remembering old fandoms and rps and aus i had and im realizing this isnt the first time an au version of frostbite interacted a lot with someone who at least in text had a quirk that does something to the letter s which is ironic considering their name

(never actually watched ppg)#they were besties with snake and there was a joke they adopted him and that he was their “sssson” even if they were only like a year older#our au ggg was very different bc it was like 4-3 ppl rping our own shit but it was very found family and backstories were Angsty#and obviously snake hisssssesss hisss letter sss#then hr haff hiff liffp#fun fact i used to have a pretty nasty lisp when i was younger before i got my teeth fixed up a bit so i honestly unironically love#characters with any kind of lisp even if its the daffy duck kind (who may be a bit hard for me to understand when voice acted like that but#i still Enjoy)#(i need subtitles for literally anything anyway)#anyways ggg au frostbite is also the edgiest of all the au frostbites that exist#least developed/just cool design is glamrock frost#most developed as a character and MOST goofy is toontown frost#anyways back on the lisp whoever put the letter s into the word lisp genuinely needs to die. and the word stop. yes i got bullied about#my lisp why do you ask#ok since im rambling heres a bigger ramble#both gorillaz and hr make me feel better abt my teeth#all the band members in gorillaz have mad fucked up teeth and i didnt have access to a good dentist until like 2020. i was endlessly#bullied for my teeth and i had difficulities eating some things and other health issues because i had horrid teeth bc of genes + my parents#didnt teach me to clean my teeth properly like wow you gotta go BETWEEN the teeth. the white stuff that covers your teeth ISNT GOOD ACTUALL#and hr has a mad overbite and i have that too so that makes me feel better..ive been rlly subconscious abt that lately actually#still wondering why nobody bothered gettin that fixed but i guess everything else was a bigger issue#and the fact i was missing my front teeth#yeah my health back then wasnt the best ! and i was bullied abt it even by my own best friends parents! no good! but seeing silly band#members who r fictional who i was hyperfixated on helped me feel better#man wish i could hide stuff from appearing in tag searches bc i just like rambling in the tags#but then i say one word and it appears in the tags and im super subconsious about it now bc i made one ramble and boom why is it in the#hr tag :sob: :skull:#OH WELL.

When I was in clothing school, we were allowed (and even encouraged!) to combine school work with our other interests, such as cosplay. I made my Narumi cosplay in 2019 when we had to learn to make a women’s suit. ✌️
The suit is made out of recycled fabric (second hand curtains) with zero waste philosophy in mind.

