You huffed with relief and exhaustion as you exited the potions classroom and made your way through the dungeons to the Gryffindor Common Room.
Detention with Snape was the most agonizing experience you'd ever had. You've spent the last two and a half hours cleaning cauldrons just because you hadn’t turned in your essay on time, and it didn’t help that the greasy-haired professor had it in for you.
You weren't sure what was the cause of this animosity. You were a straight A student, always acing your exams and were proud to say you’re very good at potions. However, Snape always seems to have something against you. Also, you supposed it didn't help that Fred and George Weasley were your best friends. At every opportunity the twins would try to prank or annoy the teacher, seemingly without remorse and understanding of the consequences of their actions.
‘He must enjoy sucking the life out of his students.’
“Hi there, love,” Fred's cheerful voice greeted you as you entered the common room through the portrait hole. He was sitting on the wide sofa, with George next to him. You spotted Angelina in one of the love-arm seats and Lee on the floor near George's knees, even though there was another vacant love-arm seat in the room.
When he noticed your long face, the older twin reached out his arms and drew you into his lap.
“How was detention?” George asked.
“Awful,” you mumbled against Fred's chest. He caressed your back while his other hand played with your fingers absentmindedly. “I hate Snape.”
Lee guffawed, "I don't think anyone in their right mind likes Snape."
“Greasy prick had me scrubbing his filthy cauldrons for two and a half hours.”
“Oh! How dare he,” Fred mocked dramatically, causing a small smile to break out on your face. “Do you want Georgie and I to prank him?”
You lifted your face to connect your gaze with his, “Would you?”
“Anything for you, snookums.”
At his honest response, you squeezed his waist and buried yourself further into his chest.
“Perhaps you could try not to get into trouble next time,” Angelina, who had been quiet until now, advised.
This made your brow furrow, “I only gave him the essay two days late, and it was because I was bedridden, as you know.”
“Yeah, Angie,” George came to your defense, “Snape only gave her detention 'cause he has a grudge against us.”
Your eyes grew heavy, and the muscles in your face relaxed, releasing the strain of the day. Your limbs became limp, heartbeat growing tranquil. Your breathing slowed as you felt the steady rise and fall of Fred’s chest.
“Are you gonna fall asleep on me?” Fred teased.
You hummed, “I might. You are quite comfortable.”
With a smirk on his face, Fred accepted the remark, “That I’ve been told before.”
George rolled his eyes at the silly—but typical— interaction between you two. Like the rest of your friends, he had grown accustomed to your flirting and displays of public affection, which you swore wasn’t hiding anything romantic.
“Carry me to bed?” You didn’t have to ask him twice. Fred tightened his grip on you, and with you safe in his arms made his way up to the girls’ dorm without complaint.
“Are we sure they’re just friends?” Lee inquired, intrigued.
“That’s what they say,” Angelina said in response.

“Fred!” You whispered-yelled, trying to wake your friend up without disturbing the other three blissfully sleeping on their mattresses. “Fred!” You tried again, this time lightly shaking his arm.
“Y/N/N?” His speech was sluggish, and his eyes were barely open, still half-asleep. The redhead looked down at his nightstand; the clock there marking 2:30 in the morning. “What happened?”
“I had a nightmare.”
Fred detected something peculiar in your small voice, and somehow knew you had been crying. He lifted the covers off his bed, inviting you to get in. He drew you close, your head resting on his chest as he wrapped his arms around your waist. You let out a breath you hadn't realized you'd been holding once you were in the safety of his arms. You gripped him in fear that he would vanish, and you were pleading with him to stay with you.
Fred noticed your distress and asked, “What happened, love?”
“I had a nightmare,” tears filled in your eyes as you recounted the images that had woken you up in the dead of the night. “You– You died, Freddie,” you wept, out of breath. Fred tightened his grip on you. “It was awful.”
“It was just a dream,” he tried to soothe you, running his hand through your hair.
“There was a war, and you were there, and there was this wall… it crumbled, and the rubble—” you couldn’t finish telling him as your words broke into sobs. Hot tears streamed down your face, and you squeezed your eyelids shut in the hope the tears would stop.
“Shhh. I’m here, love. I’m fine.”
“I don’t want to lose you, Freddie.”
“Who said anything about losing me?” He tried to lighten your mood. “You know I’m too stubborn to die.” He could feel you start to relax against him, but he still added, “You’re gonna have to put up with me for the rest of your life. It’s what you signed up for when you befriended me.”
His stupidity managed to make you crack a smile, and your choppy breathing and watery eyes slowly came to a stop. “I wouldn’t want it any other way.”
“Good. Me neither.”
Neither of you spoke again. You didn’t return to your dorm, and Fred didn’t ask you to either. You knew that if you let go of Fred's arm now, the nightmare would most likely strike again, depriving you of a good night's sleep.
Being wrapped in Fred’s arms calms you down and allows you to fall asleep, and slumber hits you after a few minutes.

The sun flowed golden through the window, making a polite announcement for the rising sun. The sunlight created rainbow diamonds that swirled across the wall's canvas.
“Good morning, lovebirds,” George’s chippy voice made you groan and bury further in Fred’s chest.
“They look very cozy, don’t you think, George?” You recognized Lee's voice.
“They certainly do, Lee.”
“Shut up!” Fred opened his eyes and tossed his pillow at his brother and best friend, who were standing at the foot of his bed. “People are trying to sleep over here.”
“Have you seen what time it is? You'll be in trouble if someone sees Y/N leave the room at this hour.”
That caused you to widen your eyes and turn to look at the clock. It was barely half an hour before breakfast.
“Oh shit!” You exclame.
“Why didn’t you wake us up sooner?”
George shrugged as he gazed at his brother. “You seemed very comfortable. I didn’t want to disturb your sleep.”
The older twin rolled his eyes.
“Hey Y/N,” Lee called for your attention. “You are welcome to return tonight and sleep in my bed. I’m a better cuddler than Freddie.”
George laughed at his friend’s suggestion, but it didn't elicit the same emotion in Fred, who rolled out of bed and smacked his friend across his head.
“Ouch,” he grumbled, massaging his head.
“Watch it, Jordan,” Fred warned, pointing his finger at him.
“Yeah, Lee. Don’t you know Freddie boy here is the only one allowed to cuddle little Y/N/N?”
Fred was about to reprimand his brother when he was startled by the sound of the bedroom door clicking shut. When he turned around, he saw that you had already left the room.
Tumblr media
You crept down the hallway of the boys’ dorms back to your room trying not to be caught by other students. When you reached the girls' dorms there's a loud noise around the corner and you quickly ducked into an alcove. You peek out and spot a group of girls chatting and laughing as they walk down the hall toward the common room.
Once the coast was clear, you went to your dorm and softly pushed the door open, trying to make as little noise as possible, until you were safely inside.
“G’day, buttercup,” Your friend, Alicia Spinnet, greeted you. “Fun night?”
She and Angelina were already dressed in their uniforms, gazing at you  like a deer caught in headlights. Angelina was looking at you, admonishing, while Alicia's eyes were amused. You didn't need to tell them where you'd spent the night because you were confident they already knew.
“You should not be sneaking into the boys’ dorms late at night. I’m sure you have plenty of time to snog your boyfriend during the day.”
“C’mon, Angie. Let the girl have her fun.”
You frowned at her. “Fred’s not my boyfriend.”
Angelina laughed at you humorlessly. “Yeah, sure.”
“What’s your problem?” You approached her, facing her. “You’ve been a bitch to me lately for no reason.”
“I’m the bitch? I’m not the one that sneaks into the boys’ room in the middle of the night.”
“I’m sorry that my friendship with Fred bothers you that much, but blaming me for his rejection will not make him want you.”
Something smacked against your face, and your cheek began to sting. When you realize your friend had slapped you, your heart began to race.
Angelina had always been there for you, through everything. She was, along with the twins, one of the first people you befriended during your first year at Hogwarts. But now, after years of friendship, she had finally let herself go too far. Slapping you in the face hard was something you never expected from her.
“Angie!” Alicia gasped horrified.
“It’s alright,” you interjected, taking a long breath. You weren’t going to give her the satisfaction of seeing you altered. “Do you feel better now?” You looked at your friend, but you didn’t wait for her reply nor did you expect her to reply. You picked up your uniform from your trunk and made your way to the bathroom.
Tumblr media
It'd been a week since your altercation with Angelina. She couldn't get the rage out of her head since then. Every time she saw you, she would experience an illogical outburst of anger. You haven’t tried to talk with her either. You were stubborn, but you weren't in the wrong this time, and she had no right to tell you the awful things she did, let alone hit you.
As if on cue, Angelina and Alicia entered the room. The smile on Angelina’s face caused by whatever Alicia said evaporated as her gaze was drawn to the table in front of her—you were sitting on one of the Gryffindor common room sofas. Fred's head rested on your lap, his legs sprawled out along the length of the couch while you ran your fingers through his ginger locks, braiding them.
Anger simmered inside her as she glared at you. She stomped her foot and mumbled a string of curses, her hands into fists as she marched towards the stairs that led to the dorms. Alicia smiled apologetically and followed her friend's lead.
“What’s wrong with her?” Fred gazed up at you, perplexed by the Quidditch Captain's actions.
“She’s upset that you don’t wanna go to the Yule Ball with her.”
“Still? Godric, you girls need to let things go.”
“You tell her that,” you grumbled, “She thinks we are dating.”
Fred didn’t seem fazed by your words. “Yeah. Lee and George think so too.”
“You have really soft hair,” you muttered, trying to change the topic of the conversation, as you didn’t like where it was heading.
“It’s the Weasley gene,” he joked, making you laugh.
“See, you can’t do shit like that and not want us to think you’re a couple.”
George and Lee dashed down the stairwell. They strolled over, leaning over the back of the couch, looking with amused eyes at the display of affection between you and Fred.
“I’m just braiding his hair,” you said more defensively than intended.
“You’re just jealous that you don’t have a best friend who braids your hair.”
The younger twin cracked a sly smirk. “Would you braid my hair, Y/N?”
“No, she won’t,” Fred answered almost in an instant, lacking amusement.
“Why not? She’s my friend too.”
“Exactly, you said it yourself— friend. Not best friends. You are just her friend. I’m her best friend and she can only have one best friend.”
“You’re so childish.”
“He’s like a possessive boyfriend who doesn’t like his girl hanging around with other guys,” Lee whispered in George’s ear.
“Watch this,” George mouthed at Lee, who was looking at him expectantly.
“Hey, Y/N,” you shifted your gaze away from Fred’s ginger locks to look at the other ginger. “Do you happen to have a date for the Yule Ball?”
Fred’s body stiffened at his brother’s words.
You squint your eyes at George’s question. You knew him well enough to know he wasn’t asking just for the sake of asking. “I don’t.”
“Wanna go together?” He wriggled his eyebrows, “I’m the family's best dancer.”
“I doubt it,” you replied to him. “I bet Ginny’s got that talent, along with the brains.”
Lee roared a chuckle, and George placed a hand on his chest, a mock offended expression on his face.
“You hurt me, Y/N/N.”
You rolled your eyes at his antics.
“Who are you going to go with, then? I doubt you'll find a more suitable suitor than me.”
“She’s going with me,” Fred replied casually.
You lowered your gaze at your friend. “I am?” You inquired, “When did you ask me?”
“Now,” he said, smiling broadly, “Would you do me the honor to accompany me to the Yule Ball, dear Y/N?
Tumblr media
Yule Ball night.
You stood in front of the full-length mirror, your reflection stared back at you. You had never felt so beautiful before. You admired your dress, feeling happy with how it looked on you.
You were wearing a beautiful gown in spring garden hues. It had delicate blossom details and it was made of beautifully draped plisse tulle that pleats over a nude corset bodice. Whispery yet regal, plisse tulle at skirt had underlayers with subtle sparkle that made it truly magical.
You spent hours debating what to do with your hair, and in the end, following Alicia’s suggestion of a low bun with a French braid. You wrapped the bun with a lock of hair already plaited in a French braid and pinned it in place. And as a final touch, you added a cute hair clip for some extra glitz.
“Wow,” your friend gasped behind you. You turned around to meet her already in her gown. “Fred’s gonna lose his mind when he sees you.”
“I can say the same about Lee,” you smiled, “Have you seen yourself? You’re stunning!”
You took one last look at your reflection in the mirror before leaving the dorm. You couldn’t help but smile at yourself; this is going to be a night to remember.
Fred couldn’t take his eyes off you as you descended the stairs. You had always been beautiful to him, but tonight you were especially stunning. Watching you now, he couldn't believe that he was about to have the chance to dance with you. He had a warm feeling inside of him, and he couldn't help but smile at you. As you came closer, he could see the happiness in your eyes, which made him even more excited.
“Hi,” you greeted him when you reached the bottom of the stairs and walked over to him.
“Hey,” Fred smiled at you, “You look beautiful.”
“Thank you. You don’t look so bad yourself.”
“Shall we?” Fred inquired, extending his arm to you. You nodded and walked over to the Great Hall, linking your arm with his.
Soon enough, you were in the middle of the crowd, swirling around to the music. As you danced together, Fred felt like nothing could tear you apart. You laughed and smiled as you moved around the ballroom, and it was honestly one of the happiest moments of Fred's life.
As the night progressed and the music got slower and more sentimental, you knew that this would be one of the most memorable nights of your life.
“Are you having a good time?” Fred asked. You had your arms around his neck and his hands were respectfully on your waist as you swayed to the rhythm of the music.
You hummed in response and gazed up at him. “Thank you for taking me. Even if you only did it to piss your brother.”
“What?” he frowned, “I didn’t take you to piss George off. He asked you to piss me off.” Fred grumbled.
“Why would it piss you off me coming with him?”
Fred tensed briefly at your question, but he quickly brushed it off. “I didn’t say it would piss me off; I meant that he believed it would piss me off,” he quickly explained, “Y’know, since he thinks we’re dating.”
You took in his explanation, still not convinced enough. “And then you asked me just to prove to him that it did, in fact, piss you off?”
“I asked because I wanted to spend the night with you.”
“Then why did you wait ‘till the last minute?”
You weren’t truly bothered, but you liked how he squirmed with each question you threw at him. It was hilarious to watch him so uneasy. It wasn’t something you were used to, so you were savoring the moment.
He was going to defend himself again when he saw the smile breaking out on your face. “You’re so mean,” he pouted.
“Sorry. You’re fun to mess with.”
As the songs continued to play and you kept swaying, you slowly –and probably unconsciously– brought each other in close until your bodies were pressed tightly against each other and you could feel each other's pulses racing under their skin.
“A little too close for a friend’s dance,” Angelina's crabby voice resonated among her friends at the table as they watched you and Fred dance a few feet away.
Alicia sighed at her friend’s snarky comment. She was tired of the situation and being in the middle of her two best friends’ feud, trying not to take sides.
“Still upset by Fred’s rejection?” Lee teased, “Or is it the fact that he’s in love with your best friend that bothers you?”
Angelina rolled her eyes. “I don’t bloody care who he likes. They could just say they're together once and for all, and not make us look stupid.”
“I don’t think they are together,” George chimed in, after a lengthy gulp of firewhiskey. “But there’s definitely something there.”
Lee frowned at the younger twin, “What made you change your mind?”
He was perplexed by his friend's quick change of heart. George was the first to suspect you and his twin were secretly dating and denying it to annoy them.
The ginger simply shrugged and sipped his drink again.
Tumblr media
“I wish the school did more things like this,” you reflected. You were sitting on the couch in the Gryffindor’s Common Room, the ball had ended hours before, but the night hadn't ended for you and Fred. He was seated next to you, with your head resting on his shoulder. You sat there watching the fireplace flames dance and shimmer. You've always enjoyed the sound of a crackling fire and the warmth it provided during the winter months. However, Fred was completely focused on you. He admired the flickering light from the fireplace as it played off your features, making them shine. He couldn't take his eyes off of you.
He loved everything about you, from your laugh to your dimples.
Fred had never felt this way about someone. 'Should I say something? What if she thinks it's weird?' Maybe it was just because he'd never had that type of connection with anybody else before, but he didn't want to ruin it by intruding on your night.
“You didn’t have enough of my dance moves, did you?” He laughed, attempting to put any other thoughts to the back of his mind.
“You were pretty good. Surprisingly.”
A faux offended expression played on your best friend’s face. “Excuse me?” Fred placed a hand on his chest in mockery. “What do you mean by surprisingly?”
Before you could even get a clue of what was happening, you were pinned down on the couch, Fred's body hovering over you while his large fingers tickled your sides. You laughed hard, doubling over in pain and joy.
“Stop,” you said between giggles, trying to get away from him as he tickled you further.
"Okay, okay," you finally said when you knew you'd never be able to break free from Fred's grip, “I give up.”
When he was done, you lay there, gasping for air and laughing uncontrollably.
Fred reached for your face with his palm, tucking away a few strands of your hair, clearing the way so your gazes could meet.
You've always thought Fred’s eyes were beautiful and bright, always holding something special inside. It was difficult to put into words how much you loved looking into them, but it was definitely something special. Maybe it was just the way they made you feel small and vulnerable in a way that nobody else ever had, but there was just something about them that made you complete.
“You are beautiful,” he whispered ever so softly, and something turned in your stomach.
“You live to flatter.”
“That’s why you love me.”
“I never said I loved you.”
He smirked at your words. “Then, tell me,” he challenged, “Tell me you love me.”
You grew a sneaky grin on your face, moved in closer — if that was possible — and whispered in his ear, “Make me.”
His eyes darkened, and his smile became wider. His fingers sank into your waist again before you could react. “Tell me you love me!” he exclaimed.
“Never!” You shouted, giggling.
His fingers continued to tickle your sides, making you laugh, squirm, and beg him to stop.
“Say you love me, Y/N.”
“What in Merlin’s beard are you doing?” A reprimanding voice from the staircase made its way into the Common Room. “Do you know what time is it? You are gonna wake everyone up.”
George gave you a disapproving look, and he was too exhausted to see that he had wrecked the moment between his brother and you that Fred had been looking forward to for so long.
Fred sighed and got off of you, you followed his actions and went to pick up your heels from the floor.
“Sorry, Georgie,” you apologized to your friend, “You’re right, it’s late. I’m gonna head off to bed. Goodnight, guys.”
You didn’t spare a glance at the twins. You couldn’t look at Fred after what had happened,  and all you could think about was what might have happened if George hadn't walked in.
'Would you have confessed?
Would he have told you he loved you?
Would you have kissed?
What would it have felt to kiss his lips?'
You shook your head, trying to clear your mind of any stray thoughts concerning you and Fred.
You were only friends.
Best friends.
And that’s all you’d ever be.
But would let the rest of the world keep thinking that you were something more.

