(Amber Freeman x fem! reader)

Summary: After joining a discord server, you meet a girl... Warnings: (+18), smut, oral, fingering, blood, violence, injuries, characters are 18+ (English isn't my first language, I'm sorry if there are mistakes or if something doesn't make sense TvT)

As far as you could remember, you had always been a horror movie fan. Halloween, Friday the 13th, Saw, The exorcist, Stab... you enjoyed watching these movies. Recently, you had even joined a discord server for Stab fans.

It was really fun talking about these movies with people you knew liked them as much as you did, and it felt nice sharing your passion with others.

There were only two rules in this server: 1. If you were to make video calls, you would all wear Ghostface costumes and masks; and 2. Never, under any circumstances, say your name.

At first you thought that was weird, but it was a matter of safety. Stab fans were considered crazy after what happened in 2011 -and other side events.

Keeping your identity secret had become a must, if you didn't want other people online to hate on you and/or accuse you of crimes.

Fortunately, in the server, no one seemed to have a problem with the rules. And neither did you.

Until that day.

There was this girl on the server, with who you had been talking to in private for some months now. You may or may not had developed a little crush on her.

She was so nice, and it was so easy talking to her. You had the same opinion about almost everything too. But you didn't tell her. What if she thinks I'm weird? you thought.

You were currently on call with her, and the fact that you lived in Woodsboro just slipped.

"Wait- you live in Woodsboro? Me too! Maybe we know each other? What about we meet in real life?"

"I- We're not supposed to do that... Remember the rules? No personal information, so identity reveal or whatever..."

"Yeah, yeah, I know. But you trust me, right? 'Cause I know I can trust you"

"Of course I- I trust you but-"

"Well if we both trust each other, why not meet? It's better talking face to face, don't you think? Plus I'm dying to see what you look like. I'm sure you're super pretty"

You blushed at her words, and stuttered a quiet ‘okay’.

Two hours later, you were waiting in front of the high school, nervous. What if she didn’t like you irl? What if it was awkward? What if-

"Y/n?"

You turned around as you heard your name.

"Amber…?"

You couldn’t help but stare at her. She was gorgeous. The most beautiful girl you had ever seen.

"It’s so nice to finally meet you!" she started "And I was right; you’re really pretty"

You spent the whole day chatting and laughing together. There was definitely chemistry between you too.

"That’s my house" you said softly

You were a little sad your time with her was already over, you wanted make it last more.

"Oh, okay… We’ll meet again, right?"

"Yeah, of course! I’d love to!"

You smiled at each other, and waved goodbye, before you started making your way to the door. But you couldn’t just go like that.

"Amber I-" you started as you turned around

Before you could finish your sentence, her lips were in yours, soft against your own. It took you a second to register what was going on, but soon you were kissing back.

Amber pulled away after a moment. Her lips were inches away from yours, her eyes not leaving your own. Then she leans in for another kiss, more passionate.

Her hands were on your waist, keeping you close, as her tongue slipped past your lips. You made for a while, before running out of air.

When you pulled away, you could see that her lips were red and swollen, and so were yours.

"Maybe we should continue this inside, hm?" Amber said with a light smirk

You blushed and nodded, before trying to open the door. Your hands were shaking a bit in excitement, and Amber being flush against your back, arms around your waist and kissing your neck didn’t help.

Eventually you managed to open the door, and as soon as you closed it behind you both, you got pinned against it, Amber’s lips back on yours.

As the kiss grew more and more feverish, you felt her cold hands sneak under your shirt, and going up to your ribs, stopping right under your breasts.

"Is this okay?" she ask in between kisses

"Yes" you hummed in response

Before she could go any farther, you pushed her slightly away.

"Wait- let's go to my room"

You grabbed her hand and led her to your bedroom.

She grabbed your wrists and pinned them above your head, before tying them to the headboard with her belt, making sure it's not too tight.

Then, she sat up and looked down at you, biting her lip.

"Look at you; so pretty all tied up under me..." she whispered, brushing your cheek softly

She leaned in to kiss you once more, her hands sliding down to unbutton your jeans, before going back up to play with your now hard nipples. Again, her lips dipped down to your neck, where she sucked angry red marks.

This, and your nipples being rolled between her fingers made a series of moans leave your throat. You wanted to run a hand through her hair, but with her belt around your wrists, you couldn't move at all -which turned you on even more.

Your eyes flutter closed when you felt her lips wrapping around one of your nipples, and her tongue running over it, before she started sucking gently.

Your back arched slightly as you moaned her name, encouraging her to continue.

"I was thinking... Maybe we could do our own Stab movie? Or at least do things to give the producers better ideas. What do you think?"

"So let me get this straight; you want to kill your friend to force her sister -the daughter of Billy Loomis- to come back here, and then kill everybody and blame it on her?"

"That's the idea" she replied, visibly excited "Are you in?"

You sighed and shook your head.

"What wouldn't I do for you, huh?" you smiled and cupped her cheeks to place a soft kiss on her lips "Are you sure we have to kill Tara though? She's my favorite out of all your friends... And if she dies her sister won't necessarily come back"

"You're right! So we just attack her then. Or I just attack her, I don't want to force you into hurting/killing people. I'll do the killing, and you'll make the calls if you want" she offered

"I don't want to let you do all the dirty stuff..."

"Don't worry about that, baby"

She smiled and kissed you again, this time pushing you into the mattress, unbuttoning your jeans and slipping a hand into your underwear with a smirk.

