there is something so beautiful in an honest to god representation of a mlm gay relationship in a mainstream being advertised on every bilboard show. like there was so much love that went into building their relationship, they moved bill from being this one note comedy plot device and frank from being a body in  a hawain shirt to being actual people that had lives and loved and found each other in the middle of an appocalypse surrounded by violence and death. they looked at the horrific world they lived in and carved a home for themselves, grew old together and died in each others arms and i am still sobbing

On this Pride Month I would just like to say that Black Sails really made all of its four seasons and 38 episodes into an expression of gay rage against homophobic brutality and the unbearable loss of love, especially in that tragic context, and that’s still one of the most breathtaking things that any TV show has done, ever.

kind of interesting to me how the majority of popular tv shows with lgbtq+ relationships (or hinted at lgbtq+ relationships) all center around morally questionable characters. like for example some confirmed gay romances are stede and ed (our flag means death) and eve and villanelle (killing eve) and in both of these shows, both of the characters in the ship are murderers and arguably bad people. some not confirmed ones are hannibal and will (hannibal) and nandor and guillermo (what we do in the shadows). again they are all terrible people who continue to do terrible things throughout their respective shows. i guess to me it just kind of gives the message that yes, we can have gay couples, but they both have to be morally questionable and almost undeserving of our full admiration if that makes sense?? like if you’re lgbtq+ you have to be a bad person to go along with it.

just interesting to me that you always have to feel at least a little guilty when enjoying queer ships in media because of this.

Jack and Rayane (tomorrow is ours/Demain nous appartient) : French soap

Really early stage, they just met last week. It’s between a blind boy and a boy who can see, bad boy x good boy, interracial couple. Jack (blind boy) just recently lost his eyesight when a plane crashed in the beach where he was. Rayane, recently lost his father who was physically and emotionally abusive towards his mother and lashed out on him over being gay (he sent him in a private school in London). Rayane is new to the town and high school so Jack doesn’t know what he looks like.