notes: I have not posted in quite some time, nor have I wrote anything in a long time. I tried to avoid the use of y/n. Fred calls her 'little red' or 'red' ocassionally, this is explained in the writing.
masterlist
Six years of friendship. Six years of falling for Fred Weasley, really. If she were to be honest with herself, she knew she loved him two years ago. It was just easier to ignore as a 15 year old girl. She initially tried to write it off as just feeling that way because they were so close already, but she knew that wasn’t true. She was just as close with his twin brother, George, and she wasn’t in love with him. Fred was different. They knew each other on a different level. They could be overly affectionate with each other. When she saw him at the platform this year, she ran to him and jumped into his arms and stayed there despite George whining that he hadn’t seen her in just as long. On the train ride, she fell asleep with her head in his lap whilst he and George started scheming their first prank of the school year. He would hush George any time she would start to stir, then gently play with her hair until she settled again. She had fallen asleep on George’s shoulder once, and swore to never do it again. Whilst he was also one of her best friends, he did not hold the same kind of soft spot for her as his twin did. He had used a spell to turn her hair bright green. She was livid when she realised. Poor George was afraid to turn his back to her for the next four months. She had waited six months for her revenge, perfecting the same colour changing spell, but turning all of his clothes pink.
Now at 17, her feelings were harder to hide. The pangs of jealousy at every Gryffindor party after a quidditch match when girls would shamelessly flirt with him. And he seemed to love it. Tonight was another one of those nights. Gryffindor had destroyed Slytherin on the quidditch pitch and were, of course, throwing their usual celebration. She sat next to George and Angelina on the couch, her eyes following Fred. Her gaze only left him as Julie came up to him and was heavily laying on the charm. She felt the jealousy bubbling in her like a failed potion about to go horribly wrong. She felt George shift and wrap an arm around her shoulder, giving her a slight squeeze. “Love, why don’t you talk to him?” Angelina asked, reaching over George to squeeze her hand. Her gaze moved from her knees to her two friends, a heavy sigh leaving her lips. “I couldn’t possibly talk to him about this, Ang. I’d tell him everything and feel like an absolute git after.” She admitted, letting out another huff. George shook his head, opening his mouth to speak but quickly closing it. Ever since the start of the year, she had grown closer to George and his girlfriend, Angelina. Unfortunately, closer than she was with Fred. They were definitely still close, but something was different between them this year. And it wasn’t that she was head over heels in love with him. It was him that was keeping a distance between the two of them. Every year, she sat with them at the Gryffindor table. Her Ravenclaw robes made her stick out like a sore thumb in the sea of red, but Fred and George were her best friends. In fact, she only ever sat at her own houses table a handful of times. The sorting ceremony, the last day, and that couple of months last year when Fred had a girlfriend who absolutely hated her. She had friends in Ravenclaw, but she wasn’t as close to anyone as she was with Fred. George was a close second, but her and Fred always just clicked. They clicked from the first train ride to Hogwarts they ever had. They were nearly inseparable. If Fred wasn’t with George, he was with her, or they were all together. She spent a few weeks with the Weasley’s every summer. Molly was like her second mother at this point. She loved spending time with all of them. She loved answering all of Arthur’s questions about the muggle world. She loved hanging out with Ginny, the only other girl around her age in the Weasley household. It was usually the highlight of her summer.
A loud cheering pulled her attention away from her two friends as they all turned to the source of the noise. It felt like her heart shattered into dust. Don’t cry. Do not cry. Not here. “I-, I have to go.” She quickly stammered, slipping away from her friends and blinking back tears. There he was. Fingers tangled in Julie’s hair, kissing her passionately. She tried to keep her head down as she pushed towards the door. She knew better, but she looked up anyway. Another stab to the heart. Her tear-filled gaze met the eyes of Fred Weasley. Fred Weasley, best friend, heartbreaker. She tore her gaze from his and moved as quickly as she could without running. She pushed out of the door, finally letting a tear fall as the door shut behind her. She could’ve swore she heard George yelling at his twin as she stepped out, but she could be wrong. She stood in the hall for a moment, unsure of what to do. Her feet were moving before she registered that she was moving. She knew Fred, she knew he would try to come after her. He was her best friend, after all. Part of her wished he would push through the door, catch up to her and wrap her in his arms. The other part of her, the hurt, told her to stop hoping he would feel the same way. Though, he would ask George what happened first, which bought her some time, yet not enough to get to her common room before he caught up with her. Even if she ran, he could easily catch up to her. Before she knew it, she was standing in the middle of the hall, watching the door to the room of requirements take shape. She heard him calling her name, and heard his footsteps. She didn’t want him to see her like this, not right now. Not when it was so fresh. She shouldn’t be crying. They were only friends, she was the one hopelessly in love with him. She reached for the doorknob, sliding into the room and quickly shutting the door behind her. Merlin, please let the door disappear before he gets down here. She slid down the wall next to the door. How absolutely foolish could she be? Her and Fred would never happen. It was clear at this point. She was terrified that if she told him how she felt, it would ruin their friendship. Not only would she be heartbroken, but she would lose her best friend too.
She had no idea how long she sat there for. Maybe an hour? Maybe two? It took nearly another hour before she gathered the courage to leave. Even if he had seen her, she doubted he would’ve waited for her. Maybe two years ago, but not now. Not with this weird distance between them. Definitely not after close to three hours of her hiding. She could still confidently say that Fred was her best friend, but it was different. It wasn’t like before. They weren’t joined at the hip anymore. This summer made that clear. She spent most of her time with Ginny and Molly. The few times they had spent together went from comfortable and playful to awkward. There were moments when it felt like he may also feel the same way about her, but he always seemed to pull away a little more after. She could’ve sworn he was going to kiss her one night, her heart felt like it was beating in her throat. But he just cleared his throat and awkwardly scratched the back of his head as he took a step back from her. Maybe she should’ve just kissed him then, and let whatever would happen just happen. At least she would’ve known how he felt. She might have lost her best friend, but she wouldn’t constantly feel this hurt and jealousy.
She pressed on the wall, waiting for the door to appear to make her exit. She slowly pushed the door open, only then realising she should have left from the other side of the room. There he was. That beautiful, heartbreaking idiot. His head leaned back against the wall, mouth slightly open as he slept. She realised she really had been in there for much longer than she thought and it was a miracle Fred hadn’t been found by Filch or Mrs. Norris. She kneeled in front of him, resting her hands on his knees. “Freddie.” She whispered lightly, pushing against his knees to hopefully wake him, but she knew he could sleep through the whole castle crumbling to the ground. “Freddie!” She whisper-yelled, shaking him harder, earning a groan from him. “Fred Gideon Weasley, get up before Filch comes and kills us both!” She whispered harshly, causing Fred to finally open his eyes. His sleepy gaze quickly turned to a soft look when he took her in. She knew her eyes had to be slightly puffy and her nose was red. It always turned red after she cried, and she hated it. She also hated that Fred always knew when she was upset or had been crying, and he always knew exactly how to make her feel better. Whether she needed a hug, or to be held, or if he needed to go to ridiculous measures just to make her laugh. Fred reached out and pulled her to him, stretching his legs out so she was in his lap. She fell forward against him as he hugged her. She let her head rest against his chest, feeling tears threaten to fill her eyes again. “C’mon little red.” He whispered, moving to get up. “I don’t have red hair.” She mumbled, she didn’t know where the nickname had come from. Fred had just started calling her it one day. The only answer for why she ever got was that she was now an honorary Weasley and she was tiny. It used to annoy her to no end, which is probably why it stuck. Fred loved getting reactions out of her, because even if something annoyed her when it came to him, she secretly loved it. It was like he knew it.
She walked next to him, keeping her head down. She watched her feet as she walked. She wasn’t paying attention, she just let him lead the way. She figured they would go to his dorm. It was the closest and safest bet. The chances of not getting caught on the way to her common room were slim to none. It was way too late to even consider being out of the common room, everyone was most likely asleep by now. She knew they were entering the Gryffindor common room. The Fat Lady had long ago stopped putting up a fight about her being snuck into the common room after hours. It happened so often that it wasn’t worth it. She didn’t bother to look up, just followed Fred to the stairs. The floor was a mess and she was afraid to look up. She didn’t want to relive her most recent memory in this room. She followed Fred into his dorm, noting that it was empty. He shared a room with George and Oliver Wood. Neither of the other two boys were here. She stood there silently as Fred moved around. He pulled out a jumper and handed it to her, turning around for her to change. The normalcy of this pained her. She knew Fred had seen her almost completely naked. He had stayed with her when she was sick last year. She had a fever that wouldn’t break and she had stripped out of her shirt and pyjama shorts in her sleep- with Fred sharing the same bed. She pulled the jumper over her head before pulling her jeans off. The jumper hung down to her knees, Fred was nearly a foot taller than her, if not more. She didn’t say anything as she climbed into his bed, only huffing as she rolled over to face away from him.
She felt his weight as he slid into his bed, turning to face her back. “George told me what happened. She kissed me, and I didn’t…” He whispered so quietly she could barely hear him. Her whole body seemed to tense as she registered what he said. Of course George told him. Bloody hell. She felt Fred’s hand brush over her arm. He grabbed her shoulder, gently trying to turn her to him. She fought him on it, but it was no use. He was stronger than she was, no matter how determined she was to keep her back to him. “You know you can tell me anything. Hell, you’re my best friend.” Fred whispered, his eyes on her face. She stared at the ceiling, feeling tears well in her eyes again. “That’s the problem, Freddie. I’m your best friend.” Her whisper was soft, not trusting herself to speak without starting to cry again. “And I hate it.” She finished, closing her eyes tightly to press the tears back. She could still feel his eyes on her, but she knew she couldn’t look at him. She knew she would break. She knew he would hold her until she either calmed down or fell asleep. Merlin’s beard, they were more than just friends. Friends don’t do this. Friends don’t share a bed. Friends don’t sleep in nothing but the others jumper and their underwear and cuddle. Friends don’t wake up wrapped in each other's arms. Friends don’t cling to each other the way they usually do. She loved George like a brother, he was one of her closest friends. Her and George are not friends like she and Fred are. She felt a tear squeeze its way from her eye. She let out a shaky sigh as she felt Fred brush it away with his thumb. He pulled her into him and she hated him for it. She hated him at that moment. She hated that he made her hurt, but he was the only one that could make her feel better. A sob escaped her lips as the tears began to fall. “I hate you. I hate that you’re so damn oblivious to me. All I am is your best friend and I’ve been in love with you for two years, you idiot.” She cried into his chest. He cradled her head with one arm and pulled her closer with the other, holding her there as she cried. “I’m sorry, Red, I-i didn’t know.” He held her tighter, placing a kiss on the top of her head. His fingers drew circles on her back as her cries slowly stopped. He hadn’t realised she had fallen asleep until her grip on his shirt slowly loosened.
She woke up pressed to Fred’s chest and her legs tangled in his. His fingers were drawing slow shapes on her side. God she was still so hurt. The image of him kissing Julie replaying in her head. She went to pull away from him, only to be pulled against him tighter. “Let me go.” She mumbled, pushing against him again. “No can do, doll.” He mumbled back. “I still hate you.” She bit back, trying her best to ignore the comfort she felt being pressed against. “You don’t mean that.” His voice was gentle. He was used to her little fits. She had told him multiple times over the years that she hated him. The first time when he accidentally broke her brand new quill that her father had sent her as a gift when she found a new hobby of writing. It was their second year. He had saved up anything he could get until Christmas that year to buy her the same one. She had cried then too, but those were happy tears. She had told him she hated him the day he told her that he couldn’t come see her that summer, that was year three. Then she wrote to his mother and asked if she could come there to see him and George. Of course, Molly said yes. She was so delighted to finally meet the twin’s best friend. She was glad they finally had someone to level out their antics, but that didn’t last long. They were always up to something. She had told him three times in year four that she hated him. Once was when he had her pinned down and was mercilessly tickling her. She gasped it out between laughs. She even used his full name. He couldn’t help but smile, only to stop tickling when she rushed out that she was going to pee her pants if he didn’t stop. But he kept jumping at her, pretending he was going to tickle her again. The second time was when he was dating Hannah. They had gotten into a fight, screaming at each other. She was sad because she felt like she was losing Fred as a friend because Hannah hated her. And he called her bitter and jealous that she had never had a boyfriend. It was then that she told him she hated him. He could see the hurt in her eyes. That was the first time it truly hurt when she said she hated him. It felt like she meant it that time. The third time was towards the end of the year. They had made up and were thicker than thieves once again. She had conned him into going to the library to study. He was messing around the whole time and trying to make her laugh. He took it a little too far, accidentally hitting her inkwell. It shot across the table, they both moved to catch it and they both missed. It had spilled all over her skirt. She said she hated him then and told him he was lucky he was her best friend, otherwise he’d have to buy her a new skirt. Last year, year five, there were odd bits of distance between them, but when he thought about it, they weren’t odd. They were distant every time he had a girlfriend or was chasing after some girl. He had been slightly jealous of George since last year. She seemed to latch on to him, but it all made sense. She was distancing herself to protect herself and George was there for her, probably to tell her that Fred was an idiot and he’d come around one day.
“Look at me.” He said as he rolled on to his side, sliding her off his chest. She stared at his chest, not meeting his gaze. “I am.” She mumbled and he had to stop himself from rolling his eyes. Her full name left his lips as he gently pushed her chin up to force her to look at him, but she kept her eyes trained on his chest. “I swear, you are so stubborn that I wonder how you weren't sorted into Gryffindor.” She looked up at him, eyes narrowed. “What Fred? What do you want? I don’t care if she kissed you. You didn’t have to kiss her back.” She bit out. He had to hide his smirk. If she wasn’t so upset with him, he knew she would’ve rolled her eyes and made a ridiculous comment on how she was surprised he wasn’t sorted into Slytherin. He suddenly missed her jests, wishing he could rewind to before the party. George had told him that someone they knew was pining after him. He just didn’t think it would be his best friend. But then again, how could it not be? They spent most of their time together, either alone or with George. If he wasn’t with George, he was with her. People often commented on them acting like a couple. Fred would walk her to class, arm slung around her shoulder. “I’m an idiot-” He started, only to be cut off by her. “I know you are. You’re the biggest idiot I know.” She tried to hold her glare, fighting a small smile. “C’mon, little red, let me finish.” He raised his brow as she opened her mouth to talk then closed it. She let out a sigh, waiting for him to continue. “You say I’m the biggest idiot you know, which may be true. But I’m the most handsome idiot you know.” He paused as a small smile tugged at her lips. “I’m an idiot, I’m sorry. You could’ve just told me. Could’ve said ‘hey, you big, handsome, idiot, I love you’.” He paused again, reaching up and tucking her hair behind her ear. “I would’ve said, ‘hey, little red, I love you too’.”
“Stop calling me that.” she mumbled and Fred let out an exasperated noise. He noticed the small smile playing on her lips. “I still hate you, at least for the next five minutes.” Her voice was much softer this time. “You’re so stubborn.” he mumbled, smiling when he felt her fingers grasp his shirt. “And you’re an idiot for not kissing me.” She mumbled, her gaze still locked with his. He slowly leaned in, his nose brushing hers as her eyes fluttered shut. “I’ve never kissed anyone before.” She whispered as he leaned in. Her lips just barely brushing his as she spoke. He paused for a moment. He knew she had never dated anyone, but he didn’t think she had never kissed anyone before. He closed the gap, gently kissing her. The kiss was slow and soft, until she took him by surprise when she nipped his bottom lip. He groaned, pulling her flush against him as he deepened the kiss. “Never kissed anyone before, unbelievable.” He mumbled against her lips. She pulled on his shirt in a futile attempt to get closer than they already were. It was when she slid her hand up her chest and around his shoulder up to his hair that the door to his dorm opened. He reluctantly broke the kiss, looking up to see George standing in the doorway. “Well, I was coming to tell you that no one has seen our little friend here since last night, but I see you’re snogging her.” George grins. You roll over at his comment, turning to look at him. George winks at you and then turns his attention back to Fred. “I am now obligated to help her hide your body, doesn’t matter that you’re my brother.” George states, causing her to laugh.
“George, leave. Please.” Fred groans. “I think he should stay. This is fun. Hey, Georgie, isn’t Fred the biggest idiot you know?” She asks, smiling sweetly at Fred. “That’s likely!”
After George had left, they spent the entire morning in bed. Fred stealing kisses from her when she wasn’t dozing back off. “Freddie?” She whispered, curled into his side, her head laying on his chest. He hummed an acknowledgement. “Did you mean it?” She asked, her fingers grasping his shirt again. A small chuckle came from him as he squeezed her to him. “I love you, I have for some time. You’re also my best friend and I didn’t want to lose you.” He said, placing a kiss on the top of her head. “I love you, you big, handsome idiot.” She said as she lifted her head to look at him. “Don’t think I won’t ask George to help hide your body.” She grinned as he laughed.
The rest of the year seemed to breeze by. Two months of Fred pulling her into random broom closets between classes and sneaking into the room of requirements before curfew. Countless nights spent in there, hidden away among the mess. Before she knew it, everyone was packing and getting ready to leave for the summer.
“Fred, I’m too tired, carry me.” She whined as he gently woke her when the train finally stopped at the station. He let out a sigh as George laughed at him, shaking his head. She was going to the Weasley’s for the summer as her parents were away until November. She sat up, rubbing her eyes, looking up at Fred. “After we get off the train, then I’ll think about it.” He reached a hand out to her, helping her up. The journey to the Weasley’s was rather quick. They travelled through the floo system. She dramatically collapsed into Fred’s arms when they got back. “So tired.” she mumbled. “You’re going to kill me.” He laughed, picking her up. This wasn’t entirely unusual for the two of them. Everyone was used to Fred and her clinging to each other. Molly would often give Fred a knowing look when she would walk into the den, finding her sleeping with her head in his lap or curled up against him. Molly also knew that, most nights, if she were to peek into Fred’s room, she would find the two of them together. She often heard them talking in loud whispers and trying to hide their laughter in the middle of the night. It didn’t dawn on her that only a handful of them knew they were together, not until George opened his mouth. “Hey ma, did you know that Freddie has a girlfriend?” A groan left Fred as he stared his twin down. She buried her face in his chest, trying to ignore the slew of reactions from the older Weasleys. Molly was utterly delighted, commenting on how she was surprised that it took this long.
The days seemed to fly by spending them in the Weasley household. Lots of stolen kisses and sneaking around. It wasn't until mid-July that her and Fred were alone in the house together. Everyone had gone out for one reason or another and it was just the two of them. They spent the morning in Fred’s bed, tangled together. She was constantly falling back asleep and Fred was just content to hold her. It wasn’t until she was the one to lean up and kiss him that the day seemed to take a slight turn. They had shared a bed countless times, kissing had almost turned into more countless times as well. But this kiss was needy and built a fire in the both of them. She started the kiss. It was soft, loving at first. Then she nipped his bottom lip and a groan left his lips. His fingers dug into her hips, the feeling giving her the courage she needed in the moment. She moved to straddle him. His hand pushed up the jumper she stole from him, revealing her bare thighs. She really would be the death of him. She never seemed to wear pants. Just his shirt and a pair of panties, she was a constant tease seemingly unknowing to the fact. The kiss was still innocent enough, until she ground her hips down on his. The almost whiny moan that left her lips had him flipping them over. His lips trailed down her neck, nipping and sucking at the skin, most likely leaving marks in his wake. The sounds that left her lips were driving him wild. “You’re killing me.” He mumbled against her neck. His hands slid around her body. He gripped her hips before sliding a hand up her shirt. His fingers pinched and rolled her nipple, a lewd moan leaving her lips.
“Freddie, please.” She whined, pushing her hips up against his for any sort of friction. She tugged at his shirt, pulling it up until he reached up to pull it over his head. He leaned down, capturing her lips with his. She deepened the kiss, swiping her tongue against his bottom lip. He still found it hard to believe she had never kissed anyone before him. Not when she kissed him like this. She continued to grind her hips against his, moaning into the kiss. Her hands slid down his chest, her fingers hooking under the waistband of his pyjamas pants. She started to push them down when Fred broke this. “Baby-” He started only to be cut off by her leaning up and kissing him again. He knew she was virgin, while he may not be, he didn’t want her to feel like she had to do this. He was content just being with her. “Freddie, please. I want you. I-,” She paused, looking up to meet his eyes. “I want you to be my first.” Her breathy proclamation almost made him groan, but it was her reaching down and palming him through his pants that made a groan fall from his lips. Fred reached for the hem of her shirt, pulling it off and tossing it on the floor. His eyes dragged over her body. She was perfect. “So pretty, baby.” He groaned, she would’ve thought he was talking to himself until his eyes met hers. His hands slid from her hips and over her stomach before he leaned down, kissing down her neck to her navel. It was then that her nerves started to build up. His lips pressed to her hip as he looked up at her. “If you want to stop, we will. At any point, baby.” He nipped at her hip as he pulled her panties down. She felt her cheeks flush, suddenly feeling exposed. Fred’s hands sliding up her legs seemed to calm her nerves. He pressed a kiss to her knee first, then trailed kisses down her inner thigh. It was the kiss that he placed closest to her sex that had the first moan falling from her lips. She gasped when she felt his tongue against her clit. He slowly added more pressure as he worked her clit. She didn't know how much more she could take, every pass of his tongue on her was overwhelming. Her hips bucked into his face. She was sure if she wasn’t so consumed by the building warmth in her abdomen that she would have been embarrassed. His name fell from her lips as he slowly worked a finger into her. His pace was painfully slow but every move made her feel like he already knew her body better than she ever could. It wasn’t until he worked a second finger into her and sucked her clit between his lips that she felt like she was falling apart. His name left her lips in succession until all she could do was moan. She moved her hips against his fingers, riding out her orgasm.
“Please, Freddie, I need you inside of me.” She let out a breathy whine. This girl would really be the death of him. He turned his head, leaving a hickey on the inside of her thigh. His lips were on hers in an instant. When she reached to push his pants down, this time he let her. He deepened the kiss, running his tongue along her bottom lip. He slipped his tongue against hers, taking his time kissing her. He ground into her, sliding his dick through her folds. He teased her with his tip before gently pushing into her. She gasped into his mouth, her body tensing at the intrusion. “Relax, baby, okay?” He whispered, kissing her jaw. He didn’t move his hips, but his hand snaked between them. His thumb pressed against her clit, causing another gasp to leave her lips. He continued to toy with her clit as she looked up at him. The look in her eyes as a quiet moan fell from her lips had his resolve wavering. It was when the next breathy moan fell from her lips that she took him by surprise. She pushed her hips up, taking more of him in. His ministrations continued as he tried to ease any of her discomfort with pleasure. She rolled her hips into his, fucking herself like she had done on his fingers. Fred moved his other hand to her hip, holding her hips in place. It was then that he pushed into her until she took all of him in. He pressed a kiss to her forehead, her nose, then her lips. The kiss was slow, gentle as he gave her time to adjust. She broke the kiss, brushing her nose against his. “Freddie.” His name left her lips in a breathy moan as she pushed against him. His thrusts were shallow at first, his forehead resting against hers. They moved slowly together, quiet moans falling from her lips. His name fell from her lips as he thrusted into her harder, faster. Her hands ran up his back, her nails digging into his skin as she gripped his shoulders. “O-oh, Freddie.” She gasped, tilting her head up to press her lips to his. She could feel her orgasm building again when he slid a hand between them, pressing his thumb to her clit. Fred could feel himself getting close to the edge.
“Fuck, baby, cum for me.” He groaned against her skin. His thumb pressed into her clit harder, circling until she threw her head back. His name fell from her lips, her nails digging into his back. The feeling of her walls clenching and spasming around him as she came sent him over the edge. Her name fell from his lips as he pressed his forehead to hers. “I love you, Freddie.” Her voice was a whisper. She leaned up to steal a quick kiss from his lips before he could speak. “I love you.” He mumbled between kisses.
They spent the next few hours tangled in each other, whispering sweet nothings, and her dozing off a few times. Fred woke her when he heard the first noises in the den below. Fred scrambled to find his clothes as she waltzed around his room to find hers. She pulled on a pair of leggings and his jumper. Her fingers slid across his sides as he pulled his shirt on. She wrapped her arms around him, pressing herself against him. His arms snaked around her, placing a kiss on the top of her head.