"I don't mind doing the dirty stuff"

Surprisingly, so far, everything went as planned; Amber attacked Tara, her sister cam back to Woodsboro, and the killing spree was continuing. The only thing that wasn't planned on was Sam's boyfriend, but he was just another pawn to kill.

"You ready babe?" Amber asked, adjusting her mask "I kill Judy and Wes, and then I'll go to the hospital to attack Tara and you"

"Don't forget to slash my arm -not too hard if possible!"

You helped her, and pressed your lips at the top of the black mouth of the Ghostface mask as a good luck kiss.

Once again, nothing went wrong. Until the moment where Amber was supposed to slash your arm.

When Tara saw Ghostface behind you, you turned around, just as planned, and lifted your arms up to 'protect' yourself. But instead of feeling the blade on your arm, you felt it sink in your stomach.

Your eyes widened, and you tried to kick her away, a hand on your wound to stop the bleeding.

Why did she do that? you thought, grabbing Tara's wheelchair to head to the elevator. That's not the plan!

Before you could reach it, you got thrown into the nearest wall, hitting your head hard against it.

The shock had the world spinning around you; you struggled to stand properly.

Ghostface took that opportunity to make Tara fall of her wheelchair and was ready to stab her when Sam and Dewey arrived.

You were waiting for Amber to come to the hospital after a nurse called her to warn her you had been hurt. You had so many questions.

When she finally arrived, she looked concerned, worried. She wrapped her arms around you in a tight hug.

"What happened?" she asked

"I don't know, you tell me. You were supposed to slash my arm, not stab me in the stomach...!" you whisper-shouted

"It wasn't me, Y/n..."

You blinked, and pulled away to look at her, confused.

"Fuck you mean it wasn't you...?"

"I couldn't make it to the hospital in time, my car broke down... I never would've hurt you baby..."

She hugged you tighter after saying this.

"If it wasn't you... there's another Ghostface in town..." you whispered

"That's a bad thing for our plan..."

"Not necessarily... If they get caught, we can get away with the previous killings. The police will think they did it too... And we'll be out of suspicions!"

"Yeah but what about our big finale...?"

"Well have to pass on that, I'm sorry my love... But think about it, we'll be the first Ghostface to have survived!"

"You're right baby, both of us living is better than having our ending"

She smile and placed a gentle kiss on your lips.

"Who do you think it is?"

"Hm... It can't be Tara, that's for sure. I don't it's Sam either, or Chad"

"So that leaves Mindy and Liv..."

"And Sam's boyfriend, don't forget about him"

"You’re right, I don’t like him. He didn’t give me a good vibe"

You nod at her words.

"What do we do now? Do we still throw the party?"

"Yeah. If the other Ghostface is a Stab fan too, he’d never miss the occasion to recreate the og party in Stu Macher’s house"

Amber drove you to her house and you both got ready for the party. You had already stolen Tara's spare inhaler when you were in her room before being attacked, so you were sure she would come to Amber's.

And as expected, half an hour after the party begun, Sam, Richie and her came. Your girlfriend dismissed everyone else, and led Tara upstairs to look for her inhaler, leaving you with Sam and Richie.

Mindy was in the living-room, you heard her talk to Liv a few minutes ago, and Chad should be near too.

Sam received a phone call, and Richie walked towards the living-room. You decided to follow him, pretexting you had to rest.

"I'm gonna get some beer, anyone wanna come with me?" he asked after you sat next to Mindy

"No, but you were right to ask!" she replied, her eyes not leaving the tv screen

So he went to the basement alone while you stayed with Mindy watching Stab. When the scene of Randy being attacked arrived, you felt a shiver run down your spine.

While Mindy was busy screaming at Randy to turn around, you looked behind you, just in case.

Ghostface was behind Mindy, ready to stab her. You pulled her away from the knife right before she could get hurt badly, but her shoulder got slashed anyways.

You both screamed, hoping to get the others' attention while you tried to fight the killer. He managed to corner Mindy. You grabbed the lamp next to the sofa and slammed it on his head.

He didn't seem to like it, and punched you in the stomach, reopening your wound. You grunted in pain and pressed a hand on your bleeding stomach.

You were about to come at him again when Sam entered the room, scaring him away. You looked at each other and rush to Mindy, to make sure she was okay. She lost a lot of blood and passed out in Sam's arms.

A scream behind you made you jump. Amber and Tara just came downstairs. Sam opened her mouth to say something but got cut off by a sound of glass breaking; Richie was back, and just dropped his beers.

"Oh my god!" he said

"Where were you?" Sam asked him

"I was getting mor beer!"

"You went to the basement alone?" you girlfriend asked

"I asked them to come with me and they said no!" he replied, gesturing toward Mindy and you

"I was with Tara, and Y/n was with Mindy but the rest of you were wondering around. One of you is the fucking killer!" Amber spat

Liv suddenly barged into the room, looking panicked, hands covered in blood.

"Why is there blood on your hands?" Sam asked her

Liv looked down at her hands and seemed even more panicked.

"I- I found Chad..."

"Chad?"

"He's... he's..."

"You're the killer...!" Richie said

"No I-"

She looked at everyone in the room, seeking support, but neither of you knew if you could trust her.

"I'm not the fucking killer!" she finally yelled

"I know."

You all turned to Richie as he pulled out a gun and shot Liv in the head.

You felt someone grab your hand and drag you away as another gunshot resonated in the room. Amber pulled you upstairs, to her parents' room.

"Are you okay? God, you're bleeding again..."

She started looking for something to bandage you up with, but you stopped her.