Gonna need to put Mary Kirby + other long time staff being fired into perspective because this isn't a recent development. Bioware has been plagued with issues for well over a decade, and it's not just because of EA.
When Gaider decided to move on from Dragon Age in 2014, everyone thought it was just because he wanted to move onto a different project. He ended up leaving the company completely in 2016 after working on Anthem for a bit, and it was later reported that staff on the project had issues with his writing. He didn't mention why he left Bioware until very recently in a long twitter thread detailing that, while Bioware is a company known for its storytelling and characters, upper management went from valuing its writers to quietly resenting them, and feeling as though the writing were "holding the company back."
When they started working with Frostbite they encountered so many technical problems with it because it was specifically designed for FPS games. They were literally designing the tools they needed to work on both Dragon Age Inquisition and Mass Effect Andromeda while they were working on those games. Darrah (or perhaps Laidlaw, I forget which) even acknowledged when he was interviewed by Jason Schreier for Blood, Sweat, and Pixels, that this is a big industry no-no. But Bioware was put in a hard spot to either work with Frostbite or use the Eclipse engine that DAO was designed on (which I'm assuming would've required developing the engine and toolkit further to bring the graphics up to industry standards). So they ended up working with Frostbite which resulted in a fuckton of issues both for Dragon Age Inquisition and Mass Effect Andromeda, because the teams behind both projects had to design their own tools.
With the added stress of the toolkit also came the toxic work environment, departments that were perpetually understaffed, directors leaving and new writers coming in with different visions for the project, time mismanagement where they spent too much time on "high concept" gameplay, not having a clear vision for the game, resentments between studios, inexperience with coordinating video calls across multiple studios, the resultant mandatory crunch, etc. All of this is mentioned in this article about Mass Effect Andromeda's production cycle and this article about Anthem's.
Casey Hudson and Gérard Lehiany left Bioware in 2014 right in the middle of production on Andromeda (Casey rejoined the company as general manager in 2017, but left again in 2020). David Gaider left in 2016 in the middle of production on Anthem, as did Aaryn Flynn who left before the game was shipped in 2019. Mike Laidlaw left in 2017 and left production of Dragon Age Dreadwolf in Mark Darrah's hands, who left in the middle of its production in 2020. Matt Goldman (creative director for Dreadwolf) left the following year. Mac Walters (production director on Dreadwolf) who's been with the company for over 19 years left in January of this year. Are you seeing the pattern here?
I don't doubt that EA has influence over Bioware considering the recent layoffs appear related to the announcement back in March that EA would lay off 6% of its workforce. But it's clear there's something deeper that's going on at Bioware, and it's really not good.
When veteran senior staff are leaving one by one along with other long time staff, and it's been reported that the studio has a toxic work environment with management issues that make crunch necessary, there is something deeply wrong with the company and how things are being run. This is a sinking ship, and in all likelihood everyone is betting on keeping the company afloat with the success of Dragon Age Dreadwolf and/or the next Mass Effects game.
I want to say something more about how broadly the mainstream AAA video games industry is abusive and how incredibly fucked up their practices of layoffs have been normalized, but this is already pretty long. What I will say is that I'm not claiming this means DA4 or the next ME game is going to tank. It sure as fuck doesn't look good for it, but despite my grievances with Dragon Age, I do want the game to be successful and for Bioware to keep doing what they're doing.
And honestly, whether those games do well or not is really besides the point. Something is wrong at Bioware, whether it's the company itself or the fact it's owned by EA, and it can't be solved with mass layoffs. This is a cultural problem within the company itself, and it's very unlikely to be addressed considering how MEA failing seems to have done little to change how things are being run right now.

In honor of the moose/Iditarod rule 34 chaos post reaching 1000 notes and then Dallas Seavy winning the Iditarod here are all the unhinged stories and things I know about that race
They changed the rules and schedules so you can't do this anymore, but there was a subset of mushers who would race the Yukon Quest and the Iditarod back to back. That's a 1000-mile race followed by another 1000-mile race through some of the harshest terrain on earth in late winter. And the Yukon quest doesn't even finish where the Iditarod starts. To do this required putting dogs in a plane OR having another team of dogs waiting in anchorage and someone to deal with both teams of dogs.
The first woman to win the Iditarod was Libby Riddles in 1985.
Only to have her finish promptly blown out of the water by Susan Butcher who won the race in 86', 87', 88', and 90' while setting speed records the whole way.
Susan did race in 85' but she ran into a moose early and it killed two of her dogs and hurt the rest so she scratched. Dallas got lucky this year.
She was also the first person to mush a dog team up to the summit of Denali, the tallest mountain in North America. This is not what dog teams are intended to do, I don't know why she even wanted to, other than to prove it was possible. I don't think anyone has since.
The race now requires GPS trackers on all the racers and you would not believe the bitchfit everyone threw over those. Mushers can either hop between checkpoints or camp on the trail and it may surprise you to learn that these are the kind of people who have secret camp spots in the woods that they don't want anyone to know about. So now, everyone has acquiesced to the tracker requirement but you must have an account on the race website if you want to see them.
The race has 2 paths that alternate even and odd years with different checkpoints but every year includes a section of race that crosses the sea ice, approximately 50 miles from Shaktoolik to Koyuk. so forget landmarks. point the sled north and hope you're going the right way.
the race is in honor of the 1925 Serum Run and the diphtheria outbreak, but the trail itself is the old freight route which is almost twice the length. also, it's a freight route for hauling freight which means the the racers are going at more or less lightspeed as compared to the intended use.
the most effective way to avoid frostbite on your face is a fur hood and duct tape on your cheeks and nose. Cold-related injuries are rare but far from unheard of. The average number of toes and fingertips among mushers is lower than that of the general population.
The finish line is a massive burled arch in the middle of main street in Nome. There is not a lot going on in Nome at any given time and this time of year is the exception. Every racer who finishes the race gets the same reception, which is everyone in town crowding into the finish chute to cheer them on and the city fire siren going off. The last racer in gets the Red Lantern Award which means that they finished dead last but didn't scratch.
the 2020 race had started and was fully underway when the pandemic lockdowns came into place. as far as social distancing goes, you really can't do much better than being isolated 100 miles into the middle of frozen nowhere but the checkpoints are itty bitty villages with no medical infrastructure and the finish was reportedly terrifying because instead of a crowd to cheer at the burled arch, it was just the siren going off in a ghost town.
there is no way I can tell this story that doesn't sound like I'm making it up as I go. The sign says no sniveling and they fucking mean it.

