I’m currently reading Gambits solo run from ‘99-01 and boy…

I summed up how Rogue and Gambit are individually through this meme.

Like, both of them separately are SO incredibly depressed. Let’s get into it.

Gambit

So this will have to be a whole nother post, but long story short. If Gambit can honorably die, he will do it. Like time and time again his depression come out when someone has to do a suicide mission. If he feels he has nothing to lose, he’s gonna make sure he’s the one who does that job. He’s demons taunt him so bad hard that it’s always in the back of his mind. Example from this run:

Rogue

So she’s not the main focus in this comic like at all. But she does get one little moment that brakes my heart. This is it:

Nothing out of the ordinary. She’s in a dressing room trying on a cute bathing suit right? That’s what I thought, UNTIL I read this part:

So, what it’s telling us is that Rogue likes to go to clothing stores, to pick out skimpy clothing to try on, just to see what it would be like. Because we know she can’t wear anything like that in risk of someone touching her.

All this being said, both are incredibly sad. They also both need therapy incredibly bad.