"We don't have time, we need to kill him before he can do his speech about his motive, or he'll say that he didn't do the first killings..."

"But-"

"I'm okay, I promise" you reassured her "Let's just make it quick and I'll be fine"

She looked at you hesitantly for a second, before nodding and coming back next to you to place a soft kiss on your lips.

"What do we do now?" she asked

"Do you know where your dad hides his gun?"

Fortunately for the two of you, Sam stabbed Richie to death before he could say anything about another killer, after Amber shot him in the chest.

You made it to act 4, just like Jill Roberts 11 years ago. But you weren't going to screw everything up like she did, no.

And that's how you became the first Ghostface to get away with it, to make it to act 5.

Prompt: Day 1 - Folklore

While I couldn't exactly call The Legend of Sleepy Hollow folklore exactly, I would say it's one of the oldest, most iconic, and certainly my favorite horror story from American literature.

So naturally I made an au where Alfred is the headless horseman. It's an idea I've been sharing in discord servers for years, but never did anything with. That's now changed, and it's something like this:

Arthur knows full well Alfred is going to win the revolutionary war. The knowledge smarts, but that's not what bothers him. He's irate that Alfred's grown a penchant for lopping off the heads of English soldiers. Alfred's going to win the war, but he's not stronger than Arthur. Not yet, and he'll never see his own victory. Arthur takes Alfred's head to remind the boy who exactly he's dealing with. Carving a face and performing an incantation on a pumpkin to give Alfred a new head? That was all spite. But the world has changed and so has Arthur. Anger and spite have given way to guilt, because without his brain....Alfred's kinda stupid. Exceptionally so. He doesn't have an ounce of malice in him. He's not interested in lopping off heads anymore, he just wants to race whoever ventures into his stretch of the woods. Sweet and stupid, and he still loves Arthur. So every Halloween, Arthur comes to visit until one fateful visit, with his wife in tow, Arthur comes to visit bearing a gift...

Didn't Wanna Feel Older in 2024? TOO LATE!

So long, 2023! You have been a weird-@$$ year to say the least. Between by having to repair old thumb drives, purchase a new printer, finding out I'm susceptible to anxiety attacks, trying out dating for the first time, getting my Discord and Steam account hacked, starting a new Discord server since said account was never unhacked, opened myself up to commissions, managed to post art for Halloween, got Covid, summoned more Kaijus to play an elaborate game of poker, and had a merry enough Christmas. Here's hoping 2024 will prove better. At the moment I have no new goals, since I just want to relax after four months of constantly being active. There's a mile of books, movies, and TV shows I need to get caught up on! My opinions on all of them will be given in future Giraffe's Eye Views, but for now let's get to what you all came here for: yet another unnecessarily long list of things celebrating major milestones this year!

You all loved it when I did this last year. In fact it got more attention that anything else I posted, including the original art I put way more effort and time into. Nah, that didn't sting at all. Seeing my sketches get ignored is so much fun. Passive-aggressive joking aside, I do still love making these lists, so let's get started with some major stuff this year.

Thanksgiving wasn't too long ago, so why not mention that the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade turns 100 this year? I know, that's insane! Watching this festive event has become a seasonal staple in my house and is the only reason I've ever signed up for Peacock. Thank goodness in all those years it hasn't been smashed by a giant monster.

Godzilla turns 70 freak'n years old this year! How crazy insane is that? Here's hoping his old age won't slow him down when he teams up with King Kong this April. Even if it does, Gojira will continue being cinema's coolest character!

Contrasting with the King of the Monsters, Mary Poppins turns 60 years old this year. This movie, considered to be Walt's last masterpiece, has aged considerably well even after all this time.

Oh yeah, and Mickey Mouse enters the public domain this year. Still not entirely sure how that works, but whatever. What I do know is...

Hex Positive Status Update

Hello, witchlings!

As I'm sure you've all noticed by now, the podcast feed has been dark since September. For this, I apologize. I had some disruptive life events happen unexpectedly, and then they just kind of...didn't stop happening. I'm okay, Ragnar is okay, Havoc and Penny are okay, our families are okay, things have just been pretty consistently bonkers since Labor Day.

The result of all this is that I haven't had the time, the spoons, or, for a couple of terrifying weeks, the voice to produce new episodes of Hex Positive. I had been planning to put the podcast on hiatus following a special Halloween episode, since I wanted the time to focus on finishing my new book, but then....Life Intervened. A Lot. And the episode did not get made. And then I blinked and it was November. For this too, I apologize.

So what's next? The short answer is "a long break."

I fully intend to return to Hex Positive because I have lots more to share, but there are a number of things that need to happen first. Chief among them is that Ragnar and I are moving into our first house (no one is more surprised than we are) and it's going to take us a few months to get settled. I'm toying with the idea of making videos of the witchy things I do to set up a new household. Don't want to make any promises, but keep an eye on my YouTube channel, since that's where they'll likely show up if they get made.

I may put out some Patreon content on the main feed to tide everyone over, if I can find ten spare seconds to Do The Thing. In the meantime, there's still a good-sized back catalog you can listen to and share with your friends and neighbors, and I do encourage everyone to revisit their favorites whenever you might need a boost.