Perhaps take a scenic drive and partake in some recreation like snowshoeing?
While planning for time in the park, you’ll pack your 10 Essentials; navigation (map and compass, GPS), sun protection, insulation, illumination, first aid supplies, fire (emergencies only), repair tool, food, water (and water purification) and emergency shelter.
Winter has firmly gripped the upper elevations of Mount Rainier. If you’re planning on recreating in the park and away from the roads, there are some seasonal essentials to bring along for winter. A few items to help you handle the extra challenges of winter weather.
Winter 10 Essentials
Snow Shovel (compact) – for digging snow caves, etc.
Full Length Insulated Sleeping Pad -even when sitting down for a break, it’s good to be insulated from the cold snow.
Stove and Fuel – to melt snow or ice into water.
Heat Packs
Goggles and Wool/Pile Hat – for staying warm and protecting exposed skin and eyes is important.
Gloves (base/mid/shell layers) – for staying warm and protecting your skin from frostbite and low temperatures.
Avalanche Transceiver – wear one with fully charged batteries and train to use it.
Avalanche Probe – keeping one on you and training to use it are key.
Ability to assess mountain weather and avalanche hazards – educating yourself about winter weather and hazards can help you keep your adventure fun.
Map, compass & GPS (with extra batteries) – knowing how to navigate even with low visibility is a good skill to build and keep sharp. Bringing extra batteries can help when winter cold saps your battery power.
Carrying these winter 10 essentials when you snowshoe, ski or hike in the national park in winter can go a long ways towards having a positive experience. Making memories of your time in the wilderness that you can treasure for days and years to come.

I had a really fun Katsucon, and there were a ton of Zelda cosplayers who were very excited to see other Zelda cosplayers and nerd out.
When I first started doing this, back in the fall of 2019- I went and followed anyone with a Zelda cosplay. If they were local, I tried to be friends. And then 2020 happened and I started trying too hard to be friends and in some cases I alienated people. So I had to tell myself to back off and sometimes I was okay at that and sometimes not. Anyway, there is a local guy who was doing an incredible Twilight Princess Link and I wanted to be like him so bad it was incredible but I think I kinda freaked him out and he was always polite but distant. So I respected that and eventually did find people to yell with, even if their preferred fandom was Metroid.
A month ago I was at a con and an Astarian cosplayer crosses my path as I’m rolling in Link and he smiled and greets me as he passes and I was like I think that’s TP Link and that was cool.
Saturday night of this con, I go to chat a Link in the frostbite set and he is talking to that same Astarian and it is, indeed, this local TP Link. And he goes “HEY I follow your Instagram and your stuff is so good!”
And I almost fell on the floor but I managed to keep myself together long enough to reply “Omg, when I started doing this, your Link was one I aspired to.”
“Oh stop!” He says. “You’re better at this than me. Can we get a photo together?”
So we did and I managed to keep my shit together just long enough to not have a whole Senpai noticed me moment in front of anyone.
Like damn, that was so cool, and definitely a high point.

