, and I can't turn my back on it."
A knot formed in Y/N's stomach, and his voice choked with emotion. "I can't bear the thought of losing you, Raqqa… and telling your kid that Baba isn't coming home. It hurts thinking about it. You have something special here. Why leave it? Is it me? Am I pushing you away? Am I not doing enough? That's why you didn't want me over all week, right?"
Raqqa's fingers reached out, gently brushing against Y/N's face. "Ya omri. You are perfect in every way. I was- am scared to tell you all of this. But seeing you today gave me all the confidence I needed to know that you're the one I want to be here when I return."
Tears welled up in Y/N's eyes. "I'm proud of you, Raqqa, but that doesn't make it any easier. Having to worry about every phone call, every knock at the door. It terrifies me."
Raqqa's grip tightened on Y/N's face, his voice quivering with love and pain. "I'll do everything I can to return to you. You and the kid are the reason I fight, a light guiding me through the darkest of nights." Raqqa releases Y/N and digs in his pocket. He pulls out a gold link chain with his dog tags and a Chrome ring with Yellow Gold Inlay, putting it around Y/N's neck.
"I know we talked about not buying engagement rings; that's what the chain is for, but just in case I don't come back-"Raqqa couldn't finish his sentence.
"I do." Y/N said, knowing it could be his only chance to say those two words to the man he truly loved.
"Promise me you'll be as strong as the man I fell in love with and believe in us, in our love, even while I'm far away."
Y/N nodded, tears streaming down his face. "I'll hold onto that promise, Raqqa. I'll be here, waiting for you, praying for your safe return. Just promise me you'll take care of yourself and come back to us."
In the heated moment, Raqqa connected their lips, grabbing the back of Y/N's neck. Their embrace was a mixture of desperation and tenderness. After the initial shock, Y/N deepened the kiss until both were out of breath. It was their first kiss. They clung to one another and found comfort in their newfound intimacy, praying that no matter the future, hoping that their love would be enough to withstand the trials ahead.

Shame, Shame, Shame, The Scourge of a Perfect Nation. (To Rid of It With Poison.) TW IN TAGS.
Tumblr media
The new democracy of Okos II saw Marlin as more of a nuisance. An annoyance and remnant of the old era of Partition. Marlin was regarded as no longer useful to their cause, a former relic of the past representing violence.
His angelic face, was now a deep mar upon the nation's pride. He was once referred to as the most "beautiful man" in the world, a mastermind of propaganda and media image. Presently, the man was only a shell reduced to a precautionary tale, a warning of what the Okosian rulers were willing to do to its people in order to survive. Saint Marlin had been an offering on a silver platter, to the avaricious, lecherous pig-men of the Chiendra bourgeoisie. His personhood, identity, and self, all stripped away and violated for a decade's worth of faux peace.
He represented rebellion to the new era, the question of who, and what, and why, questions that were destabilising and unpatriotic. His original use was to uplift the nation, to keep it together by moralising and rallying for The Cause but now? He only became the face of the question "What is a nation?" and "What is the purpose of a distrustful government?". And for that unintentional consequence, the nation punished Marlin by deeming the him a lusting whore who sold out his country, an ultimate traitor whom is to be blamed for all the faults of the nation. Yet again, the Saint's final use was a smeared smokescreen to cowardly appease, this time to allies instead of enemies, carried out by a guilty government, who's finger's always pointed at all but themselves.
But shame, shame, shame, it rings out like a deafening church bell through the nation haunting it, lingering like the miasmic radiation of Yavrillia. It remains in the forsaken places in the South where fear and hunger mutates, blooming into a horrific amalgamation of human suffering. The legacy of humiliation lives on in the existence of Saint Marlin, a tortured martyr who's eternal damnation came down to the fact that his body was simply one that used to be a woman.
(And so Abraham handed his son to a merciless God with little hesitance to obey, to worship a thing, an entity who sought out more destruction and devastation than any human, than any nation alive. -Tzipora Hórvath, on the Diary and Life of My Brother, Marlin Hórvath.)

Heyyy, I read your books before and I'd like to know about your creation: Arimight
Arimight. A fictional country in my Prince Series fanfiction – Princess Arimight Collection
Confession: It was created so the author wouldn't have to go through in real life history. Only to realise soon after that the author has to do more researches in order to MAKE the country !!
cons: too much works pros: I get to play goddess !
so, um, it's already kinda iconic now on Wattpad. So I don't think my readers will be happy if I erase Arimight and take Poland or Iceland 😂 OK, I don't want to bore you with the economic and politics. We're probably all bored from the real ones on TV. And so have this headcanons of a fictional Wattpad country 😃😃:
The King has two Queen Consorts. This is a love triangle gone right. They all love eachother and have adopted 6 beautiful princes and princesses. They also have a biological angelic daughter!
There is an old belief that purple is the colour of royalty, golden is the colour of divinity and blue is the colour of rarity and luck. This is only what the older generations said, the younger ones who are tech savvy would joke about their seriousness.
Imagine the Caspian Sea on your Google map image. Then, imagine two lands there. That's Arimight. And now picture a river flowing through Arimight like the Amazon River.
We know many countries actually want Caspian Sea to themselves. Why? The Sea has mineral resources, including oil and natural gas reserves. Your country would be really rich if you have this!!
So now in this fictional world, Arimight produces lots of oils yay! So, very rich baby.
Leaders and influential people would want their children/nephews/nieces to be engaged with the royal children of the King. These people want connection to big money.
Moving on from the economical aspect, the people of Arimight vary from friendliness and cold "you're on your own" personas. It all depends on the seasons in the country. When it's closer to the festivities, the locals tend to be more cheerful. But if it's "Spot Check Day" , they will be more restrained because the police will come to your hometown. They might raid your home, and you can't stop them. It doesn't matter if you're a foreigner or a child. They can, and will, take apart your most treasured items if they catch anything sus.
This is mostly because of the terrorism event taken about 20 years ago. The issue was the high taxes Arimight people have to pay because of the old king.
When the new King, who's now reigning, ascended. He demolished certain laws and made new ones to promote inclusivity and diversity... which was disliked by the traditional members of Arimight.
Now the new king wouldn't be getting any younger any time.soon. he would be reaching 60 in a few more years. Life can be unpredictable. So he has to choose his heir soon.
There are 7 Heirs. And although he had chosen his Crown Prince Roel to ascend when his time comes, there was still doubt lingering the king's mind. Especially since the crown prince had been contacting with the tradition extremist – the king's aunt – who is well-known for loathing foreigners.
As long the king is still breathing, he can still reconsider his choice of heir. But it was certain that the crown prince was most popular, and many of his heirs were reluctant to rule. Not when their royal generation produces too much dark powers all across the globe. Not when the crown prince gaslighted his own siblings, while putting on the perfect Prince Charming show.
The future of Arimight is ever-changing. No wonder 3% of them migrated to safer grounds.