I will still be available through my social media, though posts will be intermittent at bet, and I'll be at the Krampusnacht Holidaze Market at Gallery5 and the Yule Witch Market at Diversity Richmond in Richmond VA this December. If you're on the Nerd & Tie Discord server, I'll be popping in there with updates from time to time as well. Happy 10th anniversary to my beloved Free! fandom. When I was struck down by a fever in late 2017 and decided to watch the anime, I had no idea the ways the fandom would influence me. So since @rinharumemories is a memory event, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to finally write a love letter to the fandom! 💙❤️

After my fever-inspired crash-course, Free! fell out of my head for a while, but Rin never did. The following year, I watched a cosplay tutorial for him on YouTube and decided to watch Take Your Marks. I saw The Bench Scene. Suddenly I had an OTP!

My first-ever rinharu friend, Rubi, encouraged me to write fic and kindly beta read for me! I was neck-deep in anxiety at the time because of another fandom and Free! was refreshing. My anxiety was so bad that she actually screened the comments on that first fic to make sure I could read them without spiraling.

I found more shippers & joined the Sakura Pool discord, where I would meet my dear SweetHeaven! Su & the other friends I made there helped shape @ficwip's early days as a hashtag game, and (along w/friends from SPN & VLD) were some of our discord's initial members.

When I was designing the ficwip discord, Aenya was kind enough to share tips for role-based channel permissions & let me pick her brain about modding a year-round space! Her advice was invaluable, an absolute lifesaver. 🙏🙏🙏 

Around this time, through the original #ficwip game on Twitter, I met fellow writer @matsuoka-lin and we got to be friends. (During the pandemic, Lin would join the ficwip server and we would recognize our Aquarius bond ♒)

Late into 2018, I was still writing rinharu fic, and I also participated in Inktober, with a good number of the images being rinharu themed. It had been years since I’d drawn, but those two brought it out of me. Sadly, that December, the VLD finale hit during my very first @rinharuweek and launched me back into the VLD fandom for a couple of years. I never finished my RHW '18 entry. But I never forgot Free! or rinharu, and definitely not Rin, who was my profile pic more often than not. 

Flash forward to 2021. Su won a fic giveaway & prompted me to write a rinharu amnesia fic. I worked on it across 11 months. That awoke my muses, and I ended up writing rinharu hanahaki for @ficwip's 5k!

Last August, I was days away from announcing a fandom-wide SPN event when I recalled my dream of a rinharu bang and mentioned it in passing to Lin. We talked for eight hours straight. By the end of the conversation, @thenightpool had been born. 

We started TNP with the humble goal of five participants in our first event, a mermaid-themed fic & art fest. We had months to prepare! Then something happened with FS2 and we scrambled to launch a Halloween fest that we pulled off thanks to incredible contributors. They formed the foundation of the TNP discord, which is set up a lot like ficwip’s to be a year-round little creative community. We’ll actually be launching our own version of fw’s writing retreat weekends later this month! 

The merfest, which got renamed Unleashed Blue, blew past our expectations — as did Sakurathon, a dormant event that we revived for a weekend in April. UB ended up with 52 entries; we’d hoped for maybe 15. Sakurathon was such a success that we rescheduled it immediately. Right now, we have a prompt meme running, and have events scheduled through 2024! 😅 

In addition to @thenightpool, we’ve formed @iwatobievents to promote events across the Free! fandom. And we’re running events there too, for Nagisa and Soumako. Because what is sleep!! 

So the TL;DR is that the rinharu fandom helped give @ficwip life, has inspired me as a writer and artist, led me to my best and dearest friends, and will make a big dream come true later this year: I’ll finally be running a rinharu bang! 💙❤️

And I still have a Rin Matsuoka icon.

HELLO havent been here in ages have we so ive been messing around with blender for a couple of weeks and decided to finally render something completely from scratch and taking part in halloween edition secret santa event on small discord server was a great opportunity to do so! This one is for Alntrula

Im a complete noob in blender and all i did ever was trying some yt tutorials. Not easy when you began with CAD like things and switch to geometry nodes... but i started to see the pattern in modeling, undertand some basic shortcuts and how the program works. So at last I knew what I was doing, what i was looking for and it made the workflow so much more pleasing! I planned my time for every step from sketching the views, to modeling, texturing, armature and rendering and it did help me learning from tuts and take the work goals one at a time. Heres the sketches in 2d and akjsndkj I WAS ALREADY HYPED so MUCh

Happy 5-Year Anniversary!

Hey folks! 5 years ago to the day I posted my first ever homebrew creation for the masses to enjoy (or ruthlessly tear apart), a little brew I lovingly called The Goo of Primordial Chaos. It would be fitting to have gone and reworked it for such an occasion (it certainly needs it), but alas, I haven't. I could have, and I've tried a few times, but honestly I don't really know what to do with it. So, I'm just not going to, and it shall remain a relic of the past and a reminder of humble beginnings.

Other than that, I have nothing special planned to celebrate, at all. So instead, I'd just like to take a moment to look back at my time here and take a trip down memory lane.

2018-2019

When I first got started doing homebrew for the Foundry, I hadn't been doing it for very long. Hell, I hadn't been playing 5e for long either. But inexperience didn't stop me from taking a stab at it. At the time, I had boundless creative energy and all the time in the world. I committed to doing one brew a month and that came pretty easy. Most of what I was making were conversions of other things, so they were easy to churn out at a regular pace. But I did quite a bit of original stuff too. The Medic was my first ever released class, and my Hellraiser supplement kicked off my now yearly tradition of doing a big project for spooktober. Around that time, I started a Patreon and got my first commission in the Awakener class. The first version of my Mourner was also released. I also hit 2k followers, which is insane to me still. Oh yeah, and I totally tried to jump to another platform when Tumblr became a dumpster fire for a bit. Forgot about that. Other than that, pretty good for my first year!