Hey Mama, are you doing okay????? In class today we were looking at polar vortex in North America rn and one of the places my teacher talked about was the province i think you live in (you're Canadian, right???) and he said it was like -40 Degrees Celsius there!!!!! I don't even know how to comprehend those temperatures!!!! Like, are you still alive out there???
Hello my sweet summer child! <3 You're right, I am Canadian! And im not going to lie to you, its been rough out here. And more importantly, its been CONSISENTLY COLDER THAN THE SURFACE OF MARS HERE.
My area of the province has set several temperature records in the past few days:
January 14, 2024: New record of -45.1, Old record of -41.6 set in 2020
January 13, 2024: New record of -45.3, Old record of -41.7 set in 1972
January 12, 2024: New record of -45.9, Old record of -39.4 set in 1969
This doesn't account for the Windchill factor which effectively made the temperatures closer to -55 degrees or colder. To put it into context the only way I can think to, According to Environment Canada at:
-28 to -39 degrees Celsius exposed skin can freeze in 10-30 minutes.
-40 to -47 degrees Celsius exposed skin can freeze in 5-10 minutes.
-48 to -54 degrees Celsius exposed skin can freeze in 2-5 minutes.
Literally not a single car in my family's worked, no matter what we did. This is including extended family, so like, 13 cars. Its just too damn cold for them. Hospitals were literally wrapping their ambulances with heated blankets in between calls so that the entire engine wouldn't freeze. In their heated garage.
Its about an eight day wait for any kind of towing or boosting services. From any provider.
We out here, we cant see anything through the ice fog because the air itself is frozen, but we out here.
Also, I feel like this is the perfect opportunity to give the rest of you much farther south than me tips for surviving other wandering polar vortex's in the future, because at least we're prepared up here:
YOU NEED SURVIVAL EQUPMENT IN YOUR CAR!!! I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH!!!! I'm talking heavy duty gloves, hats, socks, blankets, those heat reflective thermal blankets. If possible, have enough for at least two people but if you're a family ensure there's clothes for every member of your family. I also highly recommend that you get hand and feet warmers to put into your boots and gloves to prevent frostbite

On that note, dressing for seriously cold weather is no fucking joke either, okay? There's an art to it, and that art is L A Y E R S . More layers than you think you need, and then one more. If you can bend your arms or legs without struggling at least a little bit, put another sweater on, underneath your windproof thick outer layer. And another pair of socks. Never leave the house without a hat and your ears covered.
Here's a good guide, which includes the warning signs, symptoms, and suggested actions for each stage of frostbite and hypothermia. Which, in case you didn't know happen in three stages of severity similar to burns but on the opposite side of the temperature scale.
Sorry to turn this into a Winter Weather Safety PSA but I genuinely cannot stress enough how important it is to be prepared in extreme cold. And please, for the love of everything good on this earth, do not and do not let your friends or anyone else walk anywhere when they've been drinking. Do. Not.
Every year in my city at LEAST several collage kids freeze to death because "their place isn't that far" "I have a good jacket." "Ive done it before."
People have frozen to death outside bars because they fell in a snowbank and were too drunk to get out and nobody saw them, because they tried to walk home.
Anyways, stay safe (and warm) out there everyone!!!!