One of the boys
“Today was bloody brilliant!” Fred cheered and clapped you on the back as he raised his cup to Gryffindor. Practically the whole school was shoved in your common room to celebrate the quidditch cup.
“To Gryffindor!” Oliver bellowed drunkly as everyone drank and cheered.
“Seriously, Y/N, you played fucking amazing today,” Angelina bellowed, downing the rest of her drink.
“I can second that. Since when did you get so bloody good, little one?” George smiled as he put his arm around you. The twins had always been your good friends, the three of you joining the Gryffindor quidditch team in your third years. They’d often referred to you as little one, due to the fact that they towered over you. They constantly teased and pranked you, but you would also join in on their antics. More often than not, you guys were playing quidditch during the warm seasons and pranking Filch in the winter. You were really just one of the boys and you couldn’t be more happy to be a part of their mischief.
“I’ve always been good, Georgie. But I will admit, this was probably my best game yet,” you beamed as you joined the rest in downing your drink.
“You’re only that good thanks to our rigorous coaching throughout the years,” Fred smiled wryly, filling his own cup up again. You rolled your eyes.
“Yea right, Weasley. The two of you combined still wouldn’t be as good as me,” you challenged. The three of you went back and forth all night, drinking and laughing and celebrating Gryffindors victory. The high spirits continued throughout the week and before you knew it you were saying goodbye to all your friends at platform 9 and 3/4.
“Oh! So good to see you sweetie,” Molly smiled warmly as she dragged you into a tight hug, “Have a good summer, we’ll see you in the fall! Say goodbye boys.” Fred and George both approached you and each gave you a quick hug before heading out with the Weasley family.
“See you next year little one!” George called out.
“Don’t skimp out on the quidditch practice, Y/N! You could use it,” Fred shouted, giving you a cheeky smile and a wave. You rolled your eyes and sent a smile back before meeting with your own family and heading home for the summer.
3 months later
You checked yourself out in the mirror one last time and smoothed the top of your hair flat.
“Come on, Y/N! You’re going to miss the train,” your dad called from downstairs.
“Coming!”
Over the summer you had grown a considerable amount. Your dad had been teasing you about how much time you spent in the bathroom getting ready, but you didn’t care. For once in your life you actually felt pretty. Your body had begun to fill out in all the right places and your hair had grown out well past your shoulders now. You had started to shave your legs and wear perfume. You had even bought new clothes as you had outgrown your old wardrobe. All of this had instilled you with a newfound confidence that had you beaming. As you walked onto platform 9 and 3/4, you wore a fitted long sleeve shirt and some new low waisted jeans. You had blown out your hair into soft falling curls and you had even applied some lip gloss. You were excited to start your sixth year with all your friends and your new look.
“Bye guys! I’ll see you for Christmas,” you hugged your family before loading your trunks on the train. As you put your final trunk into the train, someone called your name from behind.
“Y/N?”
You turned around to see Fred and George standing behind you, still towering over your frame.
“Fred! George! How was your summer?” You bounded towards them and hugged George. When you pulled back to hug Fred he just stood there with his mouth slightly agape. George nudged him and he seemed to snap out of whatever trance he was in and leaned in to hug you.
“You look… different,” was all he could manage to say. You chuckled and put your hands on your hips.
“Yes, I’m not so little anymore. You guys can stop calling me little one now,” you teased.
“Nah, you’re still tiny,” George brushed you off as you all started to head onto the train to find a compartment. After walking down the length of the train, you had finally found the compartment where Lee and Angelina were.
“Y/N! How was your summer! Oh my gosh, you look absolutely stunning,” Angelina beamed as she hugged you and pulled you down to sit next to her.
“Thanks Angie, I can say the same about you! And my summer was amazing,” you guys chatted back and forth, catching up on all the latest gossip and all the fun things you did over the summer. Fred and George beamed about the Quidditch World Cup and soon the five of you were full of sweets and ready to take a quick nap before you had to change into your school robes.
“Every year I tell myself not to eat so many chocolate frogs, and every year I eat more than I did the year before,” Lee groaned, leaning back and rubbing his stomach. You laughed and slid down in your own seat, leaning your head against the window and looking out across the green landscape. You were so happy to be back with your friends. The summertime was amazing, but there was nothing like Hogwarts. As you smiled to yourself, you looked up from the window to see Fred staring at you with a serious expression. You raised an eyebrow at him but he just shook his head and looked out the window. That was weird. You shook it off and leaned your head against the window again and nodded off.
Before long, the train had pulled into the station and crowds of students were piling out into to the night to go to welcoming feast. As you filed out of the train and towards the carriages, Fred and George lagged behind a bit and whispered to each other.
“Do you think they’re acting a bit strange?” You leaned in towards Angelina, sending another glance back towards the twins.
“Aren’t they always?” Angelina shrugged as she stepped into the carriage. She had a point.
After a few minutes, you found yourself at the Gryffindor table listening to Dumbledore announce the Tri-Wizard Tournament, everybody increasingly getting excited as his speech went on. The excitement reached its peak as piles of fresh food appeared in front of you and everybody dug into the feast.
“Oh how I missed this food,” you groaned, piling food into your mouth. George hummed in agreement as he piled more potatoes into his mouth. You could feel Fred staring at you again but you decided against meeting his gaze this time. Were they going to prank you or something? He was acting so weird.
Shortly after dinner, everybody headed up to their dorms. Despite wanting to hang out together in the common room, the long day of travel and the large feast caught up with the Gryffindors as the students filed up the winding stairs to their rooms. You had just gotten to your room when you realized you left your book in the common room. You turned around and quietly padded down the stairs to retrieve it. You slowed your steps as you saw the twins huddled together on a couch with their backs turned from you.
“Well yes, I’m not disagreeing. Any bloke can see she looks good, so what? I mean, what are you trying to say?” You managed to hear George say as you approached the coffee table.
“Ooh, who looks good? Does someone have a crush?”
The twins jumped as you grabbed your book next to them.
“Bloody hell, Y/N!” Fred exclaimed with wide eyes. George laughed.
“See, you say you’re no longer little, but you’re so tiny your footsteps don’t even make a sound,” George teased, leaning back into the couch and tossing his arm over it. You rolled your eyes.
“You guys just stomp around like ogres, I walk like a normal human. Anyways, I’m heading to bed. Try not to drool over Angelina, Georgie. It’s only the first day back,” you teased as you turned to head up towards the girls dormitory. You heard George let out a loud laugh before hearing a loud slap and more commotion. You just smiled to yourself, oh how you missed those two. You entered your room and placed your book on your bedside table before going to your wardrobe to change.
“I think George likes you,” you nodded to Angelina as she shot up in her bed.
“Really?” She said with a slight smile. You just chuckled. You were so happy to be back.
The weeks flew by and soon the other wizarding schools had arrived. The only thing that sucked about this whole tournament was that there was no quidditch. It was a surprisingly warm November day when you bounded into the common room looking for a certain pair of red heads. You spotted them huddled up in the corner of the room, probably working on one of their pranking products as you had learned of recently.
“You two,” you pointed at the twins as they whipped their heads up, “wanna play quidditch? Two on two, George and Angelina, Me and Fred.” A cheeky grin immediately grew on George’s face as he turned to look at Fred. A more sheepish smile appeared on Fred’s face as he stood up.
“Alright, Y/N, let’s kick some ass.”
The game had turned out to be exactly what the four of you needed in midst of all the school work that was being assigned. You and Fred flew seamlessly together, scoring over and over again on George and Angelina. They were putting up a good front, but your flying skills were outmatched. You had even attracted a small crowd of students by the time the game ended.
“Good game,” you said, landing onto the field and sticking out your hand for Angelina.
“Yes, valiant effort you two,” Fred smirked, shaking Angelina’s hand after you.
“Merlin, Y/N, I forgot how good you are,” Angelina mumbled as she took her defeat in stride.
“Yeah, shes bloody brilliant,” Fred mumbled with a reserved smile. You looked up at him, beaming at the compliment but he quickly looked away and cleared his throat.
“Gotta admit it, little one. You sure can fly,” George clapped you on the back before following Angelina off the field.
“We make a good team, Freddie,” you smiled, patting his arm before beginning to walk off the field as well. You couldn’t help but feel a little sad. Why was Fred acting so weird around you? Did he not like you anymore? He had been so distant this year, choosing to spend his time with George and whenever you came over to join them, he seemed to shut down and become reserved. And Fred had certainly never been reserved before. You shook your head and walked back to your dorm to shower. You decided you’d ask George about it that night.
After dinner, you sat in the common room working on some homework with Angelina. You tried to focus on your assignment, but your eyes kept drifting over to the pair huddled in the corner. How in the world were you going to ask George about Fred when they were always together? As if your prayers had been answered, Fred stood up and walked out of the common room. Your eyes followed him until he disappeared through the portrait hole. You took no time waiting and began to walk over to George.
“Ah, Y/N, what’s up?” George closed whatever he was working on and put his arm over the back of the couch. You took a seat next to him and turned to face him, nervously playing with your sleeves.
“Um, I actually had a question for you,” you stammered, looking up towards the portrait hole to make sure Fred wasn’t coming back.
“Spit it out, Y/N. What’s up? You’re making me worried,” George laughed, scooting closer to you. You cleared your throat.
“Does Fred have a problem with me? I dunno, it just seems like he doesn’t like me around anymore. He’s been acting so weird and I don’t want to bother him if he doesn’t want me hanging out with you guys anymore,” you trailed off, looking down at your legs. George put his arm around your shoulders.
“Y/N, I can promise you that is not the case,” he sighed, “we both love hanging out with you.”
“Really?” You let out a breath and chuckled.
“Yes, really. Merlin, he is such an idiot,” he grumbled to himself, shaking his head.
“What do you mean?” You raised an eyebrow at him when Fred walked back into the common room. You looked up and your eyes met his. As he got closer to you and George, his brows furrowed. George took his arm off your shoulders and you shifted your body away from his.
“What are you guys talking about?” Fred questioned, stopping in his tracks and crossing his arms over his chest, looking mildly annoyed. Why were his forearms so ripped? You shook your head and cleared your throat.
“I was just bugging him about the herbology assignment, which he hasn’t even started,” you glared at George. It was true that he hadn’t even started the lengthy assignment that was due by the end of the week. George chuckled.
“Did you set it up Freddie?” George questioned, probably about a prank, looking up at his twin. Fred still looked visibly annoyed.
“Yes. I did, but I should’ve made you do it.” Fred said dryly, his jaw clenching slightly. George rolled his eyes. You looked between the twins with a confused expression. You rarely saw them annoyed at each other.
“Alright, well I’m headed upstairs. Goodnight you guys,” you ducked out of the awkward atmosphere and towards Angelina to grab your books.
“Goodnight, Y/N,” George said as Fred sat down in your seat and began to whisper something to George. What was that all about?
A few days went by and Fred was still acting distant. You wondered if George had even said anything to Fred about it. If anything, Fred was avoiding you even more. George tried to give you passing smiles and waves, but anytime he passed you in the halls, Fred would completely ignore you. Even at dinner, he would rarely engage in conversation with you and you were starting to feel really hurt. After this particular night where he purposefully avoided your gaze the entire dinner, you were actually angry at him. He’d been acting so weird all year and then as soon as you talked to George about it, he started completely ignoring you. That night, you left your dorm and stomped up to the twins room. You knocked on the door and stood there with your arms crossed waiting until George opened it. He looked taken aback by your angry presence.
“I need to talk to Fred, alone.” You stated. George gulped and turned to Lee.
“Let’s go to the common room,” he grabbed Lee and pushed past you. Fred was now looking at you from his bed. You couldn’t read the expression on his face. It looked half scared and half the nonchalant expression he’d been giving you the past few days.
“What the fuck is your problem with me?” You stomped over the his bed where he sat. He raised an eyebrow at you and crossed his arms.
“I don’t have a problem with you, Y/N. What are you talking about?” He shrugged as he looked up at you nonchalantly, but you could see his jaw tensing.
“Are you serious right now, Fred? You know exactly what I’m been talking about. You’ve been avoiding me all week, ever since I talked to George about you. I don’t know if he even mentioned it to you, but I thought you didn’t like me anymore! He told me that wasn’t true, but now I’m not too sure anymore! You’ve been acting like a prat all week!” You were fuming at this point. You couldn’t believe he had the audacity to pretend like he hadn’t been ignoring you for days.
“That’s not fuckimg true! I told you I don’t have a problem with you, Y/N,” he jumped up off the bed and stalked towards you, “why can’t you just take my word for it?” His height became apparent as he loomed over you. You only stood up straighter and kept your arms crossed.
“Well then what’s your problem? Why don’t you like hanging out with me anymore? Why are you avoiding me?” You questioned, your anger slowly seeping away and being replaced with the hurt you’d been feeling. Fred sighed, his posture relaxing as he saw your eyes fill with sadness. He groaned and ran his fingers through his hair.
“I do like hanging out with you, Y/N. Merlin, I’ve been missing spending time with you, I just…” he trailed off, his eyes falling to the floor.
“You just what, Fred? Since when are you so shy?” You asked genuinely. That only made Fred groan and run his hands roughly through his hair again.
“Since I started liking you! Since you showed up on the platform looking like that and now I can’t even look at you without thinking you’re the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen,” the words tumbled out of his mouth and left you standing there with your mouth open. Did he just say he likes you? Did he just call you beautiful? “I miss playing quidditch with you and coming up with pranks together but fuck, Y/N. I don’t want to be your friend anymore. I want to be with you.” You stood still for what felt like a long time. Were you dreaming right now? Your brain scrambled to make sense of what was happening. I mean, Fred was standing in front of you, confessing his feelings to you in a very real way. But you’d been friends for so long. What if this ruined everything? But he was standing right in front of you with his messy hair and his freckled face and his furrowed brows and he just looked so good and he was finally talking to you again and
“Oh, fuck it,” you breathed out, closing the space between the two of you. You were kissing him. And it felt so good. He groaned into your lips as his hands found their way to the small of your back, pulling you flush against his body as his lips worked against your own. Your hands tangled in his red locks as you pulled at his neck to deepen the kiss. His hands slid up your body until he held your cheeks. He kissed you softly one more time before pulling back. You face was blushed red as you stared up at him with wide eyes. He finally let out a breathy laugh and his lips curved up into a crooked smile.
“You’re so cute, fuck,” he laughed, still holding your face in his large hands, “I’m sorry I’ve been acting like a prat. I just didn’t want to ruin our friendship. But after kissing you, fuck, I should’ve ruined it a long time ago.”
“I just wish you would’ve told me earlier. Had I known you liked me, I could’ve had you kissing me all year,” you smirked as you walked him to the edge of his bed. He sat on the edge and pulled you down with him.
“Let’s make up for lost time then,” Fred whispered as he pulled you to his lips. You groaned as you straddled his lap and deepened the kiss. This man knew how to use his tongue.
“Fuck, Freddie,” you moaned into his mouth as his hands found their way to your ass. He chuckled as his grabbed your hips.
“I’ve been wanting to do that ever since I saw you bent over your luggage on the platform,” he breathed out with a smirk as he slapped your ass. You gasped and hit his chest.
“Freddie!” You scolded, but it didn’t last long as he pulled you back to his mouth, making you moan as his thumbs rubbed over your hip bones.
“Bloody hell,” you heard someone say from the door. You gasped and pulled away from Fred only to see George standing in the doorway with his jaw wide open. Fred’s smirked stayed plastered on his face and his grip held you tight on his lap.
“Sorry Georgie, think you can give us a few more minutes? We’re still talking.”

