What happened in Hong Kong last night (21.07.2019):

Gangs indiscriminatly attacked citizens (pregnant woman, reporters, former reporters, legislative council member) on the street, in train station, on train, and inside of a shopping mall.

People got hanged up by the 999 (HK's emergency call number).

Police came (1 hour after the first emergency call) but made no arrest.

While in the other side of Hong Kong, police fired rubber bullets to demonstrators.

HONG KONG IS IN DANGER.

【The Battle for Hong Kong - Hongkongers’ Urgent Appeal to the World】

Today (19th August), our open letter is published in 11 newspapers in 10 different countries.

We are calling on the international community to stand with us, #Hongkongers, as we confront escalating violence by the Hong Kong Police Force and the Hong Kong Government.

Hong Kong has been devastated by countless humanitarian disasters in the past 70 days.

The tragedies that took place on and before 11th August remains fresh on our minds; the brutal attacks and arbitrary arrests by the Hong Kong Police Force to suppress dissent have sparked our anger.

The recent collaboration between FreedomHKG and @StandWithHK aims to expose all the crimes committed by the Hong Kong Police Force, including their blatant abuse of power, unlawful arrests and apparent violation of the “United Nations Convention against Torture”.

By doing so, we would like to raise global awareness of the inhumane treatment towards protesters and civilians alike by an oppressive regime in a supposedly civilised city and we humbly ask for your continuous support for our movement.

We'd like to invite all our friends to spread the open letter far and wide with hashtags #FreedomHK #StandWithHK & #antiELAB. Bear witness to #Hongkongers’ fight for freedom and spread the word for us––esp. when we can no longer do it ourselves. #HongKongProtests

香港網路社群「連登」日前在網路發起眾籌在全球登報，在反送中的社會運動當中，將香港警方暴力執法等亂象，以設計精良的廣告刊登到全世界的報章上，今日（8月19日）在10國11份報紙上廣告曝光，接下來還會陸續刊登至30日，共計18份報章上刊登廣告。

　

自從台灣的太陽花運動募資在紐約時報刊登廣告，成功引起國際社會關注後，此後亞洲的社會運動經常使用募資的方式籌措經費，在世界各國主要報章刊登廣告，祈求國際輿論關注。台灣在這方面可說是亞洲民主運動的先驅！

　

從6月9日反送中遊行以來已過2個月，遊行的動能不因時間消減，反而更見持續長久，李小龍的「be water」精髓已深深烙印在港人心中並身體力行。世界對香港人印象不外乎「效率」、「務實」，甚至有些功利主義，但我們在這樣的社運事件上看見更多的是港人不屈不撓的毅力！甚至香港的藝術設計美學因這龐大的動能震盪輻射，爆炸出讓人眼花撩亂目不暇給的文化火花。

　

本次由香港網路社群連登發動網友募資，在全球各地主要報章刊登廣告。為求保護義務設計廣告的設計師身份，因此這些設計得十分動人、有力的平面設計，我們無從得知究竟是誰設計，但你仍能從當中看見這些設計師們絞盡腦汁，為符合各國平面設計美學標準努力創造出不同視覺，進而吸引該國人民注意。比如說瑞典的廣告設計是讓人印象深刻的瑞典國旗黃，而西班牙似乎也是使用國旗的紅黃色印象來設計廣告，不過黃色同時也有警戒的意義，紅色更是直接讓人聯想到在這幾次活動中，因警民衝突而造成的流血事件。

　

刊登在日本經濟新聞的視覺則服膺日式美學，黑白對比象徵香港民陣與警黑，簡單暴力直指人心！一枚催淚彈擊中已破碎不堪、即將崩壞邊緣的雞蛋，讓人聯想香港現況之外，也呼應村上春樹2009年到以色列領獎致詞時說的名言：

　

「在高大堅硬的牆和雞蛋之間，無論高牆是多麼正確，雞蛋是多麼錯誤，我永遠站在雞蛋那邊。」

　