Jotun Physiology Headcanon (with respect to one Loki Laufeyson)
A/N: I FORGOT I STARTED WRITING THIS. I created the draft on October 16, 2020 :,) I think the last time I edited it before this week was like 2022.
A bit different than what's been on this blog so far, but I've had this concept for years and figured I'd put it out there in my own way. :)

Regardless of how “bestial” they are or not (the Asgardians are not exactly reliable narrators), the Jotuns are creatures of the cold; this much is clear. Therefore, one might assume that physical activities that generate too much heat would be less than ideal, especially ones that require skin-to-skin contact, even if they want to engage in it. So, for the continuation of their species, biology might have given them a further incentive: aphrodisiac sexual fluids. Ingesting it (both male and female fluids) is the most immediate way to gain any effects, although the chemicals that create the aphrodisiac portion can also be absorbed through the various membranes during sex (male-giving), although the results aren't as pronounced as swallowing the fluids.
So. Back to Loki. :)
Similar to how he is unable to cause frostbite and other Jotun things in his Asgardian illusion, the effects are less pronounced when Loki appears Asgardian. That isn’t to say it doesn’t work, because it definitely does, but not to the same extent as when he is visually a Frost Giant; in general, the effects double (at a minimum) in his true natural state. Asgardians are not affected much: they just get essentially a buzz, a little push; they may grow warm, a little extra arousal, but nothing major. Humans, being far removed from the conditions of the rest of the Nine Realms (magic and other various things that I have no knowledge of), are far more susceptible to its effects: even a fraction of fluid is enough to start something—a heat in the loins, quickening of the heart, an increased desire...and a full “dose”? Burning need, stronger than the most turned on a person has ever been, enough to take over their thoughts entirely, if it's allowed to get that far. And such an all-consuming desire can only be fulfilled in one way: engaging in sex with the one who caused this altered state. And, even then, it's a bit of a cyclical thing, because the more fluids enter the body, the longer the effects last...but if one does not fuck, then one will be incapacitated for at least a day or few, if not more, depending on how much has been consumed. And this is just the baseline from his Asgardian default; from his Jotun form, expect to become delirious with a need that nothing on Earth could even hope to instill in a person, enough to feel like one will go mad.
Side note: There is no such thing as "a little bit of cum" for male Frost Giants. Naturally, they're typically, well, giants, so it's proportional (mostly). This means that Loki produces an...excessive amount when compared to an Asgardian or a human, regardless of which form he takes. Not typically enough to overflow as an Asgardian, it's a bit more within believability then. As a Jotun, prepare to have him leaking down your thighs. Y'know, if your mind isn't leaking out of your head from wanting him so badly. :)
Did I write this whole thing just to excuse the fact that I wanted Loki to have aphrodisiac cum to write a couple particular scenes that may or may not ever be posted? Yes, yes I did.

Orianna and Buck!!!! 🩵🤎
Orianna and her cowboy boyfriend Brutus… well he goes by Buck but Brutus is his government name. They’re silly
Buck is a snake shifter (yes again I know yuantipurebloods exist please) huntsman ranger and hes a mercenary/bounty hunter for hire
Brutus Blackvelvet was the son of the sheriff in a small town called Saltkeep, w parents that loved him and a modest lifestyle in his tiny town. He was in an arranged marriage with a cute little lady named Maple. They weren’t madly in love or anything but they fancied eachother and it was a pleasant arrangement and they cared for eachother. Eventually when demons overtook the country that Buck’s small town was located it, it wasn’t long before they were on lockdown, sheltering stuck in their homes waiting for help to arrive from neighboring countries. The demons brought on a terrible blizzard to his town and one night, his wife Maple saw a dog in the midst of it. Kindhearted and wanting to help the creature, she ventured out into the snow despite risk. The dog was no regular creature, though. It was a hellhound intended to lure out innocents to kill. The hound mauled her, and Buck was too late to help her. He managed to kill the creature, but lost two of his fingers in the process to frostbite and one to the creature’s nasty maw of sharp teeth. Buck carried his wife’s corpse home, in denial of her death, but when he touched her, she turned to ash. This curious phenomenon was because the soul of the hellhound that he had just killed lodged itself into Buck’s mind and body. The creature that had brutally killed his wife had now possessed him. Buck left Saltkeep after ensuring his parents made a safe escape to a nearby refuge island, but he didn’t follow them out of shame and fear of what might happen if he saw them again after the possession and Maple’s death. He travelled to another country, one of the three countries that remained not incorporated by demons yet. There, he used his expertise to become a mercenary bounty hunter, preferring to do non-lethal jobs, but doing unsavory ones regardless because of the hound’s uncontrollable bloodlust. He keeps a glove on his injured hand and stuffs the middle three finger holes to hide his injury’s lasting effects. He also tends to stay away from people unless it pertains to his line of work, for fear of the hound overtaking him and him hurting anyone.
He met Orianna when he was posing as a middle man for a deal between two crime groups, (he was actually sent to murder someone there oops) one group containing Orianna’s madame’s husband, Curtis. She was there as well for “entertainment” for the criminals, commanded by Curtis to accompany him because of her job as an escort/prostitute. Before Buck could even start his hit, a vigilante crime-fighter group busted the meeting. Buck n Orianna got tf out of there together since they weren’t inherently involved in the crime groups themselves, but still got chased down by the guild. Ironically enough, they ended up joining them, and they became crime fighters too, and that’s their party now! Plus Narcyz the catboy cleric lich wannabe. He’s paid to be their cleric later on. Boom. Then that’s really the whole party.

