Remember how people did theorize on possible relations between Sea Fairy Cookie with Black Pearl Cookie or Frost Queen Cookie since they share similar elements of water and ice? ok so i noticed this before, but i saw it on your latest art and started thinking on it again lol- does your bells paint their nails? because i’m imagining them spending So Long getting that red/gold gradient perfect, and then chipping it while training with their staff the next day and just. dying inside skdhhjkkjj

ah!! you noticed, hehe. i'm trying to think of how to describe it... you might have seen me explain before that my take on bellroc is "gender: no, presentation: yes" so i love the thought that when they're not contriving the downfall of modernity they actually enjoy many kinds of personal beautification, including makeup (when they're not going to sweat it off in the forge) or nail painting. but the effect i really try to depict on their nails is actually henna!

the only difference between the real-life stuff and what i try to draw bellroc with is i usually add a little hint of gold or green to their nails, because 1.) i personally love multichromatic nail polish, and 2.) i will never not take the chance to associate a blorbo with alchemy, lol.

truly what nobler application of the great art than to make... (checks notes) unchippable nail polish