願台灣永遠沒有需要選擇究竟是要面對高牆或是成為雞蛋的那一天。

七月二十一日，本港黑社會有組織，無差別地攻擊鐵路裡的平民，警方完全袖手旁觀，引起社會極大的譁然。

　

香港警察不克盡保護人民的職責，反以暴力手段，攻擊追究警方失能的市民。毆打，濫捕，使用催淚瓦斯攻擊主要鐵路站。以槍械射擊急救人員頭部，無故拘捕路過市民，無視私隱翻查個人手機資訊，插贓放置武器於市民背包再予以拘捕，放走斬傷市民的黑社會暴力份子。

　

市民已成為警隊主要打擊的對象。香港政府以及警隊已經失控，香港陷入人道危機。

　

香港以自由安全為聞名，卻在中國的統治下，墮落至目前景地。曾以其專業而愛護市民聞名的警隊，在中國長期的滲透，洗腦與改造下，腐化成憎恨市民的違法暴力集團。

　

這是對自由世界的重要警號。

　

中國過去幾十年，滲透自由世界各國。而最終的結果就會像香港一樣，無聲無息地失去自由，當大家覺醒時，已身在一個到處被電子器材監視，警黑合作聯合統治市民的警察國家。

　

中國征服香港之後，就會繼續將他們的統治方式擴散出去，他們復興他們東南亞極權王朝的美夢，也是自由世界與現代文明的噩夢，香港已活在這噩夢當中。

　

雖然我們已有不少死傷，也有大量的市民被拘捕，但我們香港人，亦為自己能夠為自由世界當前鋒，而感到光榮。

　

只要讓人類不再應該再回到集權的統治，我們所留的血淚足以值得的。

　

給台灣人的話

　

台灣的諸君幸好有你們，長期挺身對抗極權的軍事威嚇，經濟壓迫與外交孤立，才留下了一點自由的燈火，為我們這黑暗的時代，留下一點希望。

　

你們的總統提出願意對我們施以援手。我們非常的感激，我們不會忘了這雪中送炭的恩義。

　　

朋友們，請務必提防中國的滲透，加強你們的國家安全，他們會收買你們的政客，他們會安插人員進你的政府，他們會以生意脅持你的企業家，他們會分化你們內部，他們會利用你給的自由與平等，他們會迷惑你的人民使他們對極權統治有不切實際的幻想，使他們對於民主自由失去信心。

　

這一切，都只是為了統治你們，一定要盡力避免此事發生。請你們看看香港，這就是他們統治的結果，不要被甜言蜜語所迷惑，他們許諾安穩和繁榮，最後只會給你暴力與失控。我們身上的傷痕就是證據，請留意我們這裡發生的一切，我們正以鮮血，預演被中國統治的未來讓全世界看到，請讓我們的血流的有價值，把這些畫面，盡可能地傳達給每一個沒留意的人。

　

特別要留意我們的政府人員，親中議員及紀律部隊成員，他們不少對北京已死心踏地，如你們所知的，他們曾在台灣進行跟蹤偷拍活動，我們為有此敗類像臺灣人道歉，我們建議臺灣相關部門果斷處理他們，或禁止其入境，防止他們來臺進行間諜活動，保障你們國家安全，任何效忠北京的香港人，對於我們香港人只是叛徒，我們不維護。

Alert: Boycott Cathay Pacific

Recently, Cathay Pacific, HK's top-of-the-line airline, got a new CEO who fired 14 employees, including at least one janitor, for their anti-government Facebook posts. This essentially means that they now have chosen their stance on the protests, and it is to the establishment.

This also means that HK's freedom of speech is depleting, and it is going down fast. I hope that this post does not get me in trouble.

一開始的時候，示威的主旋律是撒回逃犯條例修訂。

6月12日，政府定性一場大致和平的示威行動為「暴動」，激發了200萬人在該周末(6月16日)上街。政府仍然不願聽取市民的聲音，反而容許警方使用過量武力。

這場運動的訴求就由原來的撒��條例修訂，再增加了四項，包括徹查及追究警方使用過度暴力、釋放被捕人士、撒回暴動定性、落實公平公正不受北京操控的選舉制度。