2019-2020

Kicking off my second year, my Corpseweaver class was released for Halloween, which is still one of my favorite things I've made. For much of the year I was still going strong with monthly releases and even putting out some pretty big projects. But the biggest project I put out that year, or at least the one that took the most effort, was a commission for John Carpenter’s The Thing. It was around this time that I started kicking around the idea of opening up commission to the public, not just my patrons. Spoiler alert, I shouldn't have. I also hit 4k followers that year. Still wild.

2020-2021

This was a huge year, but things did not begin well for me. The year began with Flesh and Bone, my Necromorph supplement, which was an utter train wreck. That monstrosity came together in a panicked 3 weeks after October blindsided me and was the first time I had ever tried to make a custom style for the Homebrewery. The mad dash to meet a frankly arbitrary deadline yielding a worse brew started to show the cracks in my process and was an ill omen for things to come. I kept up the monthly releases for a while longer, and put out some great stuff in that time if I do say so myself, but in July I hit a wall and just couldn't do it anymore. Since then, I've had a “post it when it's done” policy, and I don't intend to change that. I also stopped taking commissions from patrons after getting super overwhelmed and not handling it as well as I should have, BUT then proceeded to start taking commissions from the public. Other notable events included changing my name from 5e Foundry to Foundry Fabrications in an effort to expand into other games, not just 5e, I updated my logo to fit the rebranding, and I started a Discord server that burned hot, died fast, and is a desolate wasteland now. Otherwise, it was pretty much business as usual.

2021-2022

Year 4 began innocently enough, aside from the cultural faux pas regarding a certain Native America spirit that shall not be named that I later had to apologize for. Other than that, it was pretty much business as usual. But then in April came my crowning achievement. After 6 years of development, I finally released my Engineer class! I still can’t believe that this thing I've been wrestling with for years is finally real and for all the world to see. Kind of hard to top that

2022-2023

Another year, another spooky project, this time a much-needed rework of my Corpseweaver. And all was great, for a time. But then January rolled around and WotC dropped the shitstorm of the century on us with the whole OGL debacle. I, like a lot of people, did not take very well and went so far to abandon everything D&D, a rash decision I still regret making, even if I did come back to the game I love so much. But I bounced back pretty easy and jumped right back into making stuff, not that I’ve released much this year. But that’s future talk! We’re here to reminisce!

So yeah, that’s my history here in a nutshell. If you’re still here, thanks for listening to me ramble. What a wild ride it’s been, and I’m so glad I could have you all at my side and along for the journey. Thanks for sticking with me for 5 years, and here’s to 5 more! As always, stay safe, don’t forget to love each other, and I’ll see you all again soon.

he announced earlier that next year he's gonna push me more, and i was like ? wat? why? and he was like i think we're both undersocialised atm and i was quite annoyed by this and also a bit hurt bc i feel like that's more untrue in the past 6 months thn it's been sice the pandemic (and maybe before - bc most of our friends now are people from discord we ended up becoming irl friends with)

maybe *you* feel undersocialised ben but *i* actually find basically all social activities something to endure rather than enjoy

also don't forget that ana is my soulmate and I feel very happy just hanging out with them and Ben

i feel like he has still this shark feeling of gotta keep moving or ill die :) like he is doing much better than he was from sept-nov but yeah i think he doesnt need to make that an Us problem lol like i dont share that feeling at all lol like if you want to do more things than i do you can do some stuff separately, and some stuff with me! as is normal!

i did feel quite frustratedand annoyed with the way he brought it up , which he did apologise for later bc he agreed we're doing the right things etc and he didnt really mean he wants to push me MORE just that he doesnt want to BACKSLIDE. which is fine i guess but it was a bit annoying to hear anyway bc i am not planningon going intoi a big isolationist hole

like the implication that next year some REAL change is gonna happen and totally ignoring the fact that we got married a few months ago (objectively the biggest social event either of us have ever done), that we hung out with Boops and yuka at an art installation, that we've had clare over a bunch of times, that we've had boops over, that he's done a few irl dnd sessions w/ lucas clare boops, that we've been ice skating a few times, that we've done escape rooms together, that we've done some family trips, we did that ceramics class, we've done a LOT of pokemon walks - all of this in teh past 2 or 3 months apart from the wedding - im just like god damn how much stuff do i have to do to satisfy you lol like i simply dont find the same kind of drive to Do Things that he has and I have still done all this shit REGARDLESS

i do read him charitably - as i legit think is important to do in all relationships with someone you like and respect on a very basic level lol - and i dont think he meant to suggest that im massively inadequate lmfao (i mean - i know he didnt) and he apologised for coming in too hard about stuff, and i know he's traumatised by covid (who isnt?) and is terrified of going back into that tiny world where it was just us and we didnt see anyone else for 2y. but that's not on the cards anyway so i felt a bit wrongfooted by the whole talk

also i was so cross i went mute and under my blankets until he sort of to put it bluntly fucked me back into communication lmfao !! me hissing "im cross with you" while he was actively fucking me </3 looool (this is 100%% fine by the way, just for the record, i was way less annopyed by the sex than the conversation, the sex cheered me up even and it was the right move)

anyway whatever. i think we're actually on the same page in terms of not wanting a particularly quiet 2024 (we're planning on going to Iceland in the winter and also there will be a chess meetup abroad somewhere) so we move. i was just annoyed by how he framed it but he did apologise anyway and i know he didnt really mean anything!! but it was annoying lol like omg I try sooo hard. so fucking hard!!!