Kissing with Fred Weasley would include
Pairing: Fred Weasley x fem!Reader
Warning: non
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, Fred is a fan of the PDA.
So he will kiss you everywhere.
In the library.
On the astronomical tower.
In the dungeons of Snape, when you are left for punishment.
Fred's kisses are always unexpected.
But his kisses are often very long and slow.
Very sensual.
After such kisses, he usually bites your lower lip slightly.
Light and quick kisses between classes.
Passionate and long in empty classrooms or the library.
Fred likes to kiss your wrists.
And also, as I wrote above.
Fred is not afraid of the PDA.
And willingly likes to leave hickeys on your neck.
Gentle and tired kisses after a hard day.
When the lips barely touch.
When you move in with him after graduating from Hogwarts.
Fred gets into the habit of kissing you on the shoulder in the morning.
Besides, we all know that Fred is a great joker.
So giggling kisses are your most frequent kisses with Fred.

LIBRARY ADORATION - FRED WEASLEY
Tumblr media
summary: a book isn't the only thing fred weasley wants you to have
pairing: fred weasley x fem!reader
word count: 1.5k
warnings: fluff
notes: you know how much I love books and libraries. I just had to write this one. also please be aware that I haven't written anything for probably 6 months. I'm slowly getting back into it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You stood in front of one of the many bookshelves of the Hogwarts library, your eyes scanning the spines of the books. The words already started to blur; however, you shook your head lightly, focusing on the titles as best as possible.
You had abandoned your essay, which was due in two days, on a table, alongside two books that had helped you tremendously while writing it, however, you still needed one more that could help you while writing your essay.
For a few more minutes, you kept looking everywhere. You knew exactly which book you needed. One of your fellow students had told you about it. Unfortunately for you, she had forgotten in which section she had found it, hence, here you were, looking at every shelf that was dedicated to the history of magic.
“Where are you?” you whispered to yourself, rounding yet another corner to go and look at yet another shelf. This time, you weren’t alone.
In the corner sat Fred and George Weasley with their friend Lee Jordan. They had noticed your presence right away. You saw them quickly shielding their notes from you. You couldn’t help but roll your eyes slightly. You didn’t feel the need to know what they were whispering about. You didn’t care about their schemes or plans. Well, you did, but not at that moment. You just wanted to grab your book and finish your essay.
Your eyes looked at yet another couple of books until they finally landed on the one you needed the most. You took one more step towards the shelf and tried to grab the book, which, unfortunately, was almost at the top. You let out an almost inaudible sigh. Although you tried to stand on your tiptoes, you couldn’t reach the book with your hand.
You weren’t small. You had an average height for a girl your age. But why couldn’t you reach the book? Of course, you could use your wand and get it, however, your wand was in the pocket of your robe. And that robe was almost all the way across the library.
“Do you need a hand?”
You jumped lightly, and although that voice had talked to you in a whisper, you were surprised to hear it. You turned your head to the right and noticed Fred Weasley standing right next to you, a teasing smile on his lips.
The three Gryffindors must have watched you while you struggled to grab the book. You immediately felt the embarrassment and the heat that was starting to make its way up to your face, turning your cheeks a light shade of red. Another sigh escaped your lips as you nodded your head.
“Which one is it?”
“The one with the brown spine. Magic Mysteries.”
Fred nodded his head before he easily extended his arm and grabbed the book you needed. A proud smile graced his lips as he handed it to you, your fingertips lightly brushing his.
“Thank you.”, you whispered as you pressed the book against your chest, looking up into his eyes.
“No problem. Why did you need this one?”
You caught a glimpse of Lee and George, who slightly snickered behind Fred until they noticed you looking at them. They quickly looked at their notes again, pretending to write something down. You giggled lightly, shaking your head before you looked into Fred’s eyes again, a smile already on his lips. Did it even leave? You didn’t know, but you liked it that way.
“I have an essay due in two days. I’m almost done, but I still need a few more details. What about you? What are you doing?” you asked curiously.
Yes, you didn’t really care about it when you first saw them scheming something in their little corner, but you didn’t want your conversation with Fred to end so soon. You liked talking to him, always have. It was easy. You couldn’t call yourself friends, however, you were in the same house, and you greeted each other whenever you saw one another in the castle. And sometimes, you even had a conversation.
Did you have a crush on the ginger-haired boy? Yes. But who wouldn’t? Every girl in their right mind could see that the twins were two good-looking boys.
“Oh, nothing important. Just a few notes for a future project.”, Fred explained, snapping you out of your little daydream about him.
“Sounds fun?” you said, grinning up at him.
“Well, I better get back and finish my essay. Have fun. I’ll see you around.”
Before you rounded the corner, you stole one last glance at Fred, who hadn’t turned around yet, but rather stayed where he was, locking eyes with you. You could swear you saw a shimmer of red on his cheeks, however, after looking at books for such a long time, you weren’t so sure of your focus anymore.
After another hour of reading and writing, you had finally finished your essay, but before you could get up and pack everything away, you noticed someone sitting down next to you.
“Fancy seeing you here.”, you heard a male voice say.
A bright smile immediately graced your lips as you turned your head and, once again, looked into the eyes of Fred Weasley.
“I know. I swear I saw you an hour ago just behind that bookshelf over there.”, you said, both of you laughing lightly.
“Have you finished your essay yet?”
“Yes, finally. I can’t write another one for at least a week now. I can’t even focus on words anymore.”
Fred couldn’t help but laugh again. You had that effect on him. You were funny, you knew how to hold a conversation, and you laughed about all his jokes, which was one of the reasons he had started to fall for you. Of course, you were also a beautiful girl.
You saw one another in the castle every day and talked every other day, but for him, it wasn’t enough. He wanted to spend as much time with you as possible. He needed to talk to you every day, laugh with you, hold you … and finally find out how your lips felt on his.
“Can I ask you something?” Fred blurted out, a bit louder than intended. Madame Pince was instantly by your side, staring angrily down at the ginger-haired boy who only shrugged and mumbled ‘sorry’.
You giggled quietly, watching how Madame Pince walked away before your eyes landed on Fred again, who was already watching you, a dreamy smile gracing his lips.
“Go ahead. What do you want to ask me?”
To say that you were curious was an understatement. You were nervous. What could Fred Weasley ask you? Did he need help with an essay? Did he need help with his future project?
“Would you like to go to Hogsmeade with me this Saturday? Just the two of us, I mean.”
Your eyes widened; your mouth lightly opened as you tried to process his words. Fred just asked you out on a date. And he wanted it to happen this Saturday.
‘Wow’, you thought to yourself, as you nervously started to play with your fingers.
You had no idea how long you were quiet, but you could see the way Fred started to fidget. He kept staring at you, waiting for an answer.
“Yes.”, you whispered. “Yes, of course. I would love to go to Hogsmeade with you.”
The young man that sat next to you couldn’t help but clap his hands together before he stood up and triumphantly put his hands in the air.
“Fred. Stop.”, you said, giggling, taking his robe in your hands, trying to pull him down onto his chair again, but he didn’t bother. He just stood there and looked at you with the brightest smile you had ever seen on his face.
“You just made my day so much better.”, he confessed, leaning down until he was face to face with you, your eyes on one level.
You studied his face, first his eyes, then his lips, the freckles on his cheeks, until your eyes landed on his again. You knew that you were blushing again, but you didn’t care. You were beyond happy.
“I have to get going now. George and Lee are probably already wondering where I am, but I will see you later in the common room. We could discuss our date.”
The only thing you could do was nod your head while Fred sent you a small wink before he turned around and made his way out of the library.
Your heart was pounding like crazy in your chest. You felt the butterflies flying around in your stomach. You and Fred. You and Fred on a date.
Too stunned to do anything else, you just sat in the library for a few more minutes until you regained your strength and started packing up your things, already looking forward to seeing Fred in the common room.

fred weasley—the stars shine for you.
summary: hot chocolate is sweet, but fred thinks you’re sweeter.
word count: 0.6k
fanfiction no. 002
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
fred weasley was a simple man. he liked quidditch, pulling pranks, the smell of firewood, meadows, firewhiskey, hot chocolate, and you.
he was easy to please if you knew him well, but also easy to get wrong if you only presumed to know him. people often got the wrong idea, that he was easy to know because he was so confident and loud, an easy talker, but unless you asked, he didn’t say much of substance.
“hey! i brought you hot chocolate,” you beamed, walking into fred’s dorm.
the air was chilly, courtesy of autumn’s greeting, but hot chocolate always warmed you during the cold months. at this time of day, fred was back from quidditch practice and he always complained during the latter part of the year that they couldn’t practice inside somehow.
“sorry, sweets, wood’s got us training double this week since we’re against slytherin,” fred said quickly, throwing on his quidditch gear.
it was evident from the state of his sheets and his low, husky voice that he had slept between the hours of practice.
“oh.”
“sorry,” he replied, taking your head into his hands and kissing your forehead.
“well, can i at least come watch?” you asked.
fred’s eyes lit up, but he kept himself restrained as he asked—“are you sure?”
“of course,” you grinned, “i’ll just get into some warmer clothes. will you wait for me?”
“yeah, but try to hurry up. wood’ll have my head if i’m late,” he winked.
after a few minutes and an added coat, scarf and gloves, you were ready to head down to the quidditch pitch. fred had his arm around you the whole way down, a proud smile upon his face as he marched through the fallen leaves and icy air.
you climbed the stands with two hot chocolate flasks in your hands, careful not to lose your balance the higher you climbed and the harder the wind blew through your hair. the team had already begun to fly to their respective positions by the time you found a suitable seat that allowed for maximum view.
though fred was very serious about quidditch, he couldn’t help but flash you a grin or cheeky wink across the pitch when he could. when he was successful, he danced upon his broom with a wild smile that you knew he could only muster when he was truly happy. and though you were cold and tired, you stayed the whole length of his practice until fred walked off the pitch.
“stayed the whole time, huh?” fred asked, meeting you at the entrance to the pitch.
“of course,” you smiled, almost falling into his embrace, “i wouldn’t miss it for anything.”
“my little mascot?”
“whatever you want,” you agreed, “do you want your hot chocolate now? i put a warming charm on it.”
“you’re sweet,” fred complimented as he looked down at you, biting his lip to keep his grin from spreading, “gimme a kiss.”
tilting your chin up with giddy anticipation, you closed your eyes and smiled as fred leaned down. his lips were slightly chapped, having been nipped by autumn’s wind for the better part of the day, but they were his and there was nothing like them. he pushed you closer, firmer against his body by the small of your back and held you there for a moment before disconnecting his mouth from yours to take a small sip from the flask.
“delicious,” he winked.
“it?” you asked, “or me?”
“top secret, darling, you only get half the story,” he took a breath in through his teeth and threw an arm around your shoulder, “let’s head in,” he nodded toward the castle, “and get you warm.”

Lover's rock by TV girl and Fred please!! Congrats on 150!!
thank you for the request lovely! i only realized after writing that the twins are born in spring, but we can pretend they’re summer babies for my sake ;( (wc: 1.4K)
The twins’ shared apartment is wearing an unusual intimacy tonight, shadowy and warm, with every window open to let the summer breeze drift through. Your friends are in the kitchen, which is a lovely thing to walk in on.
You’re just grabbing another coke to smuggle back to Fred's room, but you linger for a moment by the fridge. It’s the week of the twins' birthday, which will call for riotous celebration later, but for now they both swear they only want a small gathering of all their best mates. Angelina, Lee, Alicia, Katie, Oliver, and you.
Pressing the cool can to your flushed cheeks, you watch them all laugh, a bit faint with how much you want to remember this moment. It’s a testament to your awful crush on Fred that you pull yourself away at all, slinking down the hall into his room again.
“There you are,” says the man himself, bent over his old record machine. “Thought the girls might’ve persuaded you to abandon me.”
“Almost,” you tell him truly. “It’s hard to get us all together like this anymore.”
“It’ll just be a second,” Fred assures you, sifting through stacks of warped vinyls. “I know it’s in here somewhere.”
You take the moment of distraction to lay yourself out atop his cool bedspread, no doubt quilted by his mother.
“No rush.”
Your change of position takes Fred’s attention, and when he finds you, he can only blink. You stare back at him, feeling shy but not quite willing to show it.
“What?”
Fred shakes his head. “Nothing.”
You watch him resume his task, enjoying the way his shoulders fill out the casual tee he’s donned. All of you have known each other for so long, and yet you can’t quite pinpoint when Fred started looking so mature. It’s like it happened under your nose or overnight, a snap of a change just as you blinked your eyes.
“You’re staring.” Fred looks up to catch you, and you can only press your lips together.
“So?”
Neither you nor Fred seem to understand if this is a defense or an admittance, but the air in the room feels all the hotter for it. His eyes flash with a mischievous impulse you’ve seen a thousand times, and you expect some witty comeback. Instead, he just holds up a flimsy yellow square for you to see.
“Found it.”
Just like that, the moment diffuses, your aching chest deflating. You’re not sure if you’re relieved or disappointed.
“Finally,” you sigh. “Put it on, will you?”
He does, gently setting it into its cradle and starting the spin. By the time the song begins, he’s halfway onto the bed.
“Alright, if you don’t like it, you’re not allowed to tell me. It’s my birthday.”
“I like it already.”
Fred sprawls out on his back beside you, a sheen of sweat on his forehead. You can feel the heat radiating off of him in waves. He shoots a smile your way, boyish and sly. “That’s my girl.”
You try not to read too far into that—Fred says it all the time, and that’s just Fred—but it’s hard with the heat and the soft music. When it comes to feigning indifference, you’re something of a professional, except right now you’re hardly maintaining a regular color.
“I got you something really good for your gift,” you choke, desperate to change the subject.
“Did you, now?” Fred is still looking at you strangely, giddy like he’s waiting for a prank to pan out. Your heart is tumbling in your chest.
“Mhm. I think you’re really gonna like it.”
“I’m sure,” he agrees, his tone dulcet. “I’d like anything you gave me.”
“Oh, come off it,” you scoff breathlessly, cracking like an egg under his attention. Fred’s grin spreads wider, his eyes melting impossibly softer.
“What? I can’t say that?”
You shake your head, truly sick of his teasing.
“No. You’re being a tosser.” Fred’s disbelief rings out of him in a belly laugh. It’s stupid to let it hurt your feelings, but your reactions to Fred have never quite been rational.
“I’m complimenting you, pretty girl.”
The nickname sends a shock of heat through you, equal parts excitement and fury. “You’re making fun.”
“No,” Fred says, and though he’s still wearing a ghost of a smile, his voice is sharp and stern. You can’t bear to look at him, painfully aware of the fact that he’s peering right into the soft center you’ve been harboring for years.
The record plays like a drama now, some sort of cruel irony in its sweeping romanticism singing behind the end of a decade-long friendship.
“I can see you creating a tragedy in your head over there.”
Bracing yourself, you chance a look at Fred. He’s pushed onto one elbow, watching you carefully, knowingly.
“Am not,” you insist.
In response, he only chuckles lightly, like it’s fine that you are and it’s fine that you’re lying about it.
“I don’t play with feelings,” Fred says, “you know that. If I call you pretty, it’s ’cause you are.”
Thinking that can’t possibly be true, you argue, “You play with my feelings all the time.”
“Or you misunderstand me,” he implies, raising his brows, “all the time.”
You blink at him, unsure what to think of that. If Fred liked you, he’s not the type to let it go unsaid. You would know. Surely you would know. Unless, of course, you’ve been a complete fool.
“Really?”
Fred nods, exasperated fondness painted over his features. “Really.”
Covering your face with your hands, you ask, “Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Darling, trust me, I tried. You were too cussed to believe me.”
It’s all too much, you can’t believe your own ignorance.
“Fred,” you whine, face flushed for every reason but the heat. He takes your wrists, encouraging your hands down.
“Look, you know now,” he assures you, though he’s still much too amused for your taste, “so you don’t have to worry.”
Your tumultuous heart seems to settle, albeit aching like it’s been mauled by a bear.
“Will you ever forgive me?”
Fred squeezes your wrists as he smiles, and you can’t believe you hadn’t seen it before—the heat in his gaze, the rapt attention. Looking back through years of hazy memories, you realize you can’t pinpoint the beginning of that behavior from him, if there ever was one. Fred has always been Fred, horribly flirty and without boundaries, and you chose to assume he wasn’t serious.
“I’ll forgive you,” he says, “on one condition.”
The pitter-patter of your heart picks up again.
“Yes?”
Leaning close, Fred says, “you have to give me a birthday kiss.”
Your lips twitch with an unbidden smile. “You’re horrible.”
“I’m horrible?” Fred asks, stilling his descent on you. “You won’t do it then?”
“I’ll do it.” As you say so, your hands skirt up Fred’s arms and shoulders to weave into his hair, pulling him closer. “But not because I want to.”
“No,” he breathes, and your senses gather him and only him, “of course not.”
Your lips touch gently, just brushing and feeling against one another. You’re trying very hard not to smile, but it becomes a laborious task when Fred inches deeper, taking your bottom lip between his. After a moment, though, he pulls back.
“One sec,” he says, and slides off the bed.
You watch him move to the record player, which is spinning around the end of the vinyl. You hadn’t even realized it stopped.
“Freddie.”
Both your and Fred’s attention snaps to the door, locking on a very smug looking George. Having no other reference for how you might appear, you look to Fred, and it’s not promising. His lips are smudged pink from your lipstick, and his hair is a mess in the back. It would take an idiot not to know what you two were doing.
Still, George doesn’t object, he just inflates his words with enough self-satisfaction to kill.
“Cake and presents soon. Try to wrap up whatever you’re doing in here.”
Just like that, he’s gone.
Seemingly unfazed, Fred flips the vinyl in his hands and starts it again.
“Shouldn’t we go?” you ask.
Crawling back up the bed, Fred settles into your space again, much closer than before.
“Not yet. Let’s give the b-side a listen.”