To put it short, its a swap scenario of Friday Night Funkin's Hypno's Lullaby mod, Blake and Red's week ("Frostbite"). But I have no clue how much you know so I'm gonna explain EVERYTHING about that sentence.
Friday Night Funkin is a Newgrounds Rhythm game that got popular around late 2020, the gist is that you, the player are playing as Boyfriend (that is his canon name and I love him for that) who is trying to get UNDER THE SHEETS and DO THE DO with his Girlfriend, Girlfriend. But her father doesnt really like that, nor do these 5 other mfs and a couple o-kids who just wanna jam out, so what are we gonna do ??? RAP BATTLE THEM ALL OF COURSE.
There are 7 weeks out as we speak, updates being delayed due to touch ups happening and. the creators having lives lol
Now FNF: Hypno's Lullaby is a Friday Night Funkin mod based around pokemon creepypastas (pokepastas, for short). Originally it was just Hypno's Lullaby and Lost Silver who where included, but with the recent update it TOOK OFF with a lot more songs and pokepasta characters included (Glitchy Red, Easter Egg Snow On Mt Silver, Buried Man, Hell Bell, etc), along with an original pokepasta to the mod (being Grey and Shinto) !!!!
Now lets focus back on Snow On Mt Silver !!! The player character within the pokepasta is named "Blake" (and by association everyone calls that version of Gold "Blake"), and to give a quick rundown of the pokepasta itself, a kid got a little too curious why his brother was in the ward over a pokemon game and watched Blake's pokemon die out as he reached the top of Mt Silver, where you face (Champion) Red as a final boss within both the G/S/C and HGSS versions of Pokemon. By then, an arm and a leg has been lost presumably to frostbite, and youre made to face Red at the top. Red also gets pretty fucked up too, his chest and limbs gettin all gorey n' shit !!!!! The song of the Hypno's Lullaby week is based off that, the instrumental and vocals playing into the heavy snowfall and both pain and numbness due to nerve damage aspects of both being frostbitten. There was also the Freakchu jumpscare which I think is in the playable version too ??? im sorry my memory is a little wonky, I highly suggest reading through it or listening to a reading yourself, the pokepasta is years old,,,
buuut imagine THAT but SWAPPED with their rival counterparts, Blue and Silver, and in a completely different setting !!!! Instead of the sub zero temperatures of Mt Silver (and Gold's crazy ass not wearing ACTUAL PANTS ??? hes in SHORTS THE WHOLE TIME ???), the blistering heat of wherever the hell they are !!!! ( and I guess Silver is no different, being almost completely covered up in 100 degree F weather)
If I got anything wrong, woops !!!! just excited lol. hope this helped !!! there are full playthroughs of the mod on youtube, I suggest the Community Games version !!!