ETA: fucking. also. he wasn't even making ANY comment on this stuff and he's fully been my biggest cheerleader lol but I've also been so busy work-wise (my "chess career" is reaching new heights after all) and taking care of him these past few months and doing my doll job as well I think I just want someone to be like omg cham you are actually soooo impressive I'm soooo obsessed with you !!! don't worry you don't need to find anything else inside you you are doing sooooo well!!! A Bright Boo Year

Happy New Year! For the tale end of 2023, my discord server did another Hocus Pocus Challenge. @13xwishes challenged me to write a drabble of our ship, Ocean Wishes (Lagoona/Gigi) celebrating the Boo Year with a kiss. So without further ado...

A big bash, with both Normies and Monsters. That happened more often after that disastrous Halloween. This time, they were ringing in the Boo Year together. Monster High was hosting, making use of their larger gym and general space. Most of the little cliques had separated for the early part of the party.

True to form, Lagoona was with the other jocks, playing casketball with some of the guys. She and a couple of the normie guys were creaming Clawd's team.

Meanwhile, in the clawditorium, the grimnastics team was getting in a little extra practice for the upcoming fundraiser. A few normies were watching the practice, cheering for the ghouls when they landed difficult moves. The camaraderie was surprising Gigi as she finished her routine, landing her final flips to cheers from both groups of students.

"The party is about to officially start!" someone called from the doors to the clawditorium.

"I don't know…," Gigi mumbled.

"What's the problem?" one of the normies laughed.

"It's complicated," Venus sighed. "Don't worry, Gigi. Besides. Lagoona will be there."

Gigi perked up at the thought of seeing her ghoulfriend. With events coming up, they'd both been so busy with their teams they hadn't had much of a chance to really be together in a while.

In the grimnasium, Lagoona landed one more shot, demonstrating a complicated shot that took advantage of the difference in her opponent's height and hers. She caught the ball on the rebound and high fived her team.

"Guys and ghouls, the party's about to really get going!" Claire called from the door. "Everyone's headed out to the yard for karaoke and fireworks."

Lagoona tossed the ball into the storage bin and they headed out. They got outside to a raucous party, everyone gathered already dancing with someone on stage singing off-key to some normie song or other. She spotted a vaguely familiar blond bespectacled normie chatting with Operetta, there seemed to be a small crowd near them of spirits that she knew couldn't sing without hurting anyone, and it made her wonder about the girl. She'd seen her around, but hadn't officially met her.

She found most of her friend-group mingling with their normie friends and she went over to them.

"Hey ghouls!" she called to them. "Have any of you seen Gigi?"

"She might be with the rest of the grimnastics team," Draculaura provided. "They were practicing for the fundraiser in the clawditorium."

The singer on stage hit a particularly sour note and they all winced.

"I'd rather Operetta get up there than this swill," Cleo grumbled.

"Be nice," Lilith laughed. "It's Chad…we couldn't stop him."

Lagoona looked up to the stage to see that it was, in fact, Chad up there giving a poor rendition of some normie musical song and maybe trying to mimic the choreography from the show? It was…painful to watch, but Lilith was right…Chad was one of those that did what he wanted.

Gigi came to the party with her group at the tail end of Chad's performance. She was nervous about the party. Mostly because she heard that people made wishes at midnight and if her magic acted up…it would be a disaster. Twyla assured her as they came to the crowd that everything would be fine and they should find Lagoona and Howleen. She couldn't agree more with the idea of spending the party with her ghoulfriend.

Again, she was utterly shocked by how the monsters and normies were partying together. The song on stage ended and there was weak applause for the boy who had been singing. The DJ called for another performer and Abbey came up. The yeti picked a song and performed a lively bhangra, singing in Hindi.

She heard loud cheering and spotted the ghouls. Lagoona included. So, she started gently pushing her way towards them. Abbey's song ended and she cheered for the ghoul.

"Very impressive! We have time for one more song before midnight!" the DJ called. "Any more volunteers?" No one stepped forward this time, so a pair of lights started passing over the crowd.

Lagoona spotted Gigi as the lights passed over the crowd. She separated from her friends and started wading the crowd towards her. She stopped short when one of the lights stopped right in her eyes.

"Crikey!" she gasped. "I can't sing!"

"That didn't stop Chad!" someone reminded her as the crowd pushed her up to the stage despite her continuing protests. She'd never sung before! But…she noticed Gigi getting a similar treatment.

Well, this was one way for her to get to Gigi and stay with her. So, she went the rest of the way on her own. Someone had set up a screen, presumably for lyrics to scroll over. She'd never done karaoke before.

Gigi joined her and they were talked through what to do. The music started and since Gigi seemed more nervous than she was, she started singing first. Gigi took her lead with the next verse and by the end they were hand in hand. The music stopped and the countdown began.

She didn't care about that as she gazed into her ghoulfriend's eyes and inched closer to that long-awaited kiss.

"3!" someone shouted, followed by "2!"

The final call was drowned out by cheers and fireworks. Lagoona didn't hear any of them as Gigi closed the distance and they kissed. When they parted, it was only for long enough to vacate the stage and go off away from the crowd to cuddle.

It really had been a while since they spent any real time together. And Lagoona was glad for this time.

"We've been really busy lately," Gigi noted as they settled in to watch the fireworks.

"Too right," Lagoona agreed. "You know what my wish for the year is?"

"What…?"