thank you for reading! xx

Thank you so much, lovely🥰
I'm not familiar with the reference, so I hope this turns out as you were envisioning it.
Hello Again
Fred Weasley x fem!reader
Warnings: one curse word
Tumblr media
Fred paced back and forth, pausing every few minutes to stare out the window. Almost three months had passed since he had last seen Y/N. She stood on the ramparts of the castle, blowing him a kiss as he and George flew off into the night. After that, they'd exchanged a few letters here and there, but he'd been busy getting the shop up and running, and Y/N was wrapped up studying for her N.E.W.T.S.
So, it made sense that their correspondences were sporadic and brief. At least, that's what Fred kept telling himself. But, the truth was, deep down, he worried that time and distance were pulling her away from him.
~•~
Harry, Ron, and Hermione bounced through the door with Y/N following behind, a nervous smile plastered onto her face. At first, she'd been so excited to see Fred again. It felt like ages since she'd heard his voice or melted into one of his all-encompassing hugs. However, the closer it got to their visit, the more apprehensive she grew. The letters between them in the past months had seemed so formal and distant. She knew he was busy with the shop and everything, but her paranoid mind couldn't help wondering if he was falling out of love with her.
~•~
"So, umm... this is the apartment," Fred waved around the room. After an awkward, uncertain hug, he'd given Y/N the "grand tour," and now they stood in the living room of his and George's flat.
"It's nice, very comfy," Y/N took in the room that held an old, ratty sofa that looked like one from the Burrow and a couple of rickety chairs.
"We've got better furniture on order," he commented.
Y/N nodded, turning back Fred. "It really is nice."
"Yeah, yeah," Fred stammered. "Would you, um, like to sit down?"
"Ok," Y/N replied.
"Anything to drink?"
"No thanks, I'm good."
Fred nodded and sat beside her. "So, yeah... " His words trailed off and he turned his gaze away from her. "Are we, you know...?"
"I - I don't know," she looked up at him. "Are we?"
"I hope so," he said, meeting her gaze. "But your letters were really short and kinda... I don't know..." He shrugged, unable to find the right words.
"I knew you were busy, and I didn't want to bother you with big, long letters."
Fred blinked in surprise. "You wouldn't have bothered me, love! I thought you were rethinking our relationship."
"I thought the same about you," Y/N countered. "Your letters didn't exactly instill a lot of confidence either."
"I knew you were studying for your N.E.W.T.S and I... " Fred stopped, realization dawning. "We're really fucking stupid."
Y/N snorted. "Yeah. We really are."
"I'm glad we're not breaking up," Fred said.
"Me too."
"So, umm, I was wondering," Fred began with a grin. "Can I borrow a kiss? I promise I'll give it back."
Y/N giggled. "You can have all the kisses, my love."

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I'm so sorry for being late, Professor. It will never happen again. I was stopped on the way and-", you burst into the middle of Snape's class, your bag almost falling off your shoulder while the books you are holding in front of your chest almost fall to the floor after entering the room with such momentum, your tie hanging loosely around your neck since you were just tying it. At this moment, all eyes are on you, but you can't even fully excuse your mistake when Professor Snape immediately interrupts you, his gaze unrelenting.
"Ms. Y/L/N, I'm glad you still managed to grace us with your presence today. However, I wish that you didn't interrupt my lesson so disrespectfully", Professor Snape reprimands you and looks down on you, arms crossed in front of his body. "Sit down."
Immediately doing as he says, you almost trip over your own feet on the way to your empty seat and sink into your chair next to Angelina Johnson as quietly as possible. The looks that have followed you this far still remain on you and Snape also seems to have something more to add, given the expression on his face. Waiting for him to deduct double-digit points from Slytherin, you do not move and stubbornly stare back at him.
"Besides, I didn't know you switched houses", Snape remarks, an eyebrow raised as his, and everyone else's, gaze slowly moves down to your neck. Frantically, you look down at yourself and are shocked to find that the tie around your neck does not match your usual house colors - silver and green. The tie you are wearing today is a Gryffindor one, and that can only mean..
"Sir-"
"As I already told Mr. Weasley", Snape spits out his name, gaze quickly shifting to Fred, who is sitting right behind you, making you feel even smaller. "I would much prefer you in your actual house colors", he continues, embarrassing not only you but also Fred in front of the entire class. Whispers erupt around you. Mortified, you loosen Fred's tie and feel the heat rise to your cheeks, thinking back to how you even ended up accidentally swapping your ties in the first place.
Last night you sneaked into his room illegally, staying there until the early hours of the morning before making your way back to your common room, and nobody was supposed to ever know anything about you or what was going on between the two of you. Well, at least that was the plan until today but the situation right now no longer leaves any room for speculation.
Clearing your throat quietly and trying to hide your heated cheeks, you turn to your boyfriend, who, unlike you, seems to find the situation quite amusing and holds out your tie to you with a playful grin on his lips. Hesitantly, you snatch it out of his hand while he pulls his out of yours, not breaking eye contact.
"Uh uh uh, you got it, Weasley!", comes a voice from the back corner, presumably one of Fred's friends who clearly enjoys the situation way too much as well. You shyly turn to face the front again after receiving a playful wink from your boyfriend, avoiding Professor Snape's blank stare as you wrap your own tie around your neck.
"Now that we have sorted that out, I don't want to hear any more about it. Turn to page 394", Snape instructs and thunderous rustling follows. You absently open your own book, but the words on the pages make no sense to you, your head is overflowing with thoughts about what will happen next, especially concerning your relationship with Fred.
As Snape writes something on the board using magic, your attention is caught when a small dragon made of paper lands on your book in front of you. Looking around carefully and making sure Snape is not looking at you, you open the message inside. Written on it in scraggly writing, that you can immediately identify as Fred's, is:
Don't worry about it too much, love. I can't wait to kiss you in front of everyone later ;)
Your cheeks immediately turn a deep shade of red again, but your heart also beats faster because Fred knows you so well that he immediately knew what was happening in your mind. And suddenly it does not feel too bad anymore that your secret is out. You no longer have to hide, even if you are still a bit worried about other people's reactions. A Gryffindor and a Slytherin? That is indeed a pretty unusual couple.
With your heart racing, you clutch the piece of paper to your chest and turn to your boyfriend, who seems to have been looking at you the whole time already. The smile on Fred's lips transfers to yours and when he stretches his hand across his table, you do not even hesitate for a second and place your hand in his.
"Mr. Weasley, Ms. Y/L/N!", Snape's voice suddenly destroys your moment and you sit up straight again, facing forward. "All right, which of your houses should I deduct points from now?"
And even though all the other students comment the final point deduction from both houses with displeasure, you can no longer suppress the smile on your lips. Finally, you and Fred can be together without having to hide and this is just the beginning of your story.

🔎 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 - a dare or bet trope with Fred x fem!nonGryffindor!reader
Thank you so much for requesting this!
My 1.3k rom-com night is now closed!
A Dare or a Set-up
Tumblr media
If there was one thing that Hogwarts never failed to have aside from magic, brooms and trouble - it was the parties.
Most of these parties were held by the infamous Weasley twins. A majority of people couldn’t tell them apart. But Y/N could.
The twins teased you that the only reason why you could tell them apart was because you were in Ravenclaw. But the truth is, you were able to tell them apart because you found Fred more handsome, more funnier and (probably biased) more sweeter than his twin.
It wasn’t mainly on the appearance, but the way you felt around a certain one of them.
“Special delivery!” Your best friend sat by the Ravenclaw table, brandishing a folded up parchment.
“Another love letter?” You asked, pouring yourself another glass of pumpkin juice, “Who’s it from?”
Your best friend shook her head, “It’s for you.”
You furrowed your brows in confusion, “Me?”
Your best friend nodded, “Yes. You.”
Still confused, you took the parchment from her and slowly unfolded it.
Though written in some sort of chicken-scratch handwriting, the letter was surprisingly legible. But what surprised you the most, was the fact that it was from Fred Weasley.
“What?” Y/B/F/N said excitedly, running to the other side of the table to take a look at the letter.
“It says that he personally invites me to the party this weekend and I should feel free to bring along my friends.” You whisper-shouted excitedly.
Y/B/F/N smiled, nudging you, “He’s looking at you.”
Looking up, Fred was indeed looking at you - awaiting your reaction. Once your eyes had come to meet his, he grinned.
Returning the smile, you looked back down at the piece of parchment in your hand.
“So,” Y/B/F/N said, nudging you again, “will you attend?”
“Of course.” You promptly answered, “Who would possibly be crazy enough to turn down a personal invitation from Fred Weasley, himself?”
The first thing that met you upon opening the door of the abandoned classroom was the lights.
Someone had, somehow, managed to acquire a muggle disco ball that decorated the walls with multi-color lights.
You failed to recognize the music, though, somewhat a mix of rock and pop.
Your best friend had disappeared from your side the moment the two of you entered the room, very typical of her.
Walking through the room, you tried to find her (and probably give her an earful) when you suddenly felt someone collide with you.
Both of you apologized at the same time and it wasn’t until that moment that you got a good look at the person you bumped into.
Despite the darkness of the room, it didn’t take a genius to see who it was. The red hair, the charming smile, the cinnamon and firewood smell.
“Fred.” You said, giving the Gryffindor a smile.
“Y/N.” He countered, smile still not leaving his lips.
“So, how’re you liking the party?” He asked.
You smiled, “It’s amazing! I knew you threw great parties but I didn’t know you could do all this.”
“Well, George and I do love a challenge.” Fred said.
Taking another look around, you nodded, “Looks like you and George really gave it your all.”
Before anything else could be said, you heard Y/B/F/N call out your names.
“Fred! Y/N! C’mon, we’re playing truth or dare.”
That’s how the two of you ended up in a circle with the rest of your friends, an enchanted bottle in the middle.
Truth or Dare was just a harmless muggle teenage game, right? Nothing could absolutely go wrong with this.
How wrong you were with that notion.
The bottle spun around the circle before coming to a stop, pointing towards Y/B/F/N.
A girl you didn’t recognize gave your best friend a smile, “Truth or dare?”
“Truth.” Y/B/F/N answered confidently.
“What was the most embarrassing thing you’ve done in front of the person you fancy?” The girl asked.
Y/B/F/N’s cheeks quickly turned pink at the question, “I’d rather not say.”
The girl nudged a shot glass towards her and Y/B/F/N downed it in one gulp.
The bottle was spun twice more, landing on Angelina then a guy from Hufflepuff and this time, it landed directly on Fred.
George his twin a toothy grin, “What’s it going to be, Freddie?”
The older twin grew silent for a moment, before saying, “Dare.”
No surprise in that.
George’s grin even wider, “I dare you…to kiss the prettiest girl in this circle.”
You felt the heat growing in your cheeks as Fred glanced at you.
The ginger stood up, gaze still fixated on you as he went through with the dare.
Next thing you knew, he was kneeling right in front of you.
“Can I?” He asked, voice merely above a whisper.
It was as if your brain had malfunctioned as you could voice out the answer, only managing to nod.
His lips were pressed against you, cheers echoing within the circle you were sitting in as you wrapped your arms around his neck, returning the affection with the same vigor.
No words were exchanged, only the two of you smiling at each other like the most lovesick idiots (which you were).
Y/B/F/N suddenly clapped her hands together, startling the two of you, “Let’s leave these lovebirds alone now, our work here is done.”
“This was a set-up?” You and Fred asked at the same time.
“What else did you think it was?” George chuckled.