"To spend more time with the ghoul I adore so much," she said softly, kissing Gigi again. The genie giggled, remembering that poem from what seems like so long ago. Yes, that sounds like a doable wish.

This is funny because some years ago I didn't even read Established Relationship fics, and now? My favourite tag I write, but I also read them a lot. Aziraphale and Crowley made an existing relationship interesting, when usually that trope is sprinkled with often unnecessary drama.

What did I write?

I wrote 15 stories. 12 of them were part of zines, or other fandom events, and three were "just" for me. Fics just for me

I posted two parts of Be Still my Soul trilogy. This is my big project and baby, an AU set in Finnish history and civil war. It has also it's own blog, @be-still-my-soul-fanfic where I have written thousands and thousands of words about historical extra notes. The third part will be posted this year.

My first story from the last year was also Finland-themed: Be My Forever is canon compliant story where Aziraphale and Crowley visit a special place Finland. It's soft and sweet!

These three weren't my only Finland themed stories, since also one of my Zine stories (Purple) has a reference to Finland. Oops.

Zines

Last year I set up a goal to be accepted in one zine, and I got into two! I Like Pears (@ilikepearszine) and Our Side: Queer Enough (@oursidezines). The first one was about appreciating foods, and has recipes too! My entry was Purple, and it will teach you the difference between Blueberries and Bilberries. For Queer Enough, I wrote Assumption Is The Mother Of All Fuck-ups, and it's about Anathema struggling with her invisible queerness, as she's in a straight-passing relationship. It was a very personal piece for me.

Fandom Tumps Hate auction

I wrote two fics for FTH auction last year! The prompts I got from the bidders were pretty similar, a getting together AU story in a setting I know well. Two very different stories were born!

!False (It's Funny Because I Know It's true) is an AU about a software company. This story was incredibly fun to write (and I outlined it with my husband) and based on stats it has been the most well liked of all of my stories this year. One of my best ever, actually. It's rated E.

Crazy Little Thing Called Love is an AU about LARP players, and the feelings you catch in-character. This was very ambitious topic, with all the feelings in- and out of character mixing up. I hope I could make it justice! It is very soft and sweet, and rated T.

Round Robin

I participated @do-it-with-style-events Discord Server's Round Robin event. It was a really fun exercise where groups of four people wrote four stories in sections: everyone got to start a story, and all the others took turns continuing it with 500-700 words. We weren't allowed to discuss where the story should go, so it was a surprise for all of us. We wrote three lovely stories which have now all been posted: More Than Words (E), Only Sunday Footy (E), Eros (E), Rebels (T). Thank you @elfontheshelves @dashicra and @ashfae for the lovely collaboration!

Guess The Author

I participated Soft Omens Snuggle House server's Guess The Author events four times (it happens monthly). All of my entries were about 500 words, G-rated humorous established relationship shenanigans. And yet people rarely guessed me right! These stories were Gravity (some swordplay), Staging It (planning a heist), Ghost Walk (halloween story) and Christmas Traditions (exactly what it says on the tin) .

How was the year?

I think I improved a lot during the year. If you read Be My Forever and compare it to The Crazy Thing Called Love, or !False (It's Funny Because I Know It's true), I think my English has gotten smoother and flow better.

I also wrote a lot more than I expected, and interacted with the fandom a lot. I think It was a good year. For the next one I imagine I'll finish Be Still, write something kinkier, and at least one rare pair story. And something about S2 when that arrives! And one FTH entry as well.

Tumblr Confession #1: Squigglydigg

I left Tumblr at the beginning of 2022. In truth, I withdrew my heart from it at the beginning of 2021. I left for many reasons, each one long enough to fill a blog post. This one is about Squigglydigg.

For many years I was a part of a really wonderful fan community that sprang up around a series of animated music videos. It was called Mystery Skulls Animated, to differentiate it from the band Mystery Skulls, whose music was used in the videos. Squiggly was an up and coming artist who rocketed in fan community status for her stellar fanart. She was lauded and loved and pedastaled for a long time. Our posts intersected from time to time--as they do on Tumblr--and we talked sometimes. Occasionally she would show up in my writing streams and gave me advice as I worked on the fanfiction saga Thicker Than Water Tales.

I don't remember exactly when she first got dragged. I know that it was done behind her back on Tumblr. She wasn't even tagged in the post. It was allowed to circulate for a long time before she saw it, so she got to see a list of people who "liked" the callout post, several of whom had seemed like her friends before.

Months (years?) passed, and she got called out again. And again. And each time I watched, bewildered, but silent. It didn't seem right, but I was afraid. Lines were being drawn and I didn't want to stand anywhere when the lines made no sense to me in the first place. I thought I knew what was right, but I didn't know how to say it. And I was afraid of the anger.

I kept silent.

Each time, the furor seemed to die down. Squiggly made her way through animation school, still with many people cheering her on. She was even invited to work on the fourth Mystery Skulls Animated video, The Future. We were all hyped to heck and back when it dropped on Halloween, 2020. We roared with approval. We tossed around theories and some criticisms. We brainstormed new ideas. The fandom was rejuvenated and ready for another round of creativity!

January 6th, 2021. The Capitol Riot broke out, or whatever the hell you call what happened that day. Then a comparatively smaller event on January 11, 2021 rolled around. The Mystery Master (first video creator) himself told us that Squigglydigg was removed from the team, and would never be associated with the project again. The fandom Discord server moderators then told us that she had also been removed from the server to protect everyone.

Bewildered, I backtracked through the situation. Not only were all her previous cancellations dredged up, but new statements she'd made regarding January 6th had been added to her ledger.