“There’s Plenty of Kish in The Sea, Right?”
Fred Weasley x Reader Part 1
✨CATCH UP DUMP✨
Day 8 of the 13 Nights of Halloween Spooktacular!!!
Masterlist | Part 1 | Part 2
Tumblr media
(Gif not mine)
Requested? No
Summary: Cedric wants to be a champion. (Y/n) wants him to live to see the end of the school year. Freddie just wants to be (Y/n)’s boyfriend…
Warnings: starred out swear words, jealous Freddie, Angst-kinda
Pairing: Fred Weasley x Fem!Reader (you’re a Hufflepuff)
(Y/n/n) - your nickname
Tumblr media
The room was practically buzzing with anticipation. Dinner had been over and done with for what felt like ages, and yet no one had dared move from their seats. They remained, waiting. Because tonight was a big night. Tonight the students of Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, and Durmstrang would find out who had been chosen to compete in this years Triwizard Tournament.
“Calm down, Ced.” (Y/n) tried, her housemate and best friend practically bouncing in his seat, the anxiety flowing off of him in almost visible waves. (Y/n) herself was substantially less nervous, seeing as how her birthday wasn’t for a few more months and she was therefore ineligible for the event. Not that she’d have entered, anyhow. She valued her life, thank you very much. Cedric, however…
“I can’t help it (Y/n)! This is a huge deal! Finally, my chance to make something of myself… Ever since Harry got here it’s like I’m not good enough anymore and-“ Cedric ran his fingers through his hair in distress, (Y/n) frowning at his words, cutting him off with a comforting pat on the shoulder.
“Okay, calm down.” She ordered, the boy turning his body to look at her as she continued, knowing full well the true reasoning behind his nerves, and not liking his self-deprecation one bit… “Look, I know you want to make your dad proud, Ced. But, he loves you. And I’m sure he’ll love you just as much even if you don’t get chosen.” She ran her hand along his back in what she hoped were soothing circles, to which she was proven correct when the taller lad sunk into her embrace with a sigh.
“Thanks, (Y/n/n)… I suppose you’re right…” He mumbled, resting his head on her shoulder. (Y/n) chucked in response.
“Aren’t I always?” She asked, earning herself a playful shove back which had them both giggling. “You know, I’m still not even sure what would posses a person to want to do something like this.” (Y/n) noted, running her hand through Cedric’s hair mindlessly, as she voiced her thoughts on the tournament for what was quite possibly the millionth time. Previously, it had been in an attempt to talk the older boy out of it, though, more currently, it was simply out of spite, as there was nothing anyone could do once his name had been entered. Not that (Y/n) thought that out of all the names he’d get picked. Of course she wouldn’t be telling him that. He seemed so excited about it all. And it would be much easier to deal with a Cedric that was mad at the system for not choosing him than one mad at his best friend for not believing in him. No matter that the choice seemed relatively random…
Cedric just hummed, most likely to humor her strong opinions at this point, but (Y/n) didn’t mind, as she continued on.
“I was talking to Hermione and she said-“
“Shh!!! It’s starting!” Well, then…
+ + +
“Ahh the trusty old ‘stare at her until she notices you’ trick. Works every time.” George joked from beside Fred, who sent him the nastiest glare he could muster up, before returning his attention to the Hufflepuff across the room. He just couldn’t help it. She was gorgeous. Fred had been pretty much head-over-heels in love with her since they’d been paired up for potions the first day of third year. And, much to his twin brothers amusement, he’d been fairly useless as a human being around her ever since. It’s not like Fred meant to become a stuttering mess of a man every time he was within a ten foot radius of the girl. Under normal circumstances, he could flirt his way out of a jail sentence if he really wanted to. Fred was fairly proud of this fact. But, with (Y/n), it was like he was putty in her hands. And it was incredibly infuriating…
“Shove off, mate.” Fred grumbled, finally turning his attention away from the Hufflepuff table and back to the world around him when Cedric Diggory dropped his head to rest so f*cking adorably on (Y/n)’s shoulder. Fred briefly entertained the idea of a ‘disappearing’ prank on the older bloke, but, upon the realization that that was insane, opted to simply pout at the tabletop in front of him. A nudge from his other side gained his attention away from the wood grain, however, and Fred turned to Lee with a raised brow. “What?”
“You need to loosen up, Freddie. It’s one girl. What’s that muggle saying? ‘There’s plenty of kish in the sea’?” Lee offered, confusing the sh*t out of pretty much everyone present, before George made to correct him.
“‘Fish in the sea.’ ‘There’s plenty of fish in the sea’, mate.” He said, though nobody could hold in their snickers as Lee crossed his arms across his chest defensively. Even Fred managed a small smile before returning to a neutral expression (that one might consider rather downcast for the guy in question) when Lee jumped to his own defense.
“I’m pretty sure it was ‘kish.’” He argued, clearly causing George’s annoyance to grow, while Fred remained relatively unbothered. He wasn’t looking for a different ‘fish’ or ‘kish’ anyhow. He just wanted (Y/n)…
“Why the bloody hell would it be ‘kish’? What the f*ck is a ‘kish in the sea.’” George complained loudly, unintentionally firing Lee up more. Fred rolled his eyes.
“A good snog. Lip locking. Spit sharing. You know, a ‘kish.’” He enunciated his point with a loud smack of his own lips followed by a cheeky grin that probably meant he was proud of himself, for what, Fred didn’t know. That was just about the dumbest thing he’d ever heard, and he’d been sharing a house with Ron for the last fourteen years…
“You’re an absolute idiot.”
“Hey, you’re one to talk!”
“Why don’t you say that to my face, huh!?”
“You think I won’t!?”
“Get to it, then!”
“I will-“
“Shut up, you tossers! It’s starting!” Fred almost yelled, interrupting the fighting boys when he noticed Dumbledore making his way towards the goblet at the other end of the Hall. Finally. Something to distract him…
+ + +
“Cedric Diggory!”
W-what?
The table around (Y/n) felt like it was shaking. Hufflepuffs of all ages clapping and pounding on the hard wood in support of their champion. Of Cedric…
“(Y/n/n)!” And suddenly her feet were off the ground, her best friends arms wrapped around her tightly as he swung the younger girl around in his excitement, one that she could, regrettably, not join him in.
Cedric was going to compete in the triwizard tournament... The triwizard tournament… The incredibly dangerous triwizard tournament… Cedric…
“Oh my…” (Y/n) barely managed to breathe out, in complete and utter disbelief of the situation. Meanwhile, Cedric was practically glowing.
“I did it!” He spoke ecstatically into her ear as he put her back down on her own two feet, the biggest grin (Y/n) had ever seen spread across his face. It dimmed slightly, however, when he noticed her own worried expression, and realized that she did not share in his joy.
“Hey…” He mumbled, pulling her back in for another hug, though this one considerably calmer, which (Y/n) was grateful for. “I’m gonna be okay… I’m gonna win this thing. Yeah?” He whispered so softly (Y/n) wouldn’t have been able to hear him had he not been so close.
Now, she didn’t know how much she believed him, the concern for her friend eating away at the girl immensely, but (Y/n) gave him her best smile and nod anyway, knowing that all she could do at this point was support him. Merlin knows he’s going to need it…
“I’ve gotta go with the other champions but I’ll see you later, Okay?” And (Y/n) nodded again, holding her expression for as long as she could, before finally sighing in relief when he turned, and she could drop the act and allow herself to wallow in her true feelings. God, if she hadn’t been before, she surely was nervous now…
And that was all before the boy who lived was announced as the fourth champion…
+ + +
Could this day get any worse?
Fred thought not, as the current residents of the Great Hall all sprang to their feet and began chatting animatedly about the events that had just transpired. But Fred remained stationary in his seat, grip so tight on the tables edge that, had he cared, he’d be worried he might break it.
But Fred’s mind was elsewhere, going a mile a minute in just about a million different directions.
Cedric was the Hogwarts champion…
Harry put his name in the Goblet of Fire…
Cedric was all over (Y/n) when they called his name…
Why didn’t Harry tell George and I how to put ours in?
(Y/n) looked so worried when Cedric walked off to join the other champions…
Why doesn’t she look at me like that?
“You good, mate?” Fred heard George ask from beside him, but he didn’t answer. What could he say? “No, actually. I’m incredibly offended that the girl I like seems to fancy another guy, even though I’ve given her absolutely no reason to think I’m interested in her because I can’t f*cking talk to her without sounding like a complete and utter doof.” Yeah, that would be real helpful…
“Sorry, spaced.” Fred mumbled dumbly before finally getting to his feet. “I’m tired. Let’s go on up.”
Fred knew George was looking at him funny, but he didn’t have the energy to care, as the pair made their way out of the Hall, Fred, for the first time in over two years, not sparing a single glance at the Hufflepuff table…
There’s plenty of kish in the sea, right?

You stormed out the Great Hall, running through the corridors ignoring the glances other students were giving you. You stumbled toward your usual spot, your favorite tree. You liked how it lifted his branches to the sky as if his mere existence were enough to drive away the gloom and command the sun to shine on his waxy leaves. His bark glistened like the perfect type of gold, the kind that lifts the mind to dizzying heights of imagination, opening doorways to wondrous realms. It was no surprise that you went to the tree when your spirit needed to recharge; the touch of the trunk and thick branches felt like a hug from the gods above. This time, though, was different. You couldn't get the pain to go away even as you slid down its trunk into a curled position, tears flowing down your cheeks.
Your mind was filled with the echo of his nasty remarks. Again and again. Never stopping. Mocking you. Making you feel stupid. Aiming to hurt you, even if he didn’t know you were listening.
“Y/N? She’s a freak.”
“Have you actually seen her?”
“I’d rather shag Eloise Midgen, than ever go on a date with her.”
You knew you weren’t the best looking girl at Hogwarts, and you weren't going to win a beauty pageant anytime soon, but you liked to think you were passable to the eye. Perhaps you were mistaken. Maybe you needed to do more than remove your glasses and put on makeup to grab Michael Corner's attention. Or any guy’s for that matter.
As the years went by, you witnessed your friends get boyfriends, and go on dates, while you remained the supportive friend in the background, giving them advice and helping them get ready for their dates, staying in your dorm waiting for them to return, eager to hear about how everything went, wondering when it would be your turn.
You couldn't help feeling envious. Wanting what they had— a boy who stays up all night talking to you; a boy who calls you beautiful; a boy who holds your hand when you are nervous; a boy who doesn’t like you for your body or face, but for what’s inside you; a boy who wants a future with you; a boy who supports you fully, throught all your rights and wrongs; a boy who wants to have tickle fights instead of arguments; a boy who asks you how you are and check up on you; a boy who likes you without makeup on; a boy who would you anything to see you happy; a boy who cuddles you when you’re cold; a boy who doesn’t act different with you around his friends; a boy who shows you off to everyone; a boy who is proud of calling you his girl.
You just wanted someone who made you happy. Were you asking for too much? Weren’t you deserving of love?
You were tired. You were tired of crying. You were tired of pretending everything was okay. You were tired of being there for everybody but nobody being there for you when you needed them.
“Y/N?” A voice called your name. When you looked up, your puffy red tear-filled eyes met the worried brown eyes of Fred Weasley. “What happened?”
You met Fred and George Weasley in your first year at Hogwarts. You were proud to say that they were the first real friends you ever made. They kind of became your protectors, always defending you when someone picked on you and pranking them as a revenge, making everyone aware that if they messed with you, they would have to deal with them. You couldn't put into words how grateful you were to have them in your life.
If you asked Fred and George, they would tell you that you were their number one best friend and their biggest supporter. Most people didn’t seem to keen on their dream of opening a joke shop, but when they initially told you, you were enthusiastic about the idea and even volunteered to assist them develop their products.
So, certainly, you were very important to Fred and George. That’s why Fred wasn’t having any of it seeing you in such distress.
Fred tucked a strand of hair behind your ear that had fallen in your face, and he tenderly wiped your tears with his thumbs, but it was of little use because your tears kept coming like a never-ending waterfall.
“What happened, love?” Fred's voice, though mild, was commanding. You were not the type to cry for no reason. Someone had obviously done something to upset you, and he demanded a name. This individual, whoever they were, was going to wriggle in Bulbadox powder and break out in boils.
“H-he said mean things, Freddie,” you wailed. “Why did he say such mean things?” You buried your face in your friend’s chest and Fred wrapped his arms tightly around your frame, attempting to shield you from the outside world.
“Who, Y/N/N? Who said these mean things?” Fred whispered softly as his long fingers ran through your hair.
“M-Michael.”
“Michael Corner?” He asked for confirmation. He heard you reply a muffled “yes” against his chest.
You pulled away and looked at your best friend. “I wanted to ask him out.”
Fred frowned. He didn’t know you fancied anyone. And as if you had read his mind you explained, “It’s not like I have a giant crush on him or anything. I just thought he was cute and I wanted to go out with a guy.”
“Why?”
Fred didn't have many female friends. He had small chats with Hermione every now and then, and he was close to Angelina Johnson, but these friendships didn't provide him with enough information to understand why you would want a boyfriend all of a sudden, and why you would choose someone like Michael to fill the role.
You could do better than that tosser.
“Because I feel left out, Freddie. Kendra and Jeanine don’t stop talking about their boyfriends and they are always on dates and I- I want to know what if feels to be liked by someone.”
“Is that the reason you did this?” He queried, taking a look at you. You frowned, unsure of what he meant.
“What do you mean?”
“The makeup, and your glasses— where are they?”
You shrugged. “I was trying to be pretty.”
“You are pretty, Y/N. You don’t need to change to get a guy’s attention. If they don’t like you for who you are they are not worthy.”
You looked at Fred. He had these eyes that were just so warm that you could get lost in them. The kind of brown that's actually gold underneath and carries the sun’s light. Soon after meeting him, you noticed that he has two smiles. There’s his soft lazy smile, when his eyes half close. It's your personal favorite. They captivate you, and you find it difficult to look away. Then there’s the one when he finds something fine. When he laughs. The big one. The one where he slightly lifts his shoulders. Someone would think that with all of this, you'd enjoy staring at him, but instead, you just feel sadness because you know he’ll never be yours.
“Well, that’s the problem, Fred; no one likes me for who I am. I'm a freak.” You spat, using the word that Michael used to refer to you with his mates.
“That’s not true. You’re not a freak,” the ginger said defensively. Fred had never heard you speak so negatively about yourself before, and he didn't like it. “Is that what that git said?”
“Among other things.”
Fred squeezed his fist, feeling his knuckles turn white. He felt wrath take over his body, and his thoughts wandered to places where he made Corner pay for hurting your feelings, for making you feel unworthy when all you wanted was to be shown love.
He cupped your face in his hands, “You’re beautiful, Y/N/N. You are smart, witty, funny, and a great friend. Any guy would be lucky to have you as his girlfriend. You don’t need to change for that. You hear me?”
Your eyes started to tear up once more but for a different cause this time. “You really think that?” Your voice was small, still vulnerable.
Fred couldn't remember when he stopped seeing you as a friend, but it was a long time ago that his feelings for you were no longer platonic. However, he had kept his emotions to himself because he was a coward. He never imagined that his choice would backfire and result in someone else hurting you. If he had confessed, he couldn't help but wonder if you would be in this circumstance.
Maybe you reciprocated his feelings.
Maybe you would be together, and you wouldn’t be crying over Michael Corner.
“Have I ever lied to you?”
“Well—” You were about to begin recounting the narrative when he cut you off.
“You promise not to mention that ever again,” he protested, feigning indignation, which made a giggle come out of you. At this, he smiled.
“Thank you, Freddie.” You cracked a small smile, and even though it didn't reach your eyes, Fred was relieved that you were feeling better.
Fred gifted you your favorite smile. You noticed how he was still holding your face and how close the two of you were. You could feel his breath against your face, and had a perfect view of the freckles adorning his features.
‘He’s so handsome’
You were so preoccupied with admiring the boy in front of you that you didn't see Fred had narrowed the gap between you and tentatively brushed his lips against yours. You felt a swift surge of confidence overtake you and leaned forward, your lips meeting his.
You had thought about kissing Fred more times than you’d like to admit. The kiss was nothing like what you had imagined it to be. Fred’s kiss was gentle and soothing. As his lips moved slowly with yours, you felt a sense of warmth. As you continued kissing, Fred’s left hand remained cupping your face while his right hand made its way to your waist.
When you pulled away you noticed Fred’s cheeks were flushed a bright pink. “Be my girl?” He inquired. “Let me love you like you deserve.” Although the older twin exuded confidence, he appeared nervous now, as though the chances of you rejecting him were very great.
“Yes.” You smiled, and he pulled you against him again.

Her day did not start how she hoped it would. She had taken the day off, but the world had other plans. She had been called into work at 3AM, unable to say no. She told her supervisor that she absolutely had to leave before nine, but she ended up being there until a little after ten. She had rushed home after her shift. She intended on going straight to the shop, but she looked like hell. She hurried to get changed and make herself look presentable to the public. Seven hours at the hospital had left her hair a mess, and it wasn’t easy to tame. She ended up pulling it back in a braid, smoothing her hair the best she could. She didn’t bother trying to cover the dark circles under her eyes, it was pointless. She had stopped for a coffee on her way to the shop, needing as much caffeine as she could to stay awake. She hurried down the sidewalk, practically jogging. She grinned when she saw the shop, the boys really weren’t ones for anything subtle. Walking into the joke shop was like something out of a movie. It was lively from the second the twins had opened the doors. She had been caught up, not able to make it right when they opened. She found herself wishing she was here when they opened the doors. It was almost ironic how magical the whole scene was. She promised her best friends that she would be there as soon as possible. She brought her coffee to her lips, forcing herself to only sip it. If the caffeine couldn’t keep her awake, the energy in this shop definitely could. It was buzzing with life and laughter.
She smiled to herself as she looked around. Kids were running around the shop, looks of awe on their faces. Teens were eyeing candies that would definitely get them out of class. She forced herself not to shudder at the many memories of the prototypes for all of those candies, and the time she accidentally ate a fainting fancy. It took mere seconds for her to hit the ground, yelling at Fred and George when she woke up. She found herself overwhelmed by a sense of joy for the twins as she looked around trying to find them in the crowd. The shop was packed, she figured it would be. She was so proud of both of them. She finally spotted the two, buzzing around the shop, talking to almost everyone as they zipped around. She figured the twins would find her soon or later, not wanting to interrupt them as they hastled a group of what looked to be first or second years.
She spotted Hermoine and Ginny at a display of what looked to be love potions. She had to hand it to the twins, the display would easily draw anyone in. It was gorgeous. She made her way through the crowd and greeted the two girls. "What are you two up to?" She asked, picking up a heart shaped vial, turning it over in her hand. "We're just looking." Ginny mumbled, her cheeks slightly pink. She let it slide, already knowing what they were doing. She knew Ginny had a crush on Harry, and she knew that Hermoine was pining after Ron, even if she would deny it. "Well, I'll just look, too." She winked, uncorking the vial. “I’m sure they won’t mind.” She brought the vial up to her nose, freezing at the smell. Vanilla, pumpkin juice, floo powder, and cedarwood. She corked the vial, slowly putting it back on the display. She looked up to the two girls, hoping her cheeks weren’t as red as they felt. Ginny gave her a knowing smirk, but Hermoine looked clueless. “What did-?” Hermoine started to ask, but was cut off by the twins. She felt her cheeks burn a little hotter, causing Hermoine to smirk. That partially answered her question.
"Hello ladies. Love potions, eh?" The twins said in unison. Her cheeks burned as she met Fred's eyes. Oh, for merlin's sake. "They really do work!" Again,  in unison. The two girls wandered away, putting the potions back. George was quickly distracted by a group of young wizards, leaving her and Fred alone. She tried her best to avoid his eyes, hoping her blush would fade. "I'm sure you won't be needing that anyway." Fred slung an arm over her shoulder, "Glad you're here." He gave her a small squeeze. She leaned into him, fiddling with her sleeves. "Quite honestly, I might. You seem to be quite thick headed." She bit her lip, glancing around the shop. The silence that fell over them was deafening in the loud shop. “Uh, anyway, I do have to get back. I took an hour so I could come down.” She finally looked up at Fred, only to find him already looking at her. “What time are you off?” She noticed a faint shade of pink across his freckled cheeks. Maybe he wasn’t that thick headed. “6ish? I’m covering for Lottie so she can get some rest. We’ve been beyond short.” She fiddled with the hem of her sleeve, trying her best not to seem nervous or utterly embarrassed that she not-so-subtly told Fred she liked him. “We’ll be done around 7. Can I stop by?” Fred gave her a hopeful look. She fought the smile tugging at her lips. “Since when do you ask before you just show up? You know you’re always welcome.” She gently nudged him with her shoulder. “Sooo, is that a yes?”
She arrived home earlier than she thought she would, Lottie came back after a ‘four hour power nap’. She took the extra time to relax. A long, hot shower followed by a glass of wine and her favourite satin slip. She had contemplated not wearing pyjamas, but she did anyway. If it were anyone besides Fred stopping by, she would’ve grabbed a jumper and leggings, but Fred had seen her in a lot of scandalous situations over the years. She was curled up under a blanket on her sofa about to doze off when a knock sounded at her door. She reached for her wand, haphazardly flicking it, hoping it would actually open the door. She heard the door shut, followed by footsteps coming up the stairs. “I’m offended, couldn’t greet me at the door?” Fred asked, feigning a hurt tone. She pushed herself up at the sound of paper crinkling. She gave Fred a confused look, but a smile graced her lips when she noticed exactly what he was holding. “How rude of me! I didn’t know you were bringing a poorly wrapped gift.” She teased, patting the spot next to her. She watched Fred as he moved across the room. She reached out, tugging on his coat as he crossed in front of her. “Take your bloody coat off.” She murmured. A small laugh came from him. “Hold this then, bossy.” He pulled his coat off, laying it over the back of her sofa before sitting next to her. His hand clasped over hers as she went to shake the paper package. “Just open it.” He laughed. “And I’m the bossy one.” She mumbled, narrowing her eyes at him. Fred leaned back, throwing his arm along the back of the sofa behind her. She pulled the twine and began unfolding the paper. She felt her cheeks heat up when she saw what he had wrapped up. She took the heart shaped vial in her hand, turning her whole body to Fred. “You’re a bloody idiot.” She gave him an exasperated look. “Merlin, read the label, love.” He laughed. She let out a huff, looking down at the label. The original label had been peeled off and was replaced with Fred’s handwriting. The label had been replaced with a description of her perfume, the smell of her shampoo, the tea she always drank, and what could only be described as the smell of St. Mungos when you walked in the doors. “You could’ve just got me flowers.” She mumbled, peeking up at the red-haired man sitting next to her. “Or, I don’t know, asked me on a date anytime in the past two years.”
“You said you might need it.” He teased, his arm falling around her shoulders and pulling her into his side. She leaned her head against him, pulling her blanket over his lap. He pulled her closer against him. “Do I?” She whispered, turning the vial over in her hands. Fred pulled away from her, bringing his hand up to her face. His fingers curled under her chin, gently pulling her gaze to his. His thumb brushed over her bottom lip as he gave her a small smile. “If I ever say yes, I want you to force me to drink that.” He leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to her lips. Her eyes fluttered shut as she kissed him back. She moved his lips against his, reaching up to tangle her fingers into his hair. She pulled back, resting her forehead against his.

Thighs
Fred Weasley × BigThigh! Female
i literally have no idea where this is coming from after a year of writing nothing.
Tumblr media
Summary: She hates her thighs, but her boyfriend loves them, and he wants to make sure she knows.
Warnings: established relationship, self hate, body dismorphia, lots of fluff, pet names (sweetheart/baby/darling/ love), mention of pregnancy, 18+ MDNI!!
FEMALE CHARACTER HAS NO NAME, AND NO SPECIFIC SKIN/EYE/HAIR COLOUR (partly because i couldn't make my brain come up with so many details😭)
smut: oral fem recieving, thigh fucking, face sitting, unprotected p in v, praise, body worship, hickeys? idk
She looked at herself in the mirror, light makeup highlighting her features beautifully. The thin straps of the sundress hanging across her shoulders, the top resting just above her bust, not exposing much, but not showing anything either. The fabric was a light powder blue with tiny flowers along its length, and it hugged her figure perfectly. It was the perfect summer dress, upto her mid thigh.
She looked alright in her opinion, good even, but for her thighs. They were too thick, with too many stretch marks. The cellulite was dimpled and heavy, and jiggled with each movement of hers, and it truly disgusted her with herself. She was okay with her body, and honestly thought she was attractive when she was dressed well, like today, but her thighs were always the problem.
Gritting her teeth in annoyance, she flung open the door of her wardrobe that she shared with Fred, and picked out a different dress. It was a pale pink one, loose and long, and extended beyond her knees, hiding her biggest insecurity. Still slightly grumpy, she completed the finishing touches to her look, when she heard her boyfriend's voice from the door.
"You ready love?" Fred called out, leaning against the doorframe.
"Yeah. All done." She smiled, grabbing her purse and slipping on her sandals, before walking towards the handsome man. He was dressed in a white tank top vest and blue jeans, and a blue and white floral shirt wrapped around his broad shoulders, completing the summery look.
Fred held out his hand to her, and she delicately placed her much smaller one into his, and he gently pulled her closer to himself. Placing a tender kiss on his lips, she smiled up at him, admiring his beautiful eyes and perfect freckles and his signature Weasley hair that she loved so much.
Fred's eyes trailed down her body in admiration, before he turned back to meet her eyes with a puzzled look.
"You didn't wear that dress?" He asked sincerely, hoping to finally see her in it since she had been so happy buying it weeks ago.
"Not in the mood." She lied, and he nodded convincingly, though he was anything but convinced by her answer.
"Gorgeous, never the less," he said, complimenting her as he always did.
"You more," she smiled, kissing his cheek.
Since buying the dress, it was the only thing that she had talked about. She gushed over how her bag and sandals went perfectly with it, and how she'd style her hair whenever she'd get the chance to wear it. And now, she stood there, wearing something else, and Fred was sure there was more to it than she was showing.
They hurriedly locked their place and apparated to their destination, Lee Jordan's housewarming party. It was just a close knit celebration that he and his girlfriend, Andrea, were hosting together, since moving into their first appartment in London.
She blended quickly among the known faces, smiling and chatting with all their old friends and then joining Andrea and Angelina in a small tour of the appartment. The entire party then ended up in the living room, and she, along with Fred, George and Angelina hopped around their circle, enjoying the little reunion they were having with the entire gang from Hogwarts.
Fred couldn't help but look at her. He always thought her to be the most beautiful woman in the world, and himself to be the luckiest man in the world, to be able to call her his girlfriend. He loved looking at her hair, her soft makeup and her smile, but today it wasn't as big as it always was, and he knew it wasn't as real, and it physically hurt him to not know the reason for it. He was sure it had something to do with her dress, because every time someone complimented her tonight, there seemed to be a bit of hesitation before she uttered her usual 'thank you'.
She'd been saving it up for some 'special occasion', and as soon as Lee had called to extend an invitation to the party, she had been delighted at the idea of getting to wear it the way she had wanted. Fred was happy that she was happy, and now she wasn't, and he didn't know why.
It was nearly midnight when the party ended, and Fred and George finally bid goodbye, ready with their plan to spend the next day together at their shop, as per usual. She hugged Angelina, and then got hold of Fred's hand and apparated them back to their front door. Fred unlocked it and hung the keys in their spot as she headed back to their room to change into her pajamas. The feeling of her thighs touching each other under the dress made her want to throw up. She felt disgusting in her body and she just wanted to cover herself from head to toe and bury herself quietly into the blankets.
Her expression must have given it away, because Fred walked into the room right as she took out her pajamas.
"Hey," whisper into her ear, kissing her neck softly, and his hands circled her waist. "Don't change just yet, love. I haven't had the chance to admire you properly tonight."
"The dress is a bit uncomfortable", she replied, trying to stop her voice from breaking.
"Just a few minutes, please?" He requested, and she complied, twisting around in his arms to finally face him. His eyes were so full of love for her that it nearly made her cry, and when he leaned down to press his lips to hers, a stray tear managed to find its way down her cheek.
"Baby what's wrong?" He asked, gently wiping the tear away.
"Nothing, just tired," she lied.
"Why didn't you wear that dress today?" He asked again, and she repeated her previous answer of not being in the mood to wear it.
"Don't lie to me," he condemned softly, and she knew she was caught. "Tell me love, why didn't you wear it?"
The singular tear that had made its way out of her eyes was now followed by many more, and before she knew, she was a sobbing mess in front of her boyfriend. Fred pulled her into himself and comforted her, his hands gliding over her back and just letting her know that he was there, and he would be there forever.
When she had finally calmed down, Fred gently guided her over to their bed, and sat down, as she stood before him with puffy and swollen eyes. He slowly pulled her onto himself, making her straddle his lap and resting his hands across her back.
"What's the matter Princess?" he coaxed, pressing a kiss to her forehead. "It's something about that dress isn't it?"
She breathed in deeply, contemplating weather she should tell him or not. Of course she can tell him, he's Freddie, her Freddie, and he'd always understand.
"Ihatemythighs" she blurted out in a single breath, only to find Fred looking down at her, amused.
"Try saying that slower baby? I'm not that smart," he joked, earning a small smile.
"I hate my thighs," she said finally. "They're fat and ugly and they move around a lot, and that dress reveals them too much."
"Don't say that darling!" Fred said seriously, upset over what she'd just said about herself. "I've seen you try that dress on and you looked gorgeous!"
"Those trial room lights make everything look good, but I look horrid in that dress." She said.
"Do not say that about yourself," Fred scolded. "You're the most beautiful woman I've seen, with the most beautiful body and the most beautiful thighs. I won't hear anyone talk like that about you, even if you're the one saying it."
"You'd obviously say that, you're my boyfriend," she reasoned.
"I'm not lying sweetheart, I swear. You don't have to be insecure about anything." He said, only to be matched with a blank look from her.
"You don't believe me." He stated in disappointment, settling his hands over her thighs, through her dress, his fingers steadily moving towards the hem. "Can I?" He asked cautiously, not wanting to make her any more uncomfortable. She took a deep breath before nodding, allowing him to flip it up and run his fingers on the smooth skin.
"I love you. Every thing about you is perfect. You've got the most beautiful face, and I can't stop looking at it. Your eyes, your lips, your cute button nose," he said, leaning in to peck it. "I love your hair, and you look gorgeous when you leave it down. I love your neck, and that tiny freckle on your collarbone." He buried his nose at the base of her neck, breathing her scent, and nibbling gently.
"I love your boobs, and I can't stop thinking about them when you're not around, and your bum too," he smiled cheekily as his hands trailed up her thighs to gently squeeze her ass, and then returned to their previous place. "I love your arms, the way they wrap around my neck when I kiss you. And those damn hands, those fingers, could very well be the death of me." He smiled, kissing her exposed shoulder, and then her upper arm a few times.
"And your stomach is so soft darling. I love just looking at it, thinking if someday you'd let me put a baby in there?" He smiled, earning back a smile and a nod from her. "Your pussy, baby. I'm not even going to say anything, because you know she's better than drugs. And I love your legs, especially when you show them off in pretty skirts and dresses. I love it when you wrap them around me and pull me closer when I make love to you."
"So pretty," he whispered, caressing her thighs, barely audible. "Such beautiful thighs baby, so soft. I want to bury myself into them right fucking now."
"Freddie, please" she whispered back, not even sure what she was pleading for.
"Can I baby? Please?" He said, running his fingers over the smooth skin, and she nodded without thinking.
Fred's arms looped around her back, holding her tight to himself as he stood up and turned them around. He gently lay her down on the bed and got on between her legs. Leaning down to kiss her deeply, he whispered praises to her, making her feel so loved.
He kissed her neck and collarbone, leaving a few stray hickeys, and then pushed the straps of her dress aside to show the same love to her shoulders. Looking up at her for confirmation, he slipped her dress off her body and tossed it away in the room.
She was there now, in nothing but a pair of panties, and she could feel her usual confidence seep back into her body. She reached for Fred and pulled him back in, kissing him passionately and lovingly. Her hands fisted his shirt and pulled it off him, soon followed by his tank top vest, leaving his torso as bare as hers.
"Hmm that's how I like it," he encouraged into the kiss. Soon enough, he moved to her breasts, biting and sucking, and the room was filled with her moans. He kissed his way down to her panties, and she lifted her hips to let him pull them down. He placed her legs over his shoulders, and she shut her eyes in anticipation.
Instead of going right to her clit, he began to kiss and caress her thighs. "They're so pretty sweetheart. Why would you ever dislike them?" He whispered, teasing the skin with his teeth. He licked up the length of her left thigh, but stopped short of where she needed him. He began to suck and nibble the flesh there, drawing moan after moan from her throat. Soon enough, he was repeating his actions on her right thigh, and she was getting hornier by the minute.
Finally, his tongue reached where she wanted, and her eyes rolled back into her head at the feeling. Her fingers found themselves intertwined in his hair, pulling and tugging each time he did something more pleasurable than he'd done previously. Her walls had began to clench around nothing, and the pleasure she felt was too much to hold back. She was so close to her climax, moaning Fred's name, at the edge of bursting, when Fred stopped his actions and pulled away. Groaning, she sat up to face him, as he smiled through his slick covered lips.
"Sit on my face," he demanded with a grin.
"What? No." She said breathlessly.
"Please baby, it's not something that we haven't done before," he reasoned.
"But my thighs are really big and you..."
"No buts, come on!" He said, lying flat on his back, waiting for her to climb onto him.
Still not very sure of the idea, she positioned herself, but didn't put any weight on him, choosing to hover over his face instead. A blush crept up her neck and made its way to her face at being so spread out in front of him.
Fred smiled and licked a stripe from her entrance to her clit, and her head hung back at the feeling, as he picked up right where he had left off. Seeing her pleasure, his hands caressed her ass, before he pulled her onto himself entirely. He moaned at the feeling of being between her thighs, and began eating her out with even more enthusiasm than before.
She was so lost in her pleasure that she forgot her insecurity and began grinding down his face once his tongue entered her, and her moans were reciprocated with his own. She was coming in mere minutes, and it was probably the one of the best orgasms she'd had.
As she came down from her high, she shifted back from his face, sitting on Fred's chest now. His eyes were drowsy and his face was covered in her slick, as he smiled up at her. She immediately felt something hard behind herself and instantly reached her hand out, unzipping his jeans and letting her hand slide under the waistband of his boxers to reach his dick. Fred groaned in pleasure when her hand brushed against his sensitive tip, and instinctively jerked his hips forward.
"Don't," he grunted, almost sounding pained. "I won't be able to hold it in."
"Then don't hold it in, Freddie." She smiled, leaning down to kiss him, moaning at her own taste all over his mouth. She quickly whispered a soft "I love you," only for him to hear.
"Want to fuck you baby," he said. "Please."
She let go of him at his request, and climbed off him. Her hands busied themselves with getting rid of his jeans and boxers, as he lay on the bed watching her. As soon as he was completely undressed, he sat up, and then proceeded to get off the bed, much to her confusion. He walked over to ger dresser, hurriedly tossing everything off it onto the chair next to it. He came back towards her then, offering his hand to her, and she took it, following him off the bed.
"Going to fuck your thighs today, baby." He declared, "Need you to know how much I love them. Is that okay?"
She nodded, letting him sit on the sturdy wooden table, with his back against the mirror, and stood right between his legs. One of his hands rested on her waist as he finally took his length in the other and guided it to her slit, rubbing it through her wetness and letting his head fall back against the mirror in pleasure. She had enough of his teasing now, so she quickly took matters into her own hands. Her fingers pulled away his own from his dick, and she wrapped her palm around him now. He let her take the lead, both his hands clutching onto her waist, and holding her in place. Spreading her hickey covered thighs a little, she guided his tip through the gap. He thrusted forward in relief, and he brushed perfectly against her clit, giving her just as much pleasure as him. His head now rested on her shoulder, and his moans went straight into her ears, turning her into a complete mess.
It was slow at first, since they had never tried this before, but once the pleasure built up, Fred's thrusts became more confident and sure, until he was close enough for them to become sloppy once more. She was just as close, her clit throbbing with each stroke against it.
"I'm so close baby," he whispered hoarsely. "Where do you want it?"
"Inside Freddie, please!" She replied, barely able to keep her eyes open. He immediately pulled her onto himself and she was straddling his lap now, her hand guiding his tip into her warmth. She sat down as soon as the tip was inside, completely sheathing him, and burying her face into his chest.
"So warm love. So good." He moaned, thrusting up into her mercilessly.
"You're so big Freddie. Could never get used to you," she said back in her state of complete haze. Her walls fluttered around him, and he connected their lips, his tongue intertwined hers as she came hard. Fred followed seconds later, his moans swallowed by her as their lips remained connected, and his warmth coated her insides.
She once again buried herself into his chest as they stilled, her arms in their rightful place around him, and his softening dick still inside her. He held her close to himself, warm breath fanning her back as his head rested on her shoulder.
"Baby?" He whispered after a few moments of silence, and his voice was laced with his usual mischief.
"Hmm?"
"Do you like your thighs yet? If not then I'd love to try again."