I read many posts, both from her and from people who had compiled her sins. I will not cite posts or argue further, because I feel I have read enough, but here is my conclusion.

I believe Squigglydigg had the right to say what she said in each case.

I found Squiggly's posts regarding her January 2021 situation to be the most coherent and reasoned posts that I read. Many cancel posts I read ranged from incoherent to personally vengeful, and most things I read didn't take into account anything she had to say about the situation. I did not find even the calmest among the opposition to have compelling arguments at all.

I was silent because as I look at myself, I find I have the weakness called cowardice.

I was shell shocked by the response half the community hurled at Squigglydigg. I was horrified that the "leadership" drew this as a hard line. And I deeply resented the Discord mods saying they were trying to protect "everyone" and thereby madly abusing the word in the process. Clearly, "everyone" was a very specific subset that was ready to exclude at will.

And I was silent.

Sick and angry, I processed this and many other things for months. I withdrew, by and large, from the fandom community that I could never again see as any kind of family unit. It had clearly been rotting for a long time, I just hadn't wanted to consign it to the shelf with fandoms like Welcome to Nightvale or Steven Universe. Not ours, I always said, our fandom isn't toxic.

But this isn't even the first time something like this happened in our fandom. In this time, I recalled when Allon-s-k got reamed, years ago. I said nothing then, too, even though it didn't feel right, the way he got run out. Bullied. I wonder how many times this has happened to others in the fandom. What other instances didn't make it to my dashboard?

I was wrong not to speak. Even if I did not know how to argue properly, I was wrong not to speak out of fear that I might look stupid, or that I might be next, or that I might lose friends. This is a first step in trying to do better. On Tumblr, I found myself gradually becoming selectively honest and selectively silent. I am attempting to make my new blog, my new website, a place where I will be more honest with my thoughts and my journey.

TLDR: I didn't speak up when it was timely, but Squigglydigg had the right to say what she said. I find her statements well reasoned and more in line with the truth than the accusations leveled against her. I think the people who disassociated themselves from her have the right to do so, but I also think that they are wrong and that their reasons are ill-considered. I found their glee and vehemence to be disturbing. This is one of the reasons I could not remain on Tumblr, though it is the only one I will post to Tumblr.

Happy Doomcraft Doomsday 2022!

After the fall of the Hermitblr Discord Server back in January 2022, Demise has come back - this time on a different Server with a different name, Doomsday! The event is modded by the wonderful @ambered-glazed-sheep and their amazing mod team! This year, there are 16 players, and I'm really excited to try to hit at least everyone once or twice!

The Rules are:

You can only attack people who are participating in the event! (Of course, you can still draw characters of other people! However, that will not be considered part of Doomsday)

You can attack other participants by putting your creation of their character into doomsday-attacks and pinging them on Discord.

You can't attack the same person again until they've defended themselves from your first attack, or died.

If you are attacked, you can defend yourself (by creating art for your attacker) within a timeframe of 48 hours.

You only get one life!

You can defend for other people!

You can check whether a person is alive or dead by their roles (on Discord).

There are no specific rules about forming teams!

Attacks don't have to be murder/Halloween themed! However, they can be!

If you want to draw something more dark or bloody, please check the refs channel beforehand to see if the person you're attacking specified anything about that.

You can sign out of the event at any time, just let a mod know!

The sign-ups closed Sep 29th and the game started 8am CEST and there's already been so many attacks! I cannot wait to see how everything turns out and who will be the winners this year!

Each person was able to submit 5 characters into the game, and I put in four!

9w3n 0 (Gwen Cypher) (They/It/She)

They are a character I played on the New Dawn SMP back in Nov. 2021 (I haven't redrawn her ref in a while haha). They are very nervous and doesn't know a lot of stuff from this era and is most familiar with things from the Beta update, like Red Beds and wolves. Endermen are new to them, and whatever a stronghold is? They are very drawn to it and all the new things like Fences!!! What do you mean, they came out several years ago? And where’s her friends? What do you mean Herobrine isn’t real? They are an Allay Elf Hybrid, think BIG rounded ears with blue insides, small wings, and occasionally a tail!

Milo Fern (He/Him)

(I don't have a good photo of Milo yet) Milo is a character I made back in 2020/early 2021 from a TikTok OC challenge about mixing three DSMP creators and seeing what you make! I combined Wilbur Soot, Fundy, and Ranboo and got Milo. He’s played a part of a helpful farm boy who loves to play guitar and hang out with his boyfriend. He has a lot of anxiety and can be very paranoid. He loves redstone, but feels like it’s going to explode if he gets a small detail wrong. Milo's also a retired L'manburg soldier, but I don't really know how to work that into his story yet.

Scaps K. Pigeon-Patch (He/They)

My rip-off GoodtimeswithScar D&D character.

(This image has his backpack on, the one I posted on the Doomcraft server doesn't have it.) He’s just a halfling with elf like ears and sometimes a tail. When I originally designed him I was thinking of the Borrowers and the Littles, I wanted him to have those vibes. He likes to bite people when they try to shake his hand. My DM wrote my backstory and I won't put it here just in case someone in my campaign sees this. He likes to eat soap :)

It's just IRL me, I wanted to add ghostbuster stuff because that's what I've been into recently and I did draw that photo of my buddy Dylan sooo... I used that photo for convenience.

I cannot wait to see what other attacks happen, and I am so glad to be a part of this, this year! I'll be posting my attacks here and @ing the people I attack, so please be on the lookout for that!