Summer was supposed to be a time of freedom, long nights, and recklessness and there was nobody else who knew this more than Fred and George. Unfortunately for them, it appears that their summer was going to be nothing but seeing the inside of that damn coffee shop. Fred and George rarely ever regretted a prank, but right now, they were starting to think that perhaps slipping Malfoy that candy that made his skin turn Gryffindor red and his hair a golden snitch gold wasn’t worth this. It also taught them that when Malfoy said his father would hear about this, he actually means it - sometimes.
However, no matter how funny the prank was and how much it was worth all the time they spent planning and agonizing to create the final product, it was not worth this. Not worth the wrinkled fingers that lost all feeling after wiping down every single table and counter in the cafe. Not worth the skin of the heat from the coffee machines. Not worth the horrible experience of dealing with customers. Not to mention uncomfortable uniforms. Forced to wear black jeans, black dress shirts, and a ratty old apron ten other people wore before them.
While George grumbled everyday, hoping and wishing for their return to Hogwarts (something nobody expected to hear), Fred’s summer was not a complete waste. He did not realize this when they applied for their job, but this coffee shop tucked into a hidden alleyway of Diagon Alley was often frequented by a rather pretty girl. In her flowing sundresses, her hair cascading down over her shoulders in soft waves. When he first saw her his knees nearly gave out. Then when she turned to leave (lemonade in hand - it was a hot day) and he caught a glimpse of the white ribbon tying her hair into a half-up, half-down style, George had to catch him because his knees did give out. She looked vaguely familiar to him, but he couldn’t exactly place her.
“She’s in our year, a Hufflepuff,” Hermione had told him one day when she and Ron had visited them. They were out gathering ideas for a present for Harry. “She’s quiet, likes to stick to her routine but doesn’t shy away from new opportunities. She’s in my book club and study club. She has such a beautiful voice but she thinks it's horrible - that’s why she is so quiet.” She revealed after Fred pressed her for more information.
Unfortunately for Fred, he has yet to hear that beautiful voice since he never seems to be on the cash when she comes in or someone beats him to it - usually George as a form of twisted amusement. “Hermione was right. She does have a beautiful voice.” George blinked after the first time he took her order. It was later discovered that the reason she hates her voice was because some Slytherins had poked fun at her in First Year, leaving her with an ugly taste in her mouth and horrible self-confidence. Fred could wring their necks, every last one of them.
Anytime Fred had any downtime, he found himself thinking of her. He knew nothing of her but, yet, she consumed every thought and every dream of his. Such as today. It was a horribly humid and dreadful day. Every door to the coffee shop was open, a cooling spell was placed on the shop but it was barely fighting against the stickiness, and the owner even found some muggle fans and set them up. It was slow, barely anyone wanted to leave their houses and if they did, they surely couldn’t even think about sipping on a coffee - even one of their iced ones since the ice would probably melt before they even took their first sip.
But here was Fred, elbows digging into the counter as he hogged one of the fans. His back was facing the entrance as he moved with the fan which was oscillating. George was in the back, doing work back there but Fred was sure he was just sitting in front of that fan. “Bloody hell.” He groaned, pinching his shirt and pulling it away from him. This was torture.
“Excuse me,” A soft, hesitant voice called to him over the rattling of the fan, startling him. Turning around, his eyes widened when she saw who stood at the counter. Hair pulled up into a high ponytail, bangs hanging around her face from where the shorter strands fell out of the ponytail. Even looking right at her, he saw the ribbon she usually wore in her hair. Today’s was a pretty yellow shade, matching the sundress she wore. It was a pale yellow, nothing that jumped right out at you. “Could I get a large lemonade?” She asked him, blinking sweetly as she rolled up to the balls of her white converse. That voice. He was blown away. He was never going to be the same after hearing that beautiful sound. How could he go on with his life knowing that that voice exists and he isn’t hearing it every second of everyday.
“Yes, of course,” He nodded, rushing to the counter, nearly tripping over himself. “George, can you make a large lemonade?” He yelled out back as he typed away on the till. Instantly, George emerged, a large lemonade in hand.
“Here ya go, Y/N. I knew you would be wanting one of these today. Made it once I heard your voice.” He winked at her and Fred contemplated murdering him right there. He actually considered it when she giggled at his twin, but the sound made him stop. Everybody said her voice was the most beautiful sound, which he could agree with all his heart on now that he heard it, but her giggle. Just thinking about making her laugh made him want to lay on his stomach on his bed and kick his feet like Ginny does whenever Harry says hi to her.
“Thank you, George,” She smiled thankfully, holding out her hand. Almost as if under a spell, Fred reached his hand out, palm facing up. With her sweet smile turning to Fred, she dropped a handful of sickles in his palm. Her fingers brushed against the palm of his hand, sending shivers and sparks running through his nerves. “That’s enough for the lemonade and ten sickles for you guys to split for a tip. Thank you, Fred.”
The shock sent to Fred’s system was immense when she said his name. She knew his name. She knew his name. He opened and closed his mouth as she turned on her heel, her skirt flaring up adorably, her ponytail and ribbon flaring up as well and off she went into the dreadful heat, making Fred’s day so much better.
____
It was a rush. Possibly the biggest rush Fred and George have ever experienced at the shop. The queue was running out of the door. Perhaps everyone just now realized that summer was coming to a close and just now decided to emerge from their lazy, hazy, summer daze to enjoy the days. This, of course, made Fred miserable.
Instead of enjoying their time, patrons were making their lives a living hell. And for what? Amusement? What was the reason he had to get yelled at by a man because his coffee was too hot to drink? He questioned if it was possible that these people got some sort of happiness from throwing adult hissyfits and yelling at underpaid, overworked employees. Did they have some sort of odd kink? Did it fill a missing void? Whatever it was, Fred quite frankly did not want to be part of it.
However, when he saw that shining face in the queue, her nose buried in her book as she read so intently. She wore her hair down aside from two locks of hair tied back into a braid, secured by a light blue ribbon today. When he saw her, he froze for a moment. He couldn’t take his eyes off her. The way the sun burned through the dirty windows (that seemed to have fingerprint smudged permanently tattooed on it) and hit her like a golden spotlight. The way her finger absentmindedly stroked the cover of her book as she read.
“Excuse me,” The customer in front of him barked. He jolted back to reality. Frankly, he already was in reality since Y/N was completely gorgeous. There was no fantasy about that. She was perfect. The fantasy was that she had feelings for him or at least thought he was cute. “Did you get my order?” The man, a short, plump man with an angry red nose despite the beautiful summer day they were having, grumbled.
“One medium coffee. Would you like that iced or with anything in it?” Fred asked the normal questions, bracing himself for the normal response he usually received from people with certain mannerisms.
The man’s nose seemed to get even more red. “Of course I don’t. If I wanted it another way, I would have ordered it another way. What do I look like? An idiot? Rowena, you kids these days, needing to have things iced and sweetened. Whatever happened to the good British taste? Black coffee. That is what I want-”
“That will be 3 sickles, Sir.” Fred read the total off, noticing how Y/N glanced up, rolling onto her tiptoes to take note of what was taking so long. He wanted to get this nasty old man out of his line so that she could get on with her day. Her day shouldn’t be wasted in this shop waiting in line.
“Here, keep the change.” The man basically tossed the sickles at Fred. Four sickles.
“Some change,” Fred whispered under his breath, putting three sickles in the till and dropping one in the communal tip jar. That naked a total of five sickles in tips. “Have a nice day, sir,” Fred faked a smile as the man waddled off to the pick-up area, barking at George to hurry up. “I can help whoever is next.” “Two people until her.” Fred thought.
“Hi, could we get two lemonades? Mediums please,” The teen girl giggled, eyes staring up at Fred sweetly. Fred nodded, writing the order down and sliding it along the counter. Harrison, the manager, grabbed it to start making it. “So, we’ll be seeing you at Hogwarts in a couple of weeks, right, George?” She asked with a bat of her eyelashes, still getting his name wrong despite his name tag being basically eye level with her. He could see Y/N look up from her book, snickering slightly behind her book.
“I’m actually Fred. And yes. That will be seven sickles today.” Fred read off their total, holding his hand out for their money.
“Oh, sorry. You both are so handsome, it’s hard to tell you apart.” She flirted with a wink, dropping exactly seven sickles in his hand.
“Have a nice day,” He nodded to them as they wandered off with linked arms to bother George. “Next please!” He just needed to take care of this one customer and then she would be at his cash. Evidently, she noticed this as she was tucking her book into her bag and pulling out her coin wallet. He watched her intently, somehow managing to take the customer’s order and recite the amount of money he needed.
He watched as she counted the sickles she had pulled out before pulling out two more coins before doing some math in her head. He could tell since her eyes flicked around and she used her free hand to wiggle her fingers as if counting on them. “Have a nice day.” He wasn’t even sure what that customer ordered, but he must have done it right.
And up stepped the person he was waiting for. Y/N stepped up with a bounce, smiling brightly at him. He wanted to faint right there. There she was, standing there and it overwhelmed him so much that his nervous system was going haywire on him. “Hi, Freddie!” She seemed to have gotten much more comfortable. She was more bubbly and talkative with him and his brother. She even started to call them by nicknames. It warmed Fred’s heart to the point it might burst.
“Hi, Y/N, what can I get for you today?” He asked, trying to calm his racing heart and malfunctioning nervous system. He was in fight-or-flight with the secret third option: faint.
“Just a large iced coffee. I am trying to finish off the last book on my book club’s summer reading list and I decided I might as well change up the scenery.” She explained, her voice much more even and comfortable. Not the same reluctant, soft voice she had when she first talked to him. And if he thought that voice was beautiful, then this voice was perfect. Alluring. Charming. Cute. Marvelous. Dazzling. Delicate. Stunning. Splendid. Gorgeous. Lovely. Any synonym there was for beautiful because this voice was so much better.
Before he could even tell her the total, she handed him the sickles she had counted out prior to the interaction. She always did it. “Three sickles for the iced coffee and how many for the tip?” He asked, knowing exactly how she worked things.
“Fifteen. Five for everyone who worked today,” She smiled as she rolled up to the balls of her feet - something he found that she did often. The line was gone aside from her and part of Fred wished it would stay away so she could stand there talking to him, but unfortunately someone walked in. “I’ll leave you to it, Fred.” She smiled at him. It appeared sad and part of him hoped that she felt upset about having to part from him.
He watched her walk over to George who held her coffee out to her. Sharing pleasantries, she headed off to one of the many tables. Taking her normal table by the window. “Alright boys. I am heading out, I’ll be back in two hours to close it down.” Harrison told them. That was most likely the last rush of the day. People didn’t tend to frequent the coffee shop near close. They gave him nods as he left.
Thirty minutes and they hadn’t stopped. Anytime they saw a lull coming, once they served one customer, two more would come. Just as Fred turned his back, taking a deep breath as the attack stopped, he heard the approaching footsteps of someone. He wanted to roll his eyes and outwardly show the resentment he had felt, but he didn’t feel the same hostility he had felt with the last few customers. Part of him should have known why before he turned around, but sometimes he isn’t always on the ball.
As he turned around, he was pleasantly shocked to see Y/N standing there at the counter again, her head down as she inspected the wet patch on her blue sundress. After a few seconds of silence, she looked up, hand hovering over the patch on the center of her torso. “Hey, Fred, again,” She smiled, a bit awkwardly as she didn’t usually come up after she got her order unless it was to say bye to the boys (something rather new after she got comfortable with them). “Do you think I could get a napkin? That last customer who left kind of knocked into me a bit and I got the last bit of iced coffee on me-” She cut herself off as Fred reacted without thinking, grabbing the back of his brother’s black shirt and ripping it off of him.
“Here you go, Y/N.” He handed it to her. Shocked, she took it from him. George just stood there, blinking at his brother as if he had gone completely mad. Fred considered this a sign that perhaps, working nearly every single day of the summer had made him cracked in the head. Slowly, looking at the face Y/N was making, he came back into his body. It was as if seeing Y/N in need made him go into autopilot, doing whatever he needed to to resolve the issue Y/N was facing.
“Fred, what in Godric's name?” George questioned, still a bit shocked that his brother completely ripped the back of his shirt off, leaving just his sleeves and the front. It was silent as the three of them all looked at each other, trying to make sense of the situation. Fred couldn’t even remember his brain telling him to do that, let alone any thought of ripping his brother’s shirt.
The silence was broken by the sweet giggles of Y/N. Fred nearly gave himself whiplash turning his head to look at her. There she stood, on the other side of the counter, one hand holding the tattered shreds of George’s shirt, the other one hovering over her mouth as her giggled turned into laughter, eyes crinkling closed. “Oh my Helga,” She pressed her lips together, her purely magnetic eyes opening and meeting Fred’s with a zing being sent through Fred’s body like electricity (which this summer, he discovered was pretty dangerous). “I needed that, Freddie. That guy who bumped my arm as a complete arse-” Fred blinked, that might have been the most foul he had ever heard her talk, though Hermione had told him she had said much worse about some of the guys in their year. “You know exactly what to do to make people laugh, it’s an amazing gift,” She nodded at him, a large smile hanging off her lips. “Thank you, see you at Hogwarts if I am not in next week.” She whispered as she rolled onto the balls of her feet.
Before Fred could react, she was pressing her lips against his cheek. Her sweet looking lips felt even sweeter against the now burning flesh of his freckled cheeks. He knew that now he felt her lips, he wasn’t going to be able to stop thinking about how they would feel against his own lips, but right now his brain was empty. He couldn’t function as she pulled away, heels crashing to the ground. A bashful smile stayed on her lips as she waved to the pair of them, Fred so far gone he barely even registered the fact that her lips were no longer touching him - probably due to the fact that the tingling he felt was still there.    When he finally came back into his body again, Y/N and her bashfulness had left with her book tucked under her arm for almost five minutes. Blinking around, Fred saw the basically empty shop, the only person lingering being someone who had been there for two hours now. Looking to his side, he felt George’s “what the hell” look before he saw it. Winching, nervous about his brother’s wrath. “Sorry about the shirt, George.”

Slytherin sunshine
They say love makes people blind. Blind to what, exactly? To the love interest's flaws? Or to the world around you to the point where you sometimes can't keep up with what's happening around? The second one in Fred Weasley's case.
To the boy's misfortune, love could surprise him in the most inconvenient moments. In fact, love was what made those moments inconvenient, awkward.
It was really amusing to Fred's twin brother and friend. The both of them couldn't suppress the urge to laugh when they saw him trip over his own feet. Why? Simply, because Fred's eyes were fixated on a particular girl.
"Mate, I swear you could not notice and fall off of a cliff because of that Malfoy girl," Lee said, helping Fred get up from the ground.
George didn't help. Instead he laughed, "He would straight jump off of a cliff if she only asked him to."
The three friends stood silently for a few seconds, looking at the girl. She was sitting on a windowsill nearby, surrounded by a few of her friends.
Y/n Malfoy didn't quite fit a stereotypical description of a Slytherin student. She never talked to Fred outside of class, he barely knew her, but he noticed how kind she is to people around her. She liked to help younger students find way to certain classes, she liked to help her friends with their homeworks. She laughed a lot, she had a beautiful smile. She was too much of a sunshine to be a Slytherin.
Y/n was friends with two Hufflepuffs and a Ravenclaw. There wasn't a single Gryffindor in her friend cycle, but that was probably because Gryffindors never trusted Slytherins. Even if Y/n seemed like an embodiment of a ray of sunshine, it could all be a facade to trick enemies, right?
"She smiled at me though," Fred beamed.
"She smiled at what her friend said," George put his hand on his twin's back, "as much as I love and support you, I don't think you have a chance."
"Yeah," Lee added, "I don't think she would choose a random Gryffindor over a bloke she's been friends with for the past 4 or 5 years."
Fred opened his mouth, but didn't talk. Then a thought passed his mind, "If she was going to date him, she would have done it a while ago. They've been friends for ages."
The next lesson was getting closer, so Y/n got off of the windowsill. She and her friends got going to the next class, they had to part ways. Y/n hugged each of her friends and got on the way to Potions classroom.
The girl walked past the Weasley twins and Lee Jordan, in fact they had Potions together. She looked at Fred and smiled, gaining a smile back from the boy.
Just a second after she walked by, Fred got his both sides nudged by George and Lee.
"We should get going too, you know?" George said. "We have Potions now."
"Oh, Potions!" Lee exclaimed. "Our Freddie will have some time to stare at his girlfriend!"
Fred chuckled, "She's not my girlfriend." Not yet, at least, he added in his thoughts.

"I can't believe you fancy Malfoy's sister!" Ron's voice sounded a bit too loud through the Gryffindor common room. He caught everyone's attention, but nobody seemed to be surprised. Did they all know already? Was it that obvious?
"I didn't choose to fancy her, okay?" Fred argued. "It's love, it happens!"
It happens, that's exactly what love does. It happens and you don't even notice, then one day you realize you've fallen hard.
"She isn't that bad," Hermione chimed in, "I hung out with her in the library a few times, she's nice actually."
"As nice as Draco?" Ron scoffed.
Hermione sighed and decided not to pay attention to Ron's comment. "So when are you going to ask her on a date?"
"Well...someday. For sure." Fred replied shortly.
Asking Y/n on a date was on the list of things Fred was going to do, definitely. He thought about it many times, he made up scenarios in his head before falling asleep. The problem was, until that moment he didn't realize it will actually have to happen. Fred saw it happening in the future, but didn't pick a particular day, particular moment.
"Don't tell me you're not going to do it. You didn't have a problem with asking Angelina to the Yule Ball last year."
"Angie is just a friend and Y/n is...she's something more, no offense," Fred gave an apologizing look to Angelina.
"No problem," the black haired girl joined the conversation, "personally, I think you should ask her out as soon as possible. I support you in it even if she's a Malfoy."
Fred looked at her a bit confused. "What do you mean by as soon as possible? Why?"
"Because there's been a rumor that Adrian Pucey has a thing for her as well..."
And that was when Fred decided. The day was coming to an end, so asking Y/n out would be the first thing he does in the morning.

She was there. She was in the Great Hall, eating breakfast, not knowing she's about to get asked out.
When was the right moment to do it? Fred couldn't just chime in while she's eating, that could be awkward. He could wait until she's done, but it made him look a bit creepy.
"At some point, this can be marked as stalking," George laughed, patting his twin on the back.
"Has anyone else noticed?"
"Uhhh, probably? You're sitting here, not even touching any food, your eyes glued to that one girl. Totally not suspicious."
However, Fred couldn't engage more into that conversation. His eyes caught Y/n standing up from the table, so he did the same. George and Lee were saying something, joking about the situation, but Fred didn't pay attention to their words.
The way from the table to the door of the Great Hall seemed to last kilometers in the boy's head. Thousands of scenarios ran through his mind, some with good and some with bad outcomes. He would never know, if he didn't do what he was supposed to do, so he didn't wait anymore.
"Hey, Y/n, I want to talk to you." Fred said, stopping the girl by the huge door. "Like, alone."
Y/n blinked a few times, processing his words. Then she looked at her friends and told them she'll meet them later.
Y/n recognized Fred, him and his twin brother were the biggest troublemakers in Hogwarts. The girl found their pranks very amusing, even those they pulled on her younger brother and his group of friends.
"What is it?" She asked.
Fred walked Y/n further from the door of the Great Hall. He wouldn't mind if someone heard that, even if he was going to get rejected, he just didn't want to block the door.
"The thing is...you probably don't know me, but I, but-" the boy stuttered, he couldn't find the right words. He used to have a plan in his mind, but he forgot it. Fred had to improvise, "I like you. I know, I know what you think, it's probably weird because we don't know each other, but I like you, I-"
"Fred," the girl giggled, "I know you, we have some classes together. Not to mention you and your twin pull the best pranks."
"Oh, you know my name."
Fred scolded himself in his mind. Why was he acting like that? Y/n made him feel so anxious, stressed. Fred wasn't acting like himself.
"Yes, I know your name. Honestly, I didn't think you'd like me, I'm a Slytherin and you're a Gryffindor. You know how it is."
"Yes, yes I know. That's why I wanted to ask you about something, but I wasn't sure about it. I was just wondering if...I mean, that's okay if you say no, but do you...would you..."
Y/n smiled at how silly the situation was. She made sure to make this smile look friendly and genuine, not mocking.
"Do you want to go on a date?" She asked before Fred managed to stutter out the rest of whatever he was going to say.
"Me?" Fred questioned. "I mean, yeah, yes, totally."
"Great. See you right here at 4 pm?"
"Yes, that would be great. See you."
"Alright, have a nice day until then."
Y/n gently placed a kiss on Fred's cheek. Then she walked away, leaving the boy speechless. His heart was beating so fast and he was sure his face is all red. If George and Lee hadn't appeared next to him and shook Fred out of the trance, he would stood there probably until 4 pm.
